Missing items in our order, replaced with items we didn’t want and the curry’s we ordered were lacking in flavour. The lamb biryani tasted more like mutton, extremely chewy. The nans were broken up and tiny for what they charge…Overall, extremely dissatisfied and would not recommend.

Quality Indian takeaway with some fantastic deals. Please try their food it's a must!

Masala do a family special option on a Sunday and we have been having one or two a month for a while now. It use to be very good value and very enjoyable. But sadly this year it has been changing. Less pieces of chicken in a main course, gone from 8 pieces down to 5. And 4 very small pieces of chicken/lamb in the starters. And also gone up in price too this year. Didn't enjoy it very much tonight, the pappadoms didn't taste right tonight, the quality seems to have been reduced as well as quantity. Come on Masala, you can do better.

Order not complete .. again, thought we would give them another chance wish we hadn't absolutely awful will never order from here again .if you order from here ..its your choice ,you have been warned. tried phoning to complain miraculously no answer

Another lovely takeaway from Dronfield Masala, most Sundays we order the family special. You get plenty of food and at a reasonable price. Delivered today within 45 minutes. Friendly delivery drivers. The Lamb Tikka starter and chicken tikka starter are recommended, and you get 4 starters. I always enjoy a main of chicken tikka masala. Comes with, chips, rice, naan bread and poppadoms. Highly recommended.

Ordered lamb noni no paneer cheese in the curry just grated cheese on top never been pilau rice sent us boiled used to swear by this place never again

Baffled as to why there’s so many bad reviews. We really enjoy a takeout from here and they always stick to the time they say we can collect for.

I did not enjoy any of the food I have just eaten from here. 2 dishes were extremely watery and one dish didn’t taste anything like it should have. The rice tasted like the rice you cook in the microwave in the bags. Definitely not authentic or fresh. Waited for a very long time only to be extremely disappointed. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. This review is not a reflection on the staff, it’s based on the food.

Very disappointing, used to be good and great value but now its just cheap and nasty - serving up very poor quality food. Shami kebab tough and dried out, sheek kebab stale and off tasting, samosas straight from the cash and carry freezer. Currys bland and lacking any subtlety. I would rather spend a bit more and have better quality food i.e. go to mint leaf over the other side of the car park

Sorry we tried you tonight after our usual place couldn’t deliver as so busy, ok your delivery was within time but sorry the food is lacking , Meat quality was good but the taste was bland watery no heat or spice at all very disappointing

Used Dronfield masala a lot of the years for takeaways. But last few orders we have had items missing off the order. Very disappointing seems to be a regular thing.

Don't order on deliveroo, they claim to have a mix up after an hour and a half, then say another half hour for delivery. Absolute shambles.

What an amazing place, we missed an item off our order online, not only did they send the extra item but they sent us the whole meal again complimentary, and to add to it the food is awesome, 10/10 for this takeaway would recommend every time 👍👍

Great service and on time. curry's very tasty one of the best I've had. thay forget. My portion of fries 🍟 but was back at my door in around 8 minutes with not 1 but 2 portions of fries. thanks guys will definitely be ordering again. found my new restaurant. 👌

Ordered last Friday Delivery was on time. End of good things to say. Aloo Chop bland and tasteless. Samosas had unpleasant stale taste and were inedible - as a hobby British Indian Restaurant curry cook I recommend the should change their cooking oil . Not flavoured oil, just used once too often. Wife ordered Aloo gobi but we received chana aloo with an apology scribbled on the lid - " sorry no gobi" and as she doesn't eat chickpeas into the bin it went. The Tarka Dhal was thinner than watery soup and lacked flavour. The Garlic Chilli chicken was equally lacking in flavour and had an unpleasant underlying taste and the Lamb Passanda was ordinary at best. The worst takeaway curry we have had in years. Avoid.

Ordered a takeaway from here for the first time, the reviews gave it 4.6 starts so can’t argue with that, the food arrived on time but was cold, we had to microwave everything which was puzzling as we only live 5 minutes drive away, the chips where as hard as bullets even before we tried to warm them up, they went in the bin, The mains dishes, rice and Bahja’is where tasteless to be honest so overall as my title suggests we wher very disappointed, won’t be ordering from here again, they had one chance and they blew it.

I ordered from here on UberEats. The food never arrived, when I phoned the restaurant I was abused and blamed. The was I was spoken to was truly disgusting. There are plenty of other similqr restaurants in the area of similar quality, use those instead.

Ordered from here the other week used to use nawaabs but since i found masala this place is just the best around and ordered again tonight love it love it love it 😀😍 can't go wrong for meal for 2 and the price for the food u get yummy cant wait

Uber eats, remote cottage Placed order at 5pm for 8pm delivery. Waited and waited. Eventually it was on it's way but then cancelled. Used 3 takeaways who all found us but you couldn't. Not good enough

Recommended by a friend so this is my first experience with them. What can I say? Absolutely amazing quality of food that was extremely tasty, delivered quickly and was piping hot. would highly recommend.

