The best restaurants serving British food in West Wales

With 1 hour notice you guys u fead 30 people with starters mains/carvery as 1 of the options and deserts I had a mix grill myself it was delicious a big thank you as another pub let us down do not want to name it thanks Steve and the staff x

Beautiful place, lovely service, amazing food.

The atmosphere is lovely, feels like a nice and comfortable place to have your coffee/snacks. There is an upstairs also, which many don’t seem aware of as it’s always empty up there. I like the feel, love the selection of snacks eg pastries/chocolate treats. So it’s worth a visit. However, the staff are not great. They are quite rude and short tempered. The person I met for coffee there came back from the counter saying he would never come back as they had experienced the rudest service. I had already had a mistake in my order happen, and when I went back up to explain this I was met with a half hearted attitude, when I seemed surprised at this there was a clear passive aggressive quick change in attitude. But I didn’t do anything further, I just accepted the mistake because i didn’t want the fuss. I must add the crockery isn’t as clean as it could be either. All this aside, if you take the staff out of the equation, it’s a great place feel, nice location, great deco, great tasting drinks and snacks

Very disappointed with what was offered there today. The meat was cold and not quite as described in their garb. What veg we had was luke warm at best!. Only served roasties, no mash or boiled spuds. Beef was tasteless but the pork was nice. On leaving noticed that other tables had been served veg which was not served to ours, (what's that all about🤷‍♂️) Having read the reviews I expected much better than what was served. One of the servers didn't know the difference between crumble and tart after saying that crumble was available🫣 They don't appreciate a honest review on FB either as it gets you blocked🚫 Had better and certainly warmer at Toby's! Once bitten twice shy...won't be back!

Myself and my partner attended as a walk in for breakfast, we were shown to pur table by a very pleasant lady on reception, we were then attended to by a very cheery pleasant male waiter, who gave us clean menus, took our orders and then served our food, we both had full English breakfasts, due to my husbands dietary requirements, we had to remove some items from the breakfast (we do this alot it's not place specific) and as a result the waiter offered us extras of the other items on the plate to make up of the items my husband doesn't like, I'm very pleased with how spectacular the food tasted, and how it was presented. Thank you.

We stayed here for a wedding weekend. Accommodation wasn't great, needs updating. No staff around, the cook was extremely rude and confrontational. Overall was really disappointed.

We had the Sunday lunch. The chicken was ready for immediate consumption but the veg took 20 minutes to cook 🤷‍♀️ We also had beef which was reformed. The veg were in foil trays and had to be reheated. Totally tasteless. Later we thought we would try the fish and chips. (We were staying locally.) The chips were soggy, as if they had been left over and re fried in not hot enough old oil. The fish was grey and chewy. Horrible.

Very good choice of beers. They serve Cruzcampo which I really like so happy with that. Four friends had food after a few beers Fast service, no painful wait- about 15 minutes which was great for a relaxed evening. I had the home made lasagne with the usual chips snd salad. The lasagne was definitely home made and very nice. The curry half and half was decent without being outstanding, sort of regular pub served curry in a good sized portion. The scampi was very good and a decent portion too. All in all very good value. We wondered why there were quite a lot if under 10s in the pub on a Saturday night....the answer, a kids menu for just £1 Our kids are grown now but it's good to see a pub offering such an affordable deal and getting families out together.

After a long day went in for a drink and something to eat, got my drink and was then informed that the kitchen had just closed, it was 5-55!!! Not happy, not as website!!

Poor customer service Other | £10–20 Came in yesterday after seeing they were doing happy hour signs outside and multiple signs inside . Asked the bar man if I could see what drinks were available on happy hour, he didn’t know couldn’t find the list despite all the signage advertising happy hour . Was told you can have an aperol spritz and that all ! Told him list advertised on social media not interested. Attitude was take it or leave it ! Restaurant not busy at the time or outside. Please don’t advertise all over the premises you’re offering something that your bar staff are clearly not Interested in giving. At the least the spritz was well made .

This was our experience on the night arrived at 7pm order taken 7.30 food arrived at 8.25 wife's shepherd pie so hot burnt mouth, asked for medium rare steak arrived medium well done, when finished ask for menu for sweet waited 15mins nobody asked what we like so didn't bother as getting late, paid and left. Was going to mention about food but really didn't want to wait again.

Wow best Sunday lunch in years so full no room for a dessert🤣

Had a pint , nice pint Stella and budweiser , nice crowd in bar very welcoming Cracking little pub

We as a family recently visited Tafarn Tanerdy. A lovely warm welcome on arrival. We had an excellent experience. The staff could not do enough for us. We had a variety meals which were all delicious. Highly recommended
