Meghdoots Mystique Masala

Petworth, Chichester
17/06/2018: The usual pleasure to visit. The adraki barrah (lamb and ginger kebab) might split opinion, popular with two of our party but not with two others. Mango lassis went down as well, Cobra delicious - but does it really need to be £5 per pint?
17/06/2018: My Family , Table of four were given a table by the Window , near front desk . The booking was made same day . The service was poor not busy ... 6:45 pm . To get the order taken by the waiter was a...

The Banyan

Easebourne, Chichester
04/05/2018: Been coming here last 3 weeks prices go up every time think there over priced now will be last time come shame as is pritty good food but doesn't justify price rise
15/04/2018: I staged my 70th birthday party at the Banyan in mid-March. From the web-site (under "Events") I found a choice of 3 menus for private parties and the information that they can seat up to 50 people (there were 46 of us) and cater for more than that buffet-style.

Madhu Ban Tandoori Restaurant

East Wittering, Chichester, 20-30£
12/06/2018: We had intended to go elsewhere but couldn't so we tried here. Well, what a delightful meal. Food was as good as any I've had including London. Staff were faultless and really nice. Got good meal advice to boot! We will be back again, just need them to open locally in Bournemouth lol.
31/05/2018: An excellent little restaurant with good food and friendly staff. We tried it whilst on holiday due to the good reviews on here. We were so impressed after our visit, we went back the following night for a takeaway! I would recommend it, and would definitely go again.

Basmati Indian Restaurant Petworth

Petworth, Chichester, <20£
22/05/2018: Came across the Basmati almost by accident, and very glad we did. It's unusual in that you go under the streets and into linked, white-painted tunnels, former cellars I believe - but don't be put off by the underground setting. It's not at all claustrophobic...
21/05/2018: Had a lovely meal here, not overly expensive. Food very tasty and they even cooked a dish not even on the menu. Staff very discreet but on hand for anything. Loved how it was located in the cellar, very quirky. Would certainly go back, shame...

India Gate

Chichester East, Chichester
11/06/2018: I visited on a monday night, and took advantage of the buffet night , which is actually a starter , main, side dish , bread or rice, dessert /coffee.
13/04/2018: We visited on Monday night to take advantage of Banquet Night which advertises 5 courses for £13.95. Having been caught out elsewhere before we asked the waiter (manager?) when he brought the menus what was included. He sneered and said "it says clearly on the menu what's included". However the page he was referring to was only in one of the two menus he had given us but there was no apology. The food was excellent so no complaints there but when the bill came, we were charged normal prices for each dish, in other words no "Banquet Night" discount. When we queried it, the same waiter/manager said he hadn't realised we were on the deal. I would have thought that given it was a very wet Monday night and the restaurant was full, it would have been reasonable to assume that everyone was on the deal. When he gave us a revised bill, it was not itemised and came to £48.10, which is still rather steep - 2 x £13.95 plus 3 pints of Cobra, making the Cobra over £7 each.

India Gate at Kings Head

Chichester East, Chichester
10/06/2018: out first visit here and the quality was excellent, great portion sizes and excellent customer services. they even brought out an extra dessert as it was our friends birthday even though we hadn't mention it they had just noticed the card on the table
31/05/2018: We were staying nearby at the Park holidays resort so we popped in for an evening meal.

Moonlight Tandoori

East Wittering, Chichester
29/05/2018: Service was good and friendly but food was very average. I had the chicken Korma, somehow tasted like cheese when they don't use cheese?? Poppadoms tasted of nothing. Took a while for food to come when we were the only ones there.
12/04/2018: Reviewed this place 4 years ago when we had a great meal. Sadly not so impressive this time. The flavour was bland and average would be my best score. Service was good and the place was busy. Even the naan bread seemed warmed up rather than fresh. Disappointing.

New asian spice

Selsey South, Chichester
18/06/2018: Good honest curry dishes and alway will adapt to ur tastes Can get very busy at weekends. They do takeaway service. Worth a try
03/06/2018: We have been very loyal going here for about three years now since buying a property in Selsey. My wife and I turned up, and there was a table of 6 and another table of 12 in the front room, thus a lot of spare...

Old Cottage Indian

Chichester South, Chichester
08/06/2018: eat early in the evening with the restaurant already half full which was good sign. Looked a good mixture of locals and tourists....good attentive service, nice food (though not outstanding)...a good choice
27/05/2018: Korma was good, definitely had better though. Pompadoms were moorish and the chutney was scummy. Service was impeccable.

Memories of India Bosham

Chichester North, Chichester
07/06/2018: Went in June 2018 and could not get over the value, bill was £123 for 6 people including drinks, starters, mains, sides and puddings! Food was of a high quality, far better than the price would suggest. Could not rate this highly enough - go there!
11/05/2018: Always a great experience at Memories. Recently looked for something different on the menu and the restaurant kindly prepared a lamb Tariwala as opposed to the duck, which is on the menu. Great made with ordinary lamb instead of tikka. Can thoroughly recommend this long standing restaurant at Bosham.

Spicy Soul

Chichester East, Chichester
27/05/2018: We rang to order a take away to pick up and were told it would be 45 minutes. That’s quite a long time for collection but it was a Saturday night so we figured they must be busy. When we got there it wasn’t ready. It seemed several people were waiting. We finally got ours over an hour after ordering and were disappointed with the results. The sag baji was swimming in grease. The mint dip that came with the salad didn’t taste at all minty, just sweet and looked like Thousand Island dressing. The paneer tikka was really tasty but the tarka dal was very had an odd smell and flavour to it. My husband said it reminded him of mosquito repellent and I thought it tasted of the smell of those hot flannels they give you at the end of a meal. Not very appealing to say the least. It was a shame because the dal was a good texture and not too oily, just the right thickness but the unidentifiable flavour was very off-putting. My husband’s dansak was okay but a bit lacking in flavour. I wouldn’t order there again.
05/02/2018: This was recommended to us by a friend and we would definitely get a takeaway from again. Great value, broad menu, good set menu, delivered on time. Well done.

Green Chilli

Chichester South, Chichester
22/12/2017: This is my local Indian takeaway. It's not flashy but it is always of a good standard. Everything I have ever ordered has been very tasty. The staff are polite and the prices are fair. The best Indian I have tried in Chichester,
22/12/2017: We have used this takeaway and delivery service for 5 years. Consistently great food and service. Authentic flavours and always delivered hot. Very highly recommended.

Masala Gate

Chichester East, Chichester
06/10/2016: Went for meal on Monday and the place is shut. Tried 'phoning no answer. So looks like the best curry house in Chichester is no more for the tome being.
05/10/2016: We ordered a late takeaway. Service was awful. food was ok, Chicken Tikka meat tasted like it had been defrosted quickly. Not great, complained, no refund, should have taken it back in apparently, instead of binning it.

Jabir Indian

Selsey South, Chichester
26/05/2018: Me and my family often come here, always brilliant service and great food. They cater for large orders too and even offer discount.
02/04/2018: Couldn’t fault the place. after a long day shopping in Portsmouth, we get back needing some food and chill out time. Ordered the curry as told will be ready in 30 minutes. Cost just £37 for 4 of us. I arrived and the food was...
