What a fantastic restaurant with impeccable service. We really felt welcomed and cared for all evening.

Worst experience ever. We entered to the restaurant at 1 pm asking dine in. Restaurant Close 2 pm. Front staff was refusing our request even the restaurant is fully available . Is this the way you are building your customer service ? Date 10.01.2024

Korma was like a bowl of dog water gross, wet, and not authentic, bland and really disgusting... honestly AVOID! Went back for a refund and used contactless but I think the guy just charged me for a new curry then refunded it immediately to keep the money I originally paid even though I didn't eat most of it and brought it back. Truly the worst in the area! Hope they go out of business

Think this is the worst Curry I have ever had. Had a chicken Korai and it was more like a week soup. No flavour and pure onion slop. The chick was nice in the dish but that’s all I can say. Never again !!!!!!

I have moved in close by last year and tried out with a friend as my Birthday for first time I can not fault the service or quality of food it was 100% We both had a great meal and will recommend

Not only is it the only place that doesn't stop serving food at 3 or 7pm in the whole of Wittering, but the food is fantastic - one of the best indians I've ever had (and I grew up near the curry mile, and now live near Brick Lane). The service is also excellent. They could improve their guide-dog policy though.

Normally the deliverys are of a good standard not so yesterday 21/5/23. The rice was not freshly cooked and the potatoes in the curry were hard and inedible. Very disappointing!,

We went again last night, 2nd time in 3 weeks. Great food and friendly service as always. Both Sumon and Lipon always ensure we are well looked after, they both have a good sense of humour which makes us feel welcome. Easily 5 stars for the food and service/friendliness. See you again soon!

Seriously this place is amazing ! Shuman is such a lovely guy who makes the best shots and makes you feel so welcome, the food is the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve eaten in alot of curry houses in London and Basingstoke) can’t recommend this place enough - give it a try , you won’t be sorry!

Awful The restaurant was empty except for one other table which should’ve rang alarm bells when everywhere else was fully booked .All our meals ,the chicken was so tough that we didn’t eat it , our friends curry was inedible as the flavouring was putrid ,Three of The dishes were cold . we complained about our meal and we were rudely told that nobody else has complained that night and that next time we went here they would knock some money off ,they really will NOT be a next time

Good overall, but some dishes much better than others. The Chicken Tikka Masala was quite sweet and heavy in coconut, which is why it did not score a 5 star rating.

Ordered meal for 6pm today. Was ready on time and they added nice dipping sauce, onion and poppadoms. The meal was hot and delicious. Will definitely go back

Great food, great service, nice location, reasonable prices so easy 5 star rating from me. Very extensive menu with all the usual offerings plus some really interesting specials using sea bass, monk fish, and even ostrich. Would not hesitate to return if/when in the area again.

Excellent service and food. We liked that they have a great variety of options in the menu, including ostrich. I had a lovely sea bass Raj Bata which was rich and spicy.

Food was bland and the service and attitude on the waiters was disgusting it was like they didn’t want you in there rude and very arrogant living fairly local would I visit again ?? NO CHANCE!!

Staying in East wittering we thought we would enjoy a meal in this place.. the service was poor, food was snatched away so our mains could be served altogether a rushed experience. The food was bland.

Quite simply the best Indian food I've eaten for many years. Well presented, cooked superbly, tasted sublime. My wife's mother and grandma lived out in India for decades and brought back to England tastes and styles of cooking far nicer than many restaurants. I worked on ships with Indian crews who produced delicious Indian meals and curry. So my experiences of UK indian restaurants, trying to second guess what Brits wanted in or expected from 'Induan cuisine' has been a mix of delight and disappointment. Tonight at the New Lee Raj we had a superb meal. Rich, and full of gee, cream, gentle spices and lovely tasting stuff that wouldn't be healthy day after day, but for a treat and a great meal out it was one of the best. Huge portions, frest vegetables and ingredients, we couldn't finish but every mouthful was delicious.

Amazing food with delicious flavours all in a great ambience with exceptional staff who are professional and extremely friendly. Highly recommend trying the chicken Kalia, the Katiy kebab plus many more wonderful dishes. Well worth a visit.

Food ok. Very slow took over an hour for our food to arrive, somethings we ordered never arrived at all.

Spent 2 hours of my life here, awaiting a curry......had starters, 2 bottles of wine... no curry. Had forks (and not enough) thrown at us when we asked for cutlery. A local curry house, WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN!

Extremely tasty food! No need to book they usually have space. Staff could be slightly friendlier they seemed on edge and we dod have a fair wait for food so dont go hungry! But I cannot fault the food and itd worth the wait, knowing its fresh and great quality!

Chicken shashlick was not enjoyable or tasty, Bombay Potatoes were OK. My ever hungry son didn't even eat his chicken tikka masalla. In general, overpriced and mediocre.

Stunning food, best we've ever had

Such a shame as use these on a regular basis. Ordered a takeaway through just eat as we normally do, 1 hour and a half later our food turned up and was warm, when opened the bag to put on plate our main curry was missing so we had rice, naan, popdom with no curry, phone theme explaining this and no apology and was quite rude on the phone and did not seem bothered, 15 minutes later a vegetable curry arrived and tasted like veg soup, with cold rice, sadly will not be using again.

