London Bridge in Warrington

We recently held a private 40/50 person event in the Bridgewater Room of the London Bridge; The room size was perfect, allowing those who wanted to sit or those who want to circulate to do so, thus creating a good atmosphere. The use of the outside area was also a plus. We arrived slightly earlier than the booked time but this did not disturb or panic the staff they handled the situation smoothly We ordered the buffet of sandwiches and chips for our guests and they were perfect - a varied selection of sandwiches and ‘yummy’ chips: Our guests complimented the food. The staffs who were carrying out their duties of serving, refilling, clearing etc. were efficient, polite and discreet. I cannot praise the London Bridge and its staff enough their professionalism, competence, courteousness and well organised aptitudes. Lovely pub, friendly staff and the food is delicious. It has a really good atmosphere and is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Fabulous Sunday dinner followed by a great band. The land lord here is a top man great atmostphere and the staff are hard working with fabulous service as it was an extremely busy afternoon

Oh my goodness! What a fantastic pub The London Bridge is. Just a Tuesday afternoon, and the place was ‘on fire’ with fabulous Alison singing. Lovely setting, great food and drinks, and warm welcoming staff. Just the best!

I celebrated my 60th birthday in the function room. The food was amazing. Anthony and his team was very attentive it was so organised. I had a wonderful night thank you.

Visited this fabulous pub for the first time yesterday. Food & ambience were great. The service was excellent very attentive and pleasant, made a lovely surprise after the dreadful experience the previous day at the Little Manor in Thelwall!! Would def recommend London Bridge pub and we will def be going back! I was also very impressed with their Covid secure procedures

Came here on a Monday lunch with my son. Met by the smiling Chloe and seated quickly after Covid registration. I ordered a large battered fish with peas no chips but a substitute salad. The batter was crisp surrounding a steaming moist fish, as good as any top rated chip shop. My son had the speciality burger which was as good as any poncy city centre restaurant. The beer was also in good condition. Staff checked everything was ok with the food and drinks. Certainly visit again.

Came today for our first pub visit post Lockdown 2. The service was excellent and attentive, the food was incredibly nice and the plum pudding beer was absolutely spot on. We felt very safe with all of the Covid measures, and the staff were all lovely and friendly with us. Although this December isn’t all it would ordinarily be, it was really encouraging to have such a pleasant pub experience and forget the pandemic for a couple of hours. Highly recommended, even for those who are Covid wary.

Genuinely shocked at how slow this service is! COVID has caused table service yet not a single member of staff looks at the tables to see if anyone needs a drink. Had our empty plates sat for 40 minutes before we had to go to the bar ourselves to ask for the bill. Staff were all hanging around chatting at the ball doing nothing.Awful. One female waitress was the only one doing her job, feel sorry for her

On a recent barge trip on the Bridgewater canal, we stopped one night near the London Bridge Inn (right beside the canal). The food and service were excellent and we had a good evening here, the staff were very friendly and helpfull. Would definately recommend a visit here.

Calles in on our travels for drinks. Track & trace well organised and we were seated outside by canal. Just had the one drink each which were at the top and of pricing for the wine can only think that it must be the average cost for the location.

Wonderful experience! We have been a number of times in recent weeks and the whole experience feels safe and enjoyable. Other establishments should take a leaf out of their book. It was our last night out with friends for a while but we will be back!

I would like to thank all of the team at The London Bridge what a lovely experience all round today. It’s extremely organised and the staff are so warm welcoming and friendly. We had a superb Sunday Lunch compliments to the chefs. After lunch we asked for a table outside where we could carry on enjoying the afternoon. The organisation here is the best so far I have seen well done to all the staff you have it just right. Very pleasant atmosphere great setting fantastic service. Highly recommended for food and drinks.

Excellent covid 19 set up , track and trace and social distances procedures in place , friendly and welcoming staff all seem up to speed with things ., we only had a roast dinner which was good hot and fresh , only criticism would be the shortage of the actual roast beef , both dinners came with only 2 small pieces, there was probably More beef on the sandwich’s on the next table

Visited for lunch with a friend, not been for years. Current Regulations properly observed and seated in the window. Staff very helpful and chatty. Good menu and nice well cooked food served, the honeycomb ice cream served as a pudding was the best I had tasted in some time. A nice comfortable lunch in good surroundings.

