Always order takeaway and it’s great, decided to dine in for a change and it was brilliant, food is amazing, friendly service and bring your own beer, would highly recommended

Do you what, bang on £84 on a family of 7 (4 kids) food was lovely especially the starter, service was spot on small restaurant nice and quiet, no complaints.

First time trying this takeaway, was very impressed, food was great! Quick delivery, food came hot! Only thing I would say is the onion bhaji’s were rather large which meant they wasn’t as crunchy but apart from that I couldn’t recommend more!! We will definitely be ordering again!!

Bilals hosted our curry night in aid of Ashgate Hospice last night . There were 30 people and Bilals provided an excellent taster menu. The food was lovely and the staff worked hard to serve everyone at the same time It is the perfect place for an event or party and thanks to match funding from NewLife church Chesterfield we raised a staggering £1000 Thank you Bilals

Went for my mate's surprise 70th birthday party and they proper looked after us all, nothing was too much trouble for them,will definitely return.

Fantastic place to dine in. Went last night with my dad and a mate ... Starters were perfect... Chicken tikka karahi I had was so delicious .... The chicken was cut to smaller perfect pieces. And unlike a lot of Indian places no big pieces of onion..also had cheese, garlic & coriander naan that was so tasty. .. Staff very friendly.. Thankyou Chris

Visited Sunday evening. Attentive service and food vary tasty. Breads were perfectly cooked. No alcohol available at this restaurant but soft drinks and water readily available.

Iv ordered from here a few times when other places have been shut and am never that impressed by the foods quality.

Worst passanda I've ever tasted. I'm not even sure what I'm looking at. There was a thick layer of oil on top and the curry was neither creamy or sweet. No taste of coconut or almonds, the curry is ridiculously grainy and rammed full of roughly chopped onion. It doesn't resemble a Passanda one bit. The only possible explanation I see is that I got the wrong curry?

The worst curry - indian takeaway meal ever had! Both curry meals that we ordered were tasteless and just watery. They seemed as if they had been frozen beforehand or reheated up in a plastic container in a microwave before being delivered. The water / moisture had made the currys taste just totally bland, as well as our plates literally swimming in water when served up, needless to say both of them went in the bin as they were inedible. A real shame as Bilal's (in Eckington) indian takeaways used to be really nice, probably the best in the area. A takeaway curry from any of the supermarkets is far better at the moment than what was delivered by them with our order. Maybe the owners of Bilal's should try a curry from Aldi, Co Op, Morrisons, any other curry restaurants and compare it to their own? Fingers crossed they improve things soon and revert back to the service they used to provide.

First time ordering from here the rice is boring and plain the chicken tikka masala is not a masala it’s full of onions and veg barley any sauce just mouth full of veg every time and it’s was spicy compared to other Indian take aways I don’t understand why there was tons of veg in when it should just be chicken and sauce, it was vile couldn’t even eat it 👎

Curry night with friends. Good food at reasonable prices. It's a bring your own wine / beer venue which makes the night out seem really good value. We'll go back

Wow! Staying at the Ibis Hotel not too far from here and decided I fancied an Indian. After looking on Google I saw the very high star rating for Bilal's so thought I would give it a try. I can honestly say from what I had this is the best Indian I have had in my life! I had Bilal's Special Tandoori and the flavours were immense. It has a large portion of all the good stuff that goes into a mixed Tandoori which are flavoured and coloured to perfection with a tub beautiful sauce which boosts the flavours to another level. Included is an onion bhaji which is hands down a perfect bhaji. It is incredibly flavourful and very moist (i know, I hate that word too but can't find any other appropriate word)! 😉 I grew up in South London, have lived in Essex and now live on the Isle of Wight and I have not come across any other restaurant that does this dish to this stunning standard. My last evening is tomorrow and it looks like I will be having Indian 2 days in a row now 😁

After moving to Sheffield I tried numerous Indian takeaways, after about 6 or 7 I found Bilal's and haven't been anywhere since. They know their stuff, beautiful food every time, I'm a harsh critic so if you go elsewhere it's your own fault!

Absolutely superb food. Old English style Onion bhajis to die for. Chicken was succulent in my buna curry. Sooooo avoidable too. Would definitely recommend. Will be back without a doubt.

Worst takeaway we have ever ordered! Bhajis tasted like they'd been cooked at least twice. The rice looked like it had been sat in the cooker for days. The curry was bland and tasted watered down leaving pools of water on the plate. Peshwari naan was tasteless which I didn't think was possible. Absolute waste of money.

Good take away and restaurant tucked away in a pedestrian presinct. The staff are really friendly and can easily accommodate small or large parties (up to 40). Prices are reasonable and there is an added bonus of being able to take your own drinks.

Just had a takeaway from here and it was amazing .bhajis were the best ,tandoori mixed grill with nan and sauce was huge and the lamb makani as recommended by the boss was the best curry ive ever had anywhere. Bilal's is a family run restaurant in the center of Eckington. The currys are very good and there is plenty of choice. Attentive and friendly staff make sure that every visit is a pleasure. You take your own alcohol and there's no charge for that so the bill is always a pleasant surprise. Book a table now, you won't be disappointed.
