Been waiting for my order nearly 20 minutes, I'm walking on stick after stroke, my dad order my coffee and sandwich before he left to work he asked the lady a favour if she could bring it to my table my coffee ☕️ unfortunately the random lady tap my shoulder to take my coffee so I stand up with my stick, one customer probably noticed that I'm unbalanced she let me 💺 down and brought the coffee on my table thank you to the lady , unfortunately my coffee was so cold but drank it quickly and slowly walkout called taxi to take me home feeling very disappointed for the first time. Costa has been my fav coffee shop since from uni , after work and before and after my stroke. It just happened at Costa Guisborough never happened before in any other places of Costa coffe shop.

The Costa Coffee Shop in Guisborough must be one of the very best in the country. All of the staff in there are absolutely superb without exception. They take the time to get to know you and are always super friendly and welcoming. An absolute credit to Costa 😊👏👏😇

The Costa Coffee in Guisborough is a roomy, clean and smart branch of the chain. Service was good, as were our coffees. And when it comes to reviewing coffee shops there’s not really much to add.

The same reliable coffee, food and service. Things feel as though they are getting back to normal. They are following all the COVID protocols

Popped in today with my little boy lovely service, cosy atmosphere, props coffee shop a lovely oun man operating coffee machine , coffee spot on and friendly service and a brilliant server claire behind the counter . Made our visit happy lovely customer service. Very professional and caring well done . Michelle :)

Called in for refreshments with hubby and son. Only one table left which was dirty. Asked for it to be cleaned which they promptly did. Hubby placed tray of drinks on the table so went to pour my tea until I saw the state of the cup. Marks and stains inside and large dirty drink mark resembling residue from where previous users have drank from. Asked for a clean one and was given one without a second glance to check it from the guy serving. Got half way back and realised this was just as bad. Gave up after that. I did spot a little older couple sat next to us drinking their tea from take out cups. Can see why now. I will do this if I ever come back. Although I will probably go back to neros next time as I've never had a dirty cup there once let alone twice. Come on Costa need to clean up ur act!!!

Called to meet a friend. Ordered drinks and a toastie. Not given a serviette or knife. Had to go back to ask. Everything seems to be now kept behind the counter Si said 'do you have to ask for everything now?' Lad just mumbled something about helping yourself. Don't see how when its behind the counter. Found a nice comfy table with sofa but in had someone else's dirty tray on it still do I moved it aside thinking they will take it away soon. Bearing in mind the place was less than a quarter full. Nobody came so in the end i carried it to them. poor show from uninterested young staff!

Popped in Sunday Morning for Coffee and Toast. Was really busy but service was quick and managed to get a seat ok

Refurb looks good but last twice I’ve been in not at all impressed with my coffee! Asked Barista if he was new (never seen him before) but coffee not good. Cup not full, loads of froth whether it’s a ‘flat’ white or a cortado. Do better at home with my nespresso machine and aerochino. So much wasted milk too! Boiled the first jug of milk so poured it down sink and started again. Dear me. Will have to look in to see who’s serving. Might be better heading down the street to Costa’s rivals. So sad!

Great to see the drab Inside transformed into something more colourful and welcoming, love the little Costa cup lights hanging from the ceiling. Coffee and cake, good as always

My office puts in a take away order every day and they sometimes give us a freebie. Today we got a pack of mixed mini muffins which were lovely. I had chocolate one that was lovely and soft on the inside. They also provide carry holders for our large order

I went in for a Chocolate Frostino and I was served by ‘Izzy’ she was so friendly and so helpful and made a great drink! She honestly made my day!!

Not my favourite Costa but it's convenient. Decided to eat in, spilt my coffee and staff member was really helpful quickly cleaning it up and not making me feel bad about it

Late Saturday morning and it was really busy but service was fairly swift and staff were pleasant. ordered toast that came quickly. I spilt my coffee and the lady came and wiped it up really quickly despite how busy the were.

Visiting town for first time with a group of students one of which desperately needed the loo, no local toilets so tried costa. Staff were really rude and threatening, to the girls. I am a very regular costa customer and the local stores in Darlington would never treat people in such a way. Definately won't be going there again!!

Visit this store when I am in Guisborough from time to time and the service in here can be average. The service in the store can be average what I mean by that is that depends what time you visit this store and some times when it is busy the staff can leave the tables a bit messy when it is very busy sometimes. It would be good if made the store bit more light up instead of been to dark. Sometimes when you sit at a table when there bring your drink/food order over it could of been cold by the time there bring it over to you.

