We've eaten at the Six Halts a few times now, and despite one occasion where the food wasn't quite as good as the other times (most likely because of how busy they were) we've been impressed with the place and will keep on coming back here for meals.

The staff at the Six Halts are always so friendly and attentive, it’s these extra efforts that really make my family and I keen to come back time and again, that and the excellent food of course!

5 🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖for customer service. This pub has been our local go to place since we moved here 4 years ago and we have never had a poor meal until this weekend just gone. The cut of steak was extremely poor and not cooked quite right for how thick it was in the middle and half the meal had already been eaten by the time I got to the steak ( saving best till last) so i didnt feel comfortable sending back and we left feeling disappointed. Later on in the evening after reflection I emailed the pub directly with our issue and feedback of our experience and within 24 hrs we were contacted by the manger to discuss in more detail. Louise was extremely professional and could not apologise enough and as a good will gesture has invited us back for another try with the steaks. Very heart felt as we were not expecting such a generous offer. As someone who has never complained before over poor food quality it was a relief to have our opinions heard without been made to feel uncomfortable. Well done 6 halts for 5* customer service, executed extremely well. we look forward to seeing you soon. 👌👌👌👌👌

Amazing service, food is very good and served quickly. Very reasonable priced too. Very good with children! My toddler and older child both enjoyed their visit especially the tablets and ice cream palour. Will be visiting again soon!

Food was absolutely delicious, reasonably priced and the experience we had as a whole was amazing. All floor staff had smiles on their faces which is always a lovely thing to see and could not do enough for us!

Been in this afternoon and it was honestly a really pleasant experience. Me and my family hadn't been in a while and thought we would try it out and i will definitely be returning. The food was outstanding and was out in absolutely no time, very welcoming and hard working staff which could not do enough for you. Would definitely be recommending this!

Food was brilliant! I mixed my order between starters and sides the Ant was amazing! My allergies were accommodated for. Debs was brilliant, she was on top of all the order ensuring I had the correct one. Both Debs and Ant made us feel welcome

Been for a Sunday lunch today and I've got to say since my last visit the pub has definitely seen some significant improvements. Very delicious food and staff couldn't do enough for us. An all round very well managed family friendly pub!

Lovely cosy family pub n restaurant. Entertainment for the kids. Fantastic outdoor play area. Extensive adult and kids menus. Steaks grills burgers chicken and vegetarian options too. Lovely friendly attentive helpful staff. Highly recommend

First time visiting the pub but was amazed how good it was. Meals are fantastic value and amount you get is really good. Service was quick and very polite staff. Will definitely be returning.

Friendly staff at bar and on tables. Made sure we were happy and enjoying our meal. Nice atmosphere and not too busy. Able to relax and enjoy our time there. Great food. We had 3 beef roasts which were excellent. Will continue to visit every few weeks.

Definitely gone downhill in the last couple of years. Went last night and staff looked fed up and like being there was the last thing they wanted. Service took ages despite it not being busy. Food was average at best (gravy was one lump or two), cutlery brought after the food, brought the wrong desserts and was looked at like we had two heads when we mentioned it, when the right ones were brought, the crumble was cold in the middle. When it first opened, it was really good, not sure what's gone wrong.

You can't call yourself a dog friendly pub when dogs are only allowed outside. Dogs are allowed outside at all pubs. Food is pretty average and the staff seem less than friendly.

We went into the pub to be greated by the new landlord who was verry welcoming we ordered our food and this was served by pocket rocket who is verry nice and she always goes the extra mile to make sure u are happy with everything thank u

Visited The Six Halts for the first time tonight. Management and staff were super pleasant and very welcoming. Food was first class and would highly recommend. We will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Lovely venue, staff are friendly and welcoming.. price of food and beverages arnt bad but the food could do with being better. The steaks were like rubber and the burger was abit too on the dry side

Great place for a meal out with a huge selection to choose from. Service was good. First visit for us but next time we will bring our friends along when we are next in the area. An excellent find.

Just got home after a wonderful meet up with friends at the six holts, order was taken quickly and efficiently by a lovely lady and the whole place had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food was hot and tasty and we will definitely be back

The team at the Sixhalts are always extremely friendly and will do anything for you to make your experience with them amazing, the food is always quick and tasty, there has been a new manager on board who seems to be taking the six halts in a great direction! Thank you and we will come again soon

Best Sunday lunch last week I have ever had here , home made roasties and turkey carved breast … beautiful 🤩

Went in for some food which was amazing, the customer service was spot on. Would recommend everyone to give thus place a try.

