We came here for brunch after a bracing seaside walk. The food was delicious as was the coffee. The staff were really accommodating of my fussy eating. Would definitely recommend and return.

Called on for Sunday Lunch on 20/10 - absolutely fabulous. Roast beef was cooked to perfection, as were the vegetables. Staff were great and all finished off with lovely cup of Tynemouth Coffee Co coffee afterwards. Would easily recommend a visit - you won’t be disappointed.

Had a gluten free Sunday dinner which was incredible! Gluten free Yorkshire pudding and gravy. One of the best Sunday dinners I’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a gluten free Sunday dinner in the area. Coeliac friendly!

Been dying to visit Meet me on the corner so squeezed in a quick visit today. What a wonderful little place, tucked nicely out of the madness of the crowds serving the most delicious food all freshly made. Including dairy free warm Brownie and ice cream for my allergy child! Would highly recommend can't wait to go back.

We went there as a large group to celebrate a birthday on a Sunday. We're two coeliacs, a few vegetarians and various other permutations. The food was delicious and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. What a treat!

I have enjoyed visits to Meet Me on the Corner (named after the famous Lindisfarne song of course) quite a few times for my breakfast, but this weekend I booked a table (strongly recommended) for Sunday dinner. I have to say right now that the owners chose the wrong song to name their restaurant after, as it should have been named after the Tina Turner song “Simply the Best”. Our Sunday dinners were absolutely delightful. Without doubt they were “Simply the best". I chose the beef Sunday dinner while my partner, who is Gluten free, chose the Chicken Sunday dinner. The beef I had was served in the shape of a circular joint and was succulent and very tender. It sat on a bed of mash which was incredibly tasty (albeit I have no idea what was put into it to make it soo tasty), along with fresh carrots, swede, green beans, roast potatoes, sweet cabbage, Yorkshire pud and a rich wine tasting gravy. WOW…does not do it justice at all. My partner thoroughly enjoyed her chicken Sunday dinner too and we both agreed it was simply the best we had ever had and as Tina would sing, "better than all the rest". Well done to the owner/chef/staff for such extremely tasty and well priced food and for running such a fabulous restaurant. PS I had previously been quite a few times for my breakfast and have had the poached eggs and smashed avocado on toasted sourdough bread with feta and a drizzle of tomato and olive oil and small black pitted olives. That too is fabulous and I can strongly recommend that too.

Food here is absolutely phenomenal. Excellent quality and flavours and they are so good at catering for gluten free. We had the most delicious gf Sunday lunch with sides too. Definitely worth a visit!

We went for the smile trail and found this cafe, I had never heard of it so we tried it. You are supposed to book but we were lucky and got a table. We went for a matcha smoothie and hot chocolate and a fish finger sani. It was really good and very fillng. The staff are all really friendly and it is beautifully decorated. We did wait a while for our food but its due to it being busy and as the food is freshly prepared.

I visited this lovely corner cafe yesterday with my daughter and granddaughter for afternoon tea. What a treat. We were greeted by lovely staff which were accommodating and pleasant. The afternoon tea was presented lovingly and food itself was delicious , i personally enjoyed the sausage roll the best, my granddaughter enjoyed the fruit scone the best. Amazing value. Well done MEET ME ON THE CORNER staff. I will definitely be visiting again.

Lunch with daughter. Lindisfarne burger and chips to die for. Very generous portion and tastiest chips I have had in ages. Excellent value, will go again. Small point though, not made clear when you go in that you have to go to bar to order, and same to pay on leaving. Will know next time.

Staff weren’t very friendly or helpful when I asked about the details of a couple of dishes. I think we waited for about 45 mins for our food and when it arrived it was dry and to be honest I could have cooked better at home, was expecting more as it has good reviews but I definitely wouldn’t return for the cost. I like good quality meat and it tasted like cheap meat, wouldn’t recommended.

Super disappointed in our late lunch today. Myself and my partner ordered the turkey and stuffing sandwiches at £11.50 each then chips with them at £3.50 each and the fish goujons, chips and peas for our little one. The food came really quickly and everything looked good. We waited around 10 mins for the chips for one of the meals after prompting we were still awaiting them coming. They arrived with a bowl of stuffing and a member of staff saying they forgot to put the stuffing in the sandwich, my partner asked about this and we received a laugh and he walked away. Although minor we had already eaten half of them at this point and the reaction rather than apology really stunned us. We did say something to the owner who asked us how our meals were and she offered us some bakes to take home as an apology which we declined. Spending £23 on them we'd hoped for an offer of a refund or at least partial refund really. Our little ones meal, the chips which eventually came and the coffees were lovely but handling of the mistake left us feeling very disappointed on a rare day together as a family.

We came here for Sunday lunch with our daughter and brothers family. Wow! We had clean plates as the food was delicious. The featherblade of beef was unbelievable, proper home made Yorkshire puddings and if I let him, my husband would have licked his dessert bowl clean (he got the warm salted caramel brownie with ice cream). Wasn't expecting this type of quality from a small intimate venue. The staff were so lovely too and we're all happy and friendly. Good choice of music, loved dining to a bit of Maribou state. Can't wait to return
