Visited with friends on ourannual trip to St Annes. Plan was to have lunch and then have a look round the garden dept and buy a few autumn plants. Mosy outside seats were taken but several available inside. We chose the one that seemed cleanest, (can you see where I am going with this), ie, the one with only a few crumbs. We chose two small scampi and chips, an egg mayo sandwich and a 'wrap', all with garnish and/or chips. Nothing too challenging about that lot. We were told that there would be a wait of 25 minutes. This at around 1:00 pm. We waited. And we waited. We had a bit of verbal catching-up to do with our friends so it did not matter. Or at least not too much. After abot 50 minutes I went to ask about our order but could see that in the kitchen area our order was being plated- up. Drinks that had a rrived maybe4 40 minutes earlier had been long since consumed. After maybe another 5 minutes they were served to us. The lady asked who had ordered what, we told her and our respective orfers were placed in front of us. No mention of an apology or the wait or even 'enjoy your food'. Not even so much as a smile. In fact I have to say that the lady looked thoroughly p..... -off, as indeed were we. Now to the food. Our scampi's were sort of ok as were the chips. The wraps were so so. My wifes egg mayo butty lacked content. Miniscule ammount of egg was made-up by maybe too much mayo, but only in the sense of this being as a proportion of the whole. By this time there were few diners left. We opted not to have a sweet as godness knows how long we would have had to wait for this. A couple of points. 1. We were fairly certain that customers who had ordered much later than us were served much earlier. 2. There seemed to me to be to be an absence of working- to- a -common- purpose amongst the counter staff. (I used to be in staff supervision and management, though not in the catering industry I have to say). Not a good experince, and importantly, one we will not be repeating. By this point, time was moving on and wewanted to be enjoying the sea air, so no time to look round the garden section. We later had coffes and do-nuts at the pier cafe in St Annes. Pleasant and prompt service and possibly the best do-nuts I have ever had, a thoroughly pleasing experience. When I read past reviews, I notice a pretty common thread running through them. I also note that in no case have the management made a response. They certainly seem not to take any of them on board

I took my 3 year old grandson for breakfast with Santa today at the Bistro at Lytham St Annes Garden centre. What a magical experience for him and me- I cannot praise the manager Janos highly enough- a delicious breakfast - we collected reindeer food, decorated cookies, hunted for reindeer and met Santa who spent ages with the kids and read them a story and joined in all the fun. Also a fabulous gift and a personalised card. I will be back next year and would highly recommend this fantastic staff.

It has been a couple of years since I was last at this garden centre. Surprised to find that it has been bought out by a large garden centre chain British Garden Centres. The corporate machine has taken over and not in a good way. Used to love coming here for a snack in the cafe and have a bimble around, always nice things to buy and a pleasant atmosphere in the cafe with lovely friendly staff and honest prices. The new regime is now here - new staff, new uniform and untrained. Please teach your staff in the cafe how to make coffee as they don't know what they are doing. Explain what a flat white coffee is and when the customer wants an extra coffee shot you put it in the cup and not pour it away as they have paid for it!!! Not as good as it used to be - the corporate chain of change. Such a shame.

My daughter and I visited the bistro in Treebaron Garden centre today. It had just gone 3pm and we were sternly told that “food had stopped” but she would “see if they could make us a sandwich” which they reluctantly agreed to do. (There are no opening times anywhere and we asked a member of staff in the garden centre what time it was open until and were told 4.30pm) My baguette arrived burnt but I decided it wasn’t worth the fuss to complain. All of the staff were completely miserable and each time a customer walked through the door (it was 3.25pm at this point) they were sternly told they had to sit outside as they closed at 4.30pm??! And that they could only order coffee/tea at this point. Now I counted a MINIMUM of 7 staff, and the Bistro isn’t big at all, so why do they need to be closed for an hour to clean up and stop food 1.5 hours before they close?? I’ve worked in cafes in my younger years and I’ve NEVER known this, if anything we stayed late! Now, all of this aside, and my main reason for this review is this. An elderly lady came into the bistro at 3.30pm and was helped from her wheelchair into a chair. The staff watched her struggle and then loudly shouted “you can’t sit there you need to sit outside” and made her struggle back into her wheelchair and sit in the COLD when they didn’t even close for an HOUR. My daughter said “why when you don’t even close for an hour” and she was ignored. I said “I’ve never seen anything like it, absolutely appalling” and the waitress just looked at me with a disgusting look on her face and shook her head. We decided to leave as we’d seen enough and it had completely ruined our meal anyway. On leaving we asked to speak to the manager of Treebaron who, although agreeing with us didn’t seem to really care and just said he’d “have a word” Now, I was raised to not only treat my elders with respect and dignity but I’ve also enough life/work experience to know that is not how you treat customers. It really isn’t good enough. I’ve visited Treebaron since I was a baby with my Nan, I treasure those memories and all of the staff in Treebaron itself are amazing and lovely…I remember a few even from being a child! But the staff in the bistro completely let the place down and ruined what was a rare and special day out for my daughter and I (were both so busy!) I will definitely return to Treebaron but never the bistro. Which is a shame as it used to be lovely. I noticed they were advertising for staff, I suggest the manager chooses more wisely this time.

