I went in to order a takeaway for later collection only to be told the 10% discount on collections only applied to telephoned in orders. I then offered to ring the order in only to be told I would still not qualify for the discount because I was already in the shop. Needless to say I left without ordering & will not be using them again.

Placed an order for delivery. Arrived quickly, however the nann bread was missing. Quick phone call, followed by an apology and then a replacement bread sent out, with a free starter and 4 poppadoms and a pickle tray. Outstanding service. Thank you for being great and looking after your customers

Food was all great like usual but the korma had too many black ball/seeds in the rice for me to enjoy it properly. I had to try and take them all out as I just don’t like them personally. The rest was great though. Thanks.

Order was 40mins late. Have been going to Curry leaf of 3 years amazing food never had an issue. Couldnt get the website to work so had to use just eat. Took 1hr 40mins to come, said they would give me a freebie for the inconvenience but never did.

Ordered takeaway food it’s got to be the worst food I’ve ever tasted over cooked yesterdays meat if not the day before, tikka massala sauce just full of grease, king prawn purée stater nothing like was just prawns in a sauce and a chapati separate, naan breads just dry and really not good, i rang to complain and was told when I order next time I’d get a discount not really a solution is it as I’d never order again anyway I never leave bad reviews as it’s normally edible and you just don’t order again but this is an exception DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!

I asked for no yoghurt and it was literally in the meal, I'm lactose intolerant so now can't eat it. I COULD eat the brinjal bhaji, but the tub wasn't even half full! Go to Mughal Kashmir instead.

Every time we order it comes wrong or they send some bad looking salad curry didn’t look right and end up waiting round even long we have order from these people for years and it seem to be going down hill I will never order from here again that’s how bad it’s be come

What a disappointment. Started ordering from here again after a few years, first few times have been fine, this time food took over an hour to come and when it did the delivery driver just dumped it on our door step, didn't knock and didn't call to say it was here but he tried knocking (which he claims he did). Then when we called to complain. The staff were just blatantly rude, sarcastic and cindesending gave usa partial refund for our cold food 🙄. After having to ring multiple times. Looks like we will have to look else where when we fancy a treat. Would avoid at all costs.

Our first visit to this restaurant on Staveley High Street. Pleasant and efficient staff. Good variety of food, including English choices for those who might mot like Indian food. We all chose something different and we all enjoyed what we had. You can take your own drinks as the restaurant doesn't sell alcohol. It also has takeaway service. We shall definitely return.

Ordered a takeaway tonight. I've been into the resturant many times. Always very nice. The driver time was going to be 1hr 10 mins which was fine. They sent abd email saying "your food will be delivered by" and gave a time. 20 minutes after the given delivery time has gone by I rang and was assured it wouldn't be very much longer. This advice was spot on. With in 10 mins the food arrived. Sadly, it was cold and not all of the order I had paid for was delivered. I had to reheat the food to eat it which added another 10 mins onto the time and the quality wasn't as good as it is fresh from this resturant. The food was nice. Eating in is a better option if you have time to do this

We are so lucky to have a restaurant/take away like curry leaf in the local area. The food is consistently top quality. The starters, curries, rice and breads are up there with the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot! Fast delivery, Beautiful meals thank you curry leaf. Highly recommended

Terrible food, was really looking forward to it. Nan bread over cooked. Lamb dopiaze cover cooked no taste. Korma was not creamy but spicy. Onion b from the starter was burnt.

Tried Curry Leaf for the first time on a recommendation. Ordered takeaway of Onion bhaji starter, Rashmi kebab starter, Chicken Madras, Garlic Lamb Bhuna, Pilau mushroom rice and Garlic Keema Naan. The Onion Bhaji are the flat burger type and not the traditional "onion ball" type but we tucked in to enjoy all the same, unfortunately they were tasteless (not even of onion) and the spicing was non existent. The Rashmi kebab starter (minced lamb wrapped in omelette was exactly the same as the bhaji's, devoid of any flavour and spicing. Chicken Madras on a positive note was full of chicken but the curry itself was one dimensional, just tasted harsh with added spiciness. Garlic Lamb Bhuna again was full of lamb but again was one dimensional, tasted harsh and swimming in oil. The Mushroom Pilau rice and Garlic Keema Naan were the highlights of our meal which just shows how in our opinion how poor overall the meal was if the 2 side dishes were the star of the show. As I said at the start of the review this was our first time trying Curry Leaf for Indian takeaway, would we return.......not based on the quality of the food we received. As with all things it could have been a bad day at the office, however we won't be returning for second helpings....very dissapointed.

Everything we ordered was there! Nothing missing, very tasty food. Loved the texture of the korma, it wasn’t too thick, it was perfect how it was. Everything was tasty. Onion bajis were great too. Everything was 10/10 and good quality. Only thing is for the price, I expected slightly bigger portions on the korma and rice. Thank you though

Ordered at 8pm for delivery at 9:10 and arrived 10:10pm. Called 3 times and no apology but next time if we order they might give us a discount. Cold food on arrival and only 13 mins away.

