The best restaurants in North East Derbyshire East Midlands

We just popped in by chance as we hadn't been for a while. We had a beautiful scone and coffee. We were fortunate that the owners grandaughter, Emily Fern was home as she sang for over an hour. She has a beautiful voice and I can see why she's a big hit on the cruise ships.

Cafe and small motorcycle museum in one. A bit hidden away, but if you're a motorcycling buff, it's worth hunting it out. Admission free, it's part museum and part shop as it seems everything is for sale. The bikes are in concourse condition, thanks to the enthusiastic couple who now own the place. The cafe does an excellent breakfast, along with cakes and other edible treats. There is no car park and on street parking is limited, but the street wasn't busy the day we were there. I'd certainly revisit.

Lovely local pub very kind friendly staff, pet friendly. great selection of beers and snacks and also lots of events always happening including darts, dominoes and pool nights. karaoke is a blast on the weekend!

Myself, my mum and my mother in law popped in to grab some food after collecting my wedding dress from a shop down the road - we had never been before but oh my what a find! Claire our waitress gave amazing service and was very helpful and in general just a lovely person to speak too. The food was amazing, credits to the chef! Drinks choice was excellent! If we lived closer, we’d be regulars that’s for sure.

This place is a joke. Went with the family after a lovely day at Rother valley after carefully checking the recommendations online. Bar was so noisy we couldn’t even make ourselves heard by the waitress taking our order. Bar was full of drunks shouting and swearing in a child friendly area. Drinks order took 15 minutes to arrive. Food took over an hour to arrive and it was nothing special and overpriced. Sharing platter was dried out and barely edible never worth the £60 price. Owner was very rude and threatening on the phone when we complained and left a laughing face on my negative Facebook review which tells you the kind of man he is. There was no attempt on his part to resolve the issue but thankfully his duty manager Dylan did what he could to resolve the situation. Won’t be coming back in a hurry. Avoid if you can

Absolutely in love with the place! 🤩 Shame I can only give 5 stars, as this place is way beyond. 👏 Amazing food, service, and atmosphere 😃 After a long day of driving being on a house hunt, coming all the way from the South of England, this is exactly what I and my hubby needed. All of the people were very lovely 🥰, especially the owner, engaging with us and sharing their views on certain locations where we had already seen to buy a potential house. A big thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a warm welcome ❤️ We will definitely come back and recommend this place to everyone 🙌🙌

My wife and I are becoming regulars here. The breakfasts are simply the best and we are always made to feel very welcome.

Great traditional pub set in lovely countryside with pretty views. Lovely friendly staff serving a number of good cask beers. I didn't have food other than crisps so I couldn't comment
