Visito Dropshot todo el tiempo, después de haber estado desayunando allí prácticamente todas las mañanas durante los últimos dos años, el personal es maravilloso y me hace sentir parte de la familia, la calidad de la comida es consistentemente buena

I've had the all-day vegan breakfast at the Box Kitchen a few times now and I've been meaning to rave about it as it far and away the best vegan breakfast around - in terms of value for money and as well as quality of the food. The staff are always helpful and friendly and as a venue, it's really hard to beat! Plymouth has been waiting for somewhere as good as this for a long time, so I for one intend to remain a regular patron.

Probably the worst pub food I’ve ever eaten in my life, and I’ve had a few! Apparently, the chef had to leave at short notice, which should have sounded alarm bells, but, being typically British, we didn’t want to get up and leave having already said we wanted food! The lady behind the bar was a customer, who had only popped in for a drink, but she had a streaming cold, literally dripping from her nose, and we didn’t see her washing her hands once! We ordered two lasagnas and two cottage pies, which were probably microwave heated Tesco value meals, with tinned peas and cold chips! The only positive being, that we ended up laughing at just how terrible this experience was! In comparison, we ate at The Globe on our first night in Lostwithiel, then at Sunny Spice (Indian) the following night, both being delicious in comparison…

This afternoon my wife was fed up with me and told me that my face was tripping me up. She said she was taking me to Costa coffee in Guisborough. As soon as I walked through the door i turned my frown upside-down The staff in Costa are amazing as is the coffee. If ever I am having a bad day, I make my way to Costa even if I don't fancy coffee. My children also go in for drinks and Claire and the team always make them welcome. A five star team that go the extra mile.

We arrived at bluestone absolutely starving, this pub was the first option that came up on our Apple Maps & we literally thought let’s just give it a go. I must say I’m so glad we did, we were seated straight away, food didn’t take long, and the portion sizes were well worth the money! To top it off the food was also banging! The onions rings were 12/10, would definitely recommend.

Visited with friends on ourannual trip to St Annes. Plan was to have lunch and then have a look round the garden dept and buy a few autumn plants. Mosy outside seats were taken but several available inside. We chose the one that seemed cleanest, (can you see where I am going with this), ie, the one with only a few crumbs. We chose two small scampi and chips, an egg mayo sandwich and a 'wrap', all with garnish and/or chips. Nothing too challenging about that lot. We were told that there would be a wait of 25 minutes. This at around 1:00 pm. We waited. And we waited. We had a bit of verbal catching-up to do with our friends so it did not matter. Or at least not too much. After abot 50 minutes I went to ask about our order but could see that in the kitchen area our order was being plated- up. Drinks that had a rrived maybe4 40 minutes earlier had been long since consumed. After maybe another 5 minutes they were served to us. The lady asked who had ordered what, we told her and our respective orfers were placed in front of us. No mention of an apology or the wait or even 'enjoy your food'. Not even so much as a smile. In fact I have to say that the lady looked thoroughly p..... -off, as indeed were we. Now to the food. Our scampi's were sort of ok as were the chips. The wraps were so so. My wifes egg mayo butty lacked content. Miniscule ammount of egg was made-up by maybe too much mayo, but only in the sense of this being as a proportion of the whole. By this time there were few diners left. We opted not to have a sweet as godness knows how long we would have had to wait for this. A couple of points. 1. We were fairly certain that customers who had ordered much later than us were served much earlier. 2. There seemed to me to be to be an absence of working- to- a -common- purpose amongst the counter staff. (I used to be in staff supervision and management, though not in the catering industry I have to say). Not a good experince, and importantly, one we will not be repeating. By this point, time was moving on and wewanted to be enjoying the sea air, so no time to look round the garden section. We later had coffes and do-nuts at the pier cafe in St Annes. Pleasant and prompt service and possibly the best do-nuts I have ever had, a thoroughly pleasing experience. When I read past reviews, I notice a pretty common thread running through them. I also note that in no case have the management made a response. They certainly seem not to take any of them on board

We really recommend this pub. We came today, parked outside very easily and had our lunch, it’s great value👍🏻 it’s super clean and was lovely and warm too (heating was on!) staff were so lovely and welcoming. Food was FRESH (salad extremely fresh and crispy) we added onion rings as a side and they were fresh and hot too. Didn’t wait long for our food and staff checked everything was ok for us. Thanks so much… We will be back!

Excellent to see vegan options added finally - they have been a long time coming. I have been visiting the tea room for several years and visit a couple of times a month on average. Lovely mix and match teapots, cups, and plates. Some of the teapots could do with a slightly better clean of the spout to remove ingrained dirt but nothing too severe. An excellent selection of cakes are available. They’re mainly store bought/for-trade and you’ll see them as standard offerings in lots of cafes; there is absolutely nothing wrong with this and let’s face it, all we’re looking for is an honest slice of cake to go with our tea or coffee, not a French Patisserie experience. Lovely to have dominoes and cards available on the tables to play games and a genuinely relaxed atmosphere where you don’t feel rushed, which is rare. The Tea Rooms also have some of the space to sell product towards the back of the mill and on a couple of occasions, I have been approached very nicely and kindly by staff to offer to help or show anything I am interested in. This is quite the welcome contrast to the attitude of the staff on the till at the entrance/exit. 50p extra for oat milk is hopefully something that will become just a standard option in future, considering the £3.00 cost for a latte that is smaller in size than a Starbucks small drink, with Sbux being cheaper for the same size before the addition of the oat milk charge. Likewise, the markup on several soft drinks is more than you’ll find in motorway service stations. Inflation is impacting everyone, however, the price point of “not worth it” isn’t too far away for several customers on quite a few items (from conversations I’ve overheard over the past six months or so). I hope the tea rooms continue to thrive in the Vintage Emporium.

Astronomical prices! I called for a pint, only cider on was Somersby, it cost me £4.85 Dreadful place. No damn wonder it was empty, never again. Avoid, Wetherspoons is next door.

Do not rely on taking a dog into every Costa. The company policy is not to allow them, so after being welcomed on one occasion, on a later occasion, after already collecting our food and my partner finding a secluded table for our quiet elderly border collie, a junior member of staff was sent to ask us to leave. We're in our 70s and mind my daughter's dog because of her ME/CFS and this wasn't even a quiet surreptitious "I'm sorry..." but a loud head turning "I'm afraid you'll have to leave as you can't bring a dog in here!" I'll NEVER willingly choose to give Costa any business as a result.

Been twice now. This pub is awful. Full of the Jeremy Kyle's target demographic. On the two occasions I've been with my girlfriends for drinks the landlord (I assume it's the landlord, guy behind the bar, big beer belly, grey hair in his 70s?) is always drunk and obnoxious as are most of the customers. The place has no class whatsoever. It's dirty too. We didn't want to touch anything. Never again. Seriously, avoid it. Go literally anywhere else!
