Daisy-Mae's Vintage Tea Room in Redcar and Cleveland

Lovely little place with old-fashioned elegance and taste. Nice coffee and a great selection of gluten free cakes. Enjoyed the visit and will certainly return.

I had a savoury tart with Stilton cheese which was very tasty, my wife had soup of which there was a choice of 3. It’s at a great location right on the promenade opposite the Beacon. We both had coffee but they specialise in loose leaf tea of every description. Well worth a visit

Called at this lovely tea room whilst stopping off at Redcar on the last leg of a coach trip. It had just started to rain, so we were pleased to sit down in comfort and enjoyed a cream tea - a pot of tea (loose leaf and very good) and a scone with jam and cream. The good sized scone looked rather pale but was moist and tasty. The cafe is on the front opposite the vertical pier, so there is quite a striking view from the window. The furniture, crockery etc all fitted the vintage theme. Nice toilets too! The young woman who served us we learned was the proprietor and we enjoyed a pleasant chat with her. She does the baking herself, and if I’m ever in Redcar again I’ll certainly go back and would love to try out the cakes.

Popped into Daisy-Mae’s tearoom today. Lovely atmosphere and good vibe. I tried their mango sorbet, and a scoop of raspberry ripple. Incredibly tasty and I’m looking forward to my next visit! 🫖🫖

We were pleasantly surprised to find this old-fashioned tea room on the seafront at Redcar. Good coffee as well as tea accompanied by fruit scone (cheese scones also available) and cake all served on bone china. Preserves and locally roasted coffee beans also sold here. I can recommend the fig and port preserve. A little table game on each table is a nice touch.

A lovely tearoom: friendly, charming and warm. Excellent homemade cakes and adventurous scones (try the mincepie variety!); delicious leaf teas and superior coffee. Everything is served on delicate vintage china. My favourite place in Redcar.

What a little gem this lovely tea room is, we found it by chance after strolling along the beach with our dogs & little one. Fresh scones & Yorkshire tea with all the trimmings. Whilst the decor was lovely the ham sandwich on white bread turned out to be shaped processed ham and bread from a white sliced loaf. I thought I would get a better quality sandwich for my £7.00

We arrived at 1:30 and were offered lunch and afternoon tea menus, but really we just wanted a drink, and shared a buttered cheese scone between the two of us. Pretty decor, beautiful furniture, all very clean, friendly staff and a wonderful selection of chutneys and jams. Yorkshire Gold tea (loose leaf) was lovely and so were the mismatched teapots, milk jugs etc. (Sadly, not for sale.) Scone quite big but a bit squidgy and I think it could have done with slightly more salt. I would come back and maybe have cake. Good to see a man washing the pots. Spacious washroom with a warning about the boiling water from the hot tap, and it really was too hot for handwashing. Better to install something less vintage and more practical.

Called in on a hot sunny day for a little snack. I decided to have a Tea with crumpets and my wife had coffee and a fruited scone. Service was very polite when taking the order. When the drinks/food arrived they were very polite when they left it. For me it has been a long time since I have gone old school and had loose tea but you can taste the difference. Receive the crumpets on a stand and got little individual jars of butter and blackcurrant jam. Never had it on crumpets before but really enjoyed it. The scone was moist and really tasty. So if you want a little treat when in the area go and give it a try

This looked like the best cafe along the front so went in and was not disappointed. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Friendly staff and good food.

Struggled into this cafe with my travel scooter, initially totally ignored by female staff member. So sat outside eventually our order was taken. Service very slow, disappointing stodgy scone arrived. A young woman with pushchair and toddler entered the cafe and left too without ordering. Won't be returning or recommending this cafe.

We arrived at 4.30 pm when most cafes had stopped serving food in Redcar. My grandson wanted something from the breakfast menu(!) and the lady kindly made it for him. Sandwiches were excellent. Would definitely recommend. Pleasant service.

