Lovely little traditional pub that sells Scampi Fries. Always a good sign. Also, the ladies toilets are exceptional. Another great sign.

Original Leith local for the guys sitting in the front room. I know the pub dates back more than 200 years. I sat in the large back room which looks old with what looks like original features.

As Leith becomes more gentrified it is good to see that pubs like The Carriers Quarters has not changed one little bit. A good old fashioned boozer that many will walk past without realising it there. From the outside it looks like it might be a tiny bar but it has large seating area at the back. If you are looking for a bar to watch the footy you will get a good seat in here as well. Good selection of beers from various local breweries such Moonwake, and the prices have stayed reasonable. One of those pubs where you will prop the bar up and end up talking everyone. popular place for people working around Leith Docks and the like so you will hear some cracking stories.

I love the place, I've been drinking there for many years. Wonderful people.

Carriers Quarter's is a small  cosy pub divided into two small areas - 3 if you include a table for two to the left of the bar. 😀  Both areas are about the size of your average room so are very cozy - especially the one to the rear as it has a fire. There are TV screens for sport aficionados and there is live music most weekends.  Great selection of beers and pizzas are available at a good price. Staff are friendly.  Definitely worth a visit

The Guinness is superb. Music on Sunday night s. 2023 - still the same historical place good company, great service. Now serving Pizza very affordable. Stop by if you're visiting the shore.

Great small local with loads of atmosphere. Prices are really low for the area. Brilliant selection of beers and spirits including GF optioons. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Live music at weekends. Pizzas freshly made to order. Highly recommend a visit if your in the area.

It used to be Todd's Tap back in the 90s. It has preserved its genuine flavour.

Great pub. Watched the football and Rugby. Pizza our friends ordered at bar was delicious. Excellent ale and great selection of spirits.

Great cosy pub in Leith. Friendly and welcoming. Good selection of local beers. Dogs welcome. Front bar is busy but plenty of seating in the back room.

Very cozy indeed, but a decent number of local beers. Also, dog friendly. Caught some great live music on Sunday, but get in early if you want a seat for that, the back room is not big, especially once there's a band in.

Small quaint Scottish pub, live sky sports and great staff

Being a minute walk away from Carriers is something I won’t take for granted! What a great wee pub. Always a fantastic pint, wide selection of spirits and staff who are always friendly and welcoming. One of the best pubs The Shore, and Edinburgh, has to offer.

Small cozy pub that's been there a long time....

This pub used to be the main haunt to watch the Six Nations grab a table at the back in the cozy snug surrounded by Scottish. Irish and Welsh supporters as an Englishman was a great fun safe atmosphere. Beer, nachos, Rugby and banter. Its the only pub i miss now i live in Fife. did pop over recently and caught up with my old friends. Pub was the same. Staff friendly and helpful and patrons are great. It is small but thats its charm just be patient and you will get served.

My friend and I had some time to kill before eating at the Ship on the Shore, so wandered into Carriers Quarters for a quick pint. What a fantastic little pub. Properly traditional with a great selection of cask and craft ales. Genuinely friendly staff and locals complete the picture. The disappointment was that we only had time for one pint before moving on. It made a great impression on me during our short visit. The atmospheric nature of Carriers Quarters is very Leith, and hugely appealing. Next time I'm in town, I'll head back for a nice session. Highly recommended, especially to those who value proper pubs.

Great little place very aged but in a good way

A lovely wee pub to watch the Dundee derby with two decent sized screens in three main area. They had Erdinger Isotonic which was great as I wasn't drinking alcohol.

A good quality mirror in the guys toilet in one of my favourite Leith bars and decent lighting too. 'The mirror man.' The mirror equality crusader....!

Great wee pub, really pleasant helpful staff too. Not many food options but don't think they have full kitchen facilities so can't blame them.

Good beer selection, really nice cozy traditional room through the back with cool decor. Friendly staff. Good social distancing and sanitising facilities. Happy to have stumbled across it!

Great wee very old pub. Brilliant live music on a Sunday evening at 7pm.

First and last time in this pub. My partner and I came in for NYE - there was an overweight Irish man standing next to the bar and his first question to me was “where are you from” (I’m a mixed race Scottish girl) didn’t seem to like my answer. He then said me and my partner were “at it” when we said we were 30&31 years old. Then he was speaking to the barmaids who subsequently came over and told us to leave. We weren’t drunk or being disorderly and they couldn’t give us a legitimate reason why we needed to leave. First and last time in this pub, no wonder it’s always dead when I go past it.

Was never away from this place while I stayed in Leith! Good bar staff, friendly and helpful. Real ales on all the time which is always a plus. For Lager drinkers there are several options but I would only go for the St. Mungo pint... the rest are beers I've never rated but that is personal taste more than anything. Also serves some bar snacks, hot and cold. What else is there to like?!!

Moderately priced & cosy bar located in the Shore area. The bar service tends to be quick & It is one of the few places in this area that actually closes at 1am. Always a good visit before my journey home on a night out in Leith.

Terrible pub.... Arrogant bar staff.... AVOID..... 50M around the corner is "the malt and hops" friendly bar staff much better option.

We loved this pub for price and layed back atmosphere. It’s a pub for locals, they serve a range of drinks but only have nachos for food. Still, we’ll priced drinks so I’d recommend swinging past for a tipple.

Went in after lunch for catchup. Nice bottle of wine. Relaxing atmosphere and great background music. Definitely would go back

Lovely traditional pub, one of the oldest in leith.

This is a small homely bar with friendly staff and good prices. I always thought it was small and always seemed busy. I hadn't been there for 13 years, a friend of mine said he would meet me there. I was amazed, it was twice as big as I remember with happy staff and a very good live band on a Sunday night.

Traditional Pub, good beer and good crowd. All it needs is a Piano and a dog :-)
