Omg terrible from start to finish. Ordered 2 adult meals meaning kids ate free. Paid at self serve and waited. 10 minutes later a member of staff came over and said our chosen meal wasn't available please choose again. She came back 10 minutes later to be told our new choice was also not available. I'm sorry how hard is it to say this is what we have available. The self serve didn't update to say things wernt available. So 3rd pick things we really didn't want but kids were hungry. Food came appalling. We had a hot chocolate on our bill but guess what that wasn't working either. We needed a refund for what we bought as to what we wanted. No refunds given just get something to the value of refund. Will honestly never go here again for food (Middleton Oldham). Food was mediocre, staff didn't care and no one seemed bothered things weren't available. Top tip Tesco cafe puts up "not available" on its screens. £20 on rubbish food. We binned most of it.

i ordered food from this cafe and didn’t receive part of the meal i payed for, i also added notes stating not to add an item as i was allergic and they didn’t even bother to read it and sent the one item i did not want, awful. waste of money.

Worst breakfast I ever had, never again. I was regular customer for past years but last few months, food got worse and it doesn't look fresh at all.

Coffee was very weak for a beans machine, just like dark warm water, service was poor, had to ask for takeaway cups as none available at just before lunch which isnt good when promoting self serve options. Also, takeaway cups were Costa Coffee cups.... no way was that warm liquid Costa! 1 self serve till so doesn't really improve queue times when the person in front takes 10 minutes to select a white coffee!

It’s hard to know which the management of this eating establishment hate more, the food or the customers? The serving staff are amiable, but more than half asleep. My Scampi and fries arrived balanced on the server’s arm and sleeve, as the plate was a bit hot. To have used the tried and tested method of, say, a tray, seemed to be beyond him. Peas would be easy to get right, don’t you think? Oh, no, not at Morrison’s cafe, Whitefield. Their previous attempt at Peas involved a half-empty container of desiccated, brownish gravel, which, once, may have passed as garden Peas. But that would have been prior to being parched into the Stone Age, after half a day under the petrifying rays of the food warmer. So this time, I went for Mushy. Big mistake. Several distinct layers of brown, dried, skin were evident. Like an algified concrete skin. Genuinely could have been used by a Geology teacher as a model for plate tectonics. Had the person-in-charge of the food bothered to stir, add water, or even put a lid on the peas, all would have been different. But they didn’t, and that is my point. Yes, it’s a cheap eat, yes, the staff will be on the minimum wage, but someone, somewhere, will be earning a decent living and making decisions that are totally disrespectful to the food and the customer. To make an attempt to get edible food out of the kitchen would cost nothing more than that person saying..‘let’s make a bit of an effort today…’

You get what you pay for! Cheap as chips but clean and friendly

my experience overall was absolutely terrible. I had sausages and mash. The sausages were on the cold side quite like rubber and the mash was like a clay/Play-Doh texture. The gravy was clumpy. The peas were quite nice because they were nice and sweet, but the dish overall was just a no. I didn't deed, enjoy the Coke and the fried bread that I ordered on the side as an extra The fried bread had more flavoured than the whole meal, not to mention the waiter that had came over and passed me. My food is very rude and didn't offer me any sauces like he offered every other single table here. never coming back

Used to live in Eccles and go to Morrison's Cafe a lot. Today I went there basically in a memory lane walk.... so disappointing... messy, disorganised, rude staff obviously overworked, system of ordering things ourselves is positively crap... no receipt, we have to key in a table number before we actually found a table and sat, tables have a number stuck to table and a different one on a vertical sign, no one has enough time to explain anything so we are just sitting here waiting hopefully that what we paid for will eventually find it's way to our table. Really sad but I will not be coming back!

Hair on my breakfast, couldn't find any staff, the place is not clean, the trays are dirtier than the floor, waste of money and time

Use to eat there all the time until one day the food wasn't grate so I just asked them what's append it's normaly spot on wasn't nasty we had a nice chat and we left on happy terms the next day we go up with my doughter and basically everything we asked for was suddenly out off stock basically got refused service won't be going back again note peaple don't give out Constructive criticism because u will basiccly get refused service

Visited this cafe once. Could barely see any members of staff so used the self-service kiosk to order food, which arrived after 10-15 minutes. The main problem was cleanliness of the place where not only was the floor but also the tables weren't cleaned, with crumbs on tables. Yet, the helpful and friendly attitudes of the member of staff who served me made up for the problems above a bit indeed.

Only come here if you’re happy waiting 45-60 minutes for food

Lovely food , lovely drinks , THE BEST COFFEE FROM A MACHINE, But the staff pretty much throw the food in front off you and apparently hate the plates

There really isn’t anything to say about this cafe that isn’t great. The staff make the cafe the lovely place that it’s become. The food that they serve is really good & tables and cutlery are kept clean. Well done to you all - credit where credit is due. I know your customers appreciate what you do for them. ✅

came in for lunch today, utensils trays empty, tables unwiped, and not cleared. Floor dirty with food , flies circulating. Only one member of staff at the till, felt for her. No manager around so raised complaint with staff on shop floor. Spoke to manager who surfaced afterwards, who replied we dont have the budget for extra staff. He was not even concerned about what was said. When it was covid everythibg was wiped constantly why have standards dropped. Was never this dirty before lockdown. No excuse for poor hygiene. Salad was off. No one would go into a dirty restaturant and the canteen standards in Whitefield are totally unacceptable. If they cant afford more staff the place should not be open.

