Bill's Restaurant in Wandsworth

A lovely lunch firstly Sharing a Bill’s platter which was beautifully presented and tasty. My daughter and I both had steak which was cooked as we had asked. Vegetables were ordered separately which made it more expensive than it initially looked but all well cooked and presented. My husband had he pan fried chicken with wild mushroom sauce which was again well presented and tasty. The fact that Bill’s give a discount for BlueLightCard was an added bonus to a lovely meal - we were too full to sample desserts!

Had breakfast with my daughter Service was prompt friendly and attentive Good was fresh well presented and well priced The standout thing I noticed was that for a cafe of eclectic clutter which looked great and tastefully done it was spotless. Well done!

We really enjoyed our lunch here - burger and glow bowl. Good friendly service. We just should have been more careful to realize they already included 12.5% on the bill. (We also left tip for waitress directly.) No wonder we left thinking it was expensive.

Después de tener una experiencia extraña en un Bills en Liverpool, volví a visitar mi local por un capricho y fue brillante. Northcote Road parece estar revolviendo la tendencia de alguna manera con los temores de la muerte de High Street. Me encanta como local, así que, por favor, otros gastan algunos de sus centavos duramente ganados y mantengan como son.Yo recomendaría Bills, especialmente el medio pollo asado.

Four of us went there for supper. Fast and friendly service. OMG...The ribs were divine!! and quite a healthy portion, with coleslaw and french fries, I could not finish. Melt-in-the-mouth and just the right amount of spicy kick. Calamares very nice too. Friends enjoyed meat, prawn risotto and vegetarian wellington with a few cocktails and a bottle of prosecco between the four of us. The bill came to just over £168.00

Service was top notch thank you. Fast and responsive. Food was good too. Restaurant not that crowded so it was easy to hear each other talk. Prices reasonable for the area. Easygoing vibe

Fantastic and friendly service from all the team that managed our order. Sophia could not have been more welcoming especially to our baby. I totally recommend visiting if you have a young family for a stress free and enjoyable lunch. Wonderful service.

We have been to Bills northcote road a couple of times for breakfast and it a been fine. Good basic food. So we thought we would take the children for lunch. WHAT A MISTAKE.

the service was foul asf i’m so disappointing. the egg wasn’t good the yolk wasn’t runny, it was crusty and dry like the service. bread was £3.50 for two slices pisstake. smhhhh. tha pancakes were burnt and the orders were messed up. very disappointed

I had a lovely Christmas Eve here. Food was delicious, staff were great - incredibly accommodating and made us feel very welcome. I’d love to come back here soon!

Reservé una mesa, pero la única disponible estaba justo al lado de la puerta en un día de congelación. Nos dijeron que nos trasladarían cuando otra mesa estuviera disponible, pero nunca sucedió. La comida estaba bien, pero se enfrió de inmediato porque la puerta seguía abriéndose. Creo que el restaurante debería considerar la calefacción adicional en la parte frontal del restaurante, tal vez calefacción por encima o por debajo del suelo. Me dijeron por teléfono que recibiríamos una bebida gratis por usar un jersey de Navidad, pero eso tampoco sucedió. El servicio no fue bueno hoy. Una experiencia decepcionante y nos hubiera gustado haber ido a otro lugar, no nos quedamos para los postres que habríamos hecho y no volveremos otra vez.

Went in for lunch on a busy Saturday - they were attentive and happy for us to sit at the table (ordering) for hours. Staff are lovely.

We like the menu at Bills as its varied and the food is good quality, which I'm sure is the same in all Bill's restaurants. What makes this one so good is the people who work here. Always happy and informative and helpful.

Visited Saturday for brunch. They were very busy and the place was buzzing. Had to wait a for a table but not for very long. Whilst we waited we were treated to a smoothie which we thought was a great touch. We were escorted to our table by the manager who was super friendly. We both enjoyed our garden breakfasts. It was very fresh and different. 10 out of 10

Visited for first time. Food was fairly reasonably priced and very tasty. Server was pleasant and attentive opted for Mac'n Cheese which was tasty well presented. Other option was a mains portion of Ham Hock starter which was no problem. Unfortunately the poached egg was hard, after raising our concern the waiter quickly returned with two freshly prepared runny poached eggs. Thank you.

