Second to none. Super food, very quick too. Lovely attentive service. Huge thanks to Shauna for a really lovely lunchtime family get together. Always love coming here. Will be back soon.

Lovely food, service and atmosphere, but really let down by the wi-fi. Maybe nothing to do with the pub owners or staff - probably more to do with the brewery (Marston's). Yes, there's wi-fi and it may be good, but to register to use it, you have to enter your date of birth (not unreasonable) but to do that, you have to swipe backwards through each individual month from the current date, back to your birth month. No option to enter the date, or go back a year per swipe. Even for a recent 18 year old, that's 216 swipes, but for me... let's say it's considerably more. Sure, you don't go to the pub to surf the internet, but some of us have jobs we need to keep in touch with. Marston's (or pub proprietor) - if you don't want customers to use your wi-fi, just turn it off. Oh, and let me know when it's done, so it's worth visiting again.

An extremely pleasant evening. We've only lived in the area for just over a year and wanted somewhere to go on Christmas Eve. My husband found Tafarn Tanerdy. We thought we'd give it a go. The food was good quality, flavoursome and hot. We had the lasagne snd gammon. The staff is friendly and hardworking. The people lovely and sociable. It was a very enjoyable evening. The tribute singer presented ABBA Her name was Lisa Starlight Baker, and she was outstanding in her delivery of the songs. It was free to watch, too. We will definitely go again and take family, too. .

The meal (turkey dinner) was overall very good, especially the roast potatoes. The turkey was not dry but the veg was overdone for me but that's a personal preference. Could have had one more slice of turkey, two wasn't quite enough. But the meal was tasty and hot and complemented by good gravy. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pud with ice cream, it was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and the overall meal was very enjoyable with nice Christmassy decor which helped get us all in the spirit. Thank you Tanerdy.

We went for lunch, the food was lovely and the staff were really nice and friendly great choice of food , my only problem was that the toilet facilities were not clean and didn't reflect on how good the main area was it was like chalk and cheese, if you went into the toilets first you probably wouldn't have had any food there

The experience is great and we visit here often the staff are brilliant but the only issue is we rush you round change the menu.

Every month, my friends and I, we enjoy the food, the drinks and the atmosphere, all at reasonable prices!

We have been without warm food since Saturday night (storm darrah), so when I say food was terrible you must belive me, dehydrated fish, over cooked mushrooms, and hardly any heat in the place, i was asked if everything was ok with the meal but I said it was fine as we were so cold and hungry. Won't visit again.

Booked for a Xmas party for 40 staff. Function room was spacious but self-contained enough to allow conversations around all our tables. Service was impeccable from the moment we arrived through the door. Food was fresh and all tasted great. We had a few drop outs due to weather warnings so we were provided with takeaway boxes for excess. Everyone left Xmas party full, merry and wanted to book again for next year!

Have had a lot of OK meals here over the years. This week we were served quite possibly the worst pub grub we’ve ever had anywhere.Had to send one meal back as it was cold. Returned having been blitzed in the microwave and inedible. Chicken and bacon sandwich served with dry bread, luke warm chicken and hardly any bacon. Chips burnt, or a poor attempt at triple cooked! Pub was really quiet (lunchtime) so no excuse. Not a word of apology.

Having a lovely family day (dog included) in the beer garden, beautiful day, lovely view across the Towy valley. Thought I give the app a go to order from the table. Brilliant, quicker than going to the bar, payment all sorted immediately, no fuss or bother. Will definitely use it again.

Staff seemed confused on some of the till processes. Food wait was 40 minutes. The staff were polite though and very apologetic about the wait. Food was fine which is about all that can be said about it.

Food was lovely, very quick and efficient service. An enjoyable experience all round.

Good menu choices, very polite staff. On leaving, the car wouldn't start so I returned inside and a gentleman who I presume was the boss was so kind, brought his car round and we used jump leads. He didn't hesitate. Extremely grateful to this very kind man. Lovely friendly place overall, they even have a doggy menu!

Our first visit; it won’t be our last! Conor was very attentive and looked after us superbly.

