Brewhouse & Kitchen Lichfield in Lichfield

Me and brother came for a brewing experience. Tom and Harris gave us a great day, explaining the process and answering our many questions. We both got stuck in from start to finish. We have both been on brewery tours before but never been involved in the process. Breakfast and lunch were provided with many beers to taste along the way. This is beer tasting coupled with brewing which adds the extra element. We will be back late October to hopefully sample the product we helped produced. Many thanks, would highly recommend.

Manageress Charlotte once again yesterday Friday made our meetings in your bar there very very good ... she was exceptionally attentive to our coffee, tea and drinks needs, and she was incredibly pleasant too. And THAT is why we use Brewhouse. Thank you Charlotte.

Popped in with my laptop for some lunch and a coffee as I usually work from home, was served by Dave who was very friendly and made sure I was well looked after, definitely popping back in soon!

A rainy Sunday night but cheered up on entering this welcoming pub. Cheerful greeting from Kieron who was our server for the evening. A good range of beers and a varied food menu pleased all 4 of us. Will come again next time we are in Lichfield.

Lovely pub in Lichfield with a large variety of beers. Food is great, Sam and Charlotte were very helpful and attentive. Took our orders quickly and our food came swiftly.

We ate at Lichfield restaurant Food was amazing Our waiter Sam went above and beyond he was very helpful, recommended beer which was amazing made sure we were looked after made us feel welcome and looked after Would definitely recommend eating or drinking here.

Went on a Saturday for the Brewing Masterclass. The initial educational element was drowned out by the music in the bar…would have been very difficult for someone with hearing impairment. However, when we were taken to the tasting section, the quality of experience was much stronger. Sophia was excellent in her role, with some interesting anecdotes around each beer and a real love and understanding of the craft of brewing. 10 tasting beers later, and I was certainly very happy for the rest of the day!

Had the beer masterclass. It included some excellent beers and the extensive knowledge by our host Sophia really made it worthwhile. Highly recommend!

Sam and Samantha were so kind and attentive! The bang bang chicken was very tasty - accompanied by a refreshing gin and tonic! I will be visiting again! ❤️

Brewers Masterclass - had a talk given by Sophia followed by a tasting session (8 different beers). Sophia was very friendly and knowledgeable, which made the experience well worth the money. We didn't eat.

Lovely meal here. Food was delicious and plenty of choice for food and drink. Found the online ordering not so good as not everything on the menu was online, so order with a member of staff that we had to prompt them with a few times. Other than this a lovely experience.

Working from Lichfield city centre, I discovered Brewhouse & Kitchen's work space offer - £10 for lunch, unlimited hot and soft drinks and work space...sat next to craft beer brewing equipment...my ideal space. 😂 I chose the house baked focaccia sandwich with Spicy BBQ pulled shitake mushrooms...it was delicious! Great staff, really friendly team, lovely space and brilliant offer. If you need somewhere to work from in Lichfield, definitely worth visiting.

Would not attend here ever again !!!! Never have I ever witnessed such Rude , disrespectful and immature staff !! Food wasn’t great either . Manager was very understanding but female staff were awful !!! I would actually not give a star !!!

Returning visit- never disappoints! it was a really busy as bank holiday but all the staff had smiles on their faces. They found us a table quickly. Charlotte was fabulous and attentive, we always love coming here! Food was great, definitely recommend the Bacon Jam Cheese-burger. 10/10!

The food menu is quite limited. If you’re not in the mood for a burger, there aren’t many other appealing options. We ordered our food and drinks through the app, but the drinks didn’t arrive before or with the food, and we had to ask for them. We visited on a Saturday evening, and the atmosphere was lively and noisy.

We booked a function area at The Brewhouse Lichfield to celebrate our baby’s 1st Birthday. We had a young guy serving us who was very helpful! However, not all the food we ordered arrived and we had to ask for it. We were informed that the area would be sectioned off for us, but people kept coming into the area and also took some of the food. It was a bit disappointing, because it took the shine off a lovely celebration!

Lovely place to eat and have a drink. Been here before for the beer masterclass and enjoyed it so decided to go again to start our day out in Lichfield. Would definitely recommend. Great selection of drinks and lovely staff.

