Always welcoming. A great selection of beers on offer and conversations to be had. Locals are always friendly and are easy to talk to. We've had many good visits and will keep coming back. A true, hidden gem!

Love this place. Relaxed, good beer not overly priced and friendly staff. Also decent interior and Duke box. If this place had a few extra benches outside for the summer it would be perfect. Keep up the good work.

Lovely pub, great beer a real ale pub. A bit of the main road but worth going. Friendly place. Just make sure you check open times.

Great to see the Eggy still going strong and a good real ale venue is always welcome. Loved the pub, the landlord knows his stuff and his beer is second to none....so I was gurtted to smell the poison of vape smoke in there..... with the landlords blessing . I know times have been hard but I can't understand why after all that has gone before with smoking that pubs are allowing non smokers air to be polluted by who knows what. ..? anything could be in a vape ...and it sitnks !....why spoil your pub just because ignorant people don't have the common decency to walk a few yards to allow others to breathe unadulterated air ?!?!... beyond my comprehension and I'm sorry to say I won't be visiting again unless things change...... good beer ... shame about the vape !.😐

Great place for a drink. Good selection of lagers and guest ale beers. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Would definitely recommend this pub to all pub lovers.

Stopped off here on the way to our cottage in Ashover. The beer was excellent with large choice of real ales, some brewed on the premises and keg craft beers. The Landlord was very knowledgeable and helped us decide which beers to have. The fire was welcome and the Jukebox had a good selection of hits.

This is how pubs should be done. Own brewery, proper beer, no ponce, no food on roof tiles or bricks, just good beer and very nice people. Dog friendly as well.

Really like this place. Nothing much to look at from the outside but a gem on the inside. Lots of really interesting ales. All local or their own. I really like the way they use local businesses to provide their food too. They use Jacksons the Bakers for their pies and the local cheese company to supply a cheeseboard. Nice selection of fruit for your gin and tonics too 😋

Great beer, great staff and always a warm and friendly atmosphere. Very deceptive pub as it looks quite plain from the outside but when inside the decor is lovely and works really well with the exposed brickwork and vines. The selection of real ales is fantastic and also has a wonderful selection of great wines and spirits. Highly recommended!

A friendly welcome here every visit. A great range of real ales always on the bar, both those made in the brewery at the back of the pub and also other small breweries. We have visited at weekends and in the week and always enjoyed our time here.

Odd place. Was a Working Mans Club now has a microbrewery making good beers which are wasted on most of people there. Lager swilling and vaping popular hobbies. Also watching TV. Burned down in 2012 and 2014

A cracking little pub with a superb selection of cask beers and great food! The pub has a friendly atmosphere and is well appointed. Highly recommended!
