Lovely food. Staff didn't appear happy - no talking, heads down, no pleasantries and hand put out by girl on till saying £x. I will possibly go again, but not make a special trip. Maybe it was the end of lunchtime service, but both staff members were not at all customer focused. Shame because the food was really nice.

Friendly welcome & comfortable inside seating. We called for a nice pot of tea & not disappointed. Big tea pot, extra hot water, & only £2.20 for two people. Good menu offered. Home cooked food. Farm shop small but has a good selection of fresh veg & assorted home made pies.

Despite website saying it was open today it wasn’t. I looked at the web site and it clearly states that the cafe is open today Friday 19th April. Please can you keep your customers updated on your opening times

We saw this place lurking in the corner of The Forge, Dronfield. They've got a couple of tables so we had two freshly made chicken rolls with a winter salad on the side and tea. Very nice. A large choice of fillings and salad boxes with a daily special. We visited from 3-4pm.

Love this place and since discovering, have been quite a few times. Always a great selection of freshly made food and cakes at really good prices, plus the little farm shop where you can lots of goodies to take home. Delicious food and welcoming staff. Undercover outdoor barn area for seating so just need to wrap up warm when it's chilly - but all adds to the experience.

Great food cooked to order and how you want it. Would recommend this place over others in Eckington. BLT to die for! Try it.

We went to the Hyde Park Inn because we were going to the wake of a very dear friend (who sadly died recently) was held there. The place ended up being packed because our friend was very well known in Dronfield. The food was good finger buffet stuff and plenty of it.Would,nt mind calling back in the future under better circumstances as looked a very good place for a meal and a drink.

Our many visits to the Hunloke Arms have always been exceptional. However tonight was disappointing. It commenced well with great service and tasty starters, followed by delicious main courses. After we had finished the main course the waitress came over to ask if we had enjoyed the food and asked if we would like desserts. We said, ‘yes please’ but she was interrupted by a couple on the next table asking for coffee. After waiting for some time we thought the waitress had forgotten us so I went to the bar to request a dessert menu. Again, we waited for a while, wondering if we were going to get served. Everyone seemed busy clearing tables etc. but still nothing happened and guests were leaving. It must have been over half an hour and still no service so we decided to just pay the bill and leave. So, no dessert, no coffee, and now we were having to wait to pay! We ended up going to the bar to pay but there was no reference to the deserts or whether we had enjoyed the meal. I hope this level of service does not become a habit.

Called today on our Sunday walk, we found a table outside as we have dogs, we sat there for almost 10 minutes waiting for table service, we felt ignored as the staff were serving other tables, so my wife decided to go inside to order, my wife pointed out we’d been waiting awhile, and the staff replied with we’re busy, but not too busy to serve other tables, while looking at the cakes she noticed that the gluten free cakes were at the bottom of the cabinet, they should be at the top so there is no risk of cross contamination, to which my wife pointed this out to the woman serving her, who quickly replied, you’re a happy bunny today, basic food hygiene where allergies are concerned is very poor, and very rude staff, we’ll continue to use the Barlow ponds cafe in future.

Ordered a pie to take out and they charged me 40p to heat it up, the pie was ok but I've never ever been charged for warming any food before, the pie wasn't good enough to warrant the extra charge

Went for afternoon tea with my mum, using a Groupon voucher. Very good food, good variety and quality. Had to take cakes home as there was far too much. From booking to leaving the staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Very pleasant dining room and atmosphere.