Lovely pub, the food I had was amazing ,so good I can't stop thinking about it. Only issue I had was a waiter accidently spilt a drink all over the table and all.over me when putting the tray on the table. I was soaking wet

I cannot speak for the whole party of seven. The staff were great - friendly and efficient. We were particularly grateful when they turned off the music! Atmosphere was a bit lacking as this was Tuesday lunchtime - very different to the Sarurday buzz of my first visit. My fish "gujons" were disappointing: more batter than fish. And my wife's roasted halloumi lacked halloumi, tiny flakes of which finally came in a small bowl when she complained. Overall impression: I think a beer drinker would enjoy the place more than I did. Unfortunately, I gave up alcohol recently (doctor's advice). Thanks anyway. We had a good family chat in a quiet environment.

A poorly thought out menu. The food was of very poor quality, either red hot or cold. Very disappointed. Small portions sizes.

My partner & I had a super Sunday lunch today, which was delicious. Charlotte the Manager was serving us,polite friendly very knowledgeable about different beers we were enquiring about. Excellent service, great atmosphere. We will be returning & spreading the word.

Came in for food and had a delicious burger, was really impressed by the choice of beers too! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, definitely will be coming back!

Didn’t eat just called in for a drink. Ordered a bottle of house wine and asked if it was dry and what grape it was. Poor girl behind the bar hadn’t got a clue, mind you the manager wasn’t much better - maybe a bit of basic training is needed? In the end the wine was lovely and we sat and had a pleasant drink outside. Biggest issue were toilets they absolutely stank, maybe some basic hygiene standards are required?

Service was good at the start. We ordered 3 meals, 2 were nice but the 3rd half chicken wasn’t warm, asked for it to be heated up which they did without a problem. The chicken was pink inside, didn’t feel confident to eat it as it had been cold to begin with. Staff weren’t bothered really, said it was meant to be like that. We were never rude or unpleasant but the staff just didn’t seem to care, then put a 10% service charge on. I always pay a tip even when not required but I did not feel this was appropriate.

The Lichfield Chess Club meets here most Mondays and as the social organiser, I'm impressed with the helpfulness of the staff.

I booked a workspace on Thursday for a couple of hours to get out of the house & focus on some work. The staff were lovely, food was AMAZING! WIFI was very slow which was an issue but I also had done stuff to do on paper so I was still able to get work done. I’ll be coming back!

I hold my painting events at the Brewhouse Lichfield, I’ve always been made welcome and the rooms are always ready for me. Food is delivered almost instantly and the staff helpful and welcoming. I’ve learned to avoid Mondays because of chess club, and Tuesdays are wonderful evenings spent being creative and meeting lots of new people. Thanks to Peter for opening the rooms up for community groups. I love it! Special mention to the young lady working upstairs yesterday evening (21st May) she was wonderful and a real asset to your staff team x

Myself and my brother came here for lunch. We had the burgers which were amazing. Everything tasted really fresh, we were served by Sara who was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed during our meal.

Chloe was so lovely, even though she spilt a drink over the table she was so apologetic, and delivered a wonderful gin masterclass. The notes she had to help her were absolute adorable. She was just a really nice person overall

Seated and served by Chloe, we felt welcomed and wanted. The food arrived swiftly and was absolutely delicious. (Pics attached.) The legend lager was very decent and would have again. Overall a great experience and would recommend to others. No faults whatsoever.

Service very good for a busy Saturday, beer as always very nice. Food has dropped of late we found. Chicken Salad was poorly done with chunks of fried bread instead or proper croutons, plus large chunks of lettuce to make up for the lack of chicken. Steak somewhat overcooked and too much fat/gristle. Definitely seen better fries too. Food used to be a strong suit so a tad disappointing, also only two vegan options, one of which was off the menu.

Booked for 13 people for my husband’s 60th. Was shown the area we would all be seated in on the day. When we arrived we were shown to a different area. We had to rearrange the table and chairs so we could all be together. The room was right next to the brewery area so we had the noise and smell from the beer tanks. Also room was really cold. (Though one of the staff did turn the heat on) The food was ok. Credit to the waitress and waiter who were really good. Would i visit the Brewhouse again. Probably not.