Saw this place tucked away a corner. Was with my future MIL and we were after something light. It is a lovely homely place nice vintage tea sets used.Had English breakfast tea with tea leaves! Now that makes a proper cuppa! Now I will say the sandwiches are a little pricey for what you get, but being homemade, and the service you receive does actually justify it in mind.This is a place I will consider making the trip out to visit again

Lovely private evening celebration at the Daisy-Mae’s Vintage Tea Room. Lovely staff, gorgeous selections of sandwiches, scones, cheese scones, cakes and a good selection of high quality tea and coffees. Good location with good views of the sea front. We shall return!

Gorgeous tea room with friendly professional owners. Just been to my sister in law's baby shower and it was perfect. Beautiful homemade afternoon tea. Was plentiful ! China was beautiful and room decorated beautifully by her friends. The service was brilliant lots of choice and very polite checking tea was refilled and everyone had what they needed. Would definitely recommend for a function or if you want a friend's catch up. Thanks for a lovely first time experience .

We hired Daisy-Mae’s for a friend’s baby shower. The afternoon tea was lovely and excellent value for money and the owners were accommodating when we had a couple of last minute changes to cater for. We had exclusive use of the tea room for two and a half hours for a very reasonable rate. I would absolutely recommend a visit to Daisy-Mae’s and will definitely be returning!

Popped in here for a coffee and a quick bite. The " boss " told me the coffee machine was out of order but the cafetiere was very nice with a " breakfast" scone. Nice and peaceful. Loved it.

Very friendly and accomodating, great for kids - our 5 year enjoyed a special afternoon tea pouring fresh orange juice from a teapot! Fantastic afternoon tea with lovely vintage China, wooden games on tables. This was our second experience at Daisy-Mae's and we'll certainly be back on our next holiday. I recommend you phone in advance to book a full afternoon tea.

We have been here twice now and were very impressed both times. The staff are friendly, the food good and fresh, and the ambience tranquil. It is right on the seafront opposite the viewing tower. The tables are not crambed in like some cafes and there is a large accessible toilet. Very suitable for disabled customers. Great choice of teas - many very unusual, plus good coffee and soft drinks. This is not a fast food cafe as the meals are not prepared until ordered. Nice fresh salads, tasty baked potatoes, good range of cakes.

Called in today on the off chance of afternoon tea even though we hadn't booked. They were so helpful and welcoming not to mention accomodating. Called back within the hour to a wonderful afternoon tea... all the usual sandwiches, scones and cake. Lovley pot of tea. The whole place has a welcoming feel to it very homely calm relaxed ambiance.... clean ,tidy and well maintained. Toilets were a good standard with disabled and baby changing facilities. Wonderful place wonderful food.

Daisy-Mae’s is now our Tea Room of choice when we visit Redcar. As well as their extensive range of teas and coffees, they have a splendid selection of sandwiches, cakes, scones etc (and the cheese scone with chilli jam is really good).

From the soup of the day through to the cakes and scones this place is one of my favourites in Redcar. Great choice of teas. Lovely coffee. Friendly couple running it with activities for children during the year.

I thought it sounded a nice place to take my wife. The people are really friendly and if you like a choice of teas this is your place. I guess I just didn't like as much fuss as loose tea in tea pots. Maybe I've been spoilt by tea bags.!

Can't believe we have not found this cafe before. Was amazed to find that it has been open for 2 yrs. Lovely quaint tea room with real China cups. Overlooking the vertical pier. Had a delicious afternoon tea here on Saturday. Beautiful vintage cafe with authentic china and tea pots! Like stepping back in time. The cakes and scones were lovely and the chilli jam the best I have tasted!

Nice little tea room but very busy so be patient, I had poached egg on muffin although it tasted very good it did seem a bit pricey for what you got.

Varied selection of teas available. Bit on the expensive side for the area. Service was slow but owner was very welcoming. They offer craft days and kids cooking lessons. Amazing views of the seafront. Well worth a visit.

