Been years since I have been in here *very nice welcoming feeling when I entered * Lovely pub Lush atmosphere Bar staff very helpful and polite They recommended drinks when I asked San Miguel was nice The 49 ale was very nice, best ale I have had for a while The feeling of the place was absolutely lovely tbh I really liked it and will be visiting again soon Thank you

This bar is run efficiently and welcomes all newcomers for pool the football or 2.70 Tuesday night ale reduction and they have domino cards and weekly draws. Also on a strip of three bars so you can have a great night out.

The Ale House is a great place, a proper pub, Darts, pool, juke box and live music and sport. Frequent visits from street food vendors.Friendly staff

We called in on a spur of the moment whim after a day at the races. What a great friendly pub. Large selection of ales. If I lived in the area, this would be my local. Happy times!!!

Good old fashion pub and friendly

Outside areas, sky sports, pool table, jukebox, value for money and friendly staff. What's not to like? Would highly recommend a visit. They have entertainment most weekends with live bands and karaoke!!!

Popped in on an afternoon just after noon. A nice pub all in all. A reasonable selection of real ales but my first selection, Hobgoblin Gold, was off. The pub hadn't been cleaned thoroughly from the night before as there were nuts/ crisps on the floor. Also the seats needed wiping as old liquid stains on them. All in all a canny pub if you are passing.

Met some friends here. It was a little crowded, which made it very hot inside. Otherwise ok for a few beers at a reasonable price

We took our nephews to the pub's children's Christmas party yesterday. Can't recommend enough. Great value for money and lovely atmosphere. The woman who ran the activities was brilliant with the kids. We will be back for the Easter party. Thank you!

Entramos cuando el automóvil estaba teniendo una reparación, sin saber que no estaba listo para abrir, se hizo muy bienvenido y tomamos dos cafés y nos sentamos, examinando el menú decidimos pedir el sándwich de carne asada caliente, qué sorpresa cuando Llegamos, uno nos habría hecho a los dos, stottie de aire tostado lleno de carne asada y salsa de carne, servido con col de Cole, papas fritas frescas y una ensalada crujiente.

Llamado en un par de ocasiones últimamente - cerveza buena - Hobgoblin y Sunbeam del Banco a precios decentes. Cálido y cómodo pub y las camareras y gerente amable y servicial. Regresará x

Recientemente se mudó a la zona. Llamado en un fin de semana ocupado. Pub decente, pero el gerente propietario sea quien sea. . . ¿Se modelo él mismo de Basil Fawlty? ¡Grosero! Volveré aunque puedo manejarlo?

Amplio salón y bar con zonas adecuadas para comidas y entretenimiento regular. Buena selección de cervezas sidras y cervezas. Muy cerca del transporte público.

We have enjoyed our Sunday lunch here now for a few weeks, it gets better and better on each visit, the food is piping hot and attractively set out. The soup starter has been different each week, this is home made (no processed rubbish here), stunning flavours, main course is extremely nice, roast pot, mash Yorkshire pud, with an array of fresh veg(not processed/frozen), the chef takes time to come and talk to you, lovely professional touch. The venue is warm, cosy and very inviting. All staff work hard to ensure the time you spend in this venue an enjoyable time, whether your having a meal or watching sport. Great place to visit, 2 courses x2 for less that £18, come on you can't beat it, have a go, I bet you like it

Following a very busy day at the North East Chilli Festival and a trip along the Ouseburn we tried to get a table at a near empty Gusto Restaurant on Newcastle Quayside only to be told by a very snotty restaurant captain that if we hadn't booked we couldn't have a table..!!! Needless to say we jumped into a taxi and returned to our local the Benton Ale House to find that Frank was still in the kitchen, so the blonde and I both ordered Gammon Steak with fried egg and all the trimmings. Not exactly haute cuisine but hot and very very tasty and washed down with a nice cold bottle of the house white not bad with change from £25. The real ale is excellent too, try a pint of the forty niner, first class.