We've tried all the Indian restaurants/takeaway meals in Dronfield and have come to the decision that Masala is the best one we've had. Friendly and efficient service coupled with great tasting food (a proper Jalfrezi!).... what more do you need.

We had our second takeaway delivered last night and the food was excellent and good value. I would have given 5 stars if it hadn’t taken an hour to be delivered - our first take away only took around 20 minutes. However, I would not let this criticism put me off, as I would still order again- it was worth the wait!

Placed an order at 19:00 via JustEat, which gave a delivery time of 20:15. At 20:35, I requested an update. The app changed to show 21:05. I cancelled it at 21:45. Shortly after, the delivery driver showed up and called me. I turned him away. Still hungry. Avoid!!!

We have used this take away before and have always been pleased with the quality of the food . We decided to try the family meal it was really good lots of it and very tasty and great value for £20. I ordered online and it was delivered within the time stated . We will DEFINITELY be ordering again thank you MASALA for a lovely meal and great value. Also reassuring to know they have a high food hygiene rating higher than most of the surrounding restaurants.

Had food from here Saturday evening, only had to wait 15mins from order to pick up, used this place regularly in the past but not been for a few months we were not disappointed the staff were helpful and friendly the food was fab and so tasty safe to say we will be back

What a lovely find, this is the best takeaway I have found in the surrounding area. There are a few at Woodseats nearer to where I live but you can't compare with this place. Thankyou for a lovely meal, delivered early too by a lovely lad.

Just ordered a takeaway for delivery tonight using the app. Ordered it as soon as it opened at 5.30pm, received the email with time for delivery at 6.33pm. It is now 7pm and it has not arrived as yet. Should have collected it if I had known it would take this long!!!!

Tried this takeaway whilst staying at parents. Fantastic food. Very tasty, hot on delivery and quick service. All curries were really good. Naan bread lovely. Will definitely use again

Quite honestly the best Indian food I have ever eaten. Original Masala, not the creamy version is just incredible & Tamil Chicken absolutely scrumptious, I dont think its on the current menu but my husbands favourite and they always do it for us. Staff are always lovely and friendly. You would go a long way to beat this food. Its amazing. If you havent tried it already, give it a go.

My girlfriend received the menu for this but place through the door yesterday so we thought we'd give it a go. Although it's based in Dronfield we ordered from ChesterfieldWe had the Meat Set Meal for two which is £16.20, we placed the order on their website and also got 10% off.The delivery time stated 21:10, which was 40 minute wait.At 21:00 the door went and our food had arrived nice and early. The delivery driver was very friendly and advised us that they'd thrown a couple of extra bits in becuase we were the first to order on our street.As we unpacked the food there was definitely plenty to fill us up, it was a really good temperature for the distance it had travelled.The food quality itself was fantastic, the main dishes were packed with meat and tomatoes, the sides and sundries were all nice and fresh too. I had Lamb Rogan Josh for my main and the meat was sublime. Easily one of the best LRJs I've ever had. All in all a very pleasant takeaway. The single only negative was that once the order was placed we didn't receive and confirmation email. But I am nit-picking at that.We'll definitely be ordering from here again.

We ordered the meat meal for two. Popadoms were missing and the Bhajis were hard and cold in the middle. That's was for starters. The lamb rogan josh might has well have been a vegetarian, and the tandoori chicken was overcooked and certainly not a main dish portion. Takeaway menu has gone in the bin, far better curry houses in Dronfield.

I have ordered lots from here. But the last couple of times the dishes haven't had all what I have paid fir. Tonight the amount in my meat feast was appalling. I won't bother going back again, half my meat feast was missing 😒

Hemos probado otros sitios de comida para llevar así como restaurantes pero nada puede tocar este lugar por la calidad y el personal es fantástico. La comida es siempre caliente cuando llega y los conductores de entrega siempre son amables y corteses. Fantástico.

We've used Masala only THREE times now, but on each occasion the staff on the end of the phone were polite, double checking phone order for delivery and quoting of the price! The delivery drivers were smiling and polite, delivering within the quoted time. The...

Can't believe I haven't tried Dronfield Masala before. Been to every other Indian restaurant and take away in Dronfield but these guys are the best. Portions are generous and taste fantastic . Loved the Tikka chicken sag and the Masala special byiani . Looking forward to next time.

We've tried all but one of the Dronfield Indian restaurants and this takeaway is by far our favourite. Friendly service and have been happy to customize orders slightly, reasonable waiting times, not too oily and incredibly tasty. We've been here several times and it is yet to disappoint! I always recommend it to our friends.

This was the first takeaway we had had from Masala and I have to say it was very good. When ordering they stated that it would take an hour and it came after 55 minutes. The food was lovely lots of chicken and a great taste. Very good value for money will be having another very soon.

This is by far the best Indian takeaway around, the special chicken shobuz masala is amazing and their Tara Dahl is to die for, great service, would highly recommend.