Took our 94yr old mum for her birthday lunch today. On arrival we were told there was a 30 minute delay, that was ok we had coffee while we waited. Tried to order but everything we asked for seemed to be off the menu so it took a while to get something we wanted. There was a long wait and the table next to us waited over an hour before they went and asked where theirs was and eventually it came. So we waited just over an hour after ordering which was nearly 2 hours since we arrived only to be told by a very rude lady that she hadn't had our order even though it was at the till, and that the kitchen was now closed !!!!!! Asked if that meant we wouldn't be getting our meal and we're told no. She did eventually offer us a free meal next time I asked if we could have it in writing she sent someone to get paper, she carried on serving people . After another 10 minutes she saw us stand up to leave and rushed out said she was just coming we decided we had waited long enough and were going after all how much good was a 94th birthday meal any good when not on her birthday. We have been regular customers here and it was not the first time this lady has been rude. We will never return again and would not recommend

I have only recently started to come out of my house having been shielding for the last few months . Biting the bullet I went to trebanon garden centre knowing there was ample space to keep my distance from others . Seeing the cafe wasn't over busy we decided to stop for coffee and a snack . The only way I can describe the experience is outstanding. We were asked to use hand sanitizer then shown the way to the seating are via a one-way circuit . The service was table service which was prompt . The whole thing is over seen by what I can only assume is the manager . The one way system and smooth running would put most Sargent major's to shame . If anyone needs advice on how to run a business during covid go to this place to seek advice . I would recommend this place to anyone

Haven’t been in for a while due to the pandemic but we went for breakfast yesterday and it was wonderful. They really have taken great measures to make sure they are operating safely. One way system, member of staff on the door with hand sanitiser, they now take the order at the table and allow you to pay at the table if using card. Tables very well spaced out and the outdoor space has been extended. All tables are sanitised and a sign placed on it showing this. Food is wonderful and the staff are really friendly

The surroundings in the middle of the Garden centre aren’t great and you feel very closed in.There isn’t very much choice of breakfast coffee shops in st Anne’s with the cafe at the end of the pier being closed ( our preferred choice for breakfast) , So met at the garden centre . The staff are ok and limited choice of breakfasts - The group had full breakfasts and bacon sandwiches cooked as requested . Reasonably priced and ok for what it is . On holiday and decided to visit for Xmas displays - what a find. Left to wander through coloured tree decorations I can’t find the likes of in Coventry. Reasonable prices needed to acquire a basket. Visited the cafe for coffee and hubby came back with 2 mince pies and Brandy butter, those little homemade mince pies not mass produced. I’ m still raving about that mince pie - gorgeous and only 75p each. The coffee was good and cafe clean, warm and airy feel.

They say things happen in threes. We stopped here to kick start our holiday and I ordered the ‘Bay Tree Burger’ . I asked for it fully plain, no relish, coleslaw , onions and to place salad on the side. 1. It comes out with onions on. 2. Second time around it comes out with no salad. 3. The burger was fully pink in the middle. We took it back and they just gave us a refund. No health and safety, probing or organisation. Terrible. Will be sending an official complaint to the local government.

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday finding much as it usually is - busy. We like going here as you can take your dog into the garden centre and the bistro has a seating area where you can sit with your dog. A good varied menu saw us ordering a couple of rounds of sandwiches and a portion of chips. The sandwiches arrived of good quality and excellent quantity. The chips weren’t that good in so much we must have got the end of the bag (frozen?) and I guess the longest chip couldn’t have been longer than an inch or so. That said we ate them! All washed down with two good cups of tea we will certainly return. All staff were friendly attentive and helpful.

My partner and I visit regularly - usually weekly through the winter months. Bay Tree Bistro is arguably the best garden centre based cafe on the Fylde Coast - and we have tried them all. The garden centre itself has truly amazing and inspiring Christmas displays equalling those of much larger venues and in fact beating many. Bistro staff are always friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is good as it's often busy even on quieter weekdays. Coffee and cake here is consistently excellent and portion sizes are generous. Inside is pleasant and well decorated with a choice of dining chairs or tub chairs. Sit 'outside' in the covered area for that Parisien feel on the doorstep of Marton Moss!

Visited after a heavy night drinking service was slow and confused ordered milky coffees which turned out to be just coffee with a splash of milk which didn't arrive until part way through the breakfast after asking for them again, both breakfasts were served on baking trays which was not the worst thing in the world but slightly unusual, 2 of the 3 staff seemed lovely and the food was slow to arrive but was piping hot apart from the toast I think that had been cooked on the radiator. All in all not the best we've had in Blackpool but certainly not the worst.

Found this cafe on side street in Blackpool. Absolutely delicious meals and reasonable prices. Staff were kind too.

We arrived late on but the bouncers were so helpful! Covid restrictions followed and we were welcomed by Todd. He was so lovely and really made us want to stay. He was so knowledgeable with drinks and made us feel so comfortable. All the bar staff were lovely to be honest. First time visiting Blackpool and definitely the best bar we have been in. This bar slime makes us want to return! Thank you Todd and team x

We took our 10 year old grandson to Blackpool for the day. The weather was decent and early evening we were sitting outside a bar near North Pier when it suddenly started raining heavily. (It came as a surprise). We needed to eat so went in the Dusk Bar as it was very close by. It had a disco, but being early evening there were few customers, when we arrived. We had Tapas dishes and a pizza. The atmosphere was good, the food really tasty and quite reasonably priced. The staff looked after us really well.

Terrible service 17 for bottomless brunch and not enough staff waiting 20 to 40 minutes for drinks, definitely will not go again.