Their was plastic cooked into the garlic naan. Asked for refund and was denied. This is a health risk. Shut them down.

I ordered half tandoori chicken and curry leaf special. The tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala had too much food color in it. I would like to suggest the person who made this to make it look more edible rather than look it terrifically red. I would also like to know what food color was used: natural or artificial. Certainly the tummy is not happy after eating tandoori chicken with all that color. The color has stuck onto my nails and tongue as if I have become a vampire. I don't recommend buying something that looks blood red. It is concerning. If the shop owner is going to say that I did not order from here or we don't know someone like this I have strong proofs to defend. I would suggest not to use this much food color. Nothing is good for health when it is too much.

We waited for a very long time for our food. It was even marked as delivered well before it arrived (probably to get out of some kind of penalty). After a call to the restaurant it finally arrived, and it was NOT worth the wait. The Korma was basically sugar with meat in it, the Phall was tasteless. The only thing going for it was that it was still hot, and that just proves that the delay wasn't the delivery persons fault. Just awful. Never again. Please avoid.

First time ordering tonight and will definitely be back! Really lovely food, we had a dopiaza and tikka masala, and both were high quality, with a lovely balance of spice, texture and flavour. Everything was delivered hot and tasted very fresh. Naan breads were delicious too, really good with soft, fluffy dough and lots of flavour - yum! Thanks very much for our meal, highly rated and very satisfied!

This was a wonderful Tuesday night treat! I requested an alteration to a traditional house dish and it was specifically adhered to and I’m so grateful! I was able to enjoy the food I love thanks to Curry Leaf. Food arrived on time, popadoms a bit crumpled but on the whole a great experience. Consistently good food. Nice flavourful crispy bhajis. Perfectly spiced curries with plenty of meat in them. Fluffy rice and big soft naan bread. We’ve ordered four or five takeaways from here recently and they’ve all bee gorgeous, we look forward to coming in for a meal in the restaurant next time.

3rd time now that the food has arrived cold. Order shows as out for delivery and then about 30 minutes later it arrives. Clearly certain orders/areas get theirs on time.

Went for a meal with family last night. Was absolutely beautiful. Massive portions. Lovely fresh ingredients. Great service. We often go with friends too. As it’s such good value and you can take your own booze. This was the first time I’d tried a sizzler dish. Wow. Incredible. 😃

We’ve had take aways from here for years and we have recently started to eat in the restaurant. The food is incredible, every meal has been perfect. The staff are always friendly and the food is always hot and it’s so reasonably priced!

The food tasted good, if you have nearly 2 and a half hours to spare then go for it. Ordered at 5:30 Saturday evening, arrived about 7:45. Called at 7 to ask where it was, we were assured it had left. We we live only 10 minutes from the restaurant, we called again at 20 past. By half passed I put in a request for partial refund to Just Eat, and the restaurant rejected it claiming they included a freebie… there was no freebie, unless the tiny pot of onions was our compensation for a ridiculous wa

Food was 2 hours 47 minuets late, when we contacted the restaurant the first 2 times we was told it will be with us soon 1hour and 30 minutes later we called a 3ed time. The food was cold and had to be microwaved when it was eventually delivered to make it even edible, driver was unapologetic borderline rude when handing over the food as if he couldn't get away fast enough (probably because he knew it was cold) will not be ordering again as this is the second time this has happened.

We visited for the first time tonight and we were very impressed the Tandoori platters, Biryani, korma, bhuna and naan all top knotch and tasted amazing.

Delivery was 1hr and 30mins late, the food was cold. Very disappointed at wasting my money. I have used this restaurant before with no problems.

The food took two hours to be delivered from the time I ordered it. Even for a Friday night this is unacceptably long. The time it was supposed to be delivered wasn't updated. It took another 30 minutes after the latest delivery time to get the food. Beyond that the food was nothing to write home about. The chili chicken was OK (5/10), but with litter actual flavour. The tadka dal was covered in a layer of oil and just tasted like boiled lentils. Seems like someone forgot how to add tadka to tadka dal, or doesn't know how to do it. The bhindi was equally plain. The dish just wasn't cooked right and lacked all flavour. I don't understand how a restaurant can stay in business with food that tastes like cardboard. I know it's one of the few places that delivers to Chesterfield, but just avoid the disappointment until they can get a real chef in.

It was late again!!!! By 1h and 20’ delayed. The food is very nice but I have ordered 3 times and all 3 times came late by over 1hr…. What’s the point on choosing the time you want your food to arrive…. It will arrive when it’s convenient to them…..

Food was meant to come at 7pm didn’t turn up till 8pm , rang the restaurant to ask where order was guy on the phone said delivery drivers tyre had to be changed and they had to remake are food so it wasn’t cold so waited a further 40 minutes for it to finally turn up and the food is stone cold and rock hard..normally the food is very good and delivery is good but this time it was very poor with no apology and the food was definitely not remade to make sure it was fresh and hot for when we have iit
