Food was OK but expensive and staff seemed fed up. I didn't realise I'd been charged 10% gratuity until I checked my receipt later. I really wasn't happy about this as I didn't feel as though the staff did anything to warrant such a tip. The owners should be paying them a decent wage rather than expecting pensioners ( like myself) and other members of the public to supplement the shortfall, especially when they were miserable.

Nice Sunday treat for lunch luckily we booked as this place gets busy Warm friendly welcome and even remembered by the warm and friendly owner We ordered the overnight cooked Lamb Sunday lunch and my daughter had the beef brisket The food was very tasty with great accomplishments, which included layered and boiled potatoes and then a separate bowl of Vedg including broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and green beans all cooked to perfection and covered in a generous helping of gravy Then we ordered desert Baclava, sticky toffee pudding and the best apple crumble I have ever tasted covered in a generous portion of vanilla custard The service throughout was great and the owner also checked with us to make sure the food was good

Chadwicks today for a Breakfast. And it was beautiful. It’s just different from everyone else’s breakfast. Square Sausage, 2 top notch fried eggs, black pudding, 2 rashers of bacon, mushroom, grilled Tomato, baked beans just different from normal, a tangy chutney and posh toast. Absolutely beautiful. And then something completely different from what you are normally offered as a dessert. Baklava and Vanilla Ice cream. Honestly I’ve never tasted Baklava like it before. Normally you get loads of pastry here it’s all filling and a small amount of pastry. Just stunning. Thanks very much Chadwicks.

Visited Chadwicks again, sadly it was a complete shambles and exceptionally disappointing. Food was decent but not the usual standard. The biggest issue was with the service, or complete lack of it. The lady with dark hair, in her early 60s is a living battleaxe and appeared to be chewing a number of wasps. Sadly her general unpleasant attitude really soured the visit. Won't be visiting again

Valentines day lunch. Confusion reigned when we arrived, we had booked but there was no indication from staff where we should sit and we were not asked who we were. We just picked a free table and from then on the staff were fine and attentive. It can be a noisy place with quite an echo if children are present! The food choice is limited to a Greek menu and I had the Beef kofta in tomato sauce with hummus, tzatziki, salad and flatbread. It was extremely tasty and well presented. The view from the restaurant can be very green due to the surrounding trees and the sedum roof.

Quite simply the worst service we have ever had. We were pointed to a table and told "over there". Five mins later the lady who appeared to be in charge left her book on our table with no explanation. Five mins later she came and said "right what do you want". We actually felt like walking out.

Lovely place for a lunch treat, forgot how good this place is Menu loosely based on Greek / Mediterranean with a good mixture of dishes including meat, fish and vegetarian I started with the tomato soup which I would say the best I have ever tasted followed with Fish kebabs which included Tuna, Monkfish and Prawns My good lad had the Spanakopita pie with spinach and feta Desert lemon meringue tart and apple crumble with vanilla custard The meal and service absolutely faultless

This is not just a cafe or coffee house in a furniture store, this is gourmet food. We have enjoyed Sunday lunch here for the last two weeks, which has been fabulous. The only difference in the two visits is we seemed to have more beef along with Gratin which was missing on the first visit. There are many gourmet pubs and restaurants in the area which could learn from this standard although at £17.50 a head for the beef alone, not the cheapest. With a drink, a gorgeous pudding and Service compris you are into £30/head. Situated on its own top floor in an expansive open store makes it a very pleasant environment. And you can bring your dog! Civilised.

Great location in furniture store in busy retail park. Two flights of stairs but there is a lift to the rear of the store. Reasonable menu but pricy and service is slow so you need that second cup of coffee at brunch. Food quality is pretty decent with the options chosen being poached eggs on taast with the eggs being pretty solid and the toast burnt. The second dish was the american pancake which was plentiful and was well received. Ther third dish was the pricier salmon and scrambled eggs which was by far the best meal. Overall 50£ for a brunch for three is at the top end and should be perfect in all areasMenu is certainly not bland but the service should be better - at these prices there should not be a standard service charge applied which is a constant sore in the trade especially if the service is not that good and does not come with at least a smile - would recommend the operators look at this area and make tipping optional as it should be. Overall, good experience would go back but would be looking for better service

Visited the new Metro centre one today. Card payments only, no diet drinks. No option of different bread on the fish fingers sarnies. The menu is too fancy and poor. Looks like it's been printed on a broken photocopier. The bill came with 10% gratuity added on. They said it was standard and on the menu. No thanks, I'm not paying it. The food is too expensive to have 10% stuck on top. Won't be returning. Better food and value in KFC.

