Lovely little war time themed cafe. Fantastic atmosphere and great staff. Food is delicious, everything freshly made. Would highly recommend, especially for history buffs. Second time this week for us. I’d suggest you get there early as they sell out fast on most items.

Visited today for the first time and the last. Had an amazing experience of afternoon tea in a middlesbrough establishment (The teahouse)) a few weeks ago and really wish we'd returned to it. Remember me tearooms used processed cheese slices and processed ham in their sandwiches . The scones were full of artificial squirty cream, no fresh or clotted cream in sight. Cake selection was limited considering we went early afternoon. The choice was a cup cake with your preferred chocolate stuck on the top or a slice of one other cake. Although we had booked we had to stand in the doorway for 10 minutes waiting for the previous guests to move from the table we were to be seated at. Granted we were 10 minutes early but actually having to hover over someone while they finish left a lot to be desired and in the doorway when social distancing is still in place.. Surely enough of a gap should be left between guests to prevent this from happening and to allow a clean down not a quick wipe. Embarrassing too when the assistant points at the table and says they'll be finished soon. Very poor will not return instead I'll stick with what I know.

Sadly Stockton-on-Tees is not the nice place it used to be - empty shops / shops selling cheap tat : charity shops. However this little cafe is a hidden gem. I love the atmosphere- old time music playing and vintage paraphernalia on the walls. I just had a scone and a coffee. I’d love to return for afternoon tea!

What a lovely time we had here. My step daughter (11) and I enjoyed afternoon tea for two at a very low price of £16! We had a choice of sandwiches, scones and cupcakes plus crisps and salad. It was all brought out beautifully and they even had beauty and the beast teapot and cups! She loved it and so did I. Food was lovely. We would definitely come again! We did struggle to eat it all - there was so much! No pre-booking is necessary which is great. Very friendly service. 5 stars.

We enjoyed afternoon tea consisting of a round of sandwiches, scone and cake in lovely vintage decorated cafe with World War 2 memorabilia. The sandwiches were perfect, I had tuna and red onion and my husband had ham with whole grain mustard. Lovely sandwiches followed by very large fruit scones jam and cream. They were so large that we had to cut them into quarters to pick them up. Then we had individual decorated carrot cake muffins which were delicious.

Lovely afternoon tea. And the ladies were helpful. I chose egg sarnies but you can choose from a variety. The bread was lovely and soft. Scones were a choice of cheese or fresh cream with jam and We had a variety of homemade cakes. Was homely a bit like been at your nans house. With free flowing tea. Cozy and quaint.

I have no clue how this establishment has had any good reviews. The staff are the rudest most ignorant staff I have ever seen if they get paid for ignoring customers and being rude they must all be millionaires. The food is very poor curled up sandwiches and poor quality tea. Then looking round we felt ill the place was filthy looks like it hasn't been properly cleaned in months. First Visit- Last Visit What a Complete Let Down.

Although this is a lovely little cafe in stockton was rather disappointed with the food, cheese onion toastie more onion than cheese, salad was only ok, think the coleslaw was bought in, cheap and nasty. STAFF.. They need to learn to smile and maybe have a cause in customer service everything seems as if it's far to much work for them even to smile was hard pushed! The manager is friendly enough just a shame her staff let her down!

We have visited this tea room a couple of times previously so didn't hesitate to go back. However, not sure if it has changed hands or not but the standards have changed. Quite frankly it looked grubby and the tables and floor need a good scrub and polish. There are pieces of wipe clean table runners on each table that have seen better days and were stained and discoloured. I had a jacket potato with tuna which came with salad and coleslaw garnish. It was served on a tea plate not much bigger than a saucer so as soon as you cut into the food it was falling off the plate and either into the table or floor. Why try and serve food on such a tiny plate? Fine if you're just having a small sandwich but not much else. The tea was nice and hot and the food itself was good but they need to have a good deep clean before we'd venture back again.

Called and booked in advance, when we turned up we were shown to our table which was full of Harry Potter themed goodies! The food and drink was absolutely delicious - mini butterbeers were lovely, as was the tea. The scones were fresh, light and buttery. Sandwiches were tasty too. The highlight for me were the mandrakes; they came in little pots and the mint chocolate sponge with chocolate soil topping was delicious. And the mandrake was edible (a kind of sweet mint). It worked out as £12 each for 3 of us, worth every penny - we were so stuffed we couldn't finish everything. Staff were lovely and friendly too. Can't wait to come back here again.

