Wouldn’t visit again, found the staff had no customer service skills, I asked if the food was hot as had no lid on it and was assured that the lights would keep it warm, then went on to cover her face talking to kitchen staff obviously about what we had just said, rude I would call that, and when my friends lunch came of course it wasn’t hot , my lunch then didn’t come till 10 minute's after which when you have gone out together, would prefer to eat together. Spoilt lunch for my friends birthday after a nice day out shopping, won’t be recommending to anyone

This was the best Christmas lunch I have had at a restaurant. The portions were huge, the turkey proper thick slices, veg done properly, nothing felt frozen or cheap. Service was excellent, could not praise the lady who looked after us enough. Good Covid rules.

Visited this cafe on a few occasions now I would definitely recommend a visit. It has plenty of tables and good variety on the menu together with plesant staff which makes it worth a trip. Unlike some cafes I've reviewed you get your coffee hot and the breakfast is subsequently cooked and served.

Husband and myself stopped here for lunch while on holiday in the area, Plenty of food on your plate, Husband had liver and onions I had chicken wrapped in bacon with all the trimmings. Very tasty and reasonable priced. Friendly helpful staff. Will visit again when in the area.

My family and I visit this garden centre and its cafe lots but unfortunately today the service in the cafe really was poor. Massively disappointing. Service is usually slow but the food is lovely and worth the wait. But today there seemed to be no system whatsoever- and considering it was lunch time and wasn’t that busy. Some people could order hot food at the hot food counter. Some people weren’t allowed and had to order at the counter. Very confusing. When the food finally arrived (the meals were a good few minutes apart too), the pie came with vegetables I had specificsllt asked not to, the bowl of chips contained 8 chips and I was told this was a full portion. I then realised I’d been overcharged for the cake. I did speak to the ladies behind the counter who were lovely and apologised. It won’t put me off going again (although I’ll not order chips) as normally it’s not as disappointing. I just feel today there was very poor service and poor value for money. Hopefully the poor service was a one off.

Stopped here for a late lunch yesterday and was so chuffed we did. Staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was beautiful. Really lovely cafe with plenty of seating and a spacious room. Loved how all the decor was available for sale as they really dog food their own stuff. My toasties was made beautifully and was a tasty high quality meal.

Friday 14th December we both had the four course festive menu and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had soup and traditional turkey dinner I had pate' followed by the gammon and we both agreed a very enjoyable meal. We both had Christmas pudding followed by mince pie and coffee/tea. Although the restaurant was extremely busy the service was excellent. We were not hurried and found it to be very relaxing. We will definately be doing it again next year and would give it our recommendations.

A strange experience today at a place I have visited many,many times over the years. Huge queue for the Sunday lunch - out of the door. We just want a panini and a hot drink so take a tray and go to the till to order. Woman (never seen her before) tells us " you should join the queue - there is a sign". We confirm that we have never had to do that before, and there was no sign. She says she will let us do it "this once only". Rude, surly and totally lacking in customer service skills. I watched the guy who was at the back of the queue when we got there. By the time we had ordered, received and eaten our food, he had still not even got to the roast meat! So if I had just wanted a drink or a cake, I should have queued? I am afraid it is 2 long-standing customers lost due to a rude and unprofessional alleged 'manager' on a power-trip, looking over her glasses at everyone. Won't be back.

Visited Wednesday lunch with elderly relative. Meals are just £6 for pensioners and the food is excellent. There were 6 mains choices, plus many alternatives. The place was packed and most were there for a meal rather than visiting the ‘main’ business (I.e. Wards Garden Centre). First class

This coffee shop/cafe/restaurant is attached to Wards Garden Centre and probably has more customers than the Centre itself. Very popular - excellent lunches served at a reasonable price. certainly worth a visit

The Potting Shed is excellent value for money for breakfast and brunch. Great ambience where all are welcome - even walkers and their dogs can have a lovely end to their daily exercise. Very family oriented; nothing is too much trouble from a friendly and efficient staff.

I thought this place was average a best & to serve small plastic pots a long life milk with the pot of tea was not acceptable. Fresh milk was available but why did I have to ask. As it was late in the day ( 1 hour from closing ) I got the impression the staff could not wait for us to leave. Food ok but overall not impressed

When looking at plants I bumped into a friend instead of standing talking we decided to sit down & have a drink & chat. Tea was nice & accompanied by the Bakewell slice it was even better,a good example of proper home baking.

A friendly atmosphere and staff only too willing to help with menus. A good choice of delicious food served freshly made, in generous portions, at a value for money price. Well worth visiting just for a meal, but impossible not to be tempted with the well stocked array of unique gift displays for that special present, tropical fish house and dazzling display of indoor and outdoor plants, all at competitive prices.

Attached to Wards Garden Centre, this large cafe/ restaurant is surprisingly good and therefore very popular. We visited Tuesday lunchtime and the choice, quality and portions of food were very good and reasonably priced. Give it a try!

First time we visited the Café! Been to the garden centre many times, always commented on how busy it looks, so we decided to pop in for a drink and cake. Lovely slice of cake, could have been a bit bigger though! Scone very nice and drinks were well made and hot. We would visit again, hopefully for Sunday lunch.

Estado aquí muchas veces. Es un favorito de mi madre anciana, que disfruta de su comida casera. Encantador comidas frescas, como la carne y las verduras tarta, agradable. Buena variedad de comida disponible. Algunas comidas recién hechas a la orden como las tortillas. El personal siempre es precioso. Un entorno agradable, muchas mesas dan flores/planta muestra fuera. Cafetería recientemente reformado con muebles nuevos. Zona de servicio siempre muy bien presentada y se ve limpio y ordenado. Un par de años hemos venido aquí para un almuerzo reservado de Navidad a primeros de diciembre, que siempre es una buena comida y una buena relación calidad-precio. Cafetería y aseos para discapacitados, cerca, con instalaciones para minusválidos.

Hemos comido en este restaurante varias veces y siempre me pareció perfecto. Es un restaurante en un jardín así que no mega lujoso pero muy limpio. Siempre tienen una buena selección de comidas cocinadas y aunque nunca he mirado en el menú para otros que las comidas cocinadas siempre aspecto precioso a otros pueblos los platos. Este restaurante está siempre ocupada en las comidas. El personal es servicial y amable. Los precios son normales para una comida maravillosa. 1 carne y patatas, por ejemplo, cena de tarta y 1 cena estofado de carne con una bebida fría de naranja era £16 40. La media de edad de los clientes son más mayor grupo de edad.

Llegamos un poco por delante de mi hermana que me encuentro me senté y ver un caffe bastante tranquilo en un sábado por la mañana hasta tarde, repentinamente se llenan de gente hambrienta diners.
