Astronomical prices! I called for a pint, only cider on was Somersby, it cost me £4.85 Dreadful place. No damn wonder it was empty, never again. Avoid, Wetherspoons is next door.

Last May the railways were offering really cheap days out, so chose to travel to Lichfield which we had always wanted to visit. The choice of places to eat is limited as we did not want Thai food or a chain so we were very pleased to come across this nice pub. We were not disappointed . We both had Guinness to drink and one of us had beef cottage pie and the other beef pappardelle. Portions were generous, service good and they even played decent music. We ate outside.

Popped in while roaming Lichfield and not disappointed. We had the Sunday beef roast which was exceptionally good and a far cry from the usual insipid car very type stuff. Succulent and plentiful with well cooked roasted veg and tatters all for £11.99! Derby Brewery owned, so not beer I’m used to but very moreish and friendly staff. Nice little courtyard at the back which was a Su trap at the time.

Visited today, as we were exploring Lichfield. Fantastic Beer and great food. The IPA was excellent and I had a Bacon Cheeseburger that was succulent, and well presented. Mike was fantastically attentive and helpful. As were all of the staff. Keep up the great work guys and girls.

OK. I literally have no words for the batter disgusting mess served to me tonight I even had a guy from the bar justifying the hideous greasy mess on my plate. He said...its batter. " Oh yes it is. Deeply battered. Disgusting Inedible Foul nasty food. Stay well away Lots of nice places to eat This isn't one of them Go anywhere else. 🙏

This is another popular pub which was very busy when we called in on a Saturday night. The selection from the bar was a bit different from the norm and the atmosphere was relaxed but lively. Its not a big pub but what there is is compfy and well laid out. It is located literally around several other similar establishments so perfect for hitting the towns night life.

Didn't eat, this was a retirement event for drinks. Really enjoyed the venue, nice atmosphere and very pleasant.

Very cozy, friendly atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, good, efficient service and lovely tasty, well presented food. Big portions and vegetarian/vegan options. Dog friendly too. We enjoyed the vegetarian Sunday roast and the vegetarian cottage pie, both delicious and homemade. Our meat loving friends said that their Sunday roasts were one of the best they'd had. For a treat we had chocolate brownie and a really tasty rhubarb crumble, both served with ice cream. There are treats available for dogs and the toilets were clean and well looked after.

Popped in on Wednesday - the staff were very friendly and welcoming as I came in on my own. The atmosphere has a great cosy feel to it and I have already revisited.can’t recommend this pub enough

I visited The Pig on a saturday in the day time. My wife and I had not booked a table which we were told we should have done previously. We both felt the staff were standoffish and cold towards us. The lady with the pink hair looked over towards us and spoke to the lady behind the bar with blonde hair. We ordered the loaded nachos and the cheeky cow burger both of which were cold and not particulary well presented. the lady who brought us our food also forgot to bring us the water we asked for on multiple occasions. overall I would not visit again. Avoid like the black plague.

Popped in for Lunch on Saturday, found limited menu. No fresh sandwiches available, all chips+. Meals came out at separate times and one was cold. One was supposed to be chips, smashed avocado and poached egg. Poached egg was a bit of egg white!

Decor wasn’t to my liking, way to bright and the tables were literally on top of each other. Ordered a vodka and tonic and a draft cider, £10.20!!! Vodka was served in a children’s small glass tumbler with 1 cube of ice and no lemon. It reminded me of the Sunday league football pubs back in the 80’s 😳 Absolutely no presentation whatsoever. The staff though we’re polite and friendly. We had 1 drink and left, won’t be back.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff & great beers 🍻 what more do you need. Food is delicious can’t wait to come back

Called in this weekend while on a visit to Lichfield and must say what a fantastic find this pub is. Great locally produced beer to imbibe at what seems the normal pricing these days. The manageress very friendly and a great atmosphere all round. Will definitely return on our next visit.
