Definitely the worst place I have ever been for breakfast, the staff were unbelievably rude and obnoxious especially the small woman with glasses her attitude was just as bad as her cooking, stay well clear!

Will never go here again staff ignorant slamming items down and face pulled everytime i ordered something. He has red hair and glasses so watch out if u do go in. I will be going to greggs next time

I am blind an I went in with a friend who is also blind. They weren’t helpful at all nd they were so miserable they it felt like they were put out by us turning up. I felt really ubcomfortsble with their attitude.

Was in here on Tuesday for couple of breakfast rolls at 9am, food nice and hot and good staff who listened. Go in today at 8am approximately and order the same..... Bacon and sausage barely warm and a woman staff member who barely listened.

Staff very rude, very unorganised, food was cold, waited over 1 hour for fish and chips and a breakfast, tables were very dirty,

Came in today with family for breakfast only to be told that my brother could not bring in a drink from one lady her attitude was disgusting not what was he was told but the way it was said won't be back as bad attitude and cold food

First time in a pound bakery/cafe, Had the all day brunch and it was lovely and hot, service was excellent and friendly, after my meal went into the bakery and bought a few items, looking forward to the Eccles Cakes & Sausage rolls later, Will definitely be back 😀

After attending this establishment in Blackpool today I was astounding by the low service and quite rudeness of staff plus other factors. I went to purchase and I was told we have no change don't you have right money which I didn't then given change back and told I will have to owe it you as we have no change rudely. Then my friend also went to purchase the same as me and was told I have no change so right money or can't do it. It's the Dec and not a bank holiday the main store next store will have change other than the bakery the general store. The assistant came across very abrupt and rude tbh. We also ordered fish and not politely told it will be 20 mins could of asked did we mind waiting 20 mins rather than being told we had too. Poor service, poor staff and poor establishment

I honestly can't believe this place is still open after reading previous reviews. My visit wasn't much better unfortunately. First time user to this cafe. Pound bakery cafe, wasn't expecting Royal service but wow, the staff are extremely rude, unorganised and poorly trained. At the counter I asked for a sausage and egg barm and a bacon toastiie. The girl at the till said they didn't do toasties, so asked if I could buy some bacon and 2 slices of toast, she then said something about toasted bloomer, she spoke that fast I couldn't understand and asked her to repeat and she blurted out "we don't do toasties but you can have a breakfast toasted bloomer" The conversation went on for a few minutes and eventually I understood and ordered a bacon toasted bloomer, which was, in fact, just a bacon toastie. I paid, (she wouldn't change a £20 note so I had to empty my purse change) picked up my drinks drinks and sat down. Radio 1970 was playing, I'd say in the background but it was so loud in the speakers above we had to shout over it to talk. By this point we were laughing as it was getting a bit surreal. Then our number was shouted and another girl appeared with my bacon toastie and no sausage and egg barm. When I asked where it was it was like I'd asked her to give me her wage packet. She was livid, started ranting on that its not been ordered so I got up and went to the counter. The girl at the till refused to acknowledge she was at fault and argued I never ordered it in the first place whilst her colleague stood behind her waving a till receipt in the air shouting at me. All of a sudden a man appeared, I'm guessing the manager, he shoved the 2 girls out of way and apologised took my order and I sat back down. I was furious by this point and my bacon toastie was almost cold. Overall, the staff were extremely rude, looked like they needed jet washing, t he manager was polite and looked drained and stressed, the atmosphere was loud 1970s radio, the food was good though. But not an experience I want to repeat. So its a no from me.

