Lovely pub with vibrant atmosphere..... Large selection of seating areas inside and out... always a friendly welcome... I like that you can do everything from ordering and paying on the App... Food is very good and large portions..... They certainly do food food and atmosphere good as its always busy.... 👌

Value for money and that's what people are looking for now.

Came here with my husband for the first time for his birthday. We were very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful meal and excellent service from Shelby. Absolutely recommend 👌 💯. We will definitely come back again. Fabulous! Oh, and they gave us a little platter with Happy Birthday on. 😍❣️🥳😋

Excellent food and service in a proper rustic pub. Quite expensive but we didn't mind given the quality of the food.

Been here a few times, a couple of times the service hasn't been great the staff just forget you exist. The food is pretty good but some times it has beenreally oily and greasy which let's it down! Great drinks I love the cocktail selection but they are extremely expensive for the service you recieve

Nice enough pub. Issue with pizza takeaway but food server could have dealt with it better with us and staff involved taking the order.

I've been to Hunloke a number of times now and always have a nice time there. The food is generally very good, and there is lots of choice when it comes to drinks. The parking is quite tight, and they're currently having work (03/24) at the bottom of their carpark which makes it slightly more difficult to get out if you can't find a parking space.

Always amazing here. Great food and amazing staff. So friendly and quick service. They always manage to get the food out from the pizza and normal kitchens despite warning it might not happen, I’ve never had to wait very long!!

Fabulous meal , just alittle slow between food , my mum has dementia and was getting anxious so had to leave before pudding unfortunately

Thai chicken was unbelievably good

We had our evening meal upstairs in the Orchard Room. It's absolutely stunning. It's calm and peaceful. The service was absolutely fantastic. Our server was Ellie and she was wonderful, very attentive. Our food arrived very quickly, both sharing starter and main course were beautiful, much more food than I can eat. Everything was cooked to perfection. Well worth the money and will most definitely be going again.

An absolutely wonderful trip here. We’ve been here previously but never eaten in the orchard restaurant. It was beautiful, the staff were amazing and food and drinks lovely. We stayed after the meal for some drinks and struggled to get a taxi after trying for over an hour. The manager was absolutely lovely - Brad. He offered to give my partner and I a lift into town after also trying to get a taxi for us which was totally above and beyond. A wonderful place, customer service like no other and brilliant food! Thankyou!

Absolutely wonderful Interior never been in a restaurant quite like it before. Both the wife and I ordered a Korean steak hanging kebab which came with onion. I love onion but the wife doesn't so asked for it to be without, they couldn't as they were pre made, fair dos, so we had it anyway and would remove them at the table when served. They were delicious, but two whole onions on one meal is overkill. For £26 I would have expected less onion and a little more meat. The sides were fantastic and flavors great tho. Just be aware of the amount of onion they use to bulk up the size. Would have been 5 star otherwise. The service was fantastic and drinks were well kept and real fresh. Lots of choice. Will go again, but won't be having an onion kebab again. The paying option was unusual. Had to use the QR code on the table with no other option. Which wasn't for me

First time I have been and it was fantastic. I was going to have the hanging kebab but went for 3 small ones and salad which was perfect. Bread and butter pudding was to kill for. Our server upstairs was a delight I'm sorry I didn't take her name l however her husband is a chef there. Will definitely be back.

Heard very good things about Hunloke Arms from friends but was extremely disappointed. Table was 30mins late. We had to find people to take our order. Order didn’t come out together (even though all from same kitchen, pizzas can come out at different times as a separate kitchen- which we were informed - but we didn’t have pizza… My food was ok (Trio of burgers) but some parts of it was cold, it’s like the parts were sat whilst the others were being made - so when they arrived they were cold. We all thought the food was nice but average fayre. I personally Will not be rushing back, which is a shame as had heard such good things.

Fantastic environment, fantastic pizza, fantastic staff!

It's just as good as it used to be. The food is nice, but the menu doesn't change much. I think it's pretty similar to what it was 4 years ago. Since covid, it's gone downhill. The drink choice pre covid was absolutely amazing, LOADS of choice. Post covid, there's 6 largers on pump and 1 ale. Being a craft ale fan, this is extremely disappointing, and as a result, I drink elsewhere now. I've raised my view, and others have done the same to which they don't seem bothered about.

Nice food, plenty of choice it can be very busy though so may be worth booking. Usually have the open steak sandwich or a pizza but tried the fish and chips this time. They were good, and would have again. Mesh bag for the lemon was a nice touch.

A brilliant birthday experience

First time visiting for my 31st, fantastic food, service, and atmosphere! Would recommend to all. You certainly get what you pay for, I shall be returning.

The blossom room upstairs is stunning but that’s where it stops. I have eaten here twice the lamb starter is really tasty. I had the stroganoff for main and it was watery and lacked meat and flavour. Thought I’d give it a go again with friends and try something else. Let’s just say every one was underwhelmed but what was really shocking was we had ordered two bao buns and they came out on one plate, said to the waitress that they were for different people and could we have them on separate plates, at that she lent over picked up a bao bum and walked round the table and put it on the other person’s plate then wandered off… needless to say after the last visit I won’t be returning any time soon.