I had come in for a few drinks and the bar staff was extremely helpful and friendly, I would like to praise Peter Jackson as he was outstanding and I couldn’t have asked for a better service from him, he made sure the food was brilliant and made my drinks spot on, what a great employee you have working for you.

I think the out door play area is great . But I think the indoor play area is a very tight space. It needs an update . Also the food looks nice but it could be better . The curry was watery and it could of had onions and maybe some peppers to add more flavour. For the price it's to high for the portion size .

NOT DOG FRIENDLY!!! Website states dog friendly, goes on and on about dogs being a part of family, shows photos of dogs inside at the bar.... We arrived to be told no dogs allowed inside!!?? Had to sit outside to eat and to top it off no water for dogs, bowls or anything. You cannot call yourself dog friendly and not let dogs inside!! So disappointed and very misleading will not be returning!

Worse place ive been too, food terrible, it seem that we were the only ones in there!!. I thought they forgot about us as we were waiting 45 minutes for our main meal after a very poor starter !!! First time and last time i will be going..

Very easy ordering process, polite staff, quick service and clean toilets

Called here on a day out with friends for lunch. Only wanted a drink but upon seeing the food decided to eat aswell ordered two hunters chickens and two mega meals and thanks to the kind gentlemen who give me a 33% off voucher it only came to £47 pounds with drinks included. Food took no time at all it was lovely well presented and hot , the mega grill was so big i could not manage it all . My only gripe was the rails on the wall were dusty as we sat down, also the cushions on the seating areas were well worn and split but it did not detract from the food and service well worth a vist .

Happy to wait forty minutes for food, as advised but when it came out, the chips were pale and uncooked. I’d have rather waited an extra ten minutes for them to be properly cooked. Staff member responded quickly and brought out an extra portion minutes later, of equally undercooked chips. The fish was lovely, but £13.59 is too much to pay for such a poor meal.

I arrived about ten minutes before the time of my table reservation and went to the bar to get a drink. There were two members of staff behind the bar. One who was doing coffees for people already eating and another was on the phone. Whilst I was waiting there must have been about four other people waiting to be served. It did seem like forever before I was able to order my drink. This was the only hiccup in the evening! After this, and I imagine more staff starting their shift everything went smoothly. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and the food was enjoyable too. We did run over our time slot but were not pressurised to give up the table. This was the first time I had visited the Six Halts and will definitely be returning!

Horrendous…visited as we had vouchers through the post for 30% off. Wish we hadn’t bothered, it was like being in a caravan park pub. Sat on a filthy table in the kids section, got asked if we wanted it wiping, obviously yes… after booking a table and putting in the booking notes we needed room for a pram, the guy told us “he doesn’t get given the notes”…what’s the point in the notes option then…. Then waited an hour and 10 minutes for food (hunters chicken…)and when it came it was vile, as soon as we got there we already couldn't wait to leave.

The food was good, but took over 30 minutes for each course and the place wasn't even busy to justify it. The gammon was delicious with some really chargrill... but I'm pretty sure that a gammon steak needs to be bigger than the egg it comes with! It was an inadequate portion. Kudos to the chef and boo to the manager. Several real ales are advertised on the bar but only one was available (don't pretend if you haven't got the goods). It's a clean, modern venue. It, and the staff who served me, deserve to be managed better.

Really enjoyed our meals there today - piping hot , tasty and not too long to wait. The only niggle was when we first arrived we waited to be seated (as I'd booked on line ) , a waitress came past twice and completely ignored the 4 of us and 2 other people behind us - when we did eventually speak to someone we were told we could sit anywhere but it would have been nice for the waitress to have acknowledged us when we first arrived- that said , the rest of the stay was excellent

I came today, we ordered a steak, medium to rare and it wasn't what was asked, asked for certain items to be taken off my burger and it came with it on, fries were stone cold, waited quite a while for food expecting food to be hot unfortunately it wasn't.

Nice friendly atmosphere, served at the bar straight away, a little wait for food but we were made aware of this before we ordered

We came in on Sunday and both very much enjoyed an excellent roast dinner, the pub was very busy but we were served very promptly and the table was spotless - the staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was hot and very well cooked. Great atmosphere with a mix of families and groups and we will certainly be returning very soon!
