We have ordered food from here to be delivered many times, each time the delivery has been fast and efficient, the food is delicious and the pricing is very fair, we will keep using this service and I definitely recommend curry leaf for anyone wanting a takeaway

repeat customer , this is the second time the delivery has been over an hour late , they mark it as delivered but its not , thats so you cant claim a refund , never again

Amazing food but arrived late, we ordered it 2 hours before it was delivered and most of it was cold and needed heating up.

The restaurant was spotless and the staff very pleasant and polite. HOWEVER the food was absolutely shocking, I can only explain it as slop. Will NOT be using again.

Ignore the reviews of people moaning about delivery times as the food in this restaurant is absolutely top notch! The people of stately and surrounding areas don’t know how lucky they are to have an Asian restaurant of this quality in the local area. We travelled from Eckington to visit the restaurant for a sit down meal having had lots of delicious deliveries from here and wow it did not disappoint the food from start to finish was top quality, cooked and spiced to perfection. We’ve eaten out at a lot of Asian restaurants all over the country and I can tell you now this place is up there with the best. It isn’t licensed but you can bring your own wine to drink. The staff were so lovely, the kind welcoming young lady commented on how pretty my missus’s hair looked and made us feel so welcome all night. I’m flabbergasted that this place has such a low star rating as it really is fantastic. People shouldn’t be leaving bad reviews on trip advisor for delivery times that’s what the review section on just eat etc is for. I implore anyone reading to go and try this place for yourselves, you won’t be disappointed. I’d recommend the Arakan Lamb it’s the bees knees

Great food as usual especially the tandoori chicken. It’s a shame we didn’t get the salad and mint sauce like we normally do.

Repeat customer, order from here every time we have an Indian but the delivery is getting worse. Always mark as delivered when it isn’t, ordered 6:15 due for delivery between 7:05-7:25 currently 8:06 and still not delivered….. may be time to find another takeaway unfortunately as the food is always lovely when it eventually gets delivered.

Amazing as always. Arakan lamb and tikka masala best ever! Gorgeous tarka daal. Consistently the best around. Our absolute favourite.

The food here is simply SUPERB - quality ingredients (particularly chicken), uniqueness of dishes (both choice, inc. vegetarian options, and use of ingredients - a lot of places use one generic sauce for everything, which isn't the case here, and omit key ingredients), and the flavours achieved - Best Dansak Ive ever had. We won't be ordering from anywhere else from now on. Please keep up the good work and maintain your standards, as you're way ahead of any competition.

Very poor service. Food was over 1 and a half hours late, even though they had marked it as delivered. Phoned up and they said they would issue a full refund, now they are saying no refund. Not only was food late it was also cold. They Mark it as delivered even though it isn't so you can't claim a refund so beware. Won't be using again.

Ordered at 5pm told it would be 60 minutes called after 60 minutes to be told it would probably about another 20 minutes!! Not good enough on a Tuesday night. I’ll wait to see if the wait was worth it??? It did take a long time to arrive but the wait was worth it, the food was delicious and I would definitely order again

this is 3 times in a row. I request 5.50 , the curry leaf says food will be delivered at 6.10. it gets to 6.05 and the app says sorry your meal is not coming until 6.40. meal is delivered around 6.25, 6.30. I could buy it once maybe twice but exactly the same scenario 3 times. what's the point of picking a time if the restaurant is not going to come anywhere near.

If your an Indian background I strongly suggest don’t order from them you will be disappointed. The tandoor chicken we order was having so much red food color so that it sticks in our hand. The food was delayed as well . And the butter chicken we order I feel like we eating payasam they put some cocunut milk and make it sweet . Sweet means extreme sweet. I have been eating butter chicken in India and in UAE . They use butter there . Here it’s sugar chicken not butter chicken given. Dissatisfied

Ok so delivery was nearly 2 hours which wasn’t ideal, but I’ve ordered here many times before and this as never been an issue previously, it’s midweek so maybe there’s only one driver on and it’s snowing so traffic may be travelling very slow. All things considered I’m gonna put it down to just one of those things that couldn’t be helped. The food again was absolutely excellent just like last week. I Highly recommend curry leaf to everyone because the food is consistently brilliant.

My order arrived late, the food was cold. Food wasn't as described, I ordered a fish tikka masala, it came in a Korma sauce. I ordered 2 cans of coke, Pepsi arrived. the nan bread was just dough and under cook and the chips were hard. Overall, a poor experience.

Sad to say I even though it was on time it was c barely luke warm. Probably not helped by the delivery driver hanging outside on the phone talking talking it side on the phone rathe than delivering the food. The Bhajis were the texture of a hockey puck. Such a shame as the food is very tasty but ruined by the temperature and in this case it seemed very avoidable. It’s also not the first time this has occurred. Made it hotter as requested too. Seems a real shame that the quality is reduced

Wow! Curry leaf are not only back on top form but also made possibly the best Indian takeaway meal we’ve ever had. The curries with so full of rich flavour and the lamb just melted in the mouth. Every dish was spiced to perfection and arrived on time and hot. The garlic keema naan was immense and the rice was fluffy and perfect. Curry leaf Can’t be beaten locally when they’re on top form like this. Highly recommended

When ordering food asked on photo now long for delivery as being told 20/30 mins 45 minutes later I called for an update to be told it was still being cooked. Offered to collect the order for ease and speed To be told yes come and collect it . When I got to the restaurant to collect order they charged delivery on top of the order when I collected!!! I asked if their was gonna be free poppadom to make up for the extra charge to be told no. Very disappointed been ordered from Currys leaf for the past 8 years, used for every special occasion but unfortunately won't be using again which is such a shame but the lack of customers service was outrageous

I am usually curry leaf’s biggest fan and have left many positive reviews on here but tonight’s food was well below their usual standards. The korma was not creamy at all, it was a weird brown colour, really thin and didn’t taste of anything. the chicken tikka in both our main courses was overcooked and tough and the Tarka daal was too thick and contained two many crunchy pieces at channa daal.

