The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in North East

We have been to the Fox & Hounds many times over the last few years and once again we found it to be absolutely fantastic with a great range of lovely food - this was one of the last times that we managed to get away with our boxer dog as she died suddenly in July but we will definitely be back again In May 2024 with hopefully a new boxer puppy. We returned in May 2024 with Ruby our new boxer and as ever the food and beer were fantastic.

Extremely rude bar man ( wouldn’t even say man - boy) , stood at the bar waiting ages for drinks when it wasn’t even busy he could see we where waiting and still continued to ignore us and stand at the other side of the bar. Spoke to customers very abruptly, there was multiple customers complaining about his behaviour. When the bar closed we were told to ‘get out’ and then ‘wait outside’ which isn’t an issue the issue is the way he speaks to customers. It could have been said in a very different way. Other than his behaviour the drinks and place was really good for a chill night in the Pub. This boy needs trained on how to deal with customers before there’s non left.

I went to Jumping Bean last week in a group of 4 and we ordered the Nachos, Currywurst Hot Dog, Stacked Burger and Texas Burger. All mains were delicious and everything was devoured in no time, even by my sceptical meat-eating friends who were very pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be returning for some more moreish vegan fast food!

Managed to get a last minute cancellation for afternoon tea on mother’s day and my god I wish they didn’t bother. Came to £50 for me and my partner for basically 4 scones 2 strawberry’s, 1 sandwich chopped into 4 pieces and 2 little trifles. Absolute daylight robbery. Also had stuff missing from the afternoon tea which we didn’t notice till we came to pay. Wish I had checked before hand on the price so my fault I guess but never again

The food, tea, staff and ambience can only be described as great. I love it. A massive variety of teas are displayed. The food is very appetising. The decor is interesting and comfortable.

Buena comida, realmente disfruté lo que tenía. Había unas 4 señoras trabajando y siendo súper amable con los clientes. Mientras me abría paso en la cola me di cuenta de que un miembro del personal era tan inteligente y miserable que temía ser servido por ella! Por supuesto que la entendí a ella y la expresión miserable, las pestañas falsas horribles gigantes y el hecho de que ella estaba llamando a todo el mundo compañero era solo poner para mí personalmente. Vergüenza porque ella era el único problema destacado

Sadly there was no cheese no pizza bases. The sandwiches /wraps are already made up so I seldom like the combinations therefore very limited choice

Nice little cafe, pleasant staff but over £7 for an egg mayonnaise sandwich with a salad garnish was a bit pricey I thought. The sandwich was ok but just normal brown bread with a non too generous filling.

Excellent food, proper homemade Sunday lunch, best one we have had in a pub for a very long time, l would highly recommend that you go, we will be back, price is very good l have no complaints whatsoever EXCELLENT SERVICE AND FRIENDLY STAFF

Lovely little war time themed cafe. Fantastic atmosphere and great staff. Food is delicious, everything freshly made. Would highly recommend, especially for history buffs. Second time this week for us. I’d suggest you get there early as they sell out fast on most items.

Lovely bar and restaurant staff friendly welcoming best bar restaurant about something for everyone. Been few times breakfast lovely and evening food lovely for family great night all round. Definitely be back very soon with friends and family.

The food is really beautiful in here and the surroundings are just lovely. I especially love the art work by local artists on the walls. The waitresses are really nice and friendly . It's a shame it never seems busy.

After a morning braving the wind and rain we called in for tea and scones. Everything was great when it arrived, and very nicely presented. Service seemed rather slow though to say the cafe wasn't overly busy. They have a huge range of loose leaf tea, really good home made cakes and scones, and a short range of more substantial meals.

amazing food and superb little cafe cafe and at reasonable prices too. me and mam come with our little yorkshire terrier. they love him its a friendly warm atmosphere and the staff are brilliant. thanks so much smithys !
