Lovely buzz to the pub, great that it is dog friendly and the food is amazing. Need to book in advance for a table at the weekend especially for a Sunday roast, they are legendry and huge!!!

Booked this a few days in advance and was looking forward to a nice last meal during our stay in Amroth. I ordered the ,"special" so wished I hasn't! It was the seabass with prawns ...all seemed OK until 4am next morning... something was definitely not right! Travelled home that day ...with a sick bag by my side !

Went last Sunday my hubby me and the dog ,best Sunday lunch out ever ! Lucky we booked it was very busy the young staff were amazing . Give it a go you will not be disappointed!

We took a detour to try this pub on our way back from Laugharne, hoping for a good meal. The Bald went for the lasagna, and I ordered the chicken curry with garlic potatoes instead of fries. The setting was nice, and the food looked decent—until we tasted it. The lasagna was burnt on the bottom, bland, and lacked any seasoning. It came with a soggy portion of chips and a basic salad. My chicken curry was just as bad, with a skin on top and a baked-on crust around the bowl. It had barely any chicken and was flavorless. The garlic potatoes were drenched in oil, making them inedible. For nearly £40, we expected much more. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Lovely friendly staff, food excellent value for money, huge portions and freshly cooked. Highly recommended by quite a few people and was not disappointed - had scampi and chips, minted lamb steak and both too full for a desert - dog friendly in the bar area

Called in for tea whilst on holiday. Staff were so very friendly and welcoming. Meals came out quickly and were delicious. I had lasagne and salad. My husband a prawn salad. Loads of prawns and both salads delicious. Not the usual lettuce, tomato and cucumber. Real variety. Mixed leaves, red and yellow peppers, cucumber, onion,tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and grapes and coleslaw. Big portion. Definitely recommend. We then decided to have cheesecake one lemon, one caramel. Enormous portions and so lovely. Here for a week and will definitely be returning again .

Wednesday early evening visit. Lovely location and atmosphere. Food choice good and portions were plentiful. Really nice burger and chips, (luckily the table next to us had a big dog who was happy to share my burger). Friend ordered an additional portion of onion rings and that was a meal on its own.

My family and I have been here quite a lot of times over the last year and this is my 2nd review of The New Inn overall. Always consistently happy with all the food choices myself and family have had here. Huge portions with many options clearly homemade. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Marie was one of many excellent servers this particular evening we visited and the restaurant was super busy due to a live music event being held over the Summer Bank Holiday weekend. All staff worked incredibly hard and our meals were swiftly brought out even though we were a large table of eight! The New Inn is one of our top 5 favourite local restaurants in the area and we will continue to visit here simply for it's relaxing, friendly atmosphere and tasty food!

Fantastic food as always. Update 2024: Good food (still very large portions). Staff were courteous and efficient, back to how it was in the past after the rudeness we recieved the other year.

We booked for a party of 5 mid Sunday afternoon. We all had the Sunday dinner with 2 ordering the chefs special. WOW....😍 Portions were massive, meat cooked to perfection, sides and gravy to die for. All 5 of us agreed it was the best Sunday dinner we've had in a long time. Thoroughly recommended. Service was prompt and polite also. Definitely worth a 5* review.

Staff mixed. Lady said her son had taken it over. She was nice. Larger younger girl miserable as sin. Food wasn't piping hot but portions are good. Service was quick. Food was tasty but it didn't warrant the outrageous prices. It's a pub at the end of the day, not a restaurant specifically. It's very good pub food. But average compared to a proper restaurant. The pub is way too expensive for what you get regarding quality and service. Beer is good. The worse thing was inside, the whole pub smells musty and dirty. We ended up eating outside because of the smell. Nice location. But cheaper food down the road and just as much in quantity. Won't return purely on value and the smell inside.

Delicious Sunday roast. Roast and mashed potatoes, parsnip, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, swede, leeks in cheese sauce, and a generous portion of meat and gravy. Highly recommended.

Best pub roast I've had in a long time, worth a dessert if you can make room.

Never disappoints, always enjoy a good pub meal here whenever we holiday in Wisemans Bridge. A big shout out to the staff - really friendly service all evening.

Just thad the most amazing meal here tonight. Dog friendly bar area - cosy and atmospheric, service from start to finish was friendly. Food was hot and delicious and like a lot of stated, ample portion sizes.