So me and my friend went into the actual store next door my friend bought a sausage roll which we wasn’t allowed to bring in which we was okay with she just ate it outside . I wanted a bottle of pop when we went to eat in the cafe but they didn’t have it but I knew they had it in the pound bakery store so I just bought it there and brought it into the cafe we was then greeted by a staff who very not politely shouted from the other side of the cafe “ DONT DRINK THAT HERE” which I proceeded to explain but she wasn’t having it . I order my food it was a whole pound extra for cheese which was just weird . While waiting for our food the staff came over and started explaining what VAT was and why I wouldn’t bring the drink in but I we just wanted to be left alone while we waited as I said to her many other times it’s okay I’ll put it away but she wouldn’t leave us alone . I was proceeded to get my food without a fork or knife and the food presented was just horrible . I waited 5 mins for someone to tell me where the knife n fork was they just pointed at a pot and they didn’t even have any clean forks which I waited another 5 mins for . By then my food was cold . Never coming again!! Rude staff none of them looked like they wanted to be there . None of the tables cleaned whole place a mess .

Dirty tables, cheap food and one mean member of staff. During our quick visit for some food at the cafe we ordered our food which was fine timing was suitable and expecting as its a busy place. While enjoying our food a member of staff was very rude to two tables one elderly man who just asked to clean the table as it was dirty & also this particular member of staff was impolite to a disabled man who simply asked for sauce which normally would be brought to the table for you. The rest of the staff was friendly and welcoming but unfortunately on this. Occasion this one member of staff made our visit a bad one

Asked for cheesy wedges got told couldn't put cheese on them got a chicken pasty and wasn't no chicken init and ham and cheese sandwich was rock solid

A good cooked breakfast is a thing a great beauty, simple but yet very satisfying. Reasonably easy to prepare and cook. Yet this shambles if an establishment actually manages to make is so badly it needs to be seen to be believed. Walked in with a friend to be instantly told cash only....no problems there, ordered an sat down. A bit of a wait, again no issue as it's going to be a freshly cooked meal. What actually arrived was a travesty, awful doesn't even cover it. Cold beans, tepid tomatoes, a friend egg that looked like it had bee thrown into the breakfast, although runny was also cold. Sausage was cooked at some point, perhaps in 2022, it had the consistency of a tyre inner tube, bacon although cooked was like shoe leather. However the hash brown was perfect....well mine was. My friends one was missing, he politely asked for it to be met with an eye roll and a rather rude erm last thrusting a hash brown at him. While we pondered our fate in the hellishly hot establishment a number of customers complained about either missing items or the lack of heat in their meal. Although each one was polite in their request, the person dealing with them was incredibly rude. Okay it's £4.50 for a breakfast but how can they get it so wrong. This place needs to stop and look at what they are doing. An utter disgrace, please take my advice and walk past it's awful, awful food, served and cooked by equally awful staff.

Came for breakfast and left with no breakfast ordered 3 sausage and egg rolls they advised me they can put it on barms because they had no rolls left witch I agreed received 2 sausage barms I told the women I ordered sausage and egg she stated very loudly in my face it says sausage I told her I ordered 3 sausage and egg she went back checked the receipt it stated sausage and egg within seconds she brought me 2 sausage and egg barms I went too the till and told them I ordered 3 the man working stated I ordered 2 I paid for 3 witch I proved with bank account there excuse was you've paid the price for 2 because it's on barms not rolls like a bakery should run out of breakfast rolls but hey hoe both the man and women proceeded to shove the recipe in my friends face telling them it says 2 the customer service was disgusting from entering the CAFE part of pound bakery nothing but arrogance and abuse was received from both employees working will never return back again

Went just as opened as had an early show. Food was as you would expect for the price so no complaints you pay what you get for. However staff rude not friendly act like they don’t want to be there or you to be there. I would give it a miss won’t be visiting again.

Walked quite a distance from the premier inn at blackpool to the tower looking for a good old English fry up... wish we had not gone here.. when they said they dong do mushrooms and they could not cook my bacon "well done" (nothing worse than anaemic looking bacon) we should have left... but our feet ached and the cappuccino looked good.... " not allowed to put bacon on the griddle to cook it more " I was told ,as it is cooked in the oven ? And so what,stick it on the griddle ! Anyway .waitress came over and said " we have found 3 slices of well done bacon out the back ? ( out the back? Old stock or something lol )Bacon still anaemic, and very fatty ,cold hash browns , sorry warmish hash browns... my fault I should have said can I have the hash browns hot... best thing was the thick toast and cappuccino...