We had a range of food- soup (nice but quite small) jacket potatoes (had to ask for mayo as not much filling in the tuna one) toastes (ok) afternoon tea (lovely cake and scones but sandwiches were quite bland, not great fillings or bread). All in all it was mainly the indifference of the staff member that dealt with us that was the real downside really. Upside was the lemon meringue cake and fruit scones

We visited here with our children, ordered two bacon sarnies, two coffees, juice drink and cupcake for our daughter and toast for our son. I was really looking forward to a bacon sarnie after a busy morning, only to be left with a terrible taste, what arrived in two slices of thick white bread was lukewarm streaky bacon, it was as though it was precooked and reheated. Not at all nice, my husband ate his and most of mine because one bite was enough for me, while I appreciate this cafe is set with war time decor we are not rationed at present and what it cost for that little lot is probably close to a weekly wage back during war times! I'll not be rushing back

We booked ahead for a Wednesday afternoon for the Harry Potter tea. Had a great time, with Dobbie, Scabbers and Hedwig in attendance! We had butterbeer to start whilst we pondered which sandwiches and scones to have - I was impressed with the choice of different types of scones and I think we tried out almost the full range between us! There's a good range of teas available too. In addition to the drinks, sandwiches and scones, we had cupcakes with mandrakes, wands (choc covered breadsticks) and snitches (a cunning adaptation of Ferrero Rocher!). We were defeated halfway through the scones but fear not, the lovely staff will bag any leftovers for you so you can go home and finally do justice to their quirky inventions! A wonderful way to celebrate my daughter's birthday, we were amused and impressed by the originality of the food. The staff are all lovely and helpful and the tearoom itself is a warm and welcoming place, taking you back in time to the 1940s with music to match. Can't fault the visit!

Remember Me offers a fantastic afternoon tea and, at just £7.50 per person, it's a total bargain. You get to choose a sandwich from about five options, all available with white or brown bread. I had cheese and red onion chutney on brown but perhaps would have liked the chutney to have a little more punch. You then get to choose either a cheese scone or a fruit scone with jam and cream and there a number of other flavoured scones to choose from too. The fruit scones we had were a gorgeous texture and tasted perfect. To top it off you choose a slice of cake or a cupcake. The cupcakes are plain but tasty and I opted for one topped with a bit of wagon wheel on top while my friend had oreo. All topped off with a shared pot of tea this was a lovely and very filling treat, enjoyed in a beautiful venue with great service. There are so many combinations of cakes and sandwiches available that every afternoon tea becomes unique and I will definitely be hoping to try as many as I can.

The Remember Me tea rooms have a World War Two theme. We won, you'll be pleased to learn. The menus are replicas of ration cards, and there are old newspapers decorating the walls. No Spam or Snoek on the menu though. Afternoon tea is offered at a very low price of £7.50. This includes a full sandwich, side salad and crisps, a delicious scone with cream and jam that is the equal of that at Wynyard Hall and a slice of cake. Mum and I went for lunch today. We ordered tea and 2 jacket potatoes (one with tuna and one with cheese savoury). The potatoes were microwaved and very dry and hard. No butter was served. The tuna was very sweet (it was made with salad cream) and the cheese savoury was cheap sour coleslaw with cheese in it. We couldn't eat it. The jackets came with a very small side salad. The place looks like it needs a good clean. One of the tea cups were chipped (chipped pots shouldn't be used due to hygiene). The only good thing I can say is that we got a refund for the food and the owner came over and asked us what was wrong and apologised.

Remember tea rooms ha ha more like forget me forever pretty much like they do with there customers. We went here after reading the reviews all I can say is the owner must have a big family as it could only be family that could say nice things about this cafe like the relatives of an X Factor contestant who they say can sing but really cannot. Staff could learn how to smile and remeber it's the customer who keeps them employed. As for the food if the cakes as we were told are baked fresh daily then all I can say is invest in new recipes or a decent oven as the cakes we had were that dry it was beyond belief. As for the sandwiches two triangles and miniscule filling would have left my two year old hungry. So all in all a poor experience and left with our wallets lighter and our stomachs more hungry. Never again I've forgot this Cafe already.

Hi Tripadvisor readers,My wife & I have just returned to Stockton (where we were both born) after being away for 15 years. We were looking for a lovely tea room to use weekly & we have definetly found a very good one! Really friendly and professional owner and staff, who made us feel very welcome indeed. The cakes being served around us looked delicious, so we are going to try those next. We had Tea and coffee (a very nice strong Americano for me). They do serve and sell speciality teas apparently (there was a nice dresser unit with them all on display) and my wife aims to try one on our next visit. The location is great, nestled in Finkle Street, just off Stockton High Street. The room is a nice size, not too large, not too small and the tables are apart enough so you are not on top of each other, but also close enough to create a lovely atmosphere. I do believe they are opening up another tea room right next door with freshly baked scones etc, and we will be trying that out after Christmas.Really nicely decorated, very clean and the owner and staff were excellent, beating (in our opinion) other much more expensive places on Norton High Street for quality of staff, food, tea/coffee etc. (We live on Norton High Street). My wife has already suggested that it would be great to use this tea room for 'get togethers' for her work friends from her school. This is exactly how a business should be run in our opinion. After living in different areas of the UK and France over the last 15 years, it really is nice to see a local family running a business as it should be run, something that appears very hard to find these days.Good luck and keep doing exactly what you are doing.kind regards,Nick and Wendy Williams.