Absolutamente delicioso, es una pena que no estaba con la compañía para una noche larga ya que es demasiado bueno para no compartirlo. Hamburger have average taste, but are pretty small. Prices are for huge hamburgers instead. Nice chips, cosy atmosphere. Wouldn't go back again.

Came here with my brother and his family. Had ham hock with peas for starters and crispy cod burger, which were delicious. However one of the waitresses wasn't very good. Keep asking what the dessert orders were and bought the dessert order too early (while we were still eating the main course) and then too late (after we finished our mains). The other waitress that was there took over and was much better.

I ate there today with my friend and my grandaughter. The service was terrific and very friendly and the food was absolutely filthy! Unripe avocado - what tasted like tinned mushrooms (although I was assured that they were fresh) which seemed to have been covered with sugar - 2 poached eggs which were hard and bread underneath that was covered in some disgusting orange stuff which was utterly inedible. My grandaughter ate all her food which was good value and looked a great deal better than ours and my friend left most of her food. Never again!!!!!!

Recently had a great family lunch at Bill’s,Battersea (Northcote Road). They happily accommodated our mixed party of adults + 2 toddlers and Marta and Lucy particularly deserve complimenting for their happy and professional service on a very busy afternoon. Our party thoroughly enjoyed their mains which included meat, fish, pasta and veggie dishes. All were hot, well presented and full of flavour. The desserts too all delighted us. I will certainly visit Bill’s again for a future family get together.

I ordered a glass of Sauvignon and pointed to the one I wanted. I was then served. When the bill came I saw that I was charged £7.50 for one glass. He had served me the most expensive one and one that I did not request.

A group of us visited Bill's last Saturday for brunch and although only reserving a table the day before for 6 of us we were lucky to get one and upon our request we were positioned in a quieter area at the back which was great as we had a small baby with us. This was really kind of them and I appreciate how accommodating they were at the last minute.

Visited by chance having wandered the Northcote road. Great interior, staff friendly and attentive yet not too much. Delicious menu with several choices including vegetarian. All 4 of us ordered something different and were all impressed. One tip if you order a pot of tea it's huge and can definitely serve more than one. All round enjoyable and would recommend.

Un ristorantino molto carino e dall'ambiente accogliente. Una cucina fantasiosa ma non pretenziosa. Ingredienti per una serata piacevole gustando piatti leggeri e genuini. Ho provato i filetti di branzino fritti con Guacamole, veramente squisiti. Trattamento molto professionale e prezzi non troppo sopra la media.

Stayed near here for the weekend and visited for breakfast both days, I would say the best breakfast I've ever had, nice freindly staff and excellent menu.

We went there with my son during a shopping trip. We weren't rushed (the service could be described as a bit slow) but the place was full on a (bank holiday) Sunday, which said a lot about the quality of food (other restaurants on the same road were empty). I had the fish pie, my wife had a Thai Green Curry and our son had an open stake sandwich. All the meals were very tasty. We also had pudding (apple and rhubarb crumble, warm chocolate brownie and a chocolate pudding)

Really nice spot for breakfast or lunch. Nice choice of item served in a relaxed atmosphere. Love the pots of tea , you get plenty and the scrambled eggs also sort a mention. Not the cheapest but in my opinion worth it

I visited this restaurant yesterday for a planned catch up with a couple of friends, one that was on a brief business trip from abroadI thought for a great reliable breakfast then Bill's would be a sure fire bet!Sadly I was to be left disappointed. My two friends ordered eggs benedict however on a chance flip of one of the muffins we were shocked to see that it was covered in mould! This was a shock as this was the last one to be eaten and three already had been consumed! Thankfully there's not been any long term affect to thisI had the bills breakfast. With added black pudding that was dry and solid and only just edible. Plus the tomato was crushed beyond recognitionI used to like Bill's. I won't be visiting again

Nothing was too much trouble...even when my little boy dragged my glass off the table and onto the floor!!I would highly recommend this local restaurant for a great lunch/Brunch.Unfortunately I watched very rude customers treat the staff very badly despite their excellent customer service.....and yet the staff were still polite and courteous .... impressive all round. We will definitely go back

