Kuchene Deli Dronfield in North East Derbyshire

We saw this place lurking in the corner of The Forge, Dronfield. They've got a couple of tables so we had two freshly made chicken rolls with a winter salad on the side and tea. Very nice. A large choice of fillings and salad boxes with a daily special. We visited from 3-4pm.

Wonderful helpful staff. The most delicious sandwiches and the cakes are the best. Presentation is super. A real treat.

Nestled in the Forge shopping centre is Kuchene, my favourite Deli ever. The food is always fresh and they do a great range of salads, homemade cakes (thanks to Ewan), hot and cold sandwiches and specials. Don't miss roast pork on a Wednesday and steak pie on a Thursday. Now winter is here there is homemade soup as well. The spicy parsnip is fabulous! The scotch eggs and sausage rolls are well received I notice. It always cheers me up coming inside as all the people are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Drop in and you won't be disappointed!

I've been eating from here for years now since being at school, I've had a few buffets from here which were lovely, great variety, and also have sandwich orders at work every week, can't fault the service, the family that own it can't do enough for you, and cater for your needs :)

Tuvimos una cálida bienvenida por parte de una mujer más joven cuando vine, pero la otra señora fue increíblemente grosera y poco dispuesto a servirnos. Nos sentimos como un gran inconveniente, no volveremos. Creo que es como colocar más deli/tienda de bocadillos, no un café en ', pero realmente no hay ninguna excusa para ser descortés - esta señora no quieren los clientes para quedarse! Una pena, ya que está en un sitio bonito y podría ser bueno si el personal eran más profesional (aunque podría ser simplemente que una señora y tuvimos mala suerte al encuentro con ella).

Thought we'd stop by for a drink and some lunch last Saturday. As it was quite a nice day we nabbed the inviting table in the courtyard. All good so far. An absolute shame that the outside contrasted so much with the outright hostility of the staff who when asked if they had a menu said, "There isn't one!" and pointed to the tatty blue-tacked pieces of paper festooning the counter. Needless to say we left immediately, never to return. Sadly I can't comment on the food but preferring to take our custom where we'd be slightly more welcome than a fart in a space suit, I would heartily unrecommend this place.

I love Kuchene and use it regularly for lunch, they offer yummy salads, pasta pots and sandwiches at more than fair prices! Another great service I utilised over the Christmas period is their hampers, you can ring them up or pop in store to order a hamper for whatever occasion, and they prepare it for you. Definitely worth a try!

Have used Kuchene for many years to provide food for special occasions. Birthdays, a family wedding and when having family members visiting. The food has been of excellent quality throughout this time and the service beyond our expectations.

I've been visiting this place both in it's new location and back when it was further up on Church Street, the food is always top notch and home made just like your nan used to make! Always very very friendly. No pretentiousness or delusions of grandeur, just very good quality honest food with super service.

We had a buffet selection for 40 people delivered to the house. Personalised to our tastes. Received many compliments . Birthday cake lovely too.

I love the meat and potato pies, Thursdays. The cakes are delicious and the ladies very helpful. Other foods are cooked, try the bacon sandwich or just pop in for a take away toast and coffee.

Our wedding cake was made here. Best tasting cake ever. Had 1 fruit tier and 2 chocolate tiers. All our friends loved it and commented that it must have cost a fortune. ..it didn't. Have been to over 20 weddings and can definitely say ( and am not being biased) that ours was by far the best. ..moist and tasty.

This small bakery is hidden away in the shopping arcade known as 'The Forge' and has lots of unusual foods such as lavendar flavoured cheese amongst its many delights. As well as serving food they also provide a truly wonderful buffet tailored to suit your needs and pocket. You can't pop in to buy just one item - you always end up with a bag full of calories but the taste id wonderful.

Cake Cake Glorious Cake.. Best Cake Around... Beautiful! I would highly recommend you pop in and buy a piece or two, or three!

Brillant! Popped in for lunch and came out with a few Xmas hampers for family and friends. The perfect gift for anyone who likes there speciality jams and pate etc.

I always enjoy whatever I have from here but the meat pies and quiches are my favourites. I bought a panetone from here and it was half the price for exactly the same size and brand elsewhere so excellent value for money.

Bacon butties to salads to cakes!! Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely friendly sandwich shop which has been trading for a long time and even does outside catering!

Having had the Kuchene to cater at a family funeral, I cannot speak highly enough of it.Everyone who attended commented on the excellent quality, great variety and vast quantity of food provided. For buffet catering I would certainly recommend it as great value.As for the shop, call in and try the daily specials (meat and potato pie is great).

I regularly go to this deli in The Forge complex for lunch, they have a few small tables but I always get takeout. The salad boxes are gorgeous with lots of quirky and healthy choices that taste great. I happened to be in the other day when a batch of fresh scotch eggs had just come out of the oven... I couldn't resist! It was AMAZING! The cakes are also gorgeous and there is a wide selection of jams, chutneys etc to buy as well. All of the ladies and gents that work here are very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and can't do enough to help! Definitely a must.