We visited yesterday for a Sunday dinner for the first time. The food was average but the service really wasn’t great. Your vegetables come out before your dinner with the staff dropping plate onto table without any conversation to say “Here are your vegetables guys” No one asked if we would like any sauces so we had to ask for cranberry sauce and was then given cranberry sauce in a plastic tub half eaten which was clearly cleared of another table which is very unhygienic. The Beef was very dry was like eating cardboard. Gravy had no flavour what so ever. The mash potato and mashed swede was very clumpy and no flavour again. For pudding we asked for a caramel cheesecake ordered ice cream with it and was served with cream and the cheesecake was broken which working in hospitality myself wouldn’t serve that to a customer. After reading so many good reviews about it being “Best Sunday Lunch” was fairly disappointed with food and service. We won’t be returning for Sunday lunch again. Their pub food is lovely but we clearly seem to have different opinions of their Sunday lunch compared to the other reviews we have read.

My husband, son and myself went to the New Inn at Amroth on our way to stay at Wiseman’s Bridge for the week. This pub had been recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. One of the best Sunday lunches we have ever had. We sat outside as we had our lovely Labrador with us and ordered a beef dinner, lamb dinner and cod.We also added extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire, as my son is a big eater. The vegetables arrived in platters, enough for 4 people! Broccoli , cabbage, mashed potato, swede, roast potatoes and leeks in a cheese sauce. The Yorkshire puddings were huge and the gravy delicious. This place was wonderful and we will definitely be going again. Delicious food. Thank you.

Nice comfortable atmosphere. Dogs allowed in the bar. Great location near the coast path and beach with lovely beer garden and parking by the river. Food was good. Standard pub grub but tasty. Portions were massive, really massive and quite pricey. Would have preferred less food and a bit cheaper price. Otherwise would have rated it 5 *

Stopped by for some Sunday lunch and went for the Chefs Special. I wouldn’t say it was cheap but the portion sizes were extremely generous and I don’t mind paying extra when the food is like this. Everything was absolutely delicious and we were all so full we couldn’t eat everything. I can’t wait to go back again!

An absolute pleasure of a local pub, such a lovely area for a walk and a then come here for a pint. Food is amazing!

Excellent food. Fabulous portions. You do not leave this place hungry!! Stayed overnight in car park. Will be revisiting very soon.

Popped in for tea and fortunately a table available for the 5 of us. Service was great. Food was very enjoyable with huge servings. Highly recommended

No review on food as didn't have any lovely little place after a stroll along the beach so we stopped to have a drink , would have had food if tables were cleaned and cleared of dirty plates and glasses I counted eight tables which hadn't been cleared away while we were there !!

Lovely pub, very very busy, if you want a table inside definitely book, we went today at 5 and managed to get the last table which was unfortunately in the way it seemed as it was near the bar, which was constantly busy. Staff were busy but always polite and smiley. Food was lovely and great portions, I had chicken burger and the wife had a chicken melt, with caramel cheesecake to finish. Would book a better table but would go back

We had the Sunday roast and it was out of this world. Super tasty, with bowls of veg and mash brought out separately for you to add as much or as little as you wanted to your plate. Massive portion and the turkey was delicious. The staff were all lovely too. Thank you for a lovely meal

Stopped by chance on our way to Saunders foot and glad we did. Everyone enjoyed their choices for lunch. Plenty of outdoor seating and doggie customers welcome too. Pleasant friendly service from the staff and good sized portions for the money, good value. We happily return. Lots of parking available

We visited here for the first time and based on the reviews already left we had very high hopes and the New Inn definitely did not disappoint. The service was absolutely top tier and the food was unmatched. Relaxed and welcome atmosphere and beautiful views. Definitely worth a visit! Will be returning for sure!!

Really enjoyed the food big big portions don't really need a starter good friendly staff recommend for a meal. Doesn't matter which meal you go for it's big.

Have friends that live in the area and every time we visit we have to have at least one meal here. Friendly atmosphere,big portions and prices aren't bad either. Well worth visiting this is definitely one of the better places to go. Leave room for puddings they are great.

Sadly disappointed in our meal, although nicely located and the servers were kind and friendly. We ordered chicken dippers and sausages for the kids. The sausage and chicken was of a poor frozen quality and the portion of beans came in a condiments dish. The mash which the sausages was badly made like it was chopped and the portion was huge for an adult let alone a child, the bean-mash ratio needs looking at! The sea bass was good and came with chips that were nice and similar to a chip shop. The roast was the most disappointing, 1 roast was ordered and came with a vast quantity of veg and the largest pot of instant salty gravy, the mash was the same quality of the kids, no offering of horseradish or mustard and no one to ask. Swede was very slushy. The positives were the location was good, with plenty of outside searing and the sea bass was enjoyed.

Best Sunday roast hands down I’m from Lancashire so I know what a real Sunday roast is!

Great quality food, everything was clearly homemade. Service was great and food was served within 20 minutes or so despite being very busy. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing Sunday lunch to eat in or takeaway.