Our visit to Chadwick cafe in barker and stone house on Saturday morning for breakfast left us 45 pound down in the bank account for a less than average meal.after being seated we proceeded to order a English breakfast which included a basic serving of undercooked egg and overall a tasteless cold meal which looked like it had been made much before we ordered,I was then presented with the American pancakes which I ordered, these pancakes where totally not what I expected this meal included ONE burnt pancake and topped with a hand full of frozen cold strawberry’s,this highly disappointed me as I was expecting our visit to be the same as our previous visit which was for lunch which we had been satisfied with unlike this time.overall this visit to Chadwick was a disappointment and mood changer as the meals were priced at 13 pound for a English breakfast which was left and following the other meals which were hardly touched at all.after this experience it has enlightened us all that we will never return and will never recommend Chadwicks to anyone.

We went for brunch. We were seated quickly and the waitress was prompt and attentive. We both ordered the full English breakfast from the morning menu. It was hands down the best full English I've ever had. All the items were perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. It had a side of thickly sliced bread which I think was sourdough. The coffee was also tasty and it was nice to be able to get decaff in any type of coffee. I'd highly recommend this place.

Usually love this place! However the last time we visited it seems it has really gone down hill. Credit to Helen as she was amazing however the rest of the staff had 0 social skills, and the service was just not up to standard. The food was average, said they will be changing the menu the following week it seems they should be changing the staff too! All in all won’t be returning which is very disappointing! Lee the bar man, claimed he had been in the industry years however he was rude, clueless and the look of his age definetly didn’t match the class of his social skills.

Called for lunch with my daughter Staff very friendly and service quite quick , had brisket for lunch which was lovely and accompanying vegetables, didn’t want desert so asked for bill. The reason I have given 3 star was not the food or service but the mark up on a very small bottle of Diet Coke … now I know there is always a mark up on drinks it’s how businesses make profit but £3.25 for a small bottle of Diet Coke which would retail for £3.50 for 4 in Tesco . Nothing more I can say but £6.50 for 2 bottles is well over priced

Great atmosphere. I love their lime and coconut cake though it needs to be a-bit more tangy. I got the new Zealand coffee which was beautiful. And the cheese grill toasty with Persian carrot Jam. One constructive criticise for the chef. Im Persian and that wasn’t our carrot Jam. No where in Iran ever provides carrot jam as a puree. I would suggest find the recipe online. I have given 4 star for the fact that the Jam wasn’t true. Thank you and will be back again <3

Fab lunch upstairs at Chadwick's today, kofte meatballs and Persian prawn curry for mains. Generous portions, subtle flavours and those little extra accompaniments that show that there is a proper chef in the kitchen that actually cares about the food. Visited this hidden gem after finding it through searching places to eat near me on google. We were staying at white water caravan site and wanted somewhere to go for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised by the choice and quality of the food, especially given the size of this place and the fact it’s tucked away on a mezzanine floor in barker and stonehouse. Between us we had a beef Sunday lunch, child’s portion of chicken Sunday lunch and a king prawn curry bowl. All were delicious, beautifully presented and generous portions. Despite being satisfied we were too tempted not to have a desert so went for the apple, rhubarb and almond crumble and custard, and were so glad we did! Delicious food, friendly and informed staff, absolutely worth a visit. Also worth noting there are high chairs and changing facilities 👍🏻

Very impressed with this delightful Greek restaurant hidden away in the rafters of Barker and Stonehouse Teeside. Delicious food - I ate the feta and spinach filo pie and baklava. We also ordered chicken schnitzel. Both dishes arrived with tasty fries which were obviously hand cut and tossed in salt and herbs - lovely! The venue really is quite lovely, head to the top floor of Barker and Stonehouse then follow the stairs up to the restaurant. It’s airy and cool and also has a rooftop dining area. Loved it! Staff are pleasant and polite too.

White House Black Market is a women's clothing that sells tees, blouses, jeans, work pants, dresses, stockings, belts, hats, jewelry, and more. This WHBM location had a nice selection of full priced items, clearance items, and final sale items. Diamond assisted us in getting us fitting rooms, removing unwanted items from our dressing rooms, getting other sizes for items that didn't fit, and fixing an item I was interested in that had a loose thread. I ended buying a Surplice Sheath Dress, Drop Shoulder Tunic, and Wide Scoop Neck L/S shirt.
