Coffee Central in North East Derbyshire

Visited Coffee Central on a recommendation from a friend and we loved it. The owners were welcoming and friendly, the background music was gentle and relaxing and the food was excellent. We both had the 3 egg omelette with ham, tomato and cheese which came with salad, coleslaw and crisps. The omelette was the best I've had for a long time and the salad was not just the usual garnish you get in most places but a full salad full of fresh and varied items. Food very well presented. The 2 lattes we had with the meal were a very nice blend of coffee as well. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely cafe. Great customer service and varied menu. I’ve been here a number of times now and it’s my favourite in Dronfield. Good value for money and comfy atmosphere. Great for breakfast and lunch.

Good service and food, prices are also excellent only costing around 25-30 for two. Location is easy to get to and seating is always available. Will come again 🔥

Visited Coffee Central yesterday with my husband, sister and 3 young children. The food was fantastic and the service brilliant. We had a selection of wraps and sandwiches, a milk shake, a smoothie and Arabic tea. All was super fresh and tasty. We will definitely be returning soon.

Been twice recently ,outstanding both times, food great, attention to detail spot on, coleslaw 😉, lovely couple really made the lunch an experience, will definitely be going again

6 ladies (5 of which had not visited since the new owners took over) met for a lunch of omelettes and eggs Benedict, which we all thoroughly enjoyed, very tasty - we’re a noisy fussy lot, but nothing was too much trouble. Delicious scones, hot chocolate & coffees too , thank you

Fabulous food, wonderful, genuine, friendly service. I had a bagel, wife had ciabatta - both very tasty, very fresh. Annoyed with myself, having lived in ‘Dronny’ for about 10 years that this is the first time I’ve visited this gem. A real find, will be returning soon.

Just what I needed on an impromptu motorbike bike. Lunchtime loomed, stomach rumbled threateningly and I needed a good cup of coffee. Ordered an americano which arrived while I tried to whittle the menu down to one item. Settled on ciabatta with salmon, cream cheese and avocado which arrived before the coffee had cooled enough to drink. with the ciabatta came crisps and a freshly prepared salad neatly presented. the ciabatta was toasted perfectly and of proper texture, unlike the crushed-to-cardboard offerings of far too many places. Everything tasted better than I’d hoped and I left with a mental not to go again next time I’m in the area. Service was prompt, friendly and unfussy. A great find

I visited the venue on High Street Dronfield with a colleague this morning,for the first time. We were both impressed with the friendly staff. The food and coffee were very nice at a reasonable price. Our food was freshly prepared and of a high standard.We will be back✅✅

As only doing takeaways at the moment, I have called in a couple of times to buy a Quiche Box. Absolutely delicious quiche of the day comes with salad and coleslaw. Ideal to take home or to have for a picnic. Great selection of cakes too.

A lovely place for an excellent cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Pleasant surroundings and friendly service with a smile and chat. Excellent home made fayre of all kinds savoury and sweet.

Called in for a takeout picnic box and the staff were so friendly! The food was delicious and just the right amount for us! We will definitely be coming back soon!

Coffee Central is a fantastic coffee shop - not only does Mel serve breakfast, lunch, tea, cake, she hosts psychic nights, bistro nights and lots of other events. The food quality is excellent. The service is outstanding. The value for money is brilliant. I cannot recommend this lovely coffee shop enough. See you again soon!

Have visited Coffee Central a couple of times over the past month for the Physic Night & Bistro Night. Lovely homemade food in a friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend the speciality nights, but also great to pop in for a coffee and food at any time!

Enjoyed lunch with a friend here a few weeks back. It was lovely. I had salmon salad. It was very nicely presented, plentiful and delicious. The coffee was also very good. Served nice and hot and full of flavour without being over powering strong.Friendly staff and very clean coffee shop.Booked in advance.I will be returning.

My husband and 2guests went for the Gourmet Night on Saturday 16th February.The food was exceptionally delicious, freshly cooked and served piping hot. A glass of Prosecco on arrival and greeted by friendly attentive staff. The daytime cafe was turned into a bistro, with plenty of room between tables, but enough people to create of friendly environment. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be back.