Food was served by children under 16 after 8pm. Very quick to take your order but had to wait 1hr 15min for food to arrive. We were not the only table that asked where food was, another 2 tables asked where there food was. Food quality was great but very poor service. Had a reservation and was argued against how many people I had requested, manager then showed us to a table that could accommodate. I have been a repeated customer for years over the last decade. Since the change of hands, I will not be a returning customer which is a shame. This place holds a special place for our family but I will not be coming back. The prices are too high and service needs severe improvement

Simply amazing , everything was perfect , this place is a real Gem, superb location with sea views . Lovely choice of ales and Gins , but the best was the food ...... Great menu choices , very big portions . We were a family of 6 adults and two children , 'ALL' our meals were delicious with great service included too. We've had Sunday lunch here previously and had their fish and chips sat out in the beer garden I the sunshine , but today we were sat in the restaurant part ,such a lovely setting and a great lunch out for us all. If you are in this area ,do not miss this Gem of a pub/restaurant ,you won't regret it.

Been staying at amroth, about 3 times a year for about 5 years after rediscovering after 30 years, the new inn is always at the top of our list for food especially the Sunday dinner, good quality local ingredients, amazing flavour and you can also take away what you don't eat, Great friendly staff and service , great beer and great food , can't wait till our next holida

Very long wait times for Sunday lunches

We have visited twice recently for Sunday lunch and on both occasions the food has been excellent. The service also faultless. Would recommend to anyone, definitely the best Sunday lunch in the area. Will be back again soon

Stopped for Sunday lunch while we were passing. Absolutely lovely, one of the best Sunday Lunches I've had in ages. The meat was lovely and tender, the gravy was thick. Good selection of veg. Nothing was over cooked. We all the small adult portions, and they were huge, brought the leftovers home. Sadly we had no room for dessert, although they looked delicious. Great Value, lovely friendly quick service, a real fire, and we were allowed to bring our dog into the bar. I'll definitely be back when I'm passing again.

Absolutely lovely food here, especially after a long walk on the coast path. Their Christmas special baguette was particularly awesome. Staff were really lovely and a very welcoming environment.

Absolutely amazing food at the New Inn. Food portions were plentiful and too much to want dessert. I had the pigs in blankets as a starter and Turkey. Plenty of vegetables and gravy. Best pub roast I have had in many many years. And the Reverend James was a good beer. Service was attentive and courteous. Will definitely have another visit.

Very friendly local pub that serves good quality pub grub. Can get busy at weekends so best to book. Fantastic location at the very start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with extensive views over a magnificent beach towards Amroth, Wisemans Bridge, Saundersfoot, Tenby and Caldey Island.

I heard a lot about this place for Sunday roast... couldn't do Sunday so we tried the mix grill (Gammon, Lamb chop, Pork chop, Rump steak, chicken breast and sausages with peas, cherry tomatoes and flat mushroom) with chips or new potatoes. This is enough for two people.

Sunday lunch today was delicious - be warned though, if you order starters think very carefully before you order your main course - the portions are very, very generous !! Next time I will be ordering the child’s size main, they are certainly more than enough Beautifully cooked meats, roast spuds, parsnip, cabbage, swede, sprouts, broccoli and mashed potato, with 2 huge Yorkshire puds and lashings of gravy, served on piping hot plates. Just perfect. We will be back.

Great Sunday lunch. Absolutely delicious turkey dinner. Very busy, not surprising, so I should book. They have three two hour sittings, and some people did linger beyond two hours, which held things up for those waiting. 😊

The staff went out of their way to accommodate my vegan diet and I had one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever tasted. Wish I had the recipe!!!

Great Sunday lunch, lovely atmosphere and staff are wonderful.

Visited on a damp Thursday evening in October. The 1st time we’ve visited since the ownership change. One of the best meals we’ve had for a very long time. Beautiful starters, very large, so make sure you’re hungry. Mains were even better. Between us we had steak, chicken and a pasta dish. All perfectly cooked. Fantastic flavours. Even the side salad was perfect. Service was also excellent. Can’t wait to visit again.

Nicest vegan burgers I've ever had! I had trouble finding a vegan meal that I wanted here and having ordered garlic mushrooms I found they were drenched in cream. I should've checked. They kindly took them back and replaced my meal with a vegan burger. Very kind but not exciting. UNTIL I bit into it!! Wonderful crunchy outside filled with glorious peas/broad beans/ creamy green stuff. So tasty!! Wish I could have the recipe???

We visited for Sunday lunch which is served from midday to about 6.30 Food was excellent loads of it all well cooked and even a take away box supplied for our dog.We definitely intend to visit again asap
