The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in North East

We stumbled across Fantoosh whilst walking from Spittal beach to Berwick on a cold February day. It was warm, welcoming and beautifully decorated and furnished. It made you feel warm and cozy straight away. The food and coffee were excellent. The soup of the day was a tasty tomato and red pepper with a cheese scone fresh from the oven. We also had a goat’s cheese salad and the dish voted best looking - a Mediterranean messe with pitta and hummus and olives. Delicious. Service was friendly, efficient but not in yer face. All in all a great find and recommended if in Berwick. Stumble across it like we did or search it out.

Delightful place. Friendly service and delicious cake. Loose leaf tea made in a teapot with delicate cups and saucers. Relaxing and special.

Wow what a place. Very well priced food and very good portion size and value for money. Been here loads for breakfast so decided to try lunch menu. Fish and Chips Steak and Ale Pie Baguette All of us loved our lunch and everything was spot on. Going to try the Parmo next time.

Wanted a Sunday dinner delivered but it came cold and with extra turnip which I specifically said no turnip

First time here since the move from Ilfracombe and sadly not as enjoyable . Very disjointed the food came out at different times and wasn’t very hot . Just very different atmosphere . Won’t be back in a hurry we will maybe leave it to see if things improve in a few months

Tolles klassisches Landhotel mit extrem gutem Essen! Es gibt auch eine gute Bar. Das Personal ist sehr engagiert. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Comí aquí dos veces en mi reciente visita a Newcastle y me impresionó en ambas ocasiones. El personal es genial y el servicio eficiente. La comida está bien preparada y disfruté de ambas cenas (pescado en ambas ocasiones). El ambiente en general es acogedor y atractivo.

Food was lovely,you get quite a bit of food and staff members were very nice and polite,would recommend going for Sunday lunch.

Lovely little pub. My favourite pub on the green. Nice craft ales and the owners are down to earth and approachable.

We arrived due to our mix up with times but bless them they served us hot food because we were very cold and wet . They didn’t have to do this as it was getting close to closing . We can’t thank them enough . Food lovely, service first class . We will definitely go again when in the area .

As my girlfrend and I walked in we were a bit surprised that the lady didn’t look up / acknowledge us or say hello or even ‘please wait I’ll be with you shortly’ etc. I thought she must be busy so didn’t think too much of it. We waited a few minutes until the people in front of us got their order and left. By this point we were at the front of the counter and another lady worker walked in, again, didn’t say hello or acknowledge us. We both thought this was very weird and quite rude. Not even acknowledging our presence never mind saying anything. We waited another few minutes. I was trying to make eye contact with the ladies as if saying “helloooo we are here we exist!” but they didn’t even look up from what they were doing and when they did they looked past us. After 5 minutes we both thought that if the staff can’t even be at the least courteous what’s the rest of the establishment going to be like. We walked out and went to the next coffee shop and got immediately sorted there.

Great little spot, lovely scones, nice staff and pleasant surroundings. Lovely breakfast and lunch menu and reasonable prices.

Advice to anyone with a dog expecting to visit and use conservatory. Ring first to see if you can get in as not automatic. Told today there were people already in the conservatory and one of them didn't like dogs so we were turned away.

We came to the table while sitting outside. We are a family off four. We had ordered hot drinks from the other Bar. Which l was unaware off as it was really busy. My Mam had kept the Table as l began to sit down The gentleman came out very arrogant and Rude and stated please move you can’t sit her as it’s for paying customers only. There is a way of speaking to people.

A group of 12 cyclists stopped for lunch and the service and hospitality was exemplary. They managed to cater for all our orders so that we were served and ate at the same time. Excellent value for money.