Ordered 2 meat and potatoe pies for a weekend away after being recommended Mel and her coffee shop. The pies were an excellent hit and more than enough food to feed big appetites. Would definitely use Coffee Central again, recommend this lovely coffee shop. Very helpful.

Mel and her crew do an excellent job of getting your day started right with a great selection of coffees. The breakfast menu is my favourite for fuelling up for the day.

Took midweek lunch of cheese and mushroom omelette which was really nicely cooked and served with coleslaw and a side salad. I asked for an Americano with an extra shot and that's what I got - a Really good strong cup of coffee - just how I like it. Friendly staff and Nice atmosphere.

The coffee is amazing. The best blend I have ever had. No stupid latte glasses either and a perfect size of flat white. The food is fresh and cooked just as you ask, gluten free, veggie or meat. Cakes and pastries.

Found this wonderful cafe in the village of Dronfield whilst waiting to view a car. Very friendly staff with excellent service and real good homemade food. Well worth a visit should you be in the vicinity. Had a nice latte with a bacon sandwich and shared a little banter with the staff

There's always a warm welcome at coffee central. The best coffee in dronfield. Their homemade coleslaw is gorgeous and so are their chocolate brownies. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in for brunch. Had some lovely scrambled eggs and bacon & a nice pot of tea. Good value and great service. Well recommended if passing.

Mi novia y yo asistimos a una de las noches de café Bistro m i después de ser clientes habituales durante unos años. Como siempre, la comida era excelente y todo casero. El ambiente era fantástico y el servicio era excelente y muy atento. Yo recomendaría el Café Central, nunca nos han decepcionado y la noche bistro también ha demostrado ser bien vale la pena visitar.

El Café Central es un pequeño salón de té, de precio razonable y con una buena selección para elegir. Un servicio amable por parte del personal.

I visit with my mum quite often and she said it's the best cappuccino and is even better than Costa, I had the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and the presentation was lovely and is a really nice hot chocolate. The staff are lovely and polite and would definitely recommend. Thanks ladies!

We love going to Coffee Central and the afternoon tea did not disappoint. Lovely selection of sandwiches, quiche and cakes. Excellent service as always.

Just had a really enjoyable lunch with girl friends in this gem of a coffee shop. I tried one of their specials from the daily specials board I can honestly say that it was the best quiche I've had in along time the pastry melted in the mouth .followed by a piece of lemon drizzle cake.asked the owner for her recipe but swore to take it to her grave. The staff were extremely friendly and cooperative as one of my friends is celiac the choice for her was as good as the rest of my party .will definitely be going back hopefully sooner rather than later.

Excellent welcome as we arrived from the staff. Very clean and tidy. All the food here seemed homemade and was well priced. Fast service and everything we ordered was delicious, we would highly recommend!I am sure this little coffee shop will continue to succeed, even with the opening of a rival café across the road (which we had an awful experience and would never return, but do not need too with this coffee shop)! This is our regular preferred coffee shop. Best coffee in the area, food excellent and all home made. The service is top notch delivered by friends, not waitresses. A safe haven for anyone who needs one, Mel and her staff are friendly, caring and understanding, with a little bit cheek thrown in! A lovely place to enjoy. Pie and Pea day Thursdays, they are truly superb AND regular Bistro nights which are very good and good value, always with a theme

Mel the owner cooks and bakes all dishes herself and they taste wonderful! Beautifully presented at all times. Her staff are friendly and soon get to know you. Nice atmosphere,premises spotless.

The café is very friendly, relaxed and the staff are very friendly. The bacon baguettes are excellent, very tasty the service is good. The only problem is that the café is very popular and the seating limited. Upstairs is more spacious and very comfortable. The scones are made daily and are really delicious.

I often visit this coffee shop, the coffee is great and all the food is homemade. There's Lots of choice they also cater for coeliacs. Great for lunch or pop in for coffee and cake. They do occasional bistro evenings which I can recommend. Looking forward to the Valentine bistro, look at the menu on their Facebook page.

Love the friendly atmosphere, always a smile and time for everyone. Everything is cooked freshly on site. Gorgeous scones and my daughter's favourite chocolate brownies.