Our 1st visit and we were welcomed brilliantly along with our dog. 🐶 Beers for us and a bowl of water for Wilf. Drinks and meals 🍺🍛 followed with a chicken and gravy meal for Wilf which is a 1st for him. I think he loved every mouthful. 😁 We were treated exceptionally well by the attentive staff and will definitely call back again before the end of our hols. A*****

Lovely lunch, I had the gluten free hunters chicken and it was just enough! Staff are always welcoming and polite, especially jen who went above and beyond to cater to our needs will definitely be back

Short of time when we got there, when we got there nobody at bar, waited 15 minutes without any service so we had to leave without ordering, as we travelled from Swansea, normally we have good and quick service very disappointed this time.

Had ale pie with mash and gravy The gravy was gravy granules lumpy!!! The mash was out of a packet chef hadn’t mixed it enough I could taste the flake powder. Thrown together Also got our drink order wrong. Second time I have been there giving the benefit of the doubt. Will NOT be returning.

A fantastic Sunday lunch. The beef was gorgeous with plenty of veg. The manager Conor was so welcoming and was fab in helping my gluten free partner. Will be back!

I’ve come here a few times with my boyfriend and I’ve never had a bad experience. The staff are lovely and attentive and the food is always top notch. Absolutely shocking I stop going for food years ago because it was terrible but started going again recently and it was ok but after my last visit I will not be going back and I’ll warn friends and family not to waste money, I spent nearly £70 what a waste of money, if this is the standard you should close the business for good.

Had Sunday lunch today what a lovely pub. Food wash delicious plentiful and great value for money all the staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble I would highly recommend

Had a very nice meal here at lunchtime today, two gammon steaks with sweet potato 🍠 fries and cheesy 🧀 garlic 🧄 bread, was very tasty and the garlic bread was perfect, will definitely be calling again 👍👍🙏🙏

Yes, we were 4 guests at Tafarn Tanerdy for lunch. We ordered individual meals which were cooked in a timely manner. The quality of the food was excellent. Everyone ordered different choices of food and were very happy with the meals. Staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the whole experience. The cost of the meals was very reasonable compared to some local restaurants or pubs. I think if you require quality, quantity, and value Tafarn Tanerdy is a very good choice. Plenty of parking available.

The ordering process at the bar was slow as it was a busy sunny day and there were lots of people queuing for drinks - we couldn't use the app as we had vouchers to use that required staff attention. However, once ordered the meals arrived quickly and were good quality, everything beautifully cooked as requested. Portions were good sizes, everyone enjoyed. Desserts were delicious! 100% would visit again.

Very appetizing sunday roast today, the photo shows a kids meal, had to wait 15-20 minutes for food but overall, 5* Definitely coming again.

This place refused to serve us, waitress was rude to say the least, avoid at all costs

Asked for mixed grill, medium steak, steak came VERY well done and tough. No egg with the mixed grill. Overcooked chips. Wife had the southern fried chicken burger, burger was dry, the french fries were inedible. Very overcooked, and solid. She left them all. There was a request when booking for a quiet corner of the bar as it was our silver wedding anniversary, we were placed right in the middle of the rooom, the table wasn’t made, we had to collect our cutlery and condiments, no napkins present, and not once were we asked if our meal was ok. It felt like we were more of a hinderance than a customer. The manager and deputy manager wandered around laughing and joking and could clearly hear them joking in the kitchen. Very disappointing, and I certainly won’t be returning to the Tafarn Tanerdy. Lovely setting, lovely style to the pub, but service and quality of the food is dreadful.

We stopped in last Sunday after a ride on the Gwili railway. Had a lovely Sunday roast. It was all perfectly cooked and very well presented. They were very accommodating over my dairy sensitivity. Great service and great food

4 of us came tonight for my mothers birthday, luckily we booked a table as it was really busy with the 30% off vouchers. Our food came really quick, was really hot and tasty. Staff were all really nice and polite, our waitress chloe was fantastic. Definitely be back.

Just had a fabulous meal at The Tanerdy. After a disappointing day at Carmarthen Balloon Show we called in for food. Conor was so helpful and cheered us up with his bubbly personality. We decided last minute to come out for a family meal to celebrate a joint 18th birthday. Staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. We had a couple of picky eaters and specific orders but nothing was too much trouble

Really tasty food, great extensive menu, great selection of drinks with good service. Even though there was a 30-40 minute wait on food it was well worth the wait I had the burger which was so good, and was told the steaks were also very good nice, thick and cooked to order. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

It's been some time since I was at Tafarn Tanerdy, but I look forward to a return visit. Very satisfied customer!
