Excellent Sunday lunch very friendly staff would definitely recommend although booking is advisable as it's a very popular place. Will definitely be back when in the area. Thank you (Alexandra's grandparents ❤)

My wife and I had Sunday lunch at "The Fishers" and without a doubt, it proved to be the best (by far) Sunday lunch that we've had for many an year! The quality and quantity of the meal reflected a "true value of money. The beef was awesome, along with the fresh veg. etc. Nice, friendly owners - can't wait to visit there again, when i, m next in the area.

Myself and my family had Sunday lunch to take away and wow, it was amazing!! We all had beef. Great portion size and lovely variety of vegetables. It was all really tasty and the gravy was the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to eat there again.

Went into the Fishers for a drink with the family whilst on holiday. The landlady was very welcoming and took the Covid issue very seriously. We sat in the garden and ended up nattering with her and her daughter for a while. Went back in a couple of days later for food and was more than happy. I had chilli, which was one of the tastiest ive had. My wife had lasagne which was delicious. This is an old pub who have dealt with the difficult times very well. I would definately recommend.

We don’t get down here many Sundays. Came here with dad for lunch today. The roasts are excellent quality and value. The standard roast was a great portion and both meats were cooked perfectly. I rarely have Roast beef but decided to try it. So glad I did. It was beautifully cooked and the vegetables to accompany were just right. Plenty of gravy also. Squeezed in cheesecake for dessert. Light & tasty. The welcome here is second to none. Living in Cardiff we have loads to choose from , but we’d choose here over most of our options. I highly recommend this little slice of Sunday lunch heaven. Thank you

Old fashioned pub, run by very friendly & welcoming landlady. Choice of beef or turkey, with various plate sizes depending on appetite, served with 7 different vegetables, the cauliflower cheese was best ever, it arrived with lovely brown top! The vegetables were piping hot without being overcooked! Excellent choice of sweets, priced at only £3-25!!! Went for excellent trifle, with plenty of fruit & cream, Mum had banana split, again excellent. If I lived closer would be there every Sunday! Do need to book in advance.

Lovely pub and food. Welcoming and friendly landlady and the chilli was beaut, good portion sizes will be visiting again soon.

I have eaten many a times at the fishers and have never had a bad meal, the service has always been excellent! Diane goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect with your meal and drinks and if informed that you weren't happy about something she would instantly rectify the problem! Food is really really reasonable! The Sunday lunch is beautiful all veg is freshly peeled and plenty of meat and the gravy to die for! Pub is clean and friendly atmosphere! Would defo return to this great place!

Just got back from the the Fishers Arms. Credit where credit is due. The food was lovely. Remember you are eating in a pub not a gourmet restaurant. Lasagna, Ribeye Steak and Hunters Chicken. Three starters Two jack daniels and a pint of larger £47.00 fantastic value for money. Very tasty food could not fault it. Would come back and recommend it. Thank you very much

While heading home from a trip out decided to stop here rather than the usual McDonalds or KFC drive through for a change. What a pleasant surprise. Made to feel welcome despite being on my own and found a relaxed atmosphere and a proper Sunday dinner for less than I spend on a fast food meal. Will happily be eating here again, good value, good food and great atmosphere.

I have been here a few times now and come back because the food is great and the landlady is lovely. A warm, welcoming place with lovely food - which is way too cheap for the amount you get! It’s a lovely old C16th building and I am told even has its own resident ghost! Looking forward to popping in when visiting from Berkshire

Pub near caravans so thought we might try it but outside was filthy with fag ends everywhere. Decided to go elsewhere luckily. What a shame as it might have been good inside.

Booked in for a Friday for 3 nights & for a hard standing with hook up we arrived at 1.30pm to find the place closed we rang the bell several times and waited for another hour mean while we went and parked up & hooked up only to find that the electric run on cards (pay as you go) At the time of booking it would have been a good idea to let us know that the place is closed on a Friday of all days ! & to state that the hook up is not included in the price. If at any time anyone wishes to stay at the Fishers & book for a long week end The owners should make it clear that they are not open Fridays or make sure they have someone at the reception area. The site itself was small and mainly permanent Caravans with about 3 hard standings, we cannot comment on the food because we left & went to a beautiful clean site in Cenarth falls, it's a shame because the Fishers lost a lot of money

We called in on spec to get an evening meal. The landlady was very friendly and showed us to the charming dining room, away from the noisy bar. The food was well cooked and plentiful, with a good range to suit everybody. I went with the land lady’s recommendation and had the steak and ale pie. If was full of tender meat, a real delight. With a fine range of sweets and a good selection of beers in pleasant surroundings, we had a great evening.

