Can't comment on the rooms but the Sunday carvery is the best for miles it's a regular meet up of ours

Ordered a takeaway carvery for the first time today. The food was delicious. The portion sizes are massive and we like our sunday roasts. We had enough leftovers to make another 3 smaller lunches and meat to last us a few days of sandwiches. I did think the price was a bit high to start with, but for the quality and quantity you get its definatley worth it. We will be ordering again. 5 star plus

Called for tea one night with a friend and I must admit the food was absolutely amazing! Didn't have the carvery but it looked delicious. 10 /10 and compliments to the chef! Will certainly be visiting again soon.

Went for festive Xmas lunch, and it was absolutely beautiful. Never been before, so what a delightful surprise when we walked in. Staff were great, food and service tiptop. Will certainly be going back

Booked a group Xmas 3 course meal free drink £35 PH, with disco all paid for by end of October. Arrived on night with explanation that generator had blown up in the afternoon and they were in the process of mending the power. We could order drinks but not pay unless it was cash as the machine was broken then the lights went out and we couldn't pay by cash either. There was an announcement that they may order food in but until then a free bar. At 8.30 they announced that they would serve turkey cobs and roast potatoes. At 9pm ish they were served and with girls going round with boats of hot gravy in the semi dark as the lights were off again. After this most of our group left to go into town. A few remained but basically as we all had to work the following day the older ones and the ones driving left around 10. 10.30. The electricity kept going off and on and as a disabled person I didn't feel particularly safe. When our event organiser asked about recompense she was told it would be sorted next day when the accountant dealt with it. Several girls out of the 20 of us didn't eat as they were vegetarian, several didn't drink as they were driving, and all left early. The accountant claimed there was a £4,000 bar bill and that as they gave us food they would only give us half our money back, they claimed that members of our party were still there at midnight which none of us were. It was a disgrace there was no way we had a £4000 pound bar bill as the barman only gave us one free drink and said no more and only let each person order individually. There were other groups in there too. We had all gone to great lengths to dress up new outfits etc. They refunded us around £20 each so we paid £15 for a turkey cob some roast potatoes and therefore no free drink and our one and only Christmas meal for this year ruined.

Had our Xmas party here last night. What a great venue. The food was delicious. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were so pleasant and friendly. My compliments to them all. Would definitely recommend them.

I’ve been going to the twin oaks virtual every Sunday for a Carvery for a least 10 years! Surly that tells its own story. Still the same owners Rob doing his job with a Smile on his face his food and staff are tremendous.

Kleine aber zweckmäßige Zimmer. Personal ist freundlich und das Hotel liegt perfekt nahe an einer Autobahnausfahrt, wenn man mit dem Auto auf der Durchreise ist. Leider sehr unbequeme Kissen, die eigentlich entsorgt und ersetzt gehören. Doppelbett ist sehr schmal für 2 Personen, denke nicht einmal 140cm. Bar und Atmosphäre hingegen sehr einladend.

A very pleasant nights stay here. Lovely,clean,warm, room with a very nice ensuite shower/toilet. The hairdryer cord was very restricted though as it has a very short cable. Lovely dining room, we had breakfast which was nice but the bacon was hard and there were no eggs. Overall, a very nice place to stay though

Welcoming friendly staff and Sunday dinner was amazing

Little disappointed with the value for money. Room was adequate didn’t eat or drink at the hotel during my stay so can’t comment on that. Staff in reception were helpful and polite

Attended our Old Schools Association dinner last night. There was a buffet dinner provided. It was a good selection, but very meat heavy.

Location a little remote, address misleading. Room executive but very tired in 🛁 room no toilet holder, mouldy in shower, shower/soap rack in shower loose, toilet seat loose, room spacious, bed comfy, meals very expensive.

Ok so the rooms are cleaned without the need for the (please clean my room card placed on the door)😡 and once I found my room door had not been closed behind the cleaner with my laptop and TomTom still in the room🤬now let's talk food the steak not seasoned, the fish and chips, well I have had more fish in a fish finger and at £18, I would only pay about £6 for that meal, and way to many chunky chips, all the food is over priced the quality dose not match the price. The appel crumble and custard is nice 👍. In the evening when trying to enjoy our drinks was basically asked if I need any more drinks before the till closed, because they wanted to cash up and get gone this was at 9.20pm really? Ok the staff are lovely though. Oh yer the double beds are two singles pushed together which means very uncomfortable sleep because you can feel were the two beds meet in the middle and for tall people like me the beds are to short, my feet hang over the end of the bed🤔 not forgetting 6 pillows all the same size a little to high and with no variety. So some things need to be sorted, if I was to stay here again.

Really nice place. Great friendly staff. Was sent here by work to go on a course. Very happy with the hotel.

We attended a wedding. The whole event was beautiful. Very well set out, stunning decoration. The food was amazing, both the sit down meal and the evening buffet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend having an event here.

Me and my husgot married here on the 15/07/22 Kayleigh was amazing helping us prepare everything for our wedding she Is an amazing wedding planner. Our day was amazing, thank you to all the staff who made our day special, nothing was too much for them. The food both sit down and buffet at night was fantastic. Thank you for making our day so special and made us feel so relaxed.