Went for lunch today, restaurant was quiet but we waited in he entrance to be seated. There were 3 members of staff walking around but not one of us approached us to seat us nor acknowledge we were there. We waited a few mins then left and went to cote. I'm writing a review as last time we visited in November last year we ordered breakfasts and tea. The breakfasts arrived but no tea. I chased it up with he waitress but still no tea. I could see a pot of tea on the service counter but the waiter was just leaning over it chatting to his colleague. I asked if it might be ours and if so could he bring it over sooner rather than later. Poor service once can be a bad day but twice is not cool...

I ordered this for the first time the other night and disappointed I had only just discovered it. Served in a brioche bun with tasty slaw oozing out of it. The sweet potato fries are also a winner.

Had brunch at Bills in Clapham Junction. It was terrible. I ordered the big breakfast. The bacon was like leather and inedible, one over fried egg on three pieces of soggy toast, a teaspoonful of mushroom and two halves of cold fried tomatoes. They still have a policy of not sharing tips with staff. We asked for the tip to be taken off the bill and we paid our waiter cash. Not going back. The family agreed.

... we nearly missed out as we did not have a booking, and in the lead-up to Christmas this place was very busy. However, we appreciated the efforts of staff to accommodate us. The "full house" encouraged us to try and get a table, and now we know why. The food was great; the ambience was relaxed. The venison pudding was delicious. We had seen Bill's restaurants around London, but had never bothered to eat there. Next time we will.

The decor is really lovely and cosy. Staff is friendly. We have been several times and have always had good service. Food is good, not great. Bit hit and miss. Overall nice but service and decor make up for slightly average dining.

Went here on a Saturday, having booked for 8 people, including two young boys and a baby. It was full, but the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. The smoothies and fruit drinks were excellent. Most of us had Bills breakfast, which was extremely good, including the baked beans and black pudding. Serving time was short, so no hanging around. A very buzzy place and no problem accommodating a large group, if you book in advance.

Had an early dinner at Bill's with some friends: good service and good food. We all had burgers and dessert and really enjoyed our meal.

We had lunch here, they have a very good set menu. Well worth a try, great service and great food. Don't be put off because it looks small when your walking past but it goes quite far back.

I promised to return and it was well worth it. Great Sunday brunch to round off a holiday before heading back to work. Good menu and great location.

Went here for the first time, but have had a meal at Bill's Eastbourne a couple of months ago, so was excited to have another great meal. The restaurant was almost empty & the waitress was lovely but still seemed to be in a hurry to get us going on everything. We ordered cocktails which were fab & brought quickly. I ordered the interesting sounding crab & falafel doughnuts - all I can say is it's just falafel with a smidge of chilli sauce on served on an extremely sad looking bit of wilted green leaf. If I hadn't been so hungry I would have complained about the leafs they really looked like they'd been on the plate all day in the heat. Hubby had chicken liver parfait - it was clearly just out of the fridge but that made it really difficult to spread on the rock hard bread that came with it. Quite tasty but nothing special. For mains I had the steak egg & chips hubby had the ribs & chips. The fried eggs were perfectly cooked, the steak which I had ordered as medium was well done & was sat on top of most of the chips making them soggy. The ribs were advertised as coming with coleslaw, we had to search for it - a tiny little teaspoon full on the side of the plate. Ribs were fine chips were underwhelming. The waitress was hovering quite a lot of the time which given that the restaurant was filling up became a bit annoying. Can't say I'll be going back in a hurry. There's so much competition in the area they'll need to up their game to stay there.

Very busy and a quick turnover, it was clear the waitresses were eager to move us quickly through our meal, but when we made it clear that we were there for a longer more leisurely meal and catch up, they were very understanding. Brunch menu was good - not exceptional though. Lemon meringue pie in a glass was surprisingly good - hit the spot with lemon curd and ice cream topped with soft Italian meringue

A quick cup of tea at the end of an afternoon shopping in the sun. Lovely Earl Grey tea, but another time I shall go back to eat as the menu looked really good, and our neighbours commented that they had just eaten a lovely meal - recommended the sea bass.