My friends and I visited on Saturday night and the food was delicious. Literally zero complaints and can’t wait to go back again for food, and if I was simply rating the food it would have been 5 stars ! The only downside, was we were unable to order drinks at the bar, due to obvious reasons and because it was busy , we felt like we had to keep flagging someone down for drinks when they were busy taking orders and bringing food out ! I’d like to be clear that this is absolutely no criticism on the staff, they worked their socks off all night and did amazing ! I think maybe an app to order drinks would be beneficial

Having been here before lockdown we found the standard of social distancing was to be praised, the food was excellent as was the service.

Went for tea with my partner! Never been before! Staff lovely very helpful! Food absolutely beautiful! Will definitely visit again! Thanks guys 😀

Best pub !This is the most safest, well run pub we have been too. Pre and also after lockdown.It’s run like a machine, yes some people have been turned away but that is for everyone else’s safety and also the staff who work there.Food is always amazingService is second to noneIt’s clean and follows the government strict guidelines unlike other pubs we have visited where we don’t feel safe.The cheese pie is to die for.Steak is also out of this world.Friendly and attentive staff.Best pub in Warrington hands down.Well done !

Come here for a drink with my girlfriend and wouldnt serve us alcohol because we weren't 21, we are both the legal age of drinking in the UK being 20 and are both quite annoyed having to book and waste our time. Staff are nice though so if ur above 21 this is probably the place for you.

I and two friends all aged 18 were rudely turned away from this pub today as we asked if there was a table free outside to order Soft drinks and food. We were rudely told by a member of staff that if we were not 21 we could not enter. Considering I have drank alcohol in the pub before at the age of 18 and sat outside with friends previously we were confused as we have never been turned away in the past. We explained to the staff politely that we were looking to eat food and weren’t planning on drinking as we had driven there, however we were still refused entry to the pub although we are of legal age and had our ID’s on us?! The tone the member of staff used with us was also extremely rude, judgmental and patronising, I do not think this is the way customers should be being spoken to at all. The 21 policy should be made clear as none of us have ever been turned away before, there was also a number of children and young people in the pub at the time. Very disappointing. Lost customers.

8/ July 20Food wasn’t good ..I had the chicken bacon salad Didn’t get much .look flat ..it was nice ..not value for money ...look like a child made it ...

Went to the London Bridge for the first time post lock down. It’s the first time I’ve ventured into a pub since mid-March. Absolutely everything was perfect and felt as safe as it can be. Well done to everyone. 👍

From the moment we arrived the staff were courtesy. Changing table to one of the booths. Meals served quickly. The taste of food was good.

I went with friends and after a grumpy greeting we sat down then got back up when we realised we had to order at the bar which was not pointed out to us. We all ordered scampi and chips which was mediocre, I thought the scampi was dry and I think I got the last of the chips from the fryer. We had a bottle of wine and then ordered cheese and biscuits at £6.95, this consisted of two pieces of Brie, two pieces of cheddar, four slices of apple, some limp celery and a few biscuits (photo attached) oh and a tiny pot of what looked like ketchup. Also no plates had to ask then had to ask for cutlery. We also got a trio of tiny deserts which must have been microwaved because they were like rubber. My friends didnt want to say anything but when I went to pay the bill of over £80 the girl asked me and I said it was very disappointing. She said she would mention it to the chef and that the menu was about to change, I don’t feel that was good customer service. I won’t eat there again, we could have had a meal in a restaurant and looked after for that.

Had Sunday lunch for the first time at this venue. We had the roast beef dinner. The meat was that tough that we asked for steak knives to cut it, but to be honest that did not help. The meat was really tough to eat. The rest of the meal was nice and served nicely with the vegetables and gravy in separate bowls. Very nicely presented. But this did not help the fact that we could not chew the beef. Shame,

Visited the Restaurant tonight with 3 others. I ordered chicken and jacket potato without the BBQ sauce or butter.Unfortunately when I cut the chicken it was RAW in the centre and very bloody. As everyone s aware this is quite a serious matter. I politely took the meal back to the bar where it was taken to the chef. No one apologised. I waited for a replacement meal but my friends had finished their meals by the time mine arrived. Still no apology. (Both meals had BBQ sauce and butter on them)Finally I said I was not happy and the waitress said quote "frank has ALLOWED me to give you your money back for one meal". Still no apology.I didn't want a fuss just an apology for an incident that could have made me very poorly.

