Love this place and since discovering, have been quite a few times. Always a great selection of freshly made food and cakes at really good prices, plus the little farm shop where you can lots of goodies to take home. Delicious food and welcoming staff. Undercover outdoor barn area for seating so just need to wrap up warm when it's chilly - but all adds to the experience.

Amazing experience at the Wards of Troway. All staff are welcoming as soon as you enter and the food is delicious. Definitely worth every penny. Cafe area is well sanitised too. Really can’t wait to go again.

Just happened to be driving past and called in. Staff great, lovely clean tables and environment. But the food was just delicious, homemade meat and potato pie and slow cooked beef sandwich!!! Definitely worth a visit

The meat dishes are great and reasonably priced. The vegetarian in the party had a choice of beans on toast or quiche. The quiche piece was tiny and the salad was a few leaves and about 4 halved tomatoes, with a pot of vinegary coleslaw. Not great when we took ages to finish our large meaty portions! Nice choice of cakes. Parking isn't great. We got blocked in, with no place to turn.

Called in today on the hunt for plants and decided to have a coffee. The cakes looked too good to resist so we shared a blueberry scone. It was lovely very moist and tasty. I thought the cost was reasonable too being £6.00 for 2 coffees and the scone. Will definately call again and have lunch sometime soon.

We’ve visited Ward’s a couple of times now and both times have been excellent. The service is really friendly and the food is delicious-especially the cakes! We visited for my partner’s first Father’s Day and had such a wonderful time. The service was so attentive and our meal was lovely. It’s also outstanding value for money.

Only one complaint was the lack of space to park the bikes in the small courtyard but everything else was amazing!Nice friendly staff and clearly locals enjoying a Sunday mid morning brunch who already knew about this hidden gem pretty much off the beaten path!Small and not many tables but six hungry cyclists squeezed in and ordered from the fairly extensive menu.Salmon and scrambled eggs on toast for £4.50 was amazing value and pretty good coffee and cake too Nice little restaurant area upstairs too which looked to be preparing for Sunday lunches later on.Lovely spot!

We called to buy blue slate chippings & savour the morning pot of tea. Good service & comfortable. The food looked well presented & people were enjoying their breakfasts. Will call for a mid-day meal when time permits.

We ate last night 8 of us and we weren't disappointed, every course was fabulous. The starters were lovely all the mains were devoured by all of us, all 8 plates were cleared completely, I had sticky toffee pudding which was the best I'd had for a long time. My friend had Eton Mess, she said it was great & it looked it. Really recommended giving it a try

The pub is in a great spot and was packed for Sunday lunch. The service from the mainly fairly young team was really good - whoever is recruiting and training them needs to take a bow. The Sunday roast was ok but definitely in the quantity over quality category, and expensive at £22+. Mind you, if you can charge £22 for ok and still be packed then fair play I guess.

From entering the Angel & Harlequin, we were treated to exceptionally high standards. The first element we experienced was a genuine and friendly welcome by the staff along with a warm atmosphere. You then notice the high quality of your surroundings, where great attention to detail has been invested. That same investment was obviously apparent in the expertise of the serving staff who were exoertly attentive. The choice of food was fantastic and served swiftly. The food was absolutely delicious, where every element was of the highest quality and obviously freshly prepared. When we received the bill, we were highly surprised as we'd expect to pay more for a wholly unforgettable and amazing dining experience.