Best sleep ever!!! Our king sized bed was unbelievably comfortable. The duvet was perfect weight. We slept with the windows open for the cool night air which was perfect! Plenty of parking. Staff were lovely. Good value, comfortable and cozy.

Arrived safely from the train station and was a tad shocked it was a bit further out than we anticipated. £17.00 taxi. Asked hotel for local taxi number and the price was £12.00 back to the party we attended in the city each way. The staff where kind and attentive. The iron burnt my dress and they have me £20.00 compensation as the iron was dirty and good job I bought another outfit with me to wear that night. The breakfast was nice a tad cold as we treated yourself to breakfast in bed. No toast and asked for pot of tea and it was nice. Room was small but clean ,next day car Boot lots of cars pass your window but we where up and about so it didn't bother us. We didn't get to look around the market but will next time. All in all nice place Paid £90 for the room On internet night before for £75 Should of waited. Breakfast £10 each Evening meal and drinks £45.00 for two was nice. Taxi to city extra cost. £12.00 to £17 each way. Nice stay for a couple if your not going into town.

A return visit, rooms nice, staff friendly and very helpful re local knowledge, nice bar, good food in the restaurant and good choice for breakfast. We were visiting relations, and the stay helped make a very good long weekend.

If you want quantity and not bothered about quality this is the place for you. Went for Sunday Carvery and wished we hadn’t. Food warm, pork and lamb was tough, sprouts and broccoli not cooked enough. The food hygiene of the man (I wouldn’t call him a chef) serving at the carvery hotplate was appalling, he kept picking up bits of meat and eating it, putting his fingers in his mouth when food stuck in his teeth. Very noisy atmosphere worse than a works canteen. Worse place to eat I have ever been to.

Great service with fantastic food with large portions at a reasonable price. Staff are brilliant. Would highly recommend this spot.

The hotel was clean, quiet and nice. The only thing that let it down was the heating in the room didn't work so there was a space heater in the room... Not a problem except the room was cold most of the evening and then it caught up and warmed the room up by about 3am and was hot.. A minor issue to an otherwise excellent stay

I didn't stay here in a hotel room, I went here for a wedding reception in the marquee which was lovely. It was a perfect size for around 50 guests, it was warm too, well just the right temperature as it poured it down with rain at one point) the bar was pretty decent in there too with a good choice of drinks. We had a meal in there too which was all warm and very nice! It was pork cob with roast potatoes and stuffing, salad available also. It was a real nice meal. The staff in there was real nice and friendly and made you feel welcome and happy to help if you needed anything. There was a separate toilet just outside of the marquee for us to use, some of us used the hotel/pub toilet too. No idea what the rooms or pub itself inside the hotel was like but if you're wanting to hire the marquee for a special event I would highly recommend it.

Only been here for a carvery. Dissapointing. Very chewy meat and veg undercooked. Plenty of better places to eat if a carvery is what your looking for

The place is very pretty old stone and its very very clean, friendly staff, came on a business meeting but i quite liked the place, also landscape very beautiful

Great hotel friendly helpful staff

Booked in as we had a walk planned on the Five Pits Trail, we have been here a few times and the carvery is consistently good. Staff are young but lovely and the table service was great and excellent value for money.

Visited sister in law & brother in law who were staying for a couple of nights. Had a meal, brilliant food & great service. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Visited again for sunday lunch - carvery. Excellent. Here 22nd jan had carvery again - bloomin lovely.

Didn't stay but had the carvery. Brilliant on price and boy there was alot of meat given out. Very good value for money. Thankyou

Great hotel ideally located for the M1. An amazing Sunday carvery with a very warm and friendly welcome. Events marquee situated out the back of the hotel.

It's the best carvery we've ever been to. The amount of meat you get is unbelievable and the food is always top quality. The service is excellent and staff are always friendly.

Had Sunday carvery. It was a group booking so were pre told we would be in heated marquee. It was not very warm unless next to heater. Staff reasonably helpful. Had to carry food down outside steps. Vegetables and roast potatoes were soggy and over cooked. Meat very good. Extra charge for a slice of lamb

The room, although clean, was cramped and the food, which was really good, was expensive.

Lovely room, great staff. It is out in sticks a little but we knew that. Ate in the hotel. Food was OK, not brilliant but not terrible. There was a function on which was really loud and we could not get to sleep until midnight. We knew about this only after we booked which was OK but would have preferred to know before booking.

Had a meeting here, and the service was really good. Recommend Sunday lunch too.

Been staying here for 5 months every week, always knew that the huge difference here were the staff, stayed with family in November and they loved it, as I already knew their view was it was all about the staff, Vic, Maddie and Tilly on duty and it made our evening ! Don't ever change Twin Oaks !

Carboots a Waste of petrol and time!! Buyers not parting with 50p purchases...says it all!! You definitely won't be retiring on the money earnt ere!! Been 5 times this season and all was a complete waste of time!! I won't be ever going back!! Next season for sure!!