I love Costa but there's nothing special about this one. Coffee generally ok cos it's Costa There is nothing warm friendly about the place like other Costas

I thought I would give Cafe Nero a try and see if the difference was enough to move, and here is my experience. Costa have newspapers but Nero have books to read, Costa don’t have napkins available unless you ask but Nero has them just to help yourself to. Nero doesn’t serve toast but Costa does. Costa has very wobbly tables and Nero seem more stable. The prices seem very similar and the Nero cafe is a lot nicer looking with cleaner fittings. The tables don’t seem to get left with crockery in Neros. On the whole we will be using Neros from now on.

Depends which staff members are in to how good your experience is! Some offer to bring things over to table eg toast etc if drinks ready but food not, others let you stand at the counter and wait, even if you’re the only person in the cafe. The manager moved away who was jokey and friendly and welcomed everyone into the cafe. So lots of new staff, hopefully things will settle down?? Saw Alex help a man who had spilled is drink and brought him a replacement which I though was very good customer service.

The furniture has been partialy replaced so the worst bits are a lot better, still a lot of work do do on the refurbishment though. They appear to be in money saving mode, no napkins unless you ask for them (even though they are quite often needed to wipe down the tables) The toast is always underdone, even after sending it back it still comes back anaemic. The latte doesn’t come with a saucer or spoon, so the tables get stickier. I’m going to try Cafe Nero instead.

Called here for a coffee with 2 of my children only 1 girl serving and making the drinks so service was slow. Turns out that that they had run out of full fat milk we had to have our drinks made with skimmed milk if we wanted a drink. We weren't told about this only heard 2 members of staff talking about it when someone finally came to hep her.

Enjoyed a lovely catch up with friends.Service very good.Drinks lovely and hot.And everywhere was very clean.Will be calling again very soon

Had a meeting here and wanted something hot, as it was cold and raining. Yes I should of gone back and spoke to the staff but my client arrived and didn't have time. The hot chocolate was like warm and tasted very 'powdery

Soy un habitual en Costa visitar numerosas tiendas, ya que me encanta el café, pero no me quedé impresionado con este. Lo mejor fue el servicio, pero el lugar estaba desaliñado y sucio. La mayoría de las mesas estaban llenas de basura gratis, me pareció...

No puedo recomendar Costa lo suficiente. Realmente servicial y amable personal con un gran servicio al cliente. Un excelente lugar para todas sus necesidades de bebida y algo para comer si tienes hambre!

Buen producto pero el habitual (como en todos) he visitado la costa necesita una mejor 'clearing. Capacidad'. Todos parecen ser un poco desaliñada

Called today for quick cup of coffee and bacon roll. Coffee and food of usual high standard and barista very good.Only down note armchairs in window very stained and grubby.

Went here today(19th February) with a friend.First ever visit.Peered in through windows and the queue wasnt long and there were spare seats.I ordered a hot chocolate with cream and my friend just had a tea.We were served very pleasantly by a man with a shaved head who was very quick and polite.The drinks were served quickly by his colleague and we sat at the back of the cafe.The dirty crockery was very soon cleared away.giving us a nice clean table.The drink was very nice,The only slight downside was the toilets,only one unisex/disabled open.Now i realise toilets can break down but it doesnt seem they have more than two to start with which to me isnt enough.This one toilet however was in a reasonably clean and tidy condition.Would certainly recommend to any visitor in Guisborough.

Use this Costa regularly nice helpful staff always a good selection of coffees and cakes and comfy seats.

On arriving long queue. Tables covered in used pots. Eventually placed order which was got wrong twice. The barista area was filthy, bins overflowing and again full of used pots. Only consolation coffee was good.

On the high street,Often have to wait, as never seems enough staff but staff are friendly.Asked about the Christmas Costa offer and she reeled off all the choices till I chose a Salted Caramel Cappuccino.I don't like really sweet stuff but this was just right.

Met up with the legend that is Bernie Slaven for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake, good environment, good service, great coffee and modern coffee shop decor, would call back anytime.

Called in here today for a coffee with my daughter. I asked for a flat white and cold glass of milk the lady who took my order told the man who was preparing the drinks , she put an empty glass on my tray for him to put the milk in he made my flat white then wandered off for a few minutes to talk to another member of staff , when he saw I was still standing at the counter he said your not waiting for another drink are you ? I said yes a glass of milk he then only filled the glass 3/4 full with a no apology for making me wait. I have visited this costa on a few occasions and never had bad customer service until today. Why not realise I wanted another drink when I had a empty glass on my tray !

