The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in North East Derbyshire East Midlands

We have had a lovely afternoon having afternoon tea and bubbles. Our Friends have stated that it was the best afternoon tea they have ever had. (They are seasoned afternoon tea specialists) so it is high praise. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food was amazing. Will be going back!!

Ordered a pie to take out and they charged me 40p to heat it up, the pie was ok but I've never ever been charged for warming any food before, the pie wasn't good enough to warrant the extra charge

Absolutely beautiful little place, the food was soo goood and the staff are amazing, so friendly and happy to have a conversation ☺️ and obviously the cats are super cute and friendly too! You can tell they're looked after ☺️

Don't even know where to begin... this happened on the night of the 26th of April I'm visiting Derby very often, usually with our little friend group. This is the first time ever where I had such a negative and disgusting experience in LGBTQ venue. From the very beginning, when we entered the bar and one your members of staff who was behind the bar, quite tall and wore glasses, dark short hair - have given us dirty looks, no smile, no hello, just miserable, clear as day we could all tell that looked quite dissatisfied, but not sure whether that was to do with us, or he just had a bad day or who knows what was on his mind. But because we are eastern europeans, we are usually not bothered by this because a lot of this is seen in our culture as normal. Okay, so the night continued and obviously we didn't put too much thought to this at the beginning and when we had been returning to bar after drinks, shots etc. Barman, did not change in his attitude towards us, so eventually this has become quite the standard for him to treat us and make us feel very unwelcome, we tried avoiding ordering with him but not always this was possible. Just few hours later, I got approached by a friend and he said that my partner of 9 years who I know very well, got kicked out of the bar? Like what? I was shocked and quickly collected my belongings, told it to our other friends that he got kicked out, and let's go out and see what is going on, why etc? I have never heard any more stupid explanation from the security guard about my partner (being rude, by not saying please) Can't express how disgusted I felt, because my man is a like labrador retriever, he never causes any trouble, to anyone, anywhere. And when he told us the situation( he ordered a drink with a lady behind the bar, and then the other barman had interfered and said in a rude voice and raised tone - MAYBE PLEASE? On which he responded that first of all I'm not talking to you, and secondly I said please. Then my partner took the drinks and joined us, when few moments later security guard approached him and escorted to the exit, and when he asked why, he told that you have to leave, you were rude) Obviously I had to come to conclusion that the barman had clearly hated on him or us from the very beginning when we entered the bar. Please, sort out this staff member, put him on some hospitality course and teach them how he should be treating people/customers who make business for the sake of yours. And maybe if you care for this situation at all - ask the girl who was serving him and whether he was rude and unreasonable to the point of being kicked out of the bar! & even if he wouldn't have said please at any point (which was not the case) is ridiculous reason to kick out somebody from the bar, knowing that he never caused any trouble and had group of friends with them which would leave with him, is showing some sort of hate towards us as a group and I have explained that we got this vibe from him at the very beginning. When we were all out, the barman and security guard have chit chatted and had a cigarette next to us, and the barman with glasses was just laughing at us, went to have a look at us being kicked out. Disgrace, I don't know whether the security guard and him just wanted to have fun and show some power and acted like little offended boys, but whatever it happened and we surely won't be returning until somebody from your establishment can reach out and apologise for the experience we've been through!

I had the Ultimate Southern Fried Chicken Burger and let me tell you, it slapped harder than my step dad and he hit hard, but that burger! Chef kiss!

La Vicaría Vieja Justo cuando te conectas a la entrada sabes que esto va a ser algo especial y no nos decepcionó. Tuvimos una muy buena bienvenida al entrar después de tocar la campana. Nos ofrecieron bebidas previas y nos ofrecieron la alternativa al venado en el menú de prestigio. Tenía el menú de prestigio vegetariano sin el vuelo de vino, ya que no bebo, pero tenía una botella de agua con gas que era un precio razonable. Mi marido tenía el menú de carne y pescado con vuelo de vinos. El vuelo vino con el sumiller explicando sobre el vino que era interesante y no se terminó con demasiada información. El servicio fue excepcional, y el comedor tenía pinturas de artistas locales que es el tema del restaurante que produce proviene principalmente de fuentes locales para el menú. La comida parecía y sabía excepcional. También tuvimos queso y galletas con quesos producidos localmente, las galletas y pastel de frutas producido por el restaurante. Mi marido tenía oporto con el queso y galletas que era una buena calidad. Ambos tuvimos café de filtro con chocolates individuales hechos a mano. Estos eran extra pero no tenían un precio excesivo. Ambos dijimos que volveríamos de nuevo debido a la comida y el servicio excepcional.

Los pasteles son increíbles. El personal es encantador y recomendaría a cualquiera para cualquier ocasión. Precio justo para una gran comida y nunca se irá con hambre.

Had beautiful cream tea .. amazing sandwiches and cakes. Very friendly staff. We eventually got there 3rd time lucky after illness and then snow! Well worth the wait. Trying the meals next cant wait. Thank you to all.

Nice and calm, not for long stays.

I'm sorry but I personally wouldn't go back again food average to say the least and expensive for what you get. Most of the staff are lovely but some need to get training to be Front of house otherwise it could put people off going again, sorry but true !!

There wasn't many customers and the external furniture was dirty

Carvery food needs be hot mash potato and roast not as good as last couple of weeks stuffing is taste not as nice it has changed

So sick of getting latte’s here that have so much foam on the top a quarter of your drink has gone before you even take a sip! When ordering a latte please FILL the cup with coffee!!! A latte should only have a covering of foam on the top - not cms of the stuff!! As a pensioner, when I pay £3.60 for a cup of coffee, I expect it to be a full cup - NOT nearly 1/4 of a cup of foam! Is this a way to try and cut costs and save on your milk bill?! If this were a pub you would be fined for short measures! Shame on you for short changing your customers, and a real shame as its a nice cafe in general but this has happened so many times in the last few months I am just fed up with being ripped off and will be going elsewhere from now on, where a cup of coffee means a FULL cup of coffee.

It saddens me to write this. Our first visit a few months ago filled us with enthusiasm for the place. We've seen a marked decline since then and yesterday capped it off. The staff were absolutely clueless. The coffee was dreadful and the service was terrible. The food was good but the place was dirty with tables uncleared and unwiped. The staff were ill-presented and had no idea of customer care. The 3 of them sat chatting seemingly unaware of what customers were up to. We left walking past them without any acknowledgement from them. We're done there......