The Chicken Tikka Bhuna was very good. The kids thought the Korma was good, but the Naan breads were a bit on the oily side of things. It's pleasant enough atmosphere- but there are much better curry houses elsewhere, saying that I'd go back again if we are down this way again.

Excellent grub. Superior to the other Indian restaurant at the end of the road and far, far superior to the dreadful takeaway opposite.

Best takeaway in the area! Great price, great portion sizes and the quality/taste was also great. Food ready in 20mins, next time I'm in the area I'll definitely pop in for a sit down meal.

Had the most amazing curry here last night. Starter, main, rice or naan and a side for £12.96 - it was the best curry I have had for about three years, service was excellent, nice wine selection at good prices - can’t beat it .

We had a terrible experience with New Lee Raj and do NOT recommend them. They happily took our takeaway order at 19.00 on Saturday night advising our delivery would take 50min to an hour, which was fine with us. 20.15 no takeaway, we phoned to ask for an update and they had clearly lost our order promising it would be with us in another 20 minutes. 21.00 still no food and when we phoned again for an update the manager became aggressive with us and hung up the phone. We had to call on numberous occassions for an update and All the staff we spoke to were rude, angry and had no control of their business. The food finally turned up at 21.45 delivered by a driver who said ‘I’m not going back there’ which clearly suggested, we were not the only customers that evening who had terrible customer service from New Lee Raj. MINUS STARS on and the food was tasteless!

Absolutely awesome food, during busy times you may have to wait a bit. But brilliant food. Photo is of bar/waiting area, I can't take pics of random people. It was a packed restaurant. Take some cash to leave a tip!

I’ve had a better curry from Tesco’s!!!will not be ordering from them again , potatoes not fully cooked,chicken tikka masala didn’t smell or taste right at all , my family and I are extremely disappointed !!!

We booked a table for 2 people 4 hours before arival and was told when we arrived to come back an hour later. Needless to say we never returned. They weren't even apologetic, due to rude staff we'll avoid this place in the future.

Food arrived 30 minutes early, no advising call to check it was OK, luckily I was in to receive delivery. Wish I hadn't, all food....rice....naan bread, curries, samosas stone cold poppadoms mildly warm. Portions tiny, will not be using again, will stick to Saffron in the village. Worst curry I have ever had.

Christmas Day at The Moonlight Tandoori. Well looked after and good food. A great way to eat at Christmas and a remarkable price too. What more could you want. Try and enjoy a non cook Christmas experience!

We went to Moonlight Tandoori last night and it was fantastic. All five of us enjoyed our meals. Beautifully cooked. I chose my meal based on the recommendation of the manager, as I have an intolerance (not allergy) to dairy and also gluten, to a lesser degree. I think the food is prepared in the same area as these foods but as mine is an intolerance and not an allergy this didn't hugely matter. Our waiter was attentive and sincere. Toilets were very clean. One of the best Indian meals I've had and will go there again.

Ordered a takeaway... got half the order after waiting ages and then got mugged on the collection discount... Avoid as total bandits ... place across the road is much better quality

Don’t use !!!!!Ordered a chicken tikka masala forme an mrs . we had bad food poisoning wife was in hospital for 3 days phoned and spoke to owner to warn in case anybody else had same curry terrible not even a sorry from the owner do not use !!!!!

Food was tasty. A medium-hot curry tasted quite mild. Service was good but quite slow, so we didn't end up having dessert or coffee.

Told on the phone the takeaway would be an hour for collection. Went to collect and had to wait in the takeaway for an extra 40 minutes and had to keep asking for the food. Eventually got it and some food was hot and other bits weren’t. The restaurant was empty so the wait wasn’t due to a lot of orders. There was a group of 3 people eating in the restaurant and they ordered more drinks and were told there was no beer left. Would avoid this takeaway!! It only got 1 star as there is no option for 0 stars.

Very average, flavours virtually the same in different currys.

As it was a special occasion (my birthday) we decided to eat there rather than order for takeaway (our family are local and regular customers and not normally sitting in the restaurant). The guy serving us was moody and gave an atmosphere like we wronged him in some way. We felt very awkward in there and left quickly after finishing our food. The meal itself was ok. I ordered a hot spicy meal but it wasn't spicy at all so personally I was very disappointed.

Good food. I joined the group late but understand there was quite a wait for food even though the restaurant want completely full, and asking numerous times. Tables and chairs are pretty tightly packed in.

I live in North Mundham and my partner and I often go to wittering beach to walk our dog,last friday 18th sept being one of those time,we decided that we would try the moonlight tandoori for a take away as it had been recommended by friends.Unfortunately we WILL NOT be going back,when we got our meal home it was someone elses order so my partner rang them to explain,they asked for us to drive back which is at least 20mins away,but he said no as we had a drink,so eventually they agreed to bring our meal out to us,and yes it was on time,but again there was items missing and it was very cold the Tikka Masala was bland we did not get anything complimentry or even a sorry,i think this is outragous after paying a lot of money.These people need to have lessons in customer service from Masala gate in Chichester as they know how to treat there customers . .