I happened across this quaint venue on a particularly miserable day when I was in Stockton on business. I had an hour or so to kill and wanted to find somewhere out of the rain and away from the hustle and bustle of the town when I found this place just off the main high street. I was met immediately with a warm welcome from one of the waitresses, who thoughtfully put me next to a table with a plug when she saw that I was carrying a laptop. The nostalgic atmosphere struck me right away as they had old wartime music playing in the background, and the room was decorated with quirky vintage items and unique teacups. I'd actually gone in to have a cup of coffee, but found myself like a kid in a sweet shop when I saw the vast types of tea they had, and couldn't resist trying one of their unusual flavours. I ventured for a pot of the "caramelised pear" which was equally the strangest and also nicest tea I've ever tried! It went down surprisingly well with a slice of home made Victoria sponge and a scone (which were both delicious). I could have easily spent all afternoon there trying different tea, but reluctantly had to rush off to another meeting. I'll definitely call back when I'm in Stockton again!

I have just used this company to cater for my daughter's christening. Nothing was too much trouble. We had sandwiches, cupcakes and fresh cream scones. They were able to provide food for people with allergies which was much appreciated. Everyone commented on how delicious everything was and the lemon drizzle and mint areo cakes were mentioned several times. I would definitely recommend Claire and her team. If I have an event to cater for again, I know who to call on.

We recently went to remember me tea rooms for my friends baby shower. I would never go again. 25 of us went I felt like I wasn't included as I and my friend had to sit on a tiny table on our own in the corner. The staff never smiled. You couldn't move in the room and the fact we had to pay £10pp when they advertise it as 2 X £10 is disgraceful

About 25 of us booked the small room for a baby shower, the room was cramped the tables were nice looking with old little plates and teacups cake stands etc, as there was enough room two of our friends were put on a little round table in the corner which looked as though the weren't with us the could mix in with the rest, the mum to be was at the end near the door which was open, while we were eating the waitress kept carrying things out the door so mum to be who was 8 months pregnant had to keep moving to let her in and out, we were given one cup of tea coffee or soft drink then we had two triangles of cheese and hsm sandwiches which were dried up , there was scones and cakes which were nice but only worked out for about one and a quarter each service was not even good never seen such miserable staff well at £10 per person it certainly was not worth it

Everything about these tea rooms is spot on. There are two either side of the alley way leading to Green Dragon yard. And just as well as the first one was full but we were seated nicely in the second part of the restaurant. My daughter and her friend had the cream tea, two for £10 was fantastic value for money. Lovely freshly made sandwiches, crisps and side salad and their choice of two cakes plus a pot of tea. They couldn't eat it all and were given a box to take the leftovers home. I had jacket potato with tuna and side salad with coleslaw along with a strawberry milkshake and it was delicious. Staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. Service with a smile! Would recommend to anyone and we will return. Thank you .

We visited the tea rooms on a very hot Saturday afternoon, we had a large table booked & the girls were lovely & accommodating. The prices here are so good too, afternoon tea for just £5.50 or two for £10.00 which includes a sandwich of your choice, a scone & choice of cake as well as a pot of tea. Other members of the family got toasties which also looked fresh & tasty. The children enjoyed their little meals too! We will certainly go back in the future.

Love this place. The interior is designed like you're back in war times, and they have a great selection of food and drinks. I often go in with my sister and their afternoon tea costs £10 for 2 - with this you get sandwiches, a scone, a cake and a pot of tea, all of which are beautiful. Would definitely recommend it. Great value for money.

Trip into town with mum & dad while back visiting family, and mum had noticed this newish tea room being advertised in local paper so decided to pop in, was late afternoon so not a great many cakes left but had a chai latte and lovely cheese scone, while parents shared a large pot of tea and had a toasted tea cake and a cherry scone both very nice and good value for money. Nice post war decor and friendly tea ladies

Fancying afternoon tea one random weekday afternoon I did a quick google search followed by review search on here and settled on Remember Me. All I can say is you MUST visit. The value for money is unreal, the sandwiches, came and scone beautiful and quite frankly I defy anyone to eat it all and not have to take their cake home!!The place us quaint inside with lots of quirky things especially an old till, an old phone and a Dobby! If certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice inexpensive treat. Well done Remember Me Tea Rooms!

We visited whilst in Stockton for a vintage fair, the decor is fab & I particularly liked the cash register on the counter! We managed to find a table & placed our order at the counter. We had the Caramac cake & Lemon Meringue cake, both were delicious, light & fluffy, washed down with a pot of tea. The staff were friendly & service was prompt. I did think the menu could have had more of a vintage feel, and a waitress taking your order instead of queuing at the counter would have been better than squeezing in & out of the tables. Loose leaf tea rather than teabags would be another suggestion..! This is a nice enough cafe that has jumped on the 'Vintage' bandwagon.

I recently visited the sister tearoom which is next door for a get together with colleagues. We received excellent customer service. and the food available is superb value for money. What is great is the fact the tearoom does not offer any fried food it is a proper tearoom.

I really do like this place, it's has a cute interior and the old unmatched tea-sets are a nice touch. Our only issue with this place is the sandwiches, whilst the sandwiches themselves are OK, they could do with giving you a little more. It would be nice if they gave a full sandwich per person with the afternoon tea, rather than one sandwich cut into 4 with 2 pieces for each - but this is really a minor problem with what is otherwise a nice, inexpensive place for a spot of afternoon tea.