Excellent service from Chloe... Lunch menu burger was perfect, steak frite from same menu was cooked just as requested (well done or ruined as I say). Couple of pints of ale and 2x G and T's... Good value. Recommended.

Spent Mother’s Day at the brewhouse and had a fantastic time with my family!!! Food was 10/10. I was served by Sydney and Dave who made sure we were well looked after, definitely coming back soon.

Had a day out in Lichfield & wanted a drink @ the end of our walk. We came across the Brewhouse & Kitchen & really glad that we did. I had a pint of their own stout which was very good although a little too cold, but that is often the case when it comes directly from the pump. I warmed it by the lovely, large gas fire though which also warmed me & my partner after our walk. The seats we got were so comfy, we didn't want to move. The atmosphere was fine for a Sunday afternoon & although we didn't eat, the food that others ordered looked fantastic. We'd definitely go back when next in Lichfield.

The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We met as a party of 12 for a family celebration , and we were not disappointed, we had a lovely meal and we can’t thank the staff enough, they were attentive and helpful , not to mention friendly . My children all grew up here but it’s probably 25+ years since they went’out’ in Lichfield ! Thank you for making it such an enjoyable experience 😁

Good food and beer in a pub brewery.

Remarkable the customer service was , Chloe really went above and beyond for me . Helped me understand what on the menu suits my dietary requirements . She made sure to make sure I didn’t eat anything I’m allergic to . I haven’t felt the need to write a review about anyone in a long time but she really deserves some recognition for the effort she put in for me and other quests . Will be coming back again!

Had a brew masterclass experience. Lewis was our guide and host. He was clearly passionate and knowledgeable. He took us through the different methods and origins of the 8 beers we had, and adapted the tasting experience so that we could really enjoy the selection. I would very much recommend the experience and the House Tropical IPA. Thank you.

First time here today and I was absolutely impressed with the food and atmosphere. I had a 1/2 Chicken Sunday Roast, the chicken was juicy and everything else was fresh. One of my friends had the Fish and Chips and that dish was really nice as well. A really big portion, definitely worth the money. Sydney the waitress is such a lovely and patient staff member.

Our server Sydney was very helpful and informative about the menu. All our meals were lovely and the beer platter was a very cool idea if you can't choose what you want. Would definitely recommend this place

Went for lunch with my son and was very disappointed. Ordered burger and pulled chicken focaccia and a portion of onion rings. The burgers were very thin and burnt and the ‘pulled’ chicken ( which I presumed to be shredded) was just 4 bits of chicken with some lettuce and bacon put on a small slice of focaccia which was stale (rock hard all over !!) For what I paid the food was not great to be honest , no wonder it was empty!! On a plus side onion rings were great 👍🏻

Lewis was a fantastic host and provided us with some interesting beers that we hadn’t tried before. When we expressed we weren’t fan of porters, Lewis was very accommodating and altered the plan to enable us to try beers more to our taste. Lewis gave a very thorough background to each beer tried Alton with some anecdotes. It was a very interesting and laid back experience that I would recommend.

A group of 7 of us met at the Brewhouse & Kitchen - Lichfield for a get-together. We had lunch and a few drinks. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The surroundings were clean and tidy with a very realxed atmosphere. I will definitley be going again soon.

We have eaten here many times over the past 3 years. Great location with lots of space inside, good range of standard pub food and range of ales and other drinks. The ribs were always good and the beer can chickens were always brilliant. Only downside is that it is busy and quite noisy so having a conversation with elderly relatives is sometimes difficult but its great to see a business as busy as this.

Very helpful staff. Vibrant atmosphere, would be great if the chairs were a bit higher, as felt like a midget sat at the table. Excellent service.

Popped in with my partner while was in Lichfield we only had a drink each but the place was really nice, staff were friendly and helped us find a seat. It also had the Rugby on which was good. Has lots of brewed ales and larger to choose from

So so glad we called in here. I had the beer can chicken and my partner had the plant burger. We then had churros for dessert. Also had two lovely German beers. Great food, great atmosphere and fantastic service from Sydney! 10 out of 10!