This morning me and my husband went to this cafe my husband had a bacon sausage and tomato barm I had egg and sausage they were both cold and the coffee was to strong we told the staff about the breakfasts and one lady Roughton myhusband a sausage over by hand no plate with the sausage still the same we both left our breakfast and we both told the staff and it cost us £7.90 it was foul we would like our money back or I will see someone hire

Awful experience. Cheese tomato toasty only half had cheese and 1 slither of tomato staff were downright rude said had already eaten the half with the cheese redid order then DUMPED it on our table .will not be returning

Have tried here several times. It is very basic with no frills; staff are warm and friendly and service is quite swift. A good range of down to earth basic meals at very cheap prices - I don't know how they do it.Have tried various meals at brunchtime - yes basic but well cooked to order, tasty and enjoyable.All credit to all who work there, they do an excellent job, my thanks to all.

I went in earlier this week and notice a new lease of life in the place, the staff seemed happier and the place is a lot cleaner. Staff having smiles on faces and was chatty when bringing food out even though they were busy. Only problem was coffee machine not working. Will defo be going back

Upon walking into this place I couldn’t believe how dirty it was tables and floor looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for some time. Also the staff working here didn’t look the full shilling! We got up and left but some of the group we were with stayed to my horror. The sausages were white and food cold probably been there a week. If you want to risk food poisoning or death then go eat here if not AVOID. Environmental health need to shut this place down in my opinion deep clean needed and staff that know what they are doing. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Went in this shop last Saturday and was met by the rudest shop assistant I have ever come across. She was so aggressive in her manner its enough to turn you away. Everyone in the queue was commenting on how bad her attitude was. Obviously she doesn't enjoy serving the public. She needs to be removed asap!

I know that its hard to complain about a café that puts a breakfast on with five items plus buttered toast plus tea or coffee for the grand total of £3!!But the place feels grubby, and I was on my third knife that was still dirty with the past customers food on it. The sausage are a cheap catering type with more breadcrumbs filler than meat.The staff look tired and worn out wishing that they were anywhere else but there. I have never been to a soup kitchen but I think this is what it would be like.

Cramped common cheap. Yeah. What is cheap in Blackpool. Eaten there twice so there is something that took me back. I did actually look for it especially for breakfast. ( all day)

Yes it's cheap, but the customer service is shocking, 4 of us went for the 3 pound breakfast this morning, 1st the wrong food was Brought to our and table and we when we queried it the women said well can't you just have it, I'm cooking as well you know. She then slammed the plates down in front us muttering something about what do you expect for 3 quid each, OMG shocking, still expect a bit of courtesy how ever much your paying. Food was arfull stone cold tinned tomotos, rock hard bacon, and the fried eggs was rank, hash browns were burned, tea and toast was the best bit. Don't be drawn in by the price it really is shocking, spend an extra couple of pound and get something decent. Plenty of cheap places for a breakfast in Blackpool. Avoid at all costs.

I would give this shop and business a 0 out of 10 if it was possible. No air conditioning whatsoever, including in the cafe, and temperature in there on a hot day was measured at over 47 degrees, which incidentally is breaking the law at that temperature. I was told by some of the staff that it has been broken for years, and the company apparently refuse to have it repaired due to the cost. Also very dirty, smelly, and a complete cesspit of a place. Pound bakery is owned by Sayers, and the company is also renowned for treating its staff atrociously. Ordered a cream trifle chips and 2 lataes. Lateas were almost black coffee cream on trifle was off. Took it back and picked a cream scone. Cream was of. Took that back and was told most of the cream cakes were probably off. No apologies were given. Will never visit again

Found this wee treat just at the rear of the tower. Went for breakfast and lunch. Hotel we stayed in wanted £23 for breakfast for 3 of us... pound cafe £9 total. Breakfast was hot and ample. Staff very nice and the place is always busy. For a family on a budget this is a no brainer.