Went in today 17/6/22 at 14.38. Don't know why maybe a little sustenance after shopping. We always say we won't do it again. . . Well we did. Again dirty tables, not enough cutlery, Condiments and staff. The place nearly empty. Chunky meat pie microwaved (going hard as it cools). Stodgy mashed potato and runny gravy . I had sausages egg, chips and beans they can't spoil that.

Everything was pretty bad, definitely got worse over the years. I do not blame the staff for one minute. For a long time it was one guy serving food, taking orders, restocking mugs, cleaning tables ect and the cafe was a mess with nearly every table being dirty. Again do not blame the staff, poor guy looked really down and was running about trying to get everything done. The food was alright, not bad for the price. Just felt sorry for the staff and hope this review gets seen by whoever decides how many staff get put on shift. This one star is for you and no one else!

I went into whitefield cafe today with my sister for a coffee. I have never been into a cafe as dirty and low staff. Tables not being cleaned with old plates of food. Coffee machines filthy with milk all over them and the counter. Cups dirty. First and last time I'll be using the cafe

We come to this cafe occasionally but after today don’t think so again. The cafe was a disgrace . Every empty table , and there were many , was full of used plates and left over food . Why would you want to eat amongst so much rubbish. Nobody was clearing tables . The food was a 20 minute wait . Apparently they were understaffed and it seemed so . The cafe staff were run ragged . We complained to the duty manager who said he would act but 15 minutes later it remained the same . Shambles from management. Many customers were complaining to each other .

We went for breakfast to try out. At first I thought it was over priced like towards Asda. The breakfast came out was very nasty might aswell had a melted block of lard it was that bad. Staff couldn't care less wasn't helpful complained at customer services even the manager was like so what. Over priced cheap nasty quality food given to the customer.

Usually ok for a cheap decent meal but just waited 50 minutes for an order which they got wrong. Seem to get overwhelmed at peak times.

Service is superb, attentive and polite staff. Food is always nice but the waiting time is getting ridiculous now, always over 45 minutes even when nobody is in. It needs addressing now

The price of the food was good as there was a 50% off deal. However there was no cutlery other than knifes, no straws for the milkshakes and we only got forks after 5 minutes of asking for them, by which point the food was cold and the coffee machine stopped working. To top it all off, once we managed to actually eat our food it tasted pretty terrible. Not impressed at all, would definitely not recommend.

Freezing cold, not enough staff, waited all in all nearly 30 mins for a bit of toast and coffee considering it wasn't even busy that's really bad. Go next door to roma where they actually want and value your custom

Really good value and decent food

Good food and drinks, but only problem is coffee cups are not with the coffee machine?

Decided to give it a try for breakfast as they are running the half price food offer all day every day at the moment. What a shambles. Hardly any staff. Tables were piled high with dirty plates and leftover food. Staff that were there weren’t exactly friendly or helpful. Cups on the rack were mostly dirty as dishwasher hadn’t cleaned them properly. Cutlery wasn’t great either. Lots of the orders were coming out wrong. Plates sat on tables for ages when people left. We shopped after and ours were still there 30 mins later. Flies were being attracted to left over food as a result. Definitely won’t be rushing back. At a time when cleanliness is vital this place was very grim and needs a massive shake up. Only positive was they were taking everyone’s details for track and trace.

Worst meal ever , eat out help out ! No fish no pie no staff , me and my daughter though we would have tea out in Morrison cafe was alway ‘s nice , we waited a hour for cold all day breakfast and my daughter had chicken burger , mine was stone cold so she took it back , in the end we went as it was a 1 hours and half later , needs closing down Adele was rude got my money back went to kfc I will never go there again dirty and cold food yuk avoid not worth half price either

Morrisons cafes, regardless of where they are, are all the same standard, with friendly & helpful staff. I always look out for a Morrisons when I'm travelling

It's always been 50/50 at best whether or not your order will be available or arrive correctly at Morrisons Whitefield but at my last (and final) visit I ordered a vegetarian breakfast to be told later there weren't any veggie sausages. It's a shame the café isn't inside a supermarket where more sausages could be quickly sourced... I was then told I could have my money back and the server marched off to the till and gave me the money for a vegetarian breakfast, minus the money for the pot of tea (I wanted coffee but the machine was broken). So I was expected to sit there and sip my tea while pondering how good my breakfast could have been. It's an absolute rigmarole visiting here and shan't be doing again which also means I'll be using the supermarket less.

Reasonably priced tasty food and good coffee too!

Understaffed and poor customer service. The poor women was a bit snappy at me and said in an angry tone that she was on her own after asking for help (after waiting 5 minutes on the long self service ones), clearly not enough people looking after the self needed service area. Same at the lottery counter

Visited a few times, not brilliant, still waiting to have a real "HOT" meal, is handy whilst shopping, but nothing more

lovely big breakfast with good service, no complaints. There is plenty of room between the tables so you dont feel crammed in.