My favourite Costa in the area! The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. Fabulous service and lots of seating inside. The drinks are always made well.

A fairly standard Costa in layout and service but rather scruffy when we visited. Lots of dirty tables, rubbish around and trays stacked with dirty pots on the high chair stack! Can't fault the drinks though and the staff were pleasant.

Free wifi for half and hour, good tea and coffee, tasty ham and cheese toastie and clean toilets. Staff were friendly and helpful and there was a busy atmosphere.

It is what it is, decent coffee served promptly in a clean but very dark environment. The staff are very pleasant but I would love to go into a Costa which has a lighter more airy feel to it as but the brand is everywhere and is obviously doing great as it is. If it ai'nt broke don't fix it eh.

This is a nice meeting place to have a coffee, scone and a catch up. It is very cosy and appealing. The prices are high but they are in all Cota Cafes and not any more expensive than Starbucks ect. The service is freindly and not to slow and the place was clean and tidy.

Most of the tables were littered with dirty crockery & spills. Staff ( 2 males)were leaning on and behind the counter chatting to each other. Although they were friendly to me they got my order wrong, which was a little hard to do , one medium skinny latte. My impression of the cafe is "grubby" , apart from myself there were 4 other customers. When in guisbrough next I may lookinside to see if its improved.

open later hours than normal. can have different strengths of coffee, and a variety of types, which is excellent but there is a limitation of variety of food to eat. :It is simply a coffee house.

We visit Costa Guisborough every Saturday and find the staff very friendly, especially James and Dominic. The service is excellent, they even remember regulars' orders and will often bring the order to the table. Couldn't expect more! Costa is not cheap but we love the coffee and the atmosphere is great!

My Wife and I visit at least twice a week and enjoy a relaxing coffee and tea in here, we do see how hard the staff work and appreciate the delivery of the trays to the table evry now and then. Whitbread who own it could do with doing a bit of a refurb though the chairs are getting a bit grubby, and maybe buying a few more newspapers to go round!

I often go to Costa in Guisborough (and other areas). Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Always manage to put a smile on your face ! They always make the drinks well we don't have to go back and ask for something to be changed! Very quick service too! Lovely atmosphere too! Nice to pop in on your own for a quiet drink, or to meet up with friends for a coffee/cake and a natter!

Exactly as you would expect from a costa coffee. A good place to meet up with friends for drinks and a snack. Plenty of seating and toilets available.

The staff in Guisborough Costa are what makes going here so appealing, they always have a smile on their face, James particularly can brighten your day with his cheeky banter. They encourage you to try new things and recommend different coffees etc but if you don't like them they will replace. Lovely atmosphere, lovely coffee and cakes but it's the staff that make it special!!!!!!

Always like to visit here for a fruit cooler on a hot day, I've always thought that places like Costa are a little too pricey but I don't mind paying a bit extra for a fruit cooler, there's not many places in Guisborough that sell things like that. I tend to avoid Costa if I want a hot chocolate or something 'cause I can't justify the money on such a generic drink.Overall this Costa is a lovely addition to Guisborough high street, its got a cosy feel that most of Costa's cafes don't have.

We went twice on Tuesday in the morning for coffee. The place is comfortable & friendly but the coffee was mild. Tuesday night is live music night most Tuesdays & they had a great young rick group on this Tuesday night. The place was packed.

Called in for coffee, but was rather put off when we got the coffee because of the state of the tray. It was really grubby, and looking around most of those in view looked as if they could do with a really good clean. The coffee was as good as ever and the service was ok, but felt it needed a good overhaul for cleanlines.

Although this is an international chain the staff work hard at making this cosy and friendly. The live music on Tuesday evenings is a wonderful addition to the Guisborough scene for teenagers and it's great that this cafe is involved in making positive places for young people to be on an evening