I visit this coffee shop on a regular basis for lunch, either on my own or with friends. Fantastic homemade food and always different daily specials including a homemade pie on thursdays. Its a must visit when in dronfield for locally sourced food and a friendly environment!! The owner who does the cooking is really lovely too!!

What surprised me most was the fact that it was bigger than I expected. There was a lovely room upstairs and space at the back of the cafe that would be at its best on a hot summers day. The food looked excellent and I was surrounded by happy friendly customers who had been eating there regularly.Only criticism I have is that they don't open on Sundays for lunch.

Wonderful food cooked by the owner, three choices and served by the owner and a member of staff. Only small but very nice feeling and you can bring your own wine.

Touring around Dronfield we came across this lovely welcoming cafe. Cheese scone was served warm and was definitely cheesy and my husband's teacake was full of fruit and spicy. Earl grey tea was refreshing with two cups from the teapot and my husband's latte was a very good example of a latte. Chatting to the lovely ladies one of whom was the owner before we left was a pleasure. We will definitely return sometime in the future and will indeed return and book a Christmas lunch with them. If you haven't already tried this lovely coffee and tea shop please do you will not be disappointed.

The food is excellent having a wide variety and love the Gluten free products which are naughty but delicious! They have a daily specials for you to choose from and also have bistro nights. The atmosphere of all who work there makes visiting Coffee Central even more special. The food is freshly made everyday and nothing is to much trouble. Well done Mel and her team buddies.

Excellent place for just coffee and cake as well as lunch. Everything is baked on site it really is lovely food. If the car park just outside is full there is plenty of parking in the civic centre car park

Lovely coffee shop with tasty extras. All food is home cooked/home baked on the premises by the proprietor. Wonderfully presented and reasonably priced. All round good place to go.

A lovely little cafe, great coffee and food. I go regularly for coffee and I have been for lunch and the occasional bistro. Staff are lovely and all food is made onsite. I have never been disappointed. Mel also caters for gluten free diets. There is more seeting upstairs and out back in the courtyard which is lovely on a warm day.

I visit Coffee Central about once a month on Wednesday mornings with a friend, just for a natter. You have to get in before 10.45 as it is a small popular place and gets very busy after that time. We usually have tea cakes and decaf tea for me, coffee for my friend. The home made cakes all look very tempting but so far I haven't succumbed as I am on a diet - one day. We are always made very welcome.

Great food and the staff really make you feel welcome. I had the breakfast panini wow amazing I'll definitely be back. The range of homemade products and the fact a lot of the produce is locally sourced is great.

Called in for a coffee last Saturday.Place lovely and warm. Had a coffee each with a chocolate brownie. Can honestly say was best brownie I have ever tasted. Freshly made that morning.Will certainly go again and have lunch next time.

We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning at 9.30 and the place already had customers eating and drinking. We had two bacon sandwiches; one as a toasted and pressed panini and the other a baguette. We asked for well done bacon and it was cooked to perfection. I had a latte and my wife had a filter coffee with cream. All this came to just over £10.00 which we thought was very good value for money. We followed this by having a 'chocolate slice', which we shared and this was the best I had ever tasted! Delightful café on the High Street in Dronfield. Been many times and the food is simply delicious.Generous portions and all homemade.Have recently introduced a pie day on Thursday and the meat and potato pie was simply delicious.Mel and her team are very friendly and helpful so go and visit you will not be disappointed!

I go here regularly for lunch, the food is always fantastic, all home made and the coffee is lovely. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and it's in the centre of town near the shops. It's not cheap and it's not the most comfortable of cafe's as most of the seats are a bit hard and crammed in, especially downstairs, but it does have a friendly atmosphere. I've been to a couple of the bistro nights, we enjoyed the first one but the second time a crowd of us went and we felt that it wasn't good value for money.

Delicious Bakewell tart just warm from the oven, to die for, with a generous size pot of tea, couldn't get any better!!!!

If you want a great cup off coffee, piece of cake and a friendly atmosphere you cannot do better than Coffee Central. A warm welcome and friendly chat. The coffee is as good as you will get anywhere Dronfield, the cakes are are home made and the freshly baked flapjack is to die for. Tasty sandwiches and snacks are available all day. They also do a bistro night every so often with superb home cooked food, Not often enough !The only negative thing I can say is, they are closed on Mondays !