Great place to eat & at very good price`s as the name suggests, very good menu for eating in & food made fresh to order, always busy here, staff were very good & efficient, considering the heat there was, wish we had them in Scotland.

we were wondering round blackpool me and my husband. we pop and have a coffee in here. bloody hell what a dreadful place they hadnt cleared the tables in hours befor we went in the floors were filthy do not go in there we left they still hadnt cleaned the tables. and the floor hadnt seen a mop in weeks

Came to store today at 3.00pm ask for cheese on toast 1st got told they not cooking anything now then got told don’t have it make your mind up which one is it !

Prices of food and drinks have increased. Tables were filthy and staff refused to clear up the tables claiming they were busy. Took a long time to get served, we were the only ones in the queue. Disappointed, won't be visiting again.

We know it’s cheap but was absolutely disgustingly filthy tables not wiped floor disgusting people having trays slammed down on there tables people given over people’s food attitude of certain staff appalling saying she was stressed don’t know why because it wasn’t that busy other customers complaining also about the service but good way to make friends. Things could be done a lot different need to have someone wiping tables and sweeping as people are leaving as no one seemed to be doing anything

Lovely food with good prices, but the tables are left full of pots and dirty, we had to clean it ourselves, probably why the food is a good price. Also, The public toilet is off the eating area which i found quite sickly, a shame as its good food.

First time in Blackpool and we live down south so we don't have these round our way. Oh my word how I wish we did. Everything gorgeous - fantastic cheese on toast, gorgeous hot chocolate and gravy to die for!

Very good value for money, nice products available and plenty to choose from. Great for a wee snack and also for the kids too. Worth a visit if you are up the town.

We came for a quick snack with the kids the staff were friendly the food was served hot and we didn't have to wait to long had the pie and gravy with a side off chips for £1.50 can't grumble with that my only negative was the toilet was horrible but not the staff fault if people haven't got a good aim I would suggest frequent checks and a quick mop will be coming back soon we will make sure we don't need the loo tho

Visited at lunch for a quick snack - tables were full, which was not surprising when the cafe was so cheap - a pound for a bacon roll, with lovely bacon and 50p for a bowl of chips - great service - well worth a visit.

It states fast service, what a joke. I waited for approx 1/2 hour to get my 5 item breakfast and then it came with no toast. The food was cold (apart from the plum tomatoes), The cafe itself was dirty, you have to ask someone to clean your table down, no clean cutlery available, and dinner trays filthy (not one clean one available. The floors where absolutely caked in grime (dry sunny day outside) looks like they havent seen a mop in week. Stay clear of this cafe

We called in here for a quick bite and on entry the heat hit us.within a couple on min i was boiling.we sat in a booth and it was a tight fit as i think the people who made the seats must think that everyone is a size zero ot at most a 6.anyway i went up and got our order and sat back down and withing a couple of min it arrived and it was wrong.i asked for no butter on the sandwich for my wife as she never has butter and we both told the woman nooooo butter.now mine was the 4 for £1 so it was sausage,bacon,beans and since they didnt have eggs left at 10am it was tomatoes with a couple extra bits of toast.well the bacon was like cardboard and the crematorium would be proud of the sausage as it was burnt to bits.the beans were nice and so was the tomato and toast.so half poor and half good.the dirt in the gap between the counter and the wall was spotted by my wife and pointed out to me as shes a clean freak and spots things like that and this was not fresh like just dropped this morning or anything like that.this was dirty old foosty food that is clearly spotted by anyone exsept the staff here.the staff were run off there feet and confused and worst of all the heat they had to work in was unreal and shouldnt be allowed.would i go back,yep but just in the quick in,quick out bit.

Went in there to see what they had in the bakery side and was not disappointed as there was a nice range of all kinds of food in there. Next time I come to blackpool I might just take another trip in there!