Visited with family as a celebration. Ordered the Sunday lunch, there was no availability of sauteed potatoes or roast potatoes so I opted for mash with my turkey dinner. My son had the fish and chips, my husband opted for the curry. My meal wasn't the bezt, the mash potatoes were luke warm, the broccoli was cold and hard. The turkey was cold, stuffing ball was hard as nails. My husband curry was ok and the fish and chips was fine. I was so much looking forward to a good roast dinner, it was a shame. The bar area well stocked. The pub has a good vibe. I would prefer to sit in the bar compared to the restaurant part.Good location right on the canal.

We visited here on Valentines day very short notice booking as we phoned from outside and luckily for us there was a table for 4 free.The venue was chocker lots going on plenty of couples groups of friends and obviously the romantics. We were given a booth and we looked through the menu we got drinks at the bar then decided on 2 fish chips n peas with bread n butter and curry sauce and 2 1/2 roast chicken with side and chips. the meals arrived soon enough the presentation was good the portion size was great and the food itself was very tasty. The waiting on staff were very friendly and professional. My 1st visit and it wont be my last 10/10

Called in with friends for a meal at night, we hadn't been here for about ten years. Very good, excellent food, service and the prices very reasonable too. It's a very comfortable and relaxing place to have a meal and a drink, well worth giving this place a try when in Stockton Heath. I don't think you will be disappointed.

This wasn’t our first visit to the London Bridge but probably one of our worst. Had fish and chips, the chips were really dry (back in the day we’d have called them yesterday’s reheats) the small portion of fish was nice, around an inch and a half wide but at least it wasn’t made to look huge the way some places do by loads of batter. I gave the waitress feedback regarding the chips, may as well not have bothered. The other meal was a prawn sandwich, not a lot of prawns served on bloomer bread, why can’t places serve a sandwich on good old British sandwich bread, which wasn’t an option? The rest of our visit was ruined by the table of 4 men next to us and their conversation. Just a general conversation you may hear in any pub. This conversation was about the Scottish, unbeknown to them I’m a Scot, fortunately I don’t take offence at people’s opinions. The pub is lovely in the summer sitting outside on the canal. Dogs are welcome inside and out which is nice for dog owners. I will visit again but it may be some time.

Don't often write reviews but felt compelled to do this ! Went for a lunch time dinner with my friends - we all work voluntary in a local charity shop-all our meals were excellent and the service was extremely good too- compliments to the chief and the lovely lady who looked after us all so well!! Have recommended it to my family and friends!!

Booked the party room for our post Christmas lunch get together of 14 adults and 10 children. Pre ordered our meals which were served on time and no complaints at all.

Visited as a family of 6, as per usual the food was excellent and the staff very attentive, cannot fault the place.

Went for Xmas dinner here , could not be better really pleased,the service was excellent and very attentive,the food was very good really please made our Xmas day they catered for every one will definitely come .

A was out for a walk with my family and we stopped for a drink and a snack. I ordered a large messy fries to share. When it arrived, it didn't look very large so I asked the waitress and she assured me that it was a large portion. There were far less chips than I would expect on the plate with a meal. I hate to think how few there would be on a small one?

We had a party of 13 for our office Christmas meal. We paid our deposits and sent our meal pre-orders which were confirmed promptly by the venue. On arrival, plenty of parking available. The staff were super helpful and we were able to sit at our table early which was a bonus with there being quite a few of us. The table was plenty big enough with plenty of room. The food was brought out on time and all meals were nice and hot. The food was sooo nice! Considering how busy it was it was really spot on, nothing tasted like it had been sat there waiting to come out etc. and all came out together. The staff were all friendly and polite and it was service with a smile.

Fantastic Christmas lunch was provided to Sandy Lane older peoples group today. The table was lovely. The food was excellent, drinks good and the staff were on top form. Big thank you to all the team especially Rachel, Chris and Sam who provided us with such efficient service under a lot of pressure at this busy time of day. Thank you to all at the London Bridge.