3 of us came for lunch one Sunday. We all chose one of the specials which was chicken satay and we were not disappointed with our meals. It was delicious! The food came quickly and looked and tasted fabulous, I particularly liked the coleslaw which came with it, really tasty. The waitress was friendly and efficient and couldn't have been more helpful.

I can't comment on the food because sadly we didn't even get that far! Arrived on a Sunday excited for a delicious breakfast / brunch. Instead we were brusquely told that the place was packed 'come back in 20 minutes'. We popped our name down to reserve a table and came back 20 minutes later. We were then made to wait a further 10 minutes and finally allowed in. By this time all the breakfast menus had been put away. I asked whether breakfast would still be served "No, the chefs have put away all the breakfast stuff." replied the manager. I responded asking whether they might be able to make an exception and get out 'the breakfast stuff' because we had arrived in time for breakfast but had just been made to wait for so long. The manager simply replied no and walked off. So we walked out. There was an odd vibe as if we should have been grateful just for getting a table. Won't be going back to see whether the breakfasts would have been worth it. I suspect not. Would do well to make customers feel more welcome and valued.

Super petit déjeuner, nous avons pris des pancakes, du pain perdu au beurre d'amande et des déjeuner Vegan. Tout le monde a été conquis, les enfants et nous même avons adorés.

I'm not one to write reviews but I have to say my expectations were exceeded last night at bills. A friend and I came in for dinner and were asking questions and suggestions from the menu which our waitress was more then happy to oblige. We had the crumbed halloumi and scallops to start followed by the roasted cod and lamb burger. All the foods presentation and taste was amazing ! Our waitress was Alescia from Canada. She really went out of her way for us and is an absolute pleasure! It's been a long time I've been impressed by a waiting staffs contribution to creating an experience. Will be stopping by to say hello to this young lady again !

4 stars for the interior, but 1 for food. We had duck pie, BBQ back ribs, fish fingers and aspergus bruschetta. Never again.

I came for dinner with my girlfriend last weekend, the food was delicious and Veronica's service as well.

We’ve had a great time at Bill’s with my girlfriend last night. I’ve never been to this particular Bill’s before but can definitely recommend it. The restaurant feels cosy, friendly and non-pretentious. Both halloumi burger and BBQ ribs have lived up to their expectations. The staff has been super nice, especially Veronica, and made us feel special. Really worth it!

What can i say, seeing Bill's on every corner I had high expectations but all I can say is food is average, restaurant is nice and cosy, staff also nice but the wow factor is missing...I had a steak which was ok.Overall, nice place but I will rather try something else next time...

This is one of our favourite local places for week-end lunch or dinner but when we tried to get in for Saturday lunch we were sternly rebuked at the door by a very rude young waiter saying that the place was nearly fully booked and as we had a pram there was no space for us... Quite shocked to hear that in our normally very child friendly neighbourhood...Well, with so many nice restaurants in the street we will give our custom to nicer people...

Booked Bill's in Battersea, London for a group christmas dinner and drinks with friends. Very pleased with everything. Meal, venue and service was all very good. Would definitely book again for a group meal. My only complaint would be when the bill came. Had to query and send back for re-calculation more than once for mistakes/overcharging... maybe computer error but was a little disappointing after having such a great evening. Apart from that, all in all a good evening spent with some tasty hearty food and service great.

It's the second time I have lunch in this Restaurant chain and I need to say that it's always a pleasure to eat in. I ordered an halloumi and hummus (served as a burger), it was delicious, I love all their food!!! A warm atmosphere and a kind and nice staff surround the lovely situation.For sure I suggest it to everybody who loves places where details make the difference.

