The manager is great sorted are problem out straight the way 👍

Not the greatest all day breakfast, hash browns were like pure oil and bit burnt, no tomatoes, tasteless mushrooms. Nice eggs though and nice staff. Was pretty packed chef must be having a rough day.

Lovely meal and service. Friendly staff ideal family pub for family meet ups and celebrations.

Nicky and Layla.. fantastic service !! Had a breakfast this morning 8 am after car sticking in Ist gear… on way to a meeting at the Hobby Horse..I left Injured car 😂for a radio show in Melton.. Bus and long walk to the Hobby Horse.. Decided as I had a long wait for car electrical , repair friend.. Tea and Cake .. pic above! Service and the girls lovely humour , and customer friendly demeanour a credit to Jack and Gary.. Together with the great breakfast this morning tremendous value..

THIS PLACE NEEDS A FULL REFURBISHMENT AND MAKE OVER. NASTY> DIRTY >STICKY PLACE. Staff are trying their best under extreme circumstance.

The food here is great and the service we received from Clare was fantastic. I would definitely go again.

This place is good if you can get there early

We turned up without booking, and were immediately given a table for 3 - we were quite early for dinner, so no surprise there. Ordered most stuff on their app, but it didn't have everything on the app, so still had to order some specific drinks from the bar. Everything was served in reasonable time, the food was really good, and the price was very reasonable. We arrived in our electric car - we didn't need to charge but noticed that they had a bank of fast 150kWh chargers if we had needed a top up.

First and last visit for me. Burger no taste, coffee only luke warm, screaming kids everywhere. Cost more than Harvester which is far better in every department.

Ordered the Sunday dinner from just eat, absolutely disgusting raw stuffing and vegetables, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding was rock hard ,had the gammon but was just fat! Really disappointed

I don't leave many reviews on places but I went here recently. I've been to other carvery places but this one stood out. Mainly because of hard everyone was working. They seem to all be working with each other and just grafting.

Came in today to have breakfast and a cuppa , I don't eat much at all due to surgery and asked if I could get a smaller plate. They said no , but were extremely nice and apologetic. I understood and continued to order my breakfast. The 2 staff member that served me were amazing and so friendly I felt welcome and at ease especially as I was alone. Shout out to layla and garry ♡ I'll definitely be returning :)

We were there at a busy time so it was a bit noisy for us, but it was a welcome much needed stop.

Food was lush but unfortunately the bottle of coke had broke in the bag and spilled everywhere

Me and my daughter go most weekends, and the food is lovely and all the staff are very polite.

Fab place, beautiful carvery, the best I've had in a while. The only negative.. We had dessert afterwards. They suggested to put it in a take away box because they are large portions so we can take them with us. We had oreo cheesecake, unfortunately that let them down a little as it just looked like slop in the box, almost like they put it in dropped it and gave it us, we had 2 of these and both looked like that. Hardly any biscuit on the base at all but the cream cheese was all over the box inside. Did not look appetising at all. Maybe won't have this option again. Otherwise great place. We will definitely visit again. The meal was 5*. Nice atmosphere. Little area for the kids inside and outside. We stayed for 3-4hrs actually in total.

Even though we went late on sunday afternoon, the food ordered arrived freshly cooked and piping hot and was very nice Would recommed you try !!!

Visited here Sunday morning took my granddaughter with us. we had a lovely greeting when we arrived and shown to our table food was lovely drinks were served as soon as we went to the bar . Lovely staff and I’d like to say the manager can never do enough for us friendly and so helpful . Great Service !

When we arrived this evening we was greeted by Clare who showed us to our table and went through the menu with us. Now this lady made us feel so comfortable and welcome she couldn't do enough for us. We have just moved house today and it was so nice to be greeted by a smiley happy lady. For my partner this goes a long way as she's from the pub industry herself and loved the way that Clare presented herself as a top waitress, going above and beyond. Hats off to Clare keep up the good work you do. We will definitely be returning and hopefully have Clare as our waitress again.

Good sized portion but needs more gravy

Food was not good quality, not many toppings included in my burger. It was a small burger despite the meal being quite expensive. I did not receive my coke zero, which was the reason I ordered as they had an offer, but they forget the coke zero. I spoke to the delivery driver who had said that this is all the restaurant gave them but Just Eat won't even refund me the expensive coke zero that I never got. I rang restaurant and explained that I never got the drink, so no excuse for Just Eat.

Amazing breakfast all you can eat plenty of choice, worth the money.

Came here for breakfast with my husband and my mum today, our food was really nice. Me and my husband often have food here and it's always been good quality. We haven't had a bad meal here in all the times we have visited.

A beautiful pub with delicious food & fantastic staff, we came for my mum's 70th birthday and the manager Gary welcomed her with a sing song to happy birthday & later bought her cake with happy birthday written on the plate. Such a lovely gesture. It made my mum smile and feel special. Thank you so much Gary! We will return soon :)

First visit in years.....staff friendly and service great. Carvery was lovely as well as the icecream at the end.