Twenty of us chose from the Christmas menu week before the event. We were in our own separate dining area.Throughout the evening the drinks were promptly poured by the hard working staff behind the bar. The food was served in a very timely manner and we all ate at the same time. I had the pate, fish and cheese; all excellent courses.

We had travelled from Solihull, West Midlands up to Warrington for my Brothers 60th Birthday and decided to meet up for a meal with my Sister and her family before going to the party, We had rang and made an appointment for nine people for 6:30pm but when we arrived they had no record of the reservation and because it was made over the phone had no email confirmation either,

Just been to London Bridge for a family meal. Lovely atmosphere. The waiter Joe was excellent very attentive and courteous. (Well done Percy). Have been here numerous times of a daytime, lovely sitting outside 8n the Summer. Would not hesitate to recommend this Pub.

We live local, so regularly meet our friends at this lovely pub but usually only drink or have snack food (all excellent). My husband won a Sunday lunch for 2 a couple of weeks ago and we are now hooked!!! Gorgeous food, gigantic portions and incredible Yorkshire puds! We went back with the family today and were even more impressed when the wonderful Becky told us they had introduced table service too!

Fabulous welcome and service from the team for our older clients day care outing. The staff could not do enough for us and the food was lovely. Have been a few times and they always treat us with the greatest care. Great to see local businesses supporting community services. Booking again in two weeks for one of our gents 94th birthday celebrations at his request.

Fantastic venue for a small private party in the Bridgewater Room. The buffet was excellent and the staff were all helpful and courteous. Also had lunch at the London Bridge and the menu choice is varied and food delicious. No problem recommending this pub.

We have visited on many occasions and always a lovely meal and great choice on the menu even for vegetarians. We pre booked a table online which I would recommend as it gets very busy. We always find the car park full so have to park on side streets.

Once again dining out at our favourite place. Food was excellent as usual . The service was just as good even though they were very busy.

After the London Bridge being recommended to us we came for a Sunday lunch. The menu for Sunday was in addition to the normal menu.

Couldn't think of a better place to say farewell to Dad with family and friends. It was the hottest day of the year but we were all spread out outside and in even though we had booked the Bridgewater Room. The buffet the staff in the kitchen was outstanding. I had so much feedback from most of the people who came to celebrate with us. Thank you to all the staff who worked that day. They were fantastic. Xxxx

We booked for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and on arrival it was clear from their expression they hadn’t got my booking but we were still able to get a table. We were told we had to order food and drinks at the bar which is not a problem, except the table that came and sat next to us had table service for both food and drinks! We later then asked another waiter if we could order some drinks and were told we had to go to the bar, surely it should be the same rule for all? When clearing our table the waiter asked if we wanted puddings so we said yes we will look at the menu, but as time passed he did not come back to take our order so we went to the bar ourselves. 15 minutes or so later a waitress came over to ask if we were ok and when we mentioned the wait for puddings she very nervously assured us they’d be on their way. They eventually arrived but the whipped cream didn’t on the Eton mess as advertised, but it was still nice without. The actual food itself was lovely and good value for money and we would return again.

A cool refreshing beer and a Sauvignon wine was first on our list!! Thank goodness we just barely found seats outside overlooking the canal and were able to order a meze and spaghetti carbonara in time before the crowds showed up !!

Very poor food ...over cooked covered in grease everything we wanted was not available and the skinny fries looked like they where a good few days old everything tasted the same of grease and blandness will not be back

Beautiful setting on the canal shame the food and service doesn't match. Cold beef and mash and a brick for a Yorkshire pudding. Our waitress had obviously had a long day-completely disinterested.

I would personally recommend anybody to eat at the London Bridge Stockton Heath. Having not eaten there for over a year, me and my partner decided to eat there for lunch. Compared to previous pubs we have eaten at on a Saturday this was by far the best added by the setting next to the Bridgewater Canal. I had a Tuna Sandwich and my partner had a Bolognese Jacket Potato which was cooked perfectly. We will be definitely going back more often. Thank you.

Nice canalside eatery, great layout. Not the best pub grub I have ever had and far from the cheapest. Fish and chip's for 2 with 2 shandy's close to £31.00.

