Over priced nasty!! I saw the kitchen door open and was really tempted just to lob my steak right back in like a leather shoe ..smack land on chefs head..had such a good aim..but I thought meh il just leave a crap review and not return.

Decent food but very expensive. Drinks also expensive. Was shocked at cost of x2 Pepsi max. Unlikely to come back as I can get unlimited Pepsi at lockkeeper cheaper and a fiver for a very small bowl of chips.

Great pub for either just a drink or a bite to eat

We had an early dinner late lunch so not very busy. But that didn't stop the staff being attentive. The food was hot the steak cooked according to our request. The restaurant itself was very clean and staff were clearing and cleaning tables very quickly. We hadn't been for a while but will certainly be returning.

Ok for a quick pub meal and ive been here 3 times to do this. Today the atmosphere here was quite noisy. Football was on large screen tvs and various people were stood drinking at the bar. Maybe we went at the wrong time but We went at 6 45pm so not too late in the day really. I wouldnt recommend this place for a romantic meal or somewhere you want to chat privately! There didn't appear to be many staff around and some tables were left with finished meals on them for over 20 minutes. I don't know what they clean the tables with but they always feel sticky. I went due to a 30% off mains discount I received posted to home and glad I'd got the discount tbf

Very pleasantly surprised. Pub grub is not normally our choice, and coming here to try when it first opened wasn't a pleasant experience. However last night, I ordered pie chips and peas and my wife had a massive chicken burger with all the trimmings. Both dishes were lovely very good! Staff were both attentive, professional and polite. We also played a selection of board games whilst waiting for our food and afterwards. Lovely evening, well done 😊

It my was daughters birthday and the staff couldn't do anymore to help the lad behind the bar set us a new place as we had an extra person Louise I think she said her name was long blonde hair excellent staff

Bought my mum for Sunday lunch we was served at the bar by Antony who was lovely. We was served by a lovely lady called pocket rocket debs we ordered one meal to many but she was happy to wrap it up for us take home the whole day was made special by the lovely staff and my mum is ill and doesn't get out much so it was nice for her

Food is great quality, quick service, good communication, hygienic! And outdoor area well maintained!

Staff really friendly and attentive. Non standard things ordered with meals & they were only too happy to oblige & even checked regularly if we needed more. At the time we went it was not too busy. Food came very quickly & the quality was very good.

Had lunch here today and have to say the mixed grill was perfect, well cooked, well presented, and didn’t have too long a wait. The steak was perfect medium rare, Passed on to chef as it’s rare we find properly cooked steak !can’t wait to eat this again and

Staff were friendly and seated us quickly. The food came out very quick. We both ordered the Lighter option with the sirloin steak. I ordered my steak med-well done. The steak was undercooked a little for me but still OK. The steak itself was a bit fatty. I was disappointed with the salad that came as the lighter option. It was advertised as dressed house salad with brown rice, quinoa & soya beans, so sounded quite substantial. When it came out, there wasn't much salad, just a few leaves with dressing hardly any tomatoes, cucumber, peppers etc what you'd expect on a salad and there was a smidgen of quinoa. Didn't see any beans or rice. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our meal but I think it could be a whole lot better with a few tweaks.

Great venue for a birthday with a area which can be separated. Great value food, superb Sunday dinner I have to say,nice pint 🍻 and good selection of other drinks, staff very welcoming in and friendly, great for all the family with play area and beer garden also,well maintained now,

We came a few weeks ago to an Elvis/ Doris Day tribute afternoon event ....it was brilliant. Had a great time and the food was really good. The staff were amazing nothing too much trouble for them. We will def be visiting again....soon! X

I came here with my friends the other day, it’s the first time I’ve been. It was nice and chilled and not too busy. We stayed for a few hours and the food was nice. The staff were lovely and friendly. One lady in particular was very attentive and never stopped rushing around to accommodate everyone! It’s not often you see staff on the go like this! She was small with curly light and dark hair. Will definitely come back! Thankyou!

Lovely pub for both food and drinks, the cheddar leek and potato pie is brilliant. Couldn't have asked for better service from Debs. Will be back and definitely recommend.

We had the gammon and chicken tikka masala and they were delicious, service wlas good and we left full and satisfied. We were served by a lovely person, Pocketrocket Deb, couldn't do enough for you. We have been quite a few times last year and will have no hesitation going again.

Really enjoyed my visit. Really lovely building aesthetically outside, not old but different. The food was nice, the dough balls starter was really good. They gave a fresh pizza oven inside.