Tried for the first time on recommendation. Best Indian we have ever had delivered. Generous portions

I went in to order a takeaway for later collection only to be told the 10% discount on collections only applied to telephoned in orders. I then offered to ring the order in only to be told I would still not qualify for the discount because I was already in the shop. Needless to say I left without ordering & will not be using them again.

Placed an order for delivery. Arrived quickly, however the nann bread was missing. Quick phone call, followed by an apology and then a replacement bread sent out, with a free starter and 4 poppadoms and a pickle tray. Outstanding service. Thank you for being great and looking after your customers

Order was 40mins late. Have been going to Curry leaf of 3 years amazing food never had an issue. Couldnt get the website to work so had to use just eat. Took 1hr 40mins to come, said they would give me a freebie for the inconvenience but never did.

Ordered takeaway food it’s got to be the worst food I’ve ever tasted over cooked yesterdays meat if not the day before, tikka massala sauce just full of grease, king prawn purée stater nothing like was just prawns in a sauce and a chapati separate, naan breads just dry and really not good, i rang to complain and was told when I order next time I’d get a discount not really a solution is it as I’d never order again anyway I never leave bad reviews as it’s normally edible and you just don’t order again but this is an exception DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!

I asked for no yoghurt and it was literally in the meal, I'm lactose intolerant so now can't eat it. I COULD eat the brinjal bhaji, but the tub wasn't even half full! Go to Mughal Kashmir instead.

Every time we order it comes wrong or they send some bad looking salad curry didn’t look right and end up waiting round even long we have order from these people for years and it seem to be going down hill I will never order from here again that’s how bad it’s be come

What a disappointment. Started ordering from here again after a few years, first few times have been fine, this time food took over an hour to come and when it did the delivery driver just dumped it on our door step, didn't knock and didn't call to say it was here but he tried knocking (which he claims he did). Then when we called to complain. The staff were just blatantly rude, sarcastic and cindesending gave usa partial refund for our cold food 🙄. After having to ring multiple times. Looks like we will have to look else where when we fancy a treat. Would avoid at all costs.

Our first visit to this restaurant on Staveley High Street. Pleasant and efficient staff. Good variety of food, including English choices for those who might mot like Indian food. We all chose something different and we all enjoyed what we had. You can take your own drinks as the restaurant doesn't sell alcohol. It also has takeaway service. We shall definitely return.

Ordered a takeaway tonight. I've been into the resturant many times. Always very nice. The driver time was going to be 1hr 10 mins which was fine. They sent abd email saying "your food will be delivered by" and gave a time. 20 minutes after the given delivery time has gone by I rang and was assured it wouldn't be very much longer. This advice was spot on. With in 10 mins the food arrived. Sadly, it was cold and not all of the order I had paid for was delivered. I had to reheat the food to eat it which added another 10 mins onto the time and the quality wasn't as good as it is fresh from this resturant. The food was nice. Eating in is a better option if you have time to do this

Terrible food, was really looking forward to it. Nan bread over cooked. Lamb dopiaze cover cooked no taste. Korma was not creamy but spicy. Onion b from the starter was burnt.

Tried Curry Leaf for the first time on a recommendation. Ordered takeaway of Onion bhaji starter, Rashmi kebab starter, Chicken Madras, Garlic Lamb Bhuna, Pilau mushroom rice and Garlic Keema Naan. The Onion Bhaji are the flat burger type and not the traditional "onion ball" type but we tucked in to enjoy all the same, unfortunately they were tasteless (not even of onion) and the spicing was non existent. The Rashmi kebab starter (minced lamb wrapped in omelette was exactly the same as the bhaji's, devoid of any flavour and spicing. Chicken Madras on a positive note was full of chicken but the curry itself was one dimensional, just tasted harsh with added spiciness. Garlic Lamb Bhuna again was full of lamb but again was one dimensional, tasted harsh and swimming in oil. The Mushroom Pilau rice and Garlic Keema Naan were the highlights of our meal which just shows how in our opinion how poor overall the meal was if the 2 side dishes were the star of the show. As I said at the start of the review this was our first time trying Curry Leaf for Indian takeaway, would we return.......not based on the quality of the food we received. As with all things it could have been a bad day at the office, however we won't be returning for second helpings....very dissapointed.

Everything we ordered was there! Nothing missing, very tasty food. Loved the texture of the korma, it wasn’t too thick, it was perfect how it was. Everything was tasty. Onion bajis were great too. Everything was 10/10 and good quality. Only thing is for the price, I expected slightly bigger portions on the korma and rice. Thank you though