Booked for my wife's birthday, and sat upstairs. No problem parking, and the restaurant accommodated a late change to the booking time (half hour later). The food was delicious, and the staff even brought my wife a little desert surprise out which I thought was a nice little touch. A lovely meal, served by great staff, at a reasonable price.

The staff make this place special, they go above and beyond expectations! Food and ales are really great especially the pizza! Lovely outdoor seating area and all round lovely decor.

Kept seeing the orchard restaurant advertised, so decided to go for my birthday. Absolutely lovely upstairs, food was amazing, very filling! Staff was great, they even brought me a little happy birthday ice cream out and some sweets ☺️ defo going again!

Service is so poor, literally asked if they could take our order after trying twice through qr code. To be told you can go to the bar n order. While there was plenty of staff about not doing a hella of a lot! In the time the manager (with a mask on, but happy enough to pull it down n tell other staff how happy she was at some news) was explaining that they don't do table service where we were sat, and how apologetic she was (came across more patronizing then apologetic) so no allowances, not even when your staff aren't busy, stood about eating beside the bar and even sitting on a table the manager had her laptop at. But you couldn't take our order face to face? We left and won't be back. Awful customer service tbh. Oh and the menus have got smaller, difficult to see and I have no sight problems and I struggled

Attended last night to celebrate a Friend's birthday. One friend, who is a vegetarian, placed an order just to be told they don't have the items in. This then happened again with his next choice until he finally ordered a third choice. Once the order had been placed, after the starters had come, the waitress then came over again to say his third choice was no longer available so he had to order something else. He ended up with something he didn't want and after waiting 20 minutes to get the bill and having young children with us, we just quickly paid and left. On returning home and looking at the bill, the meals my friend tried to order but couldn't were added to our final receipt. You could say this was down to us to have looked last night but we were all just wanting to leave. Tried to call today to speak with a member if staff about the situation and the phone system doesn't allow you to go directly to the location you visited. We have had to email and are awaiting them getting back to us. The food we were served wasn't enjoyable, tastless and over priced. Wouldn't recommend.

Probably the best meal out in Chesterfield. Amazing food, staff and atmosphere. I'm just glad I don't live nearby otherwise I'd be skint!

Such a beautiful place, we booked in to the Orchid room upstairs and it was just a lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing, I had the Kentucky BBQ chicken hanging kebab with Chips and garlic/spinach mushrooms, it was just so yummy! I then had mini brownie & cookie dough sticks. Definitely worth the price. Liked it that much, we're booked to come again soon for my birthday.

First time i have visited the Hunloke Arms. Outstanding best food i have had for a long time. Definitely recommend will be going back soon.

The food is fabulous so is front of house and the establishment. Bar staff on a friday night unfriendly and inattentive which is surprising, disappointing and service slow. The fabulous 'order at your table' system doesn't work.

My first time visiting to Hunlock Arms and I was super impressed. Very good food, Very good service and the Cherry Blossom decor was OUTSTANDING!! The food was very good and was very generous portions.

As good as it gets, yes it’s more pricey than your usual pub but I’d rather pay a couple quid more for a quality drink with lovely staff , a brilliant atmosphere and outstanding food , make sure to book a few weeks early for food if you want the restaurant and if u are going for drinks it can get fairly busy but the garden and terrace are really lovely in the summer

A bit expensive but, the food is amazing every time we go we get the same quality food and service, it's worth paying a bit more

We had a dinner there just before Xmas. Beautiful place with really nice food. Friendly and helpful staff.

Unfortunately we did not get to even try the food or service. We booked originally for 2 people on New Year’s Eve back in early November. Then amended the booking to 4 people 1 week later using the automated service on the website. The evening arrives and we onto the booking to double check the time (time had to be amended from 5pm to 5.15pm to cater for the extra two people when we amended.) The booking had not been amended at all, desperately looked for a number or anything to speak to somebody, only the automated service available. I was unable to speak to anybody about my issue and the automated service did not amend my original booking so our new years plans were ruined, which was a shame as my parents has travelled 3 hours to stay us specifically to go to Hunloke as my partner raved about it. I’m sure had we of been able to speak to a person when we amended or yesterday the issue could have been resolved or may at least felt heard with a sincere apology. Appalled and upset with the lack of communication on what was supposed to of been an enjoyable occasion.

We always go to The Joiners Arms (part of the same chain) and we love that. We thought we would go Hunloke and give it a try and we were not disappointed! Staff were very welcoming and loved our new daughter. We had Camembert and Pizza and they were both amazing!

Loved it. Daughters birthday treat. Lovely atmosphere. Busy but OK. Up in restaurant, food OK, went for the classics, Thai curry too sweet. , waitress obviously tired not very commicative, apart from that brill.

Our go to place for date night or day time food with the kids

Great food, large portion sizes and not particularly expensive for what you're getting. Been visiting regularly for the past couple of years, also check out the Joiners Arms if you're in Derby as it's practically the same

Food was really and the service is good too. My only criticism would be the chips which were not the greatest ( pub chips - frozen and then cooked ) but besides that all good

Food cold and had to be replaced. Waiting staff slammed drinks on table after expressing dissatisfaction with previous drinks. Pointing at us while complaining about us to another member of staff. All in all I wouldn’t go again although venue was beautifully decorated.
