The best restaurants serving Indian food in South East

Took a punt and was so glad I did - the food is seriously impressive for a takeaway place. Fantastic chikka tikka and lamb jalfrezi - both were pipping hot and incredibly flavoursome. Vegetable dishes did not disappoint either and my go-to staple order - the one thing I order in every Indian restaurant - Tarka Dhal was again delicious. Great little business which deserves to succeed.

Had a couple of sit down meals here recently. Decor is a little dated but the food and service was excellent. Very good value for money as well. Would definitely recommend.

Restaurant has now closed. It was set up as a Chai Cafe but that has also closed. No notice#to say what is happening. chutney is opposite and is very good

We were missing garlic naan bread, awaiting refund

Food came in plenty of time the only thing I didn't like was the lamb naan bread was soggy big portions which I liked I couldn't finish mine but my two friends did

We regularly eat ‘Indian’ foods and we were all impressed with the range of dishes. The pickle tray with the popadoms was very generous. We particularly enjoyed the chicken biryani vegetable sauce and the butternut squash beef, but all of the food was delicious. Overall it was excellent value for money, we shall certainly visit again!

We've been loyal customers of Saffron Summer for years and have always considered it our go-to for local Indian takeaway. Unfortunately, our last two orders have been really disappointing. The dishes we usually enjoy were completely different – the rich, flavorful sauces have been replaced with something more like a bland gravy. We initially thought it might have just been an off night, so we gave them another chance, but sadly, tonight’s meal was just as bad, if not worse. It feels like something significant has changed – possibly new management or a different chef – and the quality just isn’t what it used to be. It’s such a shame, because we’ve genuinely loved their food for so long. Regrettably, we won’t be ordering from them again.

Lovely food and excellent delivery driver. Still delivered with no problems although I had the wrong address down. Love this place. Highly recommended

Really disappointing. Had several orders from here prior to this. Way too late, food was cold and the tikka wrap was a mess. Ripped and just messy. That’s the last time we order from there

The food was fine, but unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. The staff lacked the warmth and attentiveness you'd typically expect from a dining place. In fact, they came across as borderline rude. The female waitress in particular seemed uninterested in basic courtesies; they wouldn't even acknowledge a simple "thank you." It's disappointing when decent food is overshadowed by poor hospitality. Definitely not the kind of experience that makes you want to return.

Fantastic food, as always. Easily the best in Maidstone.