I took the family here for a snack but ended up in the pub next door because it not dog friendly, but we got food from the café to the pub lovely food

The tea-room is quaint and very homely- I commented when we arrived that it was nice to eat somewhere independent in a world full of Costa's, however, when we left, we were disappointed with the experience.

Our new favourite place to go whenever we meet up for coffee. Charming decor, friendly chatty staff, great food and huge tea selection. It will take you a long time if you want to taste them all. There’s games too for you to play at the table which is quirky.

Organizan mañana jueves que interesada puede simplemente pop junto a con sus artesanías y natter lejos por un par de horas mientras que beber un buen cerveza! Delicioso té de la tarde también disponibles a un precio muy razonable de £9. 95 cada uno, sin duda te lo recomiendo si estás en la zona.

A morning cuppa was a delight with so many teas to choose from served in Shelley china. My friend and I followed up for lunch and the ham salad served with warm cheese scone was so nice.

Llevé a mi familia aquí y fue muy decepcionante. Después de tomar un asiento nadie llegó a presentarlo y nos sentimos ignorados, hubiera caminado en este punto, pero en nuestro grupo había viajado un largo camino. El personal detrás del mostrador tenía su espalda a todos los clientes, finalmente regresaron y se llevaron a nuestros pedidos, pero nos tomó 30 minutos antes de su eventual conseguimos nuestros sándwiches. El servicio fue muy incoherente y carecía de cualquier tipo de descuento o pasión eficacia. . . . . Despertar. ven los clientes hay detrás. La comida estaba bien pero nada extraordinario. No volvería y no lo recomendaría.

I went with my sister and father for his 93rd birthday. Looking for somewhere special I thought the Daisy-Mae Tea Rooms might offer that something special and it certainly did. Afternoon tea of cakes and sandwiches was excellent and offered plenty. Nicely designed and with detail for the vintage and offering something different, the owners are welcoming and happy to engage in conversation. The homemade cakes, scones and sandwiches and excellent and the array of speciality teas dazzling. A very pleasant interlude on an afternoon in Redcar. Thoroughly recommended.

Acabamos de tener un desayuno encantador aquí, tuve salmón ahumado y huevos escalfados, otro sitio de Redcar vende que para el desayuno? La mayoría de las cafeterías en la zona sales de olor de grasa y por lo general no me gusta las opciones en el desayuno ya me gusta ver mi peso. Su agradable venir aquí y esto no sucede porque no hay comida frita deliciosos pasteles caseros, sándwiches, ensaladas, desayuno como avena, huevos escalfados, granola, saludables opciones.

Muy impresionada de ver la taza y no estoy de revisión de té". De haber estado aquí en varias ocasiones la calidad de la comida es excelente. Por ahora debemos tener probado todo el menú. Hay una gran selección de tés para elegir. Los niños son muy bienvenidos, y nada es demasiado problema.

Fuimos como un lujo mientras mi hermana y sus dos hijos pequeños estaban de visita desde Londres. Nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos y nada era demasiado problema. Aunque vivo en Redcar no tenía ni idea de que este salón de té encantadora existía y qué sorpresa fue. Hermosamente decorado, el personal era atento y muy elegantemente vestido, los bollos se presentaron en un stand tarta con galletas de cortesía quebradiza de niveles y cada uno de nosotros nos dieron nuestra propia tazita (conciliación y al platillo y teteras que, sumado a la sensación de época muy pintoresca del lugar. El salón tenía un ambiente encantador y bien merece una visita. Sin duda volvería otra vez!

Esta fue una experiencia preciosa ya que había tomado mi anciana madre en silla de ruedas. En realidad (HRR) instalado fácilmente debajo de la mesa! Sirvieron té en teteras y tazas tradicionales y platillos. Nuestro pan tostado y engastar llegó en teacake un stand tarta de tres niveles con diminutas tazas de mantequilla y mermelada casera de anove. Quizás un poco la media de los precios, pero sin duda vale la pena!