Do not eat here if you have any form of allergy!!! Upon our visit last weekend not only were staff exceeding badly mannered at the bar (the waitresses were lovely, the best part of the meal unfortunately) they were incredibly ignorant. When asked if an item was gluten free, the woman behind the bar looked up from her phone, on which she was texting her friends (yes, I could see, she was not even subtle about it) she scoffed, rolled her eyes, huffed and went "well I don't know!" And when asked, she was not willing to check. I have celiac disease, going out to eat is stressful enough because of this, however this womans attitude was utterly disgraceful and almost reduced me to tears, clearly the staff need to have some proper allergy training and an attitude adjustment. Awful experience, we certainly will not be returning, and will be telling everyone to avoid.

We really enjoyed our Family meal last night. The food was delicious and we received excellent customer service from Claire. She was very friendly and helpful. We will look forward to returning very soon.

We booked for 6.30pm and was told carvery was finished so we ordered from menu to find a lot of the items were also out of stock . So first time we were very upset with the foods.

Haven't been disappointed all the times I have been here.

Hobby Horse Farm is a local to us and serves decent food at affordable prices. Sometimes quite busy, particularly on weekdays. I wished the carvery hard more variety, but you get what you pay for and I think the price reflects the selection accordingly.

Visited for the first time today with my Mum and Daughter. Approaching the building signage was good, looked very neat, tidy and well maintained. Access was easy up ramps. Host greeted us professionally and friendly, nice compliment for my Mum. As we were shown to our seats, very good first impression of surroundings and atmosphere. We were served swiftly and the food was served piping hot, great taste and portion sizes, staff were very friendly. Overall I thoroughly recommend the Hobby Horse, and look forward to returning

Really good visit... the only bad part was they wete very busy and couldnt seat us immediately, no problem.. then thry forgot us.. loads of empty seats but no call... hibby went up and they had lost the scrap of paper we, and another couple, had our names on...we didn't have the carvery as the queue was very long the food was hot and I asked if I was able to go and get more veg from the carvery and they said of course... relaxed and very nice...

Visited for a Sunday carvery today and was unfortunately very disappointed. The stuffing and vegetables was undercooked. Cauliflower cheese was basically raw and had no cheese on. Beef was fatty. I am not one to complain and have never left a bad review anywhere but I was extremely disappointed. Would not recommend.

We went for Carvery meal last night at The Hobby Horse and it was absolutely delicious. I wish you offered white cabbage/Garden peas / swede as not keen on red cabbage and broccoli. Other than that it was spot on

Stopped off for lunch in there and everything started off pretty much great. We ordered the 2 corses for 8.99 which again will not a bad price. My husband ordered the start and main and my self ordered the main and pudding ... Start came out quickly, mains then came over just as quick ... Pudding got lost ... we sat for over 20 min waiting for this pudding to arrive plates had been cleared as soon as we finished. In the end we at to leave as it was time to pick the children up from school so we just walked out.

We got a carvery delivered. We asked and paid for 3 meats. When it arrived we had 1 meat each that was pretty much all gristle and the rest was just slop. Awful...Will never order from there again or go In to eat either. Very bland and tasteless aswell

Rank meal.’m beef had tubes and fat throughout it. Roasties were dry, loaded with stuffing and only carrots for veg. Yorkie in the sealed plastic container so arrived soggy. Waste of money.

Very Dissapointed in my food delivery. Had a carvery what I asked for wasnt put on. And I'm certain at Sunday lunchtime they hadn't ran out of things. Had beef put in my order which was completely inedible with tubes going through it. dry roast potatoes hard caulifour. How can someone serve that up and not see the issues with it is beyond me..

I went with my family and it was extremely nice, Leann and Misty were extremely helpful on the bar and food being taken out. I would definitely recommend for family meals!

Didn't know what to expect, turning up without a reservation, on a Bank Holiday Monday! But absolutely delighted that they did a GEORGEOUS carvery and they had a table for the 2 of us and 5-yr-old grandson. His pasta and drink came out quickly so we were able to get our carvery. John, Connor and Nicky ensured our plates were cleared and our grandson had his free-with-his‐meal ice-cream. Thanks all!

Generous portion, especially the broccoli! But it was cold, not sure if it’s meant to be? Also could do with a larger gravy pot as it barely covered the food and I had to make some more

Ordered a Roast Dinner , The potatoes were rock hard and not cooked properly ( on all 5 meals ). Also the Broccoli was under cooked . I have been to The Hobby Horse plenty of times but this was very poor quality . I Feel like I wasted my money .

Food is always hot presentation is of the utmost and a very good environment all round staff are also very good and helpful at all times.

They just don’t have the staff to deal with amount of people that attend. We ordered our food to come together and it came as when they decided to bring it despite telling staff we ordered together some of our group did not get their food until others had finished. No staff on hand to say anything to.
