We went for meal as two couples. We used to visit regular but haven’t been for a while so thought would give it a go. So disappointed 1 person had scampi and chips and peas tasted like frozen chips and frozen scampi. Peas were cold another person had lobster which was stringy and chewy and could not eat it so sent it back one person had burger can’t go wrong with that fourth person had smoked haddock in what looked like watery soup definitely could not eat the liquid with a fork. So disappointed definitely will not return.

Fantastic wee pub. Decent priced drinks by Edinburgh standards these days. Friendly staff, live music, quizzes and live sports and cracking well priced pizzas. Lovely proper old school pub. I am local and have been going to the Pavilion for many years. The coffee is good. The service and staff are polite and friendly. However I am disappointed at the cafe's policy of charging 40 pence when I asked for soya milk (due ro lactose intolerance) with my coffee. I'd filled my loyalty card with buying soya latte's and cappuccinos throughout the last month, and was charged 40 pence this visit when I ordered soya milk with my free coffee. This is unfair and penalizes people with intolerances as other coffee drinkers aren't charged for the milk in their free coffee. I have never been charged in the past for having soya milk in my free drinks.

Located in the Market Square and owner operated, it offers a wide range of cooked meals and homemade cakes, together with the best coffee and tea locally. It offers a comfortable well decorated environment with ample seating indoors and in the adjoining arcade. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful and provide a prompt and efficient service. It’s well worth a visit.

We had a fantastic time, we had the Bottomless Brunch which came with a meal and as many cocktails you could drink in 90 mins. We managed 6 each and all were delicious! Staff very friendly and all drinks came quickly. We’ll be booking again!

Such an idyllic location. We received a very friendly welcome and nice service. The food was delicious, for us good value for money. It was lovely to sit in the sunshine outside and when the clouds came we moved indoors. Inside it's cosy and cute. We'll definitely be back.

Myself and my partner visited the Chocolate Cafe on a Saturday lunchtime with my brother and his family who have been several times before. Our group included a 3 year old and a 7 month old. Service was fantastic, the staff were all super friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Great provisions for a Coeliac member of the party. Food was spot on, it is freshly cooked and delicious. Huge range of brownies, all of which we tried were also delicious. Some reviews mention slow food service but it was not out of the ordinary for freshly cooked food in a small kitchen so perhaps would advise to book a table a little earlier than kids will be desperate for feeding 😊.

We arrived on a late ferry from Oban and drove through the dark on single lane roads to get to Dervaig. Lucky for us we had programmed the location in our GPS because signal on the island is spotty at best. We arrived exhausted and hungry and the staff at the Bellachroy took excellent care of us, even letting us use their landline to contact our BnB. The food was excellent, the ambiance was super friendly. Our waitress was the best, and we laughed so much with her and the customers in the next table.

As a family we love Wheelbirks. It's a lovely place to visit especially in sunny weather though we rarely seem to manage that. (probably not their fault!) Went this week and it was surprisingly quiet. I had a sausage sandwich which was huge and very nice, my son had the pulled pork loaded fries which he found to be a bit too loaded with BBQ sauce so that every mouthful was just sauce flavoured. He only managed a few bites before it was too sickly for him.