Encantador salón de té pintoresco. Teníamos té de la tarde que era abundante, que incluía 3 diferentes tipos de sándwiches y tartas los bollos estaban deliciosos tazas y platillos son adorables. Te dan una buena olla de tamaño de té.

La calidad y selección de tés de hoja suelta aquí es un raro y maravilloso hallazgo. Servir té con una pequeña galleta quebradiza en el lado elevado toda la experiencia a la perfección para mí y eso es decir algo, ya que estoy muy particular sobre mi té!

Este es un salón de té propa vintage. Todo es vintage de la mesa a la trajes el watress viste. Mezclaban el personal servicial. Té en propa chine teteras y pasteles en la tarta. Me dieron un café con leche ya que no té elegante y fue una media taza de café, pero entonces no hay una cafetería. El té de mi amigo y yo probamos era precioso. Real hojas de té en cada sabor. Yo también tenía un bollo de frutas con mermelada de fresa y crema de leche. Todos ellos vienen en mi propia tarros pequeños y personales el bollo era tan fresco y rico de sabor. Fuimos con la familia y había una mesa pequeña para los niños de color y tronas si es necesario. El precio parecía no está mal si su poco caro tal vez tratando de presupuesto, pero por la calidad que están recibiendo el precio perfecto. Volvería againfir té de la tarde.

El exterior de sras Daisy no hacen justicia a este. Es una auténtica habitación dulce té vintage con todo casero productos catering para todo tipo de dieta. Estábamos pasando por y decidimos ir para un aperitivo, no quieren que el pescado y patatas fritas. Nos sentamos en la mesa de la ventana tenía huellas de las cartas de amor escritas por gente famosa, que era un toque agradable. Estaba lleno y nos dijeron que no era normal para un domingo y que el servicio será lenta. Es casi como retroceder en el tiempo con tazas china y tetera. Hay una gran variedad de tés. Me dieron el té del desayuno, que era preciosa. Aunque el menú de almuerzo declaró que era hasta las dos de la tarde y fue después de esto cuando pregunté si la sopa estaba todavía disponible, y así era. Era delicioso. También probamos el pastel de nuez que era mucho, puede probar las nueces!!! Nos preguntaron si nos gustaría una taza de té, de nuevo otro buen detalle. En conjunto, un lugar realmente encantador para visitar.

Hay siempre una cálida bienvenida y una silla cómoda en este salón de té precioso.

visited here last wednesday morning.sat outside with our dog with weather being nice.greeted by a lovely lady and gentleman who took our order.we had the victoria sponge cake and coffee ,served on lovely vintage crockery and coffee in china cups and saucers.it was a lovely experience, the interior of the tea room was so lovely and welcoming as were the propieters.cake was delicious.

Llamamos a este salón de té como parecía agradable desde el exterior. No nos decepcionó cuando entramos. El establecimiento tenía un ambiente encantador y tranquilo. Bien establecido mesas y un hombre agradable que estaba tomando los pedidos y una señora que sirvió a la orden pedimos té para tres, es muy bonito y algo que no he visto por años, té, con eso me refiero a las hojas de té, en vez de maletas. De alguna manera parece hacer el sabor de té té en su mejor su taza a través de un tamiz. El té se sirve en pequeñas tazas de porcelana, que de nuevo es un cambio agradable de los típicos tazas estándar. Un buen detalle fue que cada persona fue servido con una galleta seca y quebradiza. El menú era el tipo de menú que usted esperaría de un salón de té, sándwiches, pastas, bollos, pasteles, etc., lo que té podría conseguir desde un café estándar, pero la diferencia es que era agradable sentarse en un establecimiento que no olía como una cuchara grasienta. Escuchar música fácil estaba jugando en el fondo en un buen nivel audible, no hay necesidad de gritar. El salón de té estaba muy limpio y bien decorado. Como un usuario de silla de ruedas, habría encontrado difícil acceso si el salón de té había sido muy concurrida, pero estoy seguro de que esto podría haber sido abordado. No estoy seguro en comparaciones de precios, ya que no hemos estado en muchos salones de té. Un amigo y yo visitamos recientemente con nuestros cuatro años. Los niños realmente disfrutamos de ordenar su propio té de la tarde y nos dieron una tetera llena de su bebida preferido. Que elegir mermelada y sandwiches de jamón, queso y bollos bizcocho de chocolate! El pastel era absolutamente precioso y la comida en general es excelente. Los propietarios son muy atentos y amables. Es un elegante té de estilo vintage. Recomiendo encarecidamente este salón de té.

