*** Leopold road shop *** A lovely little coffee shop with friendly and helpful staff. Great coffee and cake with an interesting varied lunch menu that doesn’t disappoint ( we had both coffee & cake and then lunch a little later). Thoroughly enjoyed our experiences in this great coffee shop and the prices are very reasonable considering the area.

Stuffy unhealthy with windows literally running with condensation. Management refused to open a window or even put on the A/c to reduce the temperature. So we left and had an excellent breakfast at nearby Sabores. Wonderful food

I would love to give a five star review for this cafe. If it were just the food or the coffee, or even the venue, I would be able to give a five star review. Plus the staff are absolutely amazing and friendly, and very quick with service. However the reason for the low review is that there were customers playing music, social media, games on ipads, or having calls on their phones on speaker with the volume turned up out loud, ruining the atmosphere, and the staff did nothing about it. If the cafe had a ban on this behaviour, or the staff asked those responsible to turn their volume down, this would be an easy fix. Inconsiderate people ruin the atmosphere for everyone, and it should be the responsibility of the staff to apply these rules to improve the atmosphere and experience for all of their customers. If the staff start applying this, i'll change my review immediately to a 5 star as everything else is perfect.

The coffee is great and the cafe is lovely inside. Unfortunately the service is lacking. It was fairly busy, so had to wait a while to be served at the counter, which would be fine but no member of staff even acknowledged my presence (or the growing queue behind me). Two staff members literally stood with their backs to me for five minutes without saying anything before a much friendlier man came to the till, by which point a few people queueing behind me had already given up and left. They seem to have baristas also bringing out food from the kitchen and clearing tables which is not really working.

The service is really poor. There's no formal queue system so I waited 20 minutes only to be told another couple walked in after me and was given the next available table because "my colleague said so". The staff could be trained better on how to make people feel welcome and attended to. They were dismissive and didn't really care for me waiting. There never seems to be enough waiting staff when it is busy. The food is good but rushed, and they have a 40 minute waiting time when busy, sometimes 45. Atmosphere is nice hence 2 stars but they could really do with a revamp on their service.

Food was self service but each customer had 12.5% service charge added on. Was that busy that no one really spotted it. Typical example of taking advantage of busiest time of year. But to cap it all, full breakfast arrived late with large human hair over my egg. Clearly no real health and safety protocols in place as it was hard to miss. No real apology other than money back. Won’t go back, even in quiet season when they will rely on customers like us!

I went to Dropshot with my 1 year and half baby. Myself and my friends received food quickly after ordering it. When it arrived I asked if the waitress could have warmed my baby’s food. She said they don’t have microwave, so i asked her if she could have warmed in the oven and she said they are not allowed. Then, I asked her what food I could have ordered for a baby and she said everything would have taken 40 mins and if i was sure about ordering.. I didn’t feel very welcome, to be honest I would have expected that they could have done a little effort for a baby. Like bringing something raw or cheese bites, whatever doesn’t involve cooking if they were si busy. I would never go back and discourage anyone with a baby to go. My husband had an English breakfast and it was very ‘average’ , definitely not one of the best. Both my hash brown and his hash brown were terrible and I couldn’t finish them, they looked soggy and boiled rather than fried.

I recently visited the new Drop Shot on Leopold Road and was greeted by an extremely rude man. I was saddened that Wacka had been replaced by this chain but thought I would go in and try it out. I was wearing my AFC Wimbledon cap and he would not stop going on about it - asking why I was wearing it, who the team was (you might want to gather some local knowledge if you’re going to work in Wimbledon) that it looked weird and like a German football club. His attitude came across very arrogant and patronising and made the worst first impression. I didn’t bother ordering from this place and won’t be visiting again! There is a new pizza and coffee shop further along Leopold Road and the new owners are lovely, coffee is great and they have syrups unlike snooty Drop Shot! I would recommend going there instead!!

While this place has a great coffer, the services was absolutely appalling. We were given the table outside with a promise to be moved inside once a spot becomes available, instead were removed from the waiting list for the seat inside and had to eat our breakfast in the rain. If you enjoy your eggs benedict wet and cold, definitely the place to go.

This could be very hit and miss depending on your experience. The service was generally pretty good; however, we asked to remove the “discretionary service charge” as they had gotten an order wrong twice. The waitress called out across the room, “can we take the service charge off?” to her manager who replied “yes it is optional”. Given she was aware that the order was wrong, I don’t think us taking this off should have been questioned so publicly. On leaving, every single one of us said “thank you”, and they just looked up and completely ignored us. This really put a downer on an otherwise lovely place, and it is a shame that as a local I won’t be coming here again due to this experience. I’d recommend only visiting in groups of 2 as it is very crowded, tables all close together and only two spaces for groups of 4. A staff member was sat on the one of these tables, meaning our group instead waited for a family to leave to sit down. I really enjoyed my food, the Rafa Na-Dill. But a note on the other breakfasts - the hash browns are more like shredded potato bhajis and the baked beans I think are cannelloni beans, and they go VERY heavy on the cinnamon especially in the chutney, which might be an absolutely treat or put you off the meal entirely.

We've been here before, maybe a year ago and the experience was good, however on this occasion it was poor. We selected what we wanted from the website menu however when we arrived it was apparent that the website menu was out of date; some of our selections were not on the table menu. Two of our party selected Sausages and mash but there were no sausages so had to select something else. Three of us ordered fish & chips but bizarrely there was no vinegar available. It's the first establishment I've ever been to where you couldn't get vinegar with fish and chips. One of our party ordered a burger which was supposed to have two patties but was more like one and a half. He went to complain about it but nobody came back to us. When paying at the bar I mentioned the burger issue and the guy I was talking to went off to check with the server and he knocked this meal off the bill. I also pointed out that they had missed £60 worth of wine off the bill. He added it on to the bill but I didn't get any thanks for this. Wish I hadn't bothered now. I feel that the main issue however was the demeanour of the staff. Instead of "I'm awfully sorry we've ran out of vinegar" and maybe an explanation of why, it was "we haven't got any vinegar". It wasn't " I'm really sorry, we've had a run on the sausages and there aren't any left" or something like that, it was "we haven't got any sausages", It wasn't "we're really sorry the burger meal wasn't up to our usual standard" or something like that, it was "I've knocked it off the bill". It wasn't "oh, that's really good of you to let us know we'd missed the wine off the bill" or something like that. It was, well nothing really, it just got added to the bill. It was if having customers there was an inconvenience to the staff. There was minimal eye contact, no smiles and avoiding contact with customers as much as possible appeared evident. Wish we had gone somewhere else. We certainly won't be going again. I'm writing this in response to an email from the Nine Elms Tavern saying that my option matters. It will be interesting to see what, if any, response I get to this.

I have used this cafe for many years and since the proprietor Ali left it seems to have lost it’s way as on a number of occasions they are advertising dishes on their menu which they no longer prepare or have the ingredients for, therefor they need to update the menu to reflect what is currently available. I have also noticed that the sauce bottles they use have broken lids and could potentially be unhygienic.. A tweak here and there would benefit.

Here just for drinks while we waited to check in to Premier Inn just round the corner. Service was okay and coffee okay. Seems to be a café /coffee shop to bring your gadgets and look at your screen. Depends upon your point of view whether that is good, bad or indifferent.