Visited a week ago and stayed for 3 nights, fantastic food and very polite staff, the only downside was the cleanliness of the room and the bar arias, everything in the bar was sticky ie tabletops and hard floors and masses of fruit flys... With more attention to detail would be 5 star.

Done the job. On photo looked like country hotel. Shocked to find it so near M1 and basically for motorway travelling. Could have got hotel in country with breakfast for same price.

Friendly staff and homely feel. Stayed for 3 weeks on a work trip and became one of the family. Room, cleanliness, food was outstanding, Ruby made me some outstanding Sundaes (can recommend the Toblerone Sundae). Food was even bought in to order for us by Megan.

Nice hotel, clean and tidy. Bar and restaurant area are nicely finished and food was good. A little bit pricey but thats to be expected in a hotel.

We had the Steak and Stilton salad and the lamb. Amazing food, really wanted to try the macaroni cheese bites but didn’t have enough room. The salad was just right steak cooked to perfection. We had a couple of cocktails and a lovely meal. We called last minute and they got us in.

Friendly greeting on arrival and advised where rooms were. Nice comfortable bed but good for the purpose of the trip. Nice food on menu and service was good

We were not pleased with the room we were given being as we had requested a reservation for being elderly and disabled but however we placed in a room at the end of the passage we were told we could use the fire escape door to find three very high steps to the door we were not happy with this and further to that we were unable to get to restaurant as my wife uses a rollator and as there are several steps in the passage so as a result a non starter Edward Howard

Run by school aged staff who haven't a clue

Looks good parking alright but mainly went for the carboot brilliant size better quality good time for it good morning out but to get the bargains go with money not small amounts if you know what I mean

Amazing staff at check in, bar, and restaurant. They were all friendly and more than happy to help and go beyond the limits to ensure our stay was great. Bathroom was a little cosy but had everything we needed. I can not fault the hotel in any way as everything was wonderful. I truly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in this area.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here with my girlfriend for her Birthday. Nice quiet atmosphere, great cakes and sandwiches, and the best scones I've ever had. Staff were extremely professional and very welcoming. Very reasonably priced. Would come again.

There's a giant car boot right next to the hotel. I didn't use the facilities at the hotel. However from the outside it looks beautiful. The surrounding area is picturesque.

AVOID! Room size very small - have barely any space. Walls are really thin so you can hear people walking/ talking in hallway and also from the adjacent room. Lack of basic facilities like hot water for shower at 8.30am - we were told that the hotel is fully booked and all the hot water has been used up so they can’t really do anything about it which is really appalling! I would avoid staying here.

Food is excellent. Can't recommend the gammon enough !!

Sorry but this rate is for their Sunday lunch not a stay… how lovely was that? Really friendly staff and the food was excellent. We spoke to the guy who carved our meats and he was so friendly, in fact everyone was so friendly. Can’t recommend it enough….

Very impressed. Better than Premier Inn/Travelodge for the price. Room was smaller than Premier Inn/Travelodge but as a result felt cosier, more comfortable and well furnished. We didn't stay for breakfast but the bar and restaurant area looked very good. Will definitely stay again.

We came to the hotel to celebrate my parents diamond wedding anniversary on Sunday as a family get together. . We had a lovely carvery and the service we received from Fin and Summer was fantastic they were very attentive with all they did. Once again thankyou for a nice night. Would highly recommend this hotel and we will be back.

Lovely place to stay, massive bed and super friendly staff. The suite we stopped in had its own terrace with chairs outside and a beautiful bathroom. Highly recommend a stay here. Breakfast in the morning was a lovely atmosphere and food of all kinds were available.

My wife and I booked the valentines meal here it’s was £60 for a 4 course meal. The meal was starter, main, desert and then tea or coffee. We didn’t do the 4th course as we were drinking wine and felt it was a waste of a course for us. The food was okay. We did think that the chips could / should have been homemade rather than pre-prepared frozen chips. Also the starter I had that was prawn and crab meat felt like they again were pre-prepared frozen and I wasn’t that impressed although my wife has soup that was amazing! The main was good. I had medium stake and my wife had well done. The meat was cooked well! It was fantastic. The desert was a selection of chocolate browie, cornflake tart, trifle, Eaton mess and cheese cake all of which was excellent! The staff are great and cannot help enough - really pleasant place with good food and great atmosphere. We didn’t stay the night this time but have before and the rooms were spacious and clean!

Went for Carvery today, which was lovely by the way. What let this hotel down is extremely poor service, most staff seemed more interested in chatting at reception. Catalogue of silly errors from the staff that resulted in us deciding not to return. Train your staff more efficiently & split the area's. Have a senior team member on the floor, not 2 stuck in reception. Communication was the main let down, table not checked, had to ask for dessert menu several times, waited over 20 minutes for 2 Eton Messes, eventually received 2 flavoured ice creams with some squirty cream & marshmallows on top. No meringue or strawberry, mentioned this upon leaving to be told oh very odd, still charged £5.95 each though. Had a normal carvery & a small carvery, was charged for 2 large. I could go on but you get the idea. Shame really cause carvery & chef was lovely, just let down by others