Popped in for coffee cappuccino seven in a mug delish and only a pound hubby had scone with jam and cream I had a toasted teacake not as nice as others I have tasted but they were over double the price so for value for money cannot beat it wish they would open a branch in.Glasgow they would make a fortune

When visiting blackpool we always go here for lunch because firstly it costs nothing and secondly the food is good would recommend the cheese on toast it always is busy so somtimes you need to be lucky to get a seat great place as well if you stick to a budget

Avoid like the plague unless you want to get ill. I bought a sausage and egg muffin which was unwrapped from the bakery counter and put on a plate to eat in the cafe section. Upon sitting down and inspecting it I saw it had cheese even though the menu had no mention of cheese. I returned it and they said they would make me one without cheese. However instead of putting my muffin sandwich in the bin, they put in on their counter. While I waited for my replacement sandwich, I saw them take my muffin to the side. I spied on them through a gap and saw them wrap it up again and put it back in the bakery display counter for sale again. This is shocking! Not only did I handle the food with my hands, if I had bad intentions, I could have put something nasty in it like glass or worse and the next person to eat it could get ill or worse. They didn't even open it to check if it had been tampered with. This is absolutely terrible. My replacement sausages were pink (not cooked) inside so I returned them for a refund. Avoid this place. You never know when you will be served recycled food handled by other people.

Was very good on price if you go as a big family was just the best but with the prices going up no longer the pound bakery for me I'd rather go elsewhere

What a lovely little gem. The floor, tables and chairs were all clean, staff came round to pick up empty plates regularly. Me and my partner had the £3 steak pie, chips and gravy I'm not joking it is better than Peter's and Clark's pies put together All the staff in the cafe were all smiley and one person that was really nice was Nicola she was like talking to an old friend even tho we never met before my partner said

Couldn’t believe the prices at this place, such great value for money! The traditional pasty is amazing aswell as the pizza slice and both are in the 2 for a pound offer if bought in the takeaway bakery! Staff were very friendly and polite. A very cheap and clean place to eat on a budget. Would definitely recommend A+++++

Had a pie and pasty here for £1 for the two on the fly. They were packed full of filling and tasty. (There are seats available outside of this Cafe).

Meat and potato pie totally tasteless, chicken mayo baguette ok but very little filling, strawberry tarts were excellent for the price.

Great little place to grab a snack whilst persuing around the vast array of shops & malls & markets - Hot & cold offered & drinks - It is right on the main thoroug fare opposite the winter gardens

Perfect if you are on a tight budget. It is very similar to Greggs, with the fare on offer, but at the very low price of £1. We ere surprised at how good our rolls were for the price. The coffee shop is also cheap and good basic fare. It really is cracking value for money

Called into this bakery as we saw loads of people using this instead of greggs. So pops in and was instantly amazed, the choice is unreal, the quality of the food is amazing, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Went back several times and was never disappointed with the quality and service. Will be visiting again in October.

Visiting Blackpool we came across this cafe what a surprise, my friend had a cappuccino and I had a tea costing one pound each fantastic value the tea was much much better than a cup I'd purchased earlier at motorway services for £2.40! We didn't eat but the cheese on toast looked extremely good. It is a bright clean comfy cafe with very friendly staff

Obviously value for money tried the sausage rolls and the pasties which I enjoyed both always busy would definitely recommend

This place is a hidden gem of a café! We stumbled across it whilst visiting Blackpool at the weekend, eating here twice for breakfast. Cheap food, that was tasty, and was served quickly. Its a shame we don't have these down south!

Average food, average prices, perfect for large groups on a budget. Hardly any seats so can be extremely busy.

If you're on a budget with a large family, on a day out, this is the place to go. Products may not have an overfull content, but never the less, at 2 for £1, you can't go wrong. It fills a hole as they say.

Needed a quick snack to take back to the hotel to tide my husband and I over till the evening meal. Bought 2 pasties and 2 steak slices all for £2. Everything was still hot when I got back to the hotel 20 minutes later. It was a cold and wet day so enjoyed the snack.

Just wanted to grab something cheap to eat for lunch with my husband and 2 children. Didn't want to go to an expensive sit down restaurant and wanted something quick, saw greggs but then thought about the swooping seagulls and pigeons and didn't fancy fighting them off. What a find! all it costs for the majority of things here is £1 ranging from pasties pies cakes and bread, ideal for a cheeky snack by the beach with a café next door I will be visiting again very soon.