Food OK but had to que for 20 mins then waited for 35 mins for food. Staff rushed off their feet. So tables dirty and cups and milk, cutlery running out and not stocked up. Staff still very pleasant felt sorry for them with people complaining.

Big daddy breakfast is huge. Once apart from quality of sausage but well worth a fiver. Couldn't finish it all. 🤪🤪

Luke warm breakfast. Coffee over priced and only half fills the take away cup. Nice staff. Summary.. hit and miss each time. Solution make your own breakfast and get you coffee from mcdonalds, cheaper and better

Absolutely fantastic all round. Staff brilliant and food came quick and piping hot. And very well presented Put my local morrisons cafe to shame in chadderton.

Very disappointed. Food very late. Breakfast cold and presented poor. Scrambled egg huge mountain of and rubber in texture . No sign of a Manager most customers left due to poor assistance. Not enough staff and 2 poor ladies running about . Come on morrisons upgrade your service .

Ordered poached eggs with bacon and a large orange juice. Not a fiendishly complicated order really...but the plate was cold, as were the eggs, no bacon in sight and the orange was small. If Morrison's mission is to divest itself of diners in hair- curling numbers, this was a truly outstanding effort. Strictly for culinary masochists this choice junk...

I look foward to my friday afternoon meal of Battered Fish, Baked Beans and Peas.Always brillliant quality and taste and always served well and by friendly staff.I love when I am finished to get a cup of coffee to wash it down.My tastes are basic but I have to give Morrisons Whitefield 10 out of 10 for consistency and the food is always good,I sometiimes go for a Sunday Roast Dinner and that is equally very good and great value for money.The food is cheap but the standard I would say is way above a lot of restaurants.Definitely Great Value for Money :)

Good value for money Breakfast !

Had a salmon sandwich with plenty of filling at the front and nothing in the rest of the sandwich. The standard of lots of items seems to be falling as they seem to be cutting corners to increase profits. It's becoming a twin of Asda low prices and in many of there ready meals Thai or EU chicken. No thanks prefer to shop at Sainsbury's or CO-OP. a little more expensive but quality.

Called into the store for a brew and snack staff were ok but customer service desk was shocking staff to busy talking to each other than focusing on customers. Hot deli staff are so friendly and cheerful. And the poor staff on self scan is running around no a second to spare. Other supermarket have at least 2 staff on at all times shame on you that is what you call slave labour

Great for a Romantic meal for 2 at a very cheap price including a hot drink. Portion sizes are great. Service is great. Price is even better.

I had the builders big breakfast butty the barm needed butter on because it was a bit dry. There was a problem with the drinks machine which happens regularly.

Not impressed at all, stood waiting for 5 minutes before being served at the till ! The two staff were too busy clearing up and serving hot food to deal with new customers also tables dirty and floor dirty ! Had to give one star to post this, but sorry nil stars from this visit doubt I'll be eating there again !!

There was a screen to place your order but the person in front was taking so long to order we went to the till to place ours it so much quicker but you still wait a good while to get your order.

A cafe in a branch of Morrisons. Good variety on the menu including breakfasts, burgers, and meals such as currys, fish and chips, pie, chips and peas, chicken, chips and peas. I had the half a roasted chicken, chips and peas and it was very good. Good range of puddings, cakes and biscuits and a range of teas, coffees and cold drinks. Better than the other supermarket cafes I have been to.

Stopping by for a coffee and toast - could be better if the toast was warm, but has been standing around

Did not order any food just had coffee.Everybody in queue regardless of just drinks or drinks and food.Long queues.People seem to have finished drinks before food arrives.Tables left dirty.Filled trays with crockery everywhere on tables uncleared.Trolley for putting away trays was full not emptied during the 20 minutes or so i was there.?won't be going again

Had already paid before I realised that If you want clean cutlery then you have to go wash it yourself. Bacon so well done I had to crack it apart, beans and mushrooms cold. Was told 5 mins after ordering that there was no poached eggs and a 10 min wait but managed to cook fresh fried eggs ???? (Takes same time in my experience).

Did just the trick in supplying a full English breakfast on a Sunday morning to help stave off a hangover. It's very much cheap and cheerful, self-service English grub but that sometimes hits the spot perfectly!

Make sure you are not in a rush as it takes a while for food to come out but really cheap!

Good cafe and food not bad although no good if you're dieting not the greatest of healthy options. By the end of the day it isn't great. Staff need to keep on top of wiping tables and emptying the tray holder otherwise people leave their pots everywhere. They also seriously need to sort the buttered toast out. Pre buttering toast yuk. I got mine and it was swimming. Would rather pay extra and get little butter pattys. Always extremely busy at lunch time so don't go if you just wanted a brew. All in all not a bad place good for small meetings although there is limited Wi-Fi and had my any phone reception .

Had a lovely breakfast with my daughter and the staff were lovely and so was the food. We don't do it often enough.