We go, as a group of upto 12, once a month. The food isn't great but it's a great place to get together and the servers are really friendly

They have a separate gluten free menu. Took so.e.time.for food to arrive but was good when it did.

Nice place, good food. We ordered: lasagna, 3 types of burgers and Fish&Chips. Large tasty portions.

Christmas dinner , absolutely dreadful , veg overcooked , turkey dry , gravy like water , totally bland , was absolutely gutted. Paid £195 for 3 of us , never again .

The service we received on boxing day was excellent, we were seated immediately and our food was bought out within 10 minutes. All the staff were lovely, the bar staff and servers were incredibly busy but still took the time to joke with every table and be friendly. I've been several times since it opened and I shall continue to visit.

We came for breakfast with Santa, communication for booking was absolutely brilliant, allowances made for my fussy eating 5 year old, didn’t feel rushed and the food was lovely. Brilliant service. Thank you.

Where do I begin. 3 family's consisting of great mama. Mama n grandad daughter n son In law and granddaughter came today for breakfast with 🎅 santa. From start to finish it was so well organised with crafts and stuff for kids to do and unlimited tea n coffee n juice. Lovely cooked breakfast. Meet with santander at Yr table then professional foto with santander for all family. The staff were amazing the venue brilliant and the food lovely. Thank you to all involved. Excellent service! Starters were delivered just as we sat down from ordering. All food was piping hot and no complaints what so ever! All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming! Will definitely be visiting again soon! My nephews and niece look forward to meeting the grinch when they go for breakfast!

Pizza with the Grinch for Chesterfield FC Pan Disability group. Massive thankyou to all the staff especially the Grinch for making this event happen. Children with additional needs don't always get to enjoy these types of events but you guys made this work and we cannot thankyou enough. The parents enjoyed breakfast while the children had fun making pizza with the Grinch then sitting down together to eat them. Thankyou so much. I would definitely recommend the Six Haults to friends and families and look forward to the next visit 😊

Had a lovely meal hear for my mum's birthday. We had not been in a long time and decided to go hear for a change. The food was lovely I had a beef burger and it was the best burger I have had in years really tasty. The pizza was great 2 the kids loved them and we will definitely be back soon.

Visited with family today, the prices were more than reasonable, the space was well organised and clean. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful - particular mention to ‘Pocket Rocket’ who really lived up to her name, serving us quickly and efficiently at a busy time of the day.

Had a really lovely evening with family. Good range of food and drinks. Beautiful beer garden with kids play area, all fenced off securely. The staff are very friendly helpful. Dietary requirements can be catered for. It's a warm atmosphere with a pool table and dart board. Would highly recommend a visit and you can't fault the steak meal deal on a Thurs

Fantastic staff who were only too happy to advise on drinks. Very attentive with clearing the table appropriately, not to pushy offering deserts etc. I could try and pick a fault but I would not succeed. Food excellent. Perfect visit.

Only popped in for a drink but they had a good selection of lager to choose from..saw food being brought out and it looked lovely..got served quickly as well.

We've eaten at the Six Halts a few times now, and despite one occasion where the food wasn't quite as good as the other times (most likely because of how busy they were) we've been impressed with the place and will keep on coming back here for meals.

The staff at the Six Halts are always so friendly and attentive, it’s these extra efforts that really make my family and I keen to come back time and again, that and the excellent food of course!

Pocket rocket greeted us in such a great manner. An excellent staff member! The food was also great and well served! Highly recommend

5 🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖for customer service. This pub has been our local go to place since we moved here 4 years ago and we have never had a poor meal until this weekend just gone. The cut of steak was extremely poor and not cooked quite right for how thick it was in the middle and half the meal had already been eaten by the time I got to the steak ( saving best till last) so i didnt feel comfortable sending back and we left feeling disappointed. Later on in the evening after reflection I emailed the pub directly with our issue and feedback of our experience and within 24 hrs we were contacted by the manger to discuss in more detail. Louise was extremely professional and could not apologise enough and as a good will gesture has invited us back for another try with the steaks. Very heart felt as we were not expecting such a generous offer. As someone who has never complained before over poor food quality it was a relief to have our opinions heard without been made to feel uncomfortable. Well done 6 halts for 5* customer service, executed extremely well. we look forward to seeing you soon. 👌👌👌👌👌

Been in this afternoon and it was honestly a really pleasant experience. Me and my family hadn't been in a while and thought we would try it out and i will definitely be returning. Food was brilliant! I mixed my order between starters and sides the Ant was amazing! My allergies were accommodated for. Debs was brilliant, she was on top of all the order ensuring I had the correct one. Both Debs and Ant made us feel welcome