Cinco de nosotros llame comida en camino a un concierto. Casera muy acogedor y servicial. Nos sentamos para nuestra comida en la zona de restaurante, que era preciosa. La comida llegó rápido y todo estaba caliente y porciones grandes. No me puedo quejar cinco platos vacíos lo dijo todo. Comeré de nuevo.

my wife and i and daughter called in last fri for a meal the landlady was very nice the locals were freindly the food was lovely. i had to write a reply after reading the last review i think it is very unfair that people write a reveiw and slate the staff and food. if they have a proplem with a place speak to them directly and not hide behind a computer. its easy for someone to go away and slate a place from they own home. to scared to speak to the owners . anyway my wife and i shall defo be calling there again

Not a very welcoming place, landlady should find another profession, ( can I recommend Bull fighting ?) Avoid.

We have eaten here a few times now and have always had very good service and delicious food. Their Sunday roasts are amazing and can highly recommend them. Lovely little pub

Hemos comido aquí en muchas ocasiones y nunca he tenido una mala comida. Yo no creo que las malas críticas ya que la comida es abundante y sabroso. La señora que lleva el pub es encantador y se sienten todos los clientes. Sí, esta es por lo tanto un pub que sirve comida de pub ... pero muy buena comida de pub.

A great traditional menu that would fit everybody's taste. Gorgeous food and plenty of it. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, a friendly bar seperate from a cosy dining area. Will definitely go back and highly recommended

Es un pub. No hay mucho más que decir. La comida no era de lo mejor que había en los pubs de Gales, pero también no estaba completamente malo.

Pub is now managed by Diane and Roger. The pub is spotlessly clean, and there is always a warm welcome. The bar is very pleasant, and has a wide range of drinks. Have eaten several meals here, and they were all well cooked and delicious. Portions are large, and the chef uses good quality ingredients. Would recommend anyone to give it a try. The pub also has a 5 star rating for hygiene. A great place!

I have not used the restaurant yet and I know the licensees are trying hard to attract diners.However, I have called in for a pint or two on numerous occasions and the welcome is so very friendly.Call in for a beer, dine if you want to give it a try, but don't drive past !

Lovely welcoming and friendly family pub. Home made food cooked to order,large portions variety of dishes. Sunday lunches amazing. Separate dining room very cosy. Not expensive. Regular entertainment in bar. I highly recommend it.

lovely This was our first visit to here site and we loved it. its is very Peaceful and clean and staff and residents are really friendly. Lovely facilities. friendly and not that expensive. my brothers really enjoyed the entertainment and the food cant wait to go again next year we all loved it :) xxx

Had a great meal with friends for a birthday celebration. Food was lovely, plenty of it. The dining room was out from the main bar so very cosy and personal. Staff were friendly and cheerful. I highly recommend it!

Really disappointed waited ages for food huge plates small portions tiny slice of meat drowned in gravy. Very un clean glad to get out of the place will never return. Whole family was ill the following day rubbish

They say appearances can be deceiving as they've clearly put a lot of money into the website and menu, yet neglected to inform the chef that plates with food on should be hot ! A large group of us were seated down in the main restaurant room with a nice big cosy fire (well I imagine it would have been, had it been lit) the room was very cold. After waiting well over an hour for our food, to say I was disappointed would be a massive understatement..... I had the 10oz Rump, 5oz's of fat and 5oz's of tasteless, chewy steak (which again was luke warm) accompanied by barely cooked chips and a couple of pieces of cold garlic toast (did I mention that everything was cold?) some may ask why we didn't complain.... we did, we made it quite clear that it was possibly one of the worst meals we'd had, I ate what I could and proceeded to pay and leave vowing never to return.

We visited this pub several times during our stay in Whitland, and on our last night decided to eat there, after sampling the fantastic chips the friendly bar staff whipped up for us on one of the previous nights. I can honestly say I have never eaten so much in one sitting before. Rather wonderfully, you can choose whichever three sides you'd like from an extensive list to accompany your main dish, so your meal can be tailored to your own personal taste.When our food arrived, it was a ginormous serving of probably the best carbonara I have ever tasted, along with my three sides. Despite making a valiant attempt, I was unable to eat all of my food, although each and every part of it was delicious. The bar staff are absolutely lovely, and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and welcome there. The dining room itself is great too; an annexe away from the main bit of the pub, with thick stone walls and a huge open fireplace. Look out for the placemats!

Christie and Steve have taken over the Fishers and are making great steps to provide new facilities to the pub especially the food. The nearby caravan facilities were full when we arrived so early booking needed.