My wife and I had a late lunch this afternoon. It is the 3rd time we come here but only 1st time to have our lunch (2x for a breakfast)My wife ordered a buttery chicken burger, which looks very appealing and I ordered the "special" FISH CURRY with COD & PRAWNS with RICE and sourdough bread and extra stem broccoli on the sideWhen my plate arrived I have noticed something wrong : i was literally searching for the FISH! There is 2 Prawns in the plates, loads of Curry sauce and only found a small piece of Fish a size of £1 coin!!!!I have asked the manager to have a look at my plate and she did apologised and went back to the kitchen to ask for more fish!I have waited an extra 10mins and when the plate came back.....I have found 2 extras Prawns and a tiny extra piece of Fish!After few seconds I decided to start eating even though I was so dissapointed ....but I have to stop after few bites as I have found a spaghetti swimming in the curry sauce! What a spaghetti is doing in a fish curry rice! Look at the picture I have posted.I did not finished my plate and was really really dissapointed. The manager came to see us and had a chat with her.It is not her fault at all she did her job and was really nice to us! She felt really bad seeing that I did not finished my food and embarrassed with the sight of the spaghetti inside!She did offered us dessert but because we didn't want to eat after this we did not accepted her offer, but she insisted and she offered us one of their product : black chocolate truffle I did said to her that the CHEF should look at the plate he is sending and if he believes that this could be called FISH CURRY while there is a tiny tiny piece of fish inside and if he believes this deserved to cost £11.90???It is annoying to have some Chefs thinking they are alway right about what they are serving! I am the one who is eating his plate and if I am not satisfied of this he should be listening and trying to get the things right! But by sending me another plate and adding just 2 prawns inside plus a spaghetti I just felt is he kidding me????Anyway this review is not against the staff or against the service as I have said there is a lovely manager there who tried and did her best for us but I wanted to drop this review as a complain really against a poor chef!

There was a great atmosphere in Bill's last night. We were just having a wonder and my girlfriend recognised the game so we went in. It was a Saturday night at peak, but they managed to sit us. There is a really good production value to the whole joint, from dried chillies hanging from the ceiling, to a 'shopping list' menu on a brown paper bag. Food was good, and a decent selection of beers. I had lamb koftas. There was a problem with the kitchen and our food took ages to arrive, but the waitress was apologetic and communicative. When my girlfriend didn't eat much of her main (due to not being hungry), the waitress refunded it on our bill without making a song-and-dance about it. I also hear the 12.5% tip added to the bill goes directly to the waiting staff. Would return!

This place was a walking distance from where we stayed in London and turned out to be an excellent choice for breakfast. All of us, including kids (7 and 10 y.o.), really enjoyed their food. It was not cheap, but the size and the quality of food was excellent. The service was very friendly too.

When Bill's opened (last year?) I thought it was an independent so was really surprised to see they have over 60 branches! Well I must say for a one of a chain they certainly come across as a friendly local. We've only been the once but will definitely be going back. The food's nothing out of the ordinary but interesting enough and well presented. The atmosphere was great and the staff all really friendly and helpful.

Great for a cosy date night - or for drinks and a gossip with the girls. I go there almost once a week now. Cleanliness = 5 out of 5. Lovely toilets and facilities. All in all - a great find. Exactly what you want in a restaurant. Thank you :)

Great service, great atmosphere, good music. Good offers for meeting after work and eating early but you aren't hurried out either. It was my friend's birthday celebration and they put us on a round table which I love as they are more sociable, gave her a free cocktail and a little birthday freebie present. I go to one nearer home usually but this one suits for meeting certain friends - I will be back!

2 course dinner before 7pm- great deal, lovely food, great location, friendly staff. I will defiantly go back

Les serveurs sont très sympas, l'accueil est chaleureux. Pas mal de choix sur la carte surtout pour le petit déjeuner. Les prix sont corrects pour le quartier et le rapport qualité/prix est bon. J ai pris un burger poulet mariné au guacamole et chorizo, pas mal du tout!

Perhaps it was because of my cute companion but the service was great. Very personal, fast and friendly. We went there for brunch and the menu options were sufficient. Shame they don't do more fresh juices / smoothies, though. We just had the bread basket, juice and tea. If it was just for the food I wouldn't go back, there are too many alternatives on Northcote Rd. but my son had a great time so on that basis ... See you next time