Had a lovely Sunday roast here. First time I have been here in many years and great food, great location and lovely warm friendly atmosphere. Compliments to the Head Chef Harrison and the team for looking after me. Oh, and dog friendly too. My little 4 legged pooch loved it as well.

There are loads of really nice restaurants in Stockton Heath and even though the London Bridge is a pub, I have never been disappointed, so you should go and try it for yourself!

we booked there for lunch time. We had food from the lunch time menu. I had the ham and mustard sandwich. It was amazing, best ham ever! The food was really good. Staff attentive and friendly. Place very clean and tidy.

Great location on the canal. Large outdoor beer garden & good food. Quite a few designer posers competing for attention, they were very entertaining though.

What a lovely place. Sat out side over looking canal. Lots of seating out side. Watched the baby ducks swimming by. Popped in for a drink. Menu looked great. Need to go back and have a bite to eat. Nice atmosphere

Although usually quite good tonight at this place was a disaster. Firstly the card machines were down so we had to walk into Stockton Heath to get cash out, then we got back and they didn’t have what we wanted from the menu!!!

We stopped here while travelling the Canals and was told this was a great pub from friends down in London. This really is a nice pub with a good selection of beer and friendly bar staff. Well worth a visit if you are in town or out travelling the Canals.

Love this pub and visit regularly Frank is friendly and attentive as most of his staff.. went today bank holiday Monday to spend the afternoon there, food and double gins so spending a bit of money.. the girl that served us was a disgrace!! Rude she snatched the menu from me saying you can’t order that outside I asked when food came for a drink to get told go to the bar.. two tables actually left .. shame as normally love the place

They don’t advertise that the full menu is not available outside, opting to give a ‘terrace menu’. This menu is very limited and quite frankly, very boring!

We came to the London Bridge with our clients from the local older persons day centre. Anthony the manager reserved us a lovely table. We were greeted by the lovely Becky and Craig who were very helpful, accommodating and polite. Lunch was superb and everyone cleared their plates. Our clients don’t get out often and it’s lovely that we can asses our local community pub. The wheel chair asses and facility’s make it an ideal location for us to use. Thanks to the team at the London Bridge for such a lovely afternoon.

A very busy Saturday Evening in February. Lively atmosphere, filled to the brim with people eating, drinking and having a good time. Young People, Families welcome. Dogs allowed on the outside terrace and you could eat outside if necessary. A little noisy for my taste, but enough room to go on to the covered terrace after eating, without getting cold. Food was very tasty, especially the Great North Pie, only complaint was that it could have been hotter. We did have to wait 30 minutes for the food to arrive, but this was explained when we ordered so we knew what was happening. All in All I would recommend this pub for a nice meal / evening out.

We held a buffet here for family and friends after a Funeral, the Manager is very accommodating and made the process stress free, food was excellent and overall would highly recommend for any celebration/function:-)

We have visited this great pub on many occasions and the food and service is always 1st class. The menu and choice of drinks available are great.as a vegetarian the options are great and even a Sunday lunch for us vegetarians.

Delicious food at an extremely popular venue on Christmas Day 2018. Though the bar was heaving with festive people the restaurant was tranquil. Thanks for a lovely lunchtime.

brilliant sunday lunch in a dog friendly pub. really lovely british feel about the place. Food and staff are great. Drinks selection is good particuarly for those who like draft beers and dog friendly YAY

Went there for the lunch menu and got a burger, same as the friend that I was with. It was clearly a very cheap burger of poor quality. I appreciate this is the "lunch" menu, but wow it was terrible. We both love our food and left half and told waitress it was very poor, we were offered a dessert or another beer, but wanted neither. Exceedingly disappointed, if you cannot provide decent quality food at a price then don't offer it as it will lead to reviews like this. Last food visit here I'm afraid.

Came here for lunch with my elderly clients from the local day centre. Had booked in advance. We arrived to a lovely warm festive setting with coal fires and table laid out beautiful. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We all had the roast Turkey dinner and it was perfect. The Chef came out to say hello what a lovely lad he was too(Riley). Thank you to all the staff at the London Bridge who gave the pensioners a lovely afternoon.

