The pub is lovely, great beers and smashing views of the surrounding lands. Mixture of clientel, shame that there are young ones thar use foul language and disrespectful when there are woman around. But that doesn't reflect on the pub, certainly recommend

Really pleasant friendly staff, always a very good selection of real ales and an open friendly inviting pub. The main attraction is it's welcoming, reasonably priced beer and very dog friendly.

When it comes to cider and perry, it has no rivals anywhere nearby. You'd struggle to find anywhere in a 50-mile radius that regularly has more than five ciders on.

Visited this place at the weekend with some friends. It's a proper pub. Lovely friendly staff. No food but that's OK as allowed to order in. Lovely seeing all the dogs about. Hidden in a beautiful Derbyshire village this wonderful pud has a huge array of guest ales and ciders. It's a drinking pub but a selection of hit pasties is there if you want and they are absolutely fine if you bring your own or even order out as once your there your not gonna wanna leave. Summer time brings live music from local bands who are all my friends and are absolutely brilliant musicians and singers. Dogs are welcome and catered for and winter 2 massive log fires will toast ya cockles.

Brilliant pub, great atmosphere and fabulous selection of drinks. On the night i visited, there was also live music from an accomplished band. Definitely worth a visit.

The pub was good and in a great location and good selection of beers, only down side it did not serve food.

Lovely pub and some great ales on. Unfortunately the new barmaid tried to charge me £19.60 for 2 pints , when I mentioned the overpayment she gave me £10 back as the £20 note was still next to the till. Didn't want to cause any trouble as my friend whom I was with at the time goes in there on a regular basis. The previous identical round cost £7 something with a packet of pork scratchings as extra. Would definitely reccomend the pub and would have given 5 stars if I hadn't been ripped off .

Went here to watch Chesterfield game on bt sport may day bank holiday with a friend and it has changed alot for the good I must say since I went in maybe 5 plus years ago dog friendly friendly owner barstaff very good carnt fault the place will be back within weeks definitely not years this time lovely village pub

Fantastic afternoon watching live music - table service and the girls worked so hard - a real credit . . . the place was full but never had to wait long for a drink - if they do an event like this again make sure you get there early - turning people away in the end it was so popular. Spot on and the music was brilliant too!!!!!

Fantastic selection of beers and ciders, proper standing pub. Pool table and 1 large flat screen, but not in every room so you can get away from it. Nice beer garden with a knockout view, friendly staff. Not much in the way of food, but that being said, it isn't full of screaming children.