The one fault café that is Costa. That one fault is price. Yes, you pay more here than you do for your average coffee, but that's just the thing, it's not your average cup of coffee, tea or fruit cooler. Costa is highly consistent in quality for it's every drink, snack, nibble, ambience and service. So therefore I'd argue that you get what you pay for. Furthermore, price boundaries are generous for the different sizes. There's difference of 30p between a small and a large, so if price does bother you, then I'd say it's worth paying that bit extra. I admit that I do prefer to have my Costa as a sit-in, rather than a take-out. I say that because I prefer to have them as a thing to be properly enjoyed. So personally for me it isn't a coffee to go kind of place, for that, I'd probably just pop to Greggs down the road for a quick cuppa rather than some comparatively exotic masterpiece from the wider ranged, choice pondering menu and all round cosy café that is Costa. Besides, Costa has too good an atmosphere to leave. The staff there are always so lovely, cheery and welcoming. The whole ambiance is simply wonderful.They've also recently started to put on the odd music night, which showcase local talent. They're normally around 5pm until 7pm. It's very chilled out, and really boosts the whole atmosphere to a whole new level. As a keen musician myself, it's a wonderful experience, and who could resist a little bit of free local live music? Simply sit back with your drink and scrumptious nibble and relax with friends or family. Honestly can't recommend Costa enough. I most certainly can't think of another local place where I'd rather splash a little extra cash on a drink, snack or nibble.

We went into this establishment and were treated to excellent friendly efficient service.The staff were very polite and helpful even carrying our drinks to our table.This branch of Costa is to be highly recommended.

Always come in here for a drink or two with my family. Its a great place to sit and have a good catch up. Staff are lovely. Always well presented. Drinks are always done to how we like. As nan is fusy about how many shots of coffee she has. would recommended this Costa to anyone and everyone!!

My favourite place to have coffee with friends while in Guisborough, which is mainly due to the fabulous service provided by the friendly manager and his staff. Good customer service is rare, but definitely on display here :-)

Been going here for years and have never been remotely disappointed. All of the staff are excellent and are well organised by the manager, James, who runs a happy, friendly and efficient ship. We used to take my elderly mother there before she passed away and the staff were extremely kind, thoughtful and welcoming to her and despite the fact that she had Alzheimer's, she knew their faces and loved the attention they gave her. We are on first name terms with the lovely, amiable members of staff, who always offer to carry the drinks to our table and are prepared to go the extra mile to keep their clientele happy.

Very dirty and staff don't tidy up empty cups.It was quite shock as most costa are clean .Hopefully u found it useful

My wife visited with my daughter recently. Costa had no bread left and our daughter really wanted some toast. She is only 3 year old so the pet lip came out. The manager went to a nearby shop, bought some bread and made some toast for my little girl. She was really pleased and he wouldn't take any money. If carlsberg made customer care...

I have enjoyed coffee here many, many times; staff are friendly and coffee is great. BUT........the place is becoming so shabby and cleanliness seems to be way down the list of priorities. It is putting me off going there. Tables are too often left cluttered with used cups etc , even when the place is not busy, and the floor both behind the counter and customer side are badly cleaned.I really hope things improve as I would not want to stop dropping in.

A lot of Costas are dirty and staff are grumpy... Not here! Staff were all smiles and jokes and very helpful. Lovely and clean and cakes were delicious worth a visit

I wouldn't normally review these place or even go in! They are usually well over priced and pretentious. I have to say however, after a long cold walk I called in for a coffee. The guy serving was very helpful and the coffee was very nice. I had a large coffee (a bucket full!) and a fruit flapjack and it didn't break the bank. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere, I will be going back.

Strangely not all costa coffees taste the same. When we have visited this cafe we have always had goo service and smooth coffee. What more could you want.

Room to tie dogs up outside, no one batted an eyelid when I came in for cup of coffee with mud up to my knees after been hillwalking. Good central location and even a newspaper to read. Coffee as would expect for costa.

Guisborough is a delightful little town with lots to offer in terms of shopping and sight-seeing - as it is located just at the northern edge of the North York Moors National Park. We visit the town regularly and always look forward to sampling the delights of the coffee shops and restaurants. Costa Coffee is very popular with us because of its central location in Westgate - amid all the shops! The coffee is great too - both the sit-in and take-away varieties. There are also lots of lovely ‘gastronomic delights’ in the form of cakes and biscuits. As an added bonus, Costa also runs a ‘points scheme’ so that patrons can collect points on their Costa-card with a view to redeeming them against a free cup-of-coffee!

This is a modern coffee shop. Its one of the newest in Guisborough and its presence has had a great effect on all our other coffee shops. They have had to "up their game" so to say. They have all installed better seating to try and compete. The seating inside is very modern and very comfortable. The air conditioning is always at the prefect temperature. The coffee and other beverages are always excellent. Would recommend this place to everybody. Also there is free wifi once you have registered with the web site.

Wife met her Mam here for a quick coffee as she was in the area. Great service, great coffe and friendly staff. Worth a stop off if passing