Met some friends here on the weekend for a few beers, was happily surprised by the selection of IPA’s had a chat with Dave on the bar who was very well informed! definitely returning!!

The team at Brewhouse and Kitchen did a super job hosting us for a family reunion. All the arrangements easy to make from the initial call, to the online meal pre-order, and including making a change on the day of the reunion when one of our party couldn’t attend at the last minute. Food was tasty and the Brewhouse has a wide selection of beers which were enjoyed. The team on the evening were nicely attentive and consistent in ensuring everyone was well looked after. Thank you.

Overpriced for the quality of the food and drink. Half of the food and drink wasn't available. Would not return.

Awful experience with my family. Staff were rude. 1 in particular and loads of things not on the menu.

Popped in for a mid-week lunch. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and good ales and with the work of beer brewing going on within the pub, the aromas added to the experience. The menu is comprehensive with many quirky and different dishes you don’t see in the average pub. Food was tasty, well cooked and presented. They’d run out of focaccia bread for the sandwiches on our visit, but the generous flatbread with the same filling was an adequate substitution.

Very short staffed, not much food and no bread! Children's meals were inedible. Chicken was completely dried up and cheese looked very old and limp. We waited 1hr and a half for meal which we couldn't eat as burgers were burnt black. The drinks we ordered were forgotten!!! Al in all a very very poor experience

Not good value for food -- give it a miss. Waited an hour for a 15.00 chicken burger that turned out to be a piece of chicken in a bun with a fragment of lettuce and some mayo. There was no detectable slaw to lend flavour, contra the description. When I asked for the slaw I was assured I was mistaken and it was in there, so maybe there was some other trace amount of flavourless ingredient in there lost in the mix. Resorted to habanero sauce from a crusty topped bottle at the table to add a little bit of interest. Others at the table also had missing elements.

Great good and great service, ambience was somewhat marred by the annoying singing coming from the kitchen. If we wanted bad kareoke we'd have gone elsewhere. We eventually cut our visit short.

Came here Friday 29th for lunch with the family. Table service took a long time after being shown to the table (20 minutes before anyone came over) and then when we came to order food we found most of the food was unavailable. We all changed our dishes based on availability and off the server went. 15 mins after we ordered the server came back to say they actually didn’t have one of the sandwiches we ordered, so the order was changed to the fish finger sandwich instead, which he said was fine. ANOTHER 15 mins passed only for him to come back AGAIN to say actually they were out of bread… so at this point there was no chicken, no bread and most of the salads were off the menu. We had been at the restaurant for over an hour now with no food. If the kitchen communicated clearly what they actually did have it would have been better for the waiting staff to say what was on the menu as we sat down so time wasn’t wasted. Finally we ordered another dish, because of all this delay our food took another 20 mins to come out. The young waiter that had to keep coming back seemed very nervous/inexperienced but you could see many others in the restaurant complaining and the poor lad was having to take the brunt of it all. The restaurant had tables that weren’t cleaned, for example the family next to us had been gone over half an hour with their plates still left and no one had cleaned them, even once we left. Overall was very disappointed. The manager who brought us our bill did recognise this as when he brought it over, he did take off our soft drinks.

We were disappointed when we attended on Saturday 23rd December 2023. We had prebooked a table expecting to be able to have a Christmas meal as per their website, only to be told "all that is available is our normal menu". To say we were disappointed was an understatement. Shall think twice before going in again.

Great food, but spoiled by the service. Booked a table over a month ago, and arrived to be told that due to a 'big buffet' upstairs, we'd have an hour wait on food. It actually took a little over the hour. Shame.

Came here yesterday to work 12 til 5 and brought my dog, the 2 ladies on the bar could not be more friendly and were amazing with my dog. They were super helpful all day, let me pay for a chicken breast so my dog could eat and were just so happy and smiling all day. Lovely place and will be coming back to work soon!

Had gotten gift card for a Beer Masterclass, wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The onsite Brewer Prey's was great and the beers made on site and from the world were also really good plus the cheese burger was also nice aswell.

Great night for my daughters birthday. The landlord was lovely and all friendly staff. Food great. Only issue was no prawns left lol! hopefully have them for next Monday as we are there for Xmas day lol and I ordered prawns :) xx