This is a lovely vintage tearoom with a wonderful friendly atmosphere. A great selection of teas served in China cups and teapots! The cakes and biscuits are divine! Also have craft items on sale was well as teas and jams and pickles. Wonderful!

Visitamos aquí después fue recomendar a nosotros, tengo que decir que era una delicia, con la gente más amable que, la comida era extraordinaria, sopa del día era una sopa de coliflor y queso era como cualquier sopa que he probado, delicioso. Yo diría que la señalización fuera por encima de la tienda debe ser clasificada como si no nos dijeron que no teníamos y sin duda no quiere perderse esta maravillosa experiencia.

Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y mesas pasaron rápidamente para nuestro grupo de 6 personas y carrito con niños para dormir. La orden fue tomado eficientemente y con buen humor, cuando la exigente adolescente hizo su pedido de comida. La comida es a un precio razonable y muy bien descrito.

Todo es muy bonito, la comida está presentada en vajilla disfrutaban pintoresca y me encantó mi taza de té de Yorkshire, (3 tazas de mi pequeño crisol) aunque hay muchas especialidades de té. Tuvimos una selección de sandwiches, scones 2 (queso y fruta) y una generosa porción de tarta. Una selección de mermeladas mermelada incluyendo una salsa para el bollo de queso traían a la mesa junto con pequeñas ollas generosas de mantequilla y nata. No podría encargarse de la tarta, así que fue envuelto para llevar a casa. Mi consejo es reservar con antelación. Volveremos a visitar muy pronto.

Llamamos en la sala de té de Daisy Mae por primera vez esta mañana y nos saludó amable y servicial. Muy impresionados con muebles y todo era precioso. Disfrutamos de una taza de té en China taza y al platillo y por supuesto magnífica teteras. Sin duda que volveré.

Absolutely fabulous. A lovely welcome. An amazing choice of teas. I stuck to my own favourite - Yorkshire! A wide range of home baked delicious food. All beautifully presented on 'proper ' cups and saucers. Loved it! I will be spreading the word.

Llamado en no mucho tiempo antes de la hora de cierre de una tarde e inmediatamente nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos en este fresco, limpio, y cómodo salón de té. Es espaciosa y acogedora y algunas de las mesas tienen características muy interesantes. Ir y ver por usted mismo!

We visit here on a regular basis and are greeted with a friendly face and great tea! They do nice food and cater for private parties too which we have done on occasion. A credit to the town.

Daisy-Mae's Vintage Tea Room is excellent. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. They offer a wide variety of tea amongst other things. I've visited on several occasions and always found it to be excellent.

Picotazo anteriormente hoy aquí para tomar té y un almuerzo ligero, por desgracia siendo el último día que estaban abiertas antes de Navidad el menú era un poco de luz pero el dueño volcó para nosotros.

Este lugar fue recomendado por mi mujer, que habían ido a Daisy- Mae antes y fue un lugar agradable.

Offers something different. It is genteel and quirky. Real tea served in China cups and saucers on interesting tableware. The owners are friendly and enthusiastic and offer a range of good home cooking.
