Every time we’re over in the area we visit Cafe 32- usually for breakfast so this has now become our ‘go to’ This visit we had eggs- mine poached and hubbys scrambled. Absolutely spot on! Came with two slices of sourdough- the BEST sourdough we’ve ever had- where do you get it from??!!! Washed down with two lovely strong cappuccino coffees- just perfect. Cant recommend enough- it’s a firm favourite of ours now

Taking part in some training at Linskill Centre so called into Cafe 32 at lunchtime. I was horrified to see kitchen staff handling salad onto plates without wearing gloves, particularly as I also observed one female member of staff scratching inside her ear with her fingers and then putting them into a bowl of salad to put it onto a plate. I cancelled my order and just asked for a coffee-made by counter staff. As I waited the same member if staff was putting her fingers in her loose , uncovered hair, wiping sweat off her forehead with the back of her hand and then touching food. I wouldn't eat anything prepared in the kitchen. The coffee was good. My friend had a cheese and onion quiche which was microwaved until it was almost destroyed- the pastry collapsed and the inside filling was like rubber. She left the salad untouched after what we saw.

Paid our 2nd visit this week to Cafe 32 this lunchtime for a coffee and bite to eat. Faultless as usual- perfect cup of coffee, tasty fish finger sandwiches and a brownie to finish off. It really is a little gem of a place, staff are always welcoming and a fabulous choice of food. If it was open in the evenings we’d be in for our evening meals!! Always somewhere we visit when we’re over this way- see you next time!!

Found this cafe through Trip-advisor & visited on 2 consecutive Tuesdays, first one we had lattes & BLT, short staffed first visit but still got the food out, only comment would be was supposed to come with crisps & salad but was just the sandwich which was delicious & we ordered another latte to wash it down, the most recent visit was lattes with cheese & caramelised onion scones, OMG they were amazing & a steal at £1.90 each, this is definitely my go to place now we know it exists. It’s really popular at lunch time with lots of people popping in for take out sandwiches, would give it 11/10 for value, the setting is lovely too with loads parking & very clean! Miss it, miss out!

On a recent 3 night break in North Shields we visited Cafe 32 on the strength of TripAdvisor reviews- who knew my old high school had a cafe?!! On our first visit we couldn’t even get a seat- it was buzzing- a great sign. So on the morning we were due to return home, we got up early, loaded the car and headed for Cafe 32 at 8.15am!! That’s how determined I was! We found ourselves a table and ordered breakfast- two cappuccinos, scrambled eggs on toast and poached eggs on toast. Served promptly and arrived hot- was delicious- we thoroughly enjoyed what we had and it set us up nicely for the drive home. The cafe was busy with people popping in and out for takeouts, I assume on their way to work and when we left it looked like they had a busy day ahead For me there was an additional reason I wanted to eat here and that’s because I was a former pupil for about 8 months at Linskill High in 1972-3 when I was 11 so it was a trip down memory lane for me with the added bonus of enjoying some delicious food and drinks. We will definitely re visit next year when we’re over that way and definitely recommend this lovely little cafe

I want to love cafe 32. I visited on a weekly basis with my daughter for a few weeks until recently. It has lots of positives, but unfortunately a few downsides too. The good: varied menu, good portions, nice side salads, cheap, friendly staff, high chairs and space for buggies. The bad: mainly the long waiting times - often well over half an hour from ordering. Also food/drink prep sometimes lacks refinement eg coffee far too milky/weak, poached eggs not runny, but the simple things are done well with nice fresh ingredients. I hope they can iron out the issues as it is a lovely cafe in many ways.

Ordered the all day breakfast today now I'm a traditonalist and don't do beans on brekkie but that's just me. it comes with Bacon &sausage;{75%meat} fried or scrambled or poached egg [free range],black pudding mushrooms grilled tomatoes, beans and toast{white or brown} this was delicious and well worth the £4.95 its all cooked fresh, so expect a little delay. The offer for a tea or coffee with cake or scone for £3.00 is worth it too, I opted for the fruit scone it was nearly the size of the plate very moist, the teabags are made on site and it comes with a sand timer so when its done your tea is ready to pour. well worth a visit to this little gem and if you're in North Shields it's in the Linskill centre, Lynn is lovely too very knowledgable and passionate, for the weightwatchers amongst you they offer no count food options which include Chilli with wholegrain rice, sweet potato fries and burgers they are starred on the menu.