I think you can always tell by the menus what your evening might be like; these were tatty stained card with a couple of unexplained paper bags chucked on the table to entice the children to buy sweets. Not a great start. We took the Mezze 'Butchers Board' which although nicely presented, was lacking in every way. Two sausages, two chicken skewers and a chicken parfait, deep fried nachos (ick) and a flat bread and some dips which could all have been purchased from Sainsburys. All OK, but nothing I couldn't have done at home (and that's saying something).Ditto the main, steaks were OK, peppercorn sauce thin and tasteless, fish pie gloopy and dull, chicken Caesar mainly lettuce.Desert was rather the same, could have been purchased from Sainsburys and re-heated on site. Our server was clearly rushed although very pleasant and patient but when we asked for the bill from a different server (possibly the restaurant manager?) she was barely courteous. Odd given the restaurant was only at half capacity.They had a good selection of boutique beers and good wine - the best part was the wine - but overpriced. For £155 for four, three courses (inc wine and 2 x beers) I thought it expensive for what was a VERY mediocre meal. We paid the bill and left a tip for the original server, so adequate is the best I can go. We won't return.

Coming from Brighton and a frequent visitor at the original Lewes branch of Bill's, it used to be unbelievably wonderful. I'm afraid to say, and rather inevitably—it is no where near as good these days. Of course I still enjoy it, the food isn't bad, but things have gone downhill.

After looking forward to pancakes all week, my friend and I bounced into Bills on Sunday morning. Our waitress was miserable and while our food came quickly we felt as miserable as the waitress once we'd tasted it. Three small, oddly savoury pancakes with some chopped fruit and not enough maple syrup (we had to ask for more). Once we'd eaten we had to fight for the bill while listening to the table next to us send back their cold food. Next time we'll be making the short walk to Ben's Canteen for better pancakes and service.

Bill's is a great, casual eatery... extensive menu, very friendly service. Food was well presented and very good. It's a fun place, not one for a fine dining experience but if you want a great atmosphere, good selection, very good food, service and good value for money, this is your place!

Maybe we had come at a bad time but when my friend and I stopped by Bills on Northcote Road on a Sunday afternoon, we didn't feel especially welcome. Granted we weren't buying food, only coffees but it wasn't like the restaurant was that busy and we were taking up precious space. However, we managed to get a nice table by front which was opened onto the road and the drinks we had were nice and not a terrible price for the area. But I wouldn't hurry back to Bills for coffees or food in future.

My Best friend was down from Scotland so I booked us a table on line for a friday night. I did the booking on Thursday and it was really straight forward. I also made a request for gluten free and was interested to see what would happen when we arrived.The staff were so nice and very welcoming and without prompt gave us the entire allergen list to compliment the menu so we could make a good gluten free choice.Rissotto and burger were ordered and both utterly sublime! Limited range of cocktails but the Gin was very refreshing, we ordered dessert just so we could have more cocktails.Definitely go here, or another of the chain, again. Good atmosphere, good staff and good food.

Have been a few times. The service has always been great. The menu is varied and the food is always good.Only criticism - the burger is not good.

I went with my girlfriend on a Friday night. We ordered an haloumi burger and a cheese burger. The halloumi really liked to my girlfriend but mine had such a dry and horrible bread that really left me puzzled...so easy to get some fresh bread, so easy to waste a good burger! The atmosphere is nice but if you go for eat I would not recommend it.

Went here for lunch today at Northcote Rd.When we walked in no one took any notice of us, there was no sign to say please wait to be seated and no reserved signs on the table.So we sat down at a table in the back section.A man came up to us and we asked if we could have another menu.He went away and then came back with no menu and informed us that ALL the tables at the back were reserved.When I queried this he reiterated this and then said we should have waited to be seated.So we left.Maybe we didn't measure up to the yummy mummies we saw there.Won't go back for another round of rudeness.

We met for a few drinks in Clapham Junction and wandered along Northcote Road looking and all the restaurants and ended up here as it was one of the few that were busy and it looked different. Had the House red @£14,95 which was good to drink.Fished with Cheese board (replaced the blue cheese for an extra piece of brie) however cheese was cold so could not benefit from the flavour. Good size glasses of port helped wash that down.Polish Waitress Anya was very good and sense of humour. Did not get name of other waitress (white glasses) but she was also very nice.Will go back and try one of the other branches around London.

Lovely place, great staff but the burger was shocking. Must change meat supplier. The meat was so dense and terrible. So easy to make a lovely burger and this was a huge dissapointment.