We came here on 2nd October stopped there about 215pm today no pasties as the had sold out no sausage rolls when you add the items up could be expensive if you had a family with you I won't stop here again your better off and go to greggs a few shops up the road ordered a boul of chips and guess what that's a £1 and it was a very small amount best thing the place could do when they have run out is shut the doors I had to put one star on this review but it isn't worth that love mr cheeky in Kent

We visited the Pound Cafe every day on our holiday to Blackpool. Excellent value for money. Tea and coffee nice and hot.

Carrotcake was so delicious.the icing was yummy.cant faultitother than to say..,NOT ENOUGH ICING.cornish pasties delicious . cupcakes very nice as well.

This cafe offers great prices for breakfast - only 30p per item. Staff are friendly and efficient. Noticed that the child menu was very very cheap. You cannot go wrong.

Pregnant and weary I dragged myself into the cafe at just after 4pm this weekend desperate for a sit down and a drink. As we walked through the doors a woman at the end started shaking her head at us and shouted "No, we're closed, not serving food - just drinks". I started to explain that we were only wanting to sit down and could we buy a drink here then? She replied "NO! WE. ARE. CLOSING"...So why tell us you're serving drinks? My husband persuaded me to grab a quick drink in the takeaway side and go find a bench outside in the rain to sit down in. As we were walking out I looked at the opening/closing times and it clearly said it closed at 5pm. Maybe the staff fancied getting off early to enjoy the rest of the rainy saturday?

Visited this place with partner whilst we stayed in blackpool for a few days and went back every day we was in blackpool, And even bought food to take away with is it was that good. Great food and great staff. When your in blackpool I can honestly say this place is worth a visit.

I popped in to check the menu which looked incredibly cheap. Was going to give it a try but then saw the state of the floors and left. This was only just before 10am but the place looked very grubby with built up dirt in corners and under seats. I saw someone wipe a table, followed by a long seat and then another table with the same cloth used for both tables and seats....ugh! Shan't be bothering!

Found this little place,we had sausage bap, and two toasts with 2 eggs and 2 mugs of tea for £4-60. It was worth it hot and fresh and the staff all smiled.

My wife and I used this establishment every day during our short break in Blackpool.Staff were all pleasant, food is basic but good and the price is very reasonable even if your on a budget.Could not resist their carrot cake at two pieces for £1 in the shop, made my day as the taste was excellent.The cafe is always full but you can usually get a seat as someone is on the point of leaving most times.What more can I say the fact that it is well frequented speaks for itself.

This place might be cheap, but the quality of the food is awful. The sausage rolls were almost all thick pastry with a tiny amount of undercooked meat inside. The staff don't seem to give a damn and were very offhand. Wouldn't go back.

Excellent jumbo pasty for £1 . Fast service and hot food. Don't know how they do it so cheap. Always busy

I've only visited twice, but I love this place. The cafe is clean, tidy and bright, with leatherette benchseat booths and colourful seaside pictures on the walls, giving a very unpretentious, slightly vintage look.

went to this place for the first time last year and have been back loads of times great value and food good when taking the grandkids to beach often go here first it's so cheap not worth making your own butties kids love it so do I

Popped in for a quick bite after shopping, apparently no food was being served and no hot drinks were available. 30 seconds later she brought 2 trays of food to the table next to use, full of hot meals and hot drinks. Even when we got up to leave after we saw all this there was no apology.

Found this while waiting outside shops for wife to to finish shopping. Everything £1, had to see and taste it to believe it. Highly recommended for a small lunch between shops. Will definitely visit again in future. Cheese on toast lovely.

I have given up going in here! Everytime I went in before 12.00pm, lack of hot pies/sausage rolls. Always got told" Woant be long...In the Oven" !

Found this while shopping couldn't believe it? Great value for money. Used every day for the whole week we were there. We ate in, went for coffee and drinks and bought lots of take away as well as buns. Kids loved steak bakes and cookies. Much cheaper than Greggs!!!

Great little find what more could you want everything £1 very friendly and fast service and their cheese on toast is a must will definitely visit again.