Didn't find this pub very cosy, warm or inviting. Seating is mostly hard wood dining chairs. The menu is very limited. My dish of sizzling Chicken curry was dry and over spiced. the staff were helpful and friendly however. I wouldn't rush back

We had to send the fish back because it wasn't cooked and the batter was soggy. They took back a gammon main course to keep it warm, but by the time they brought the replacement fish they had ruined the gammon and chips. Next they brought the wrong desserts. No compensation was offered. Like gourmet night at Fawlty Towers.

Had an impromptu lunch on a Wednesday. It was quite quiet plenty of room reasonably quick. Scampi was nice chips large like chip shop served in basket with tartare sauce and peas . Steak and Kidney pudding was hard like a pie not like suet pudding. Food was ok . Bar service is good ambiance is good.

Cycling home from work, often passing this place and wondering why it always looks as busy as you'd expect on a Saturday night... I decided to investigate and have learned first hand why this is a clear place to be! Books are available for those wanting private quiet time, coal fires roaring and drawing you in from the outside cold, families dining, chatting and feeling very at home and comfortable. I will return another time to sample the menu for sure.

Another lovely meal from this great place to eat. I can never fault the wonderful food and friendly staff at The London Bridge.

The pub is the most modern in the Stockton Heath / Appleton area though it still isn’t fantastic.

Quiet for a Sunday but considering the gas wasn't working and they were having problems at least they managed to come up with a turkey roast. Good nosh though and hot. We sat outside which wasn't too bad actually. Well laid out. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice views of the canal.

We regularly visit here for both food and a quick canalside drink after walking the dog. Its a nice place, good atmosphere and dog friendly.

A large family group spent well over two hours and well over£200 at the pub recently for a family birthday. Whilst allocated a nice large room for us to spread out in and initially our large drinks order taken quickly, things rapidly declined.

I've just sat down to a nice black coffee and a delicious half chicken and fries. Reasonably priced, good service and a great start to the weekend. I would recommend The London Bridge as a great place to go out for lunch.

This is my local and it’s fantastic. If you love a great atmosphere, friendly staff, great customer service and a bloody gorgeous homemade cheese pie then this is the place for you! It’s also dog friendly too !

Been to the London Bridge Inn 3 times now, it’s a lovely venue, tucked away just by the canal. Staff very friendly and helpful if a bit young and inexperienced. Only thing letting the place down is the food, it’s bang average, which isn’t awful but what kills me and means I won’t order from there again, is the extortionate prices and tiny portion size, honestly if your a fully grown man, a main course is never going to fill you. Starter portions are literally a joke, orders loaded potato skins once, I got one potato skin for £4.95. Scampi and chips for £12 odd, came with about 5 pieces of scampi and 10 chips and a few peas rolling around. Food not terrible by any means but it’s just far too expensive for so little. Shame cos if they got it right and knocked £2-3 of most mains or upped the portion size, it would probably be the best pub in Stockton Heath.

My visit was in June and I was very disappointed to be charged £3.65 for a pint of Carlesberg which I pay £2.20 for in the town center so I and my friends will not be going there again for a very long time.

I visited the London bridge Inn last week to meet up with friends and not only were the staff polite and professional, they were also a good laugh. The food was excellent, complimented with a beautiful view of the Bridgewater canal in the sun!

It looked a great pub to have Sunday lunch in. It was, great setting, lovely interior, plenty of choices beer/food and on the canal. Such a gorgeous day ideal setting. Two young grandsons 3 months/ 3 years joined us with my daughter/partner. Plenty of room inside as most were out on the sun deck, but being inside suited us all. Bar staff helpful and plenty of them. food ordered good selection. 2 Salmon salads came one had a standard piece of fish on the other was a disgrace. Just bigger than 2 fingers of chips. How the chef had the cheek to send to out i don't know. It was returned and replaced 15 minutes later. The waitress apologised but we said tell the chef he had a nerve to think a customer would accept a piece of Salmon that size. Desserts were fine and the 3 year old grandson had a lovely dinner of chicken nuggets. We did enjoy the visit overall especially it being a sunny day, and its location. Sadly let down by a short sighted chef.

Visit often and always pleased with the ambience and service - staff always very courteous and efficient. It's a popular local pub for all age groups and outside area well attended, would recommend.
