Complete waste of money!!!! Meat was tough and chewy, mash wasn't even mash, huge chunks of potato mixed with what looks like what they have tried to mash potato's. Absolutely tasteless, gravy tasted burned so had to make our own. Complete waste of money as food and meat was all left

We went here for a meal as a group of 7. The service was amazing. The lady was very helpful, kind and good to talk to. The food was amazing and portion sizes were very large. The location was amazing with views of the dock. I would definitely recommend visiting here.

Ate here today we had Sunday lunch it was absolutely delicious and very reasonable priced, meat was so succulent and plenty of it, was a lovely atmosphere and felt very welcome would definitely recommend thank u so much :)

We are so glad that we called in! FOOD - my wife had the Sea Bass and I went for the ribeye steak. Both were perfectly cooked and presented. The steak came with proper onion rings, and were the size of bangles - I didn't know whether to eat them or wear them! I did notice that another diner had ordered the mixed grill that could've fed 3 people; suffice to say that the portion sizes are as excellent as the food itself. STAFF - could not have been more helpful. Pleasant, polite, friendly...everything you could want. They were also very helpful and informative regarding the various naval and sea-related memorabilia on display in the inn, local history, and the best things to see and do in the area. FACILITIES - everywhere, including the restrooms, was spotlessly clean. Can't remember if there was any background music but, if there was, it certainly subdued and didn't preclude any conversations. WHY NOT 5 STARS? - the only - and I do mean only (because everything else was perfect!) room for improvement was the ambience. The lighting was bleak, bright white and stark. Some softer, subdued lighting, lamps and candles instead of the overhead lights, some tableclothes and napkins - these really would make a great improvement. Oh, and proper steak knives for the steaks. OVERALL - delighted we called in, and would highly recommend The Shipwright Inn.

Sunday lunch . What can I say . Beef so tough you couldn't cut it Veg like mush over cooked . Yorshire pudding thick not crispy . Gravy was decent . Crumble was so hot took ages to cool down . Been microwave I would have guessed . Friendly waitress. But after saying the beef was tough, didn't do anything about it .

One of the best Sunday Roasts available in the Area.. a must visit. Take Away is also available.

The Shipwright Inn seems, at first glance, a little unprepossessing, but we stayed overnight in two of the three rooms available. The rooms were superb - in a listed building with a kitchen diner available to residents and a mountain of food of good quality from which to select breakfast options - they don't serve breakfast. The inn is a brilliant restaurant with the greatest possible level of competence and friendliness and a creative and balanced menu drawn from local produce.. The owners are superb - nothing is too much trouble and they are always ready to help with information from their store of local knowledge to add to the holiday experience of their guests

Great, fresh, home cooked food. We went last year when in Pembroke and had to come back. This was the best food we had all week and quite honestly for the portion served without doubt the best value, we will be back again when next up.

Disappointed this time. We have had Sunday lunch here previously. When we walked in, there was a funny smell About the place flies in the window. The tablecloth was sticky roast potatoes hard and able to cut. Yorkshire puddings hard and very doughy. I think the place could do with a good refurb which is a shame Because we have had some good meals in there in the past

We happened upon this lovely pub/restaurant today by chance. We are in the area on a holiday with my parents and had been out enjoying a relaxed day visiting a castle and market and decided to look for somewhere for lunch. First we were turned away from a restaurant closer to town, we found the Shipwright on Google with a 10 min walk and took a chance. Upon arrival we were met by a couple locals leaving with their takeaway carvery. I asked if could fit a table of 5 and within seconds we were sitting at table 2 awaiting drinks. We had a mixture of carvery meals ordered and soon on our way to choose our vegetables. All was superb, even chose and ate the crispy parsnips and I hate parsnips, couldn't fault a thing. Both ladies (possibly mother and daughter) were delightfully pleasant and couldn't have been more helpful. To us the place felt a little off the beaten track and had a constant flow of pre booked customers which is always a good sign. Thank you so much for fitting us in last minute. Made our day.

Absolutely love the roast dinner here. Have taken my partner here many times and she loves it as much as I do. Will definitely be making it a more regular visit.

Had a takeaway carvery and inedible is an understatement, the gravy was practically water, the roast potatoes and parsnips were burnt and the mashed swede tasted like someone had poured gone off milk in it. The best part of the meal was the container it came in.

Fantastic GEM of a pub. Came in on the Saturday night and the food being served was fantastic. Looked so good we booked for Sunday lunch this time... and we were not disappointed. Lots of the usual fayre, vegetables were self service and the Toffee Lumpy Bumpy Dessert was everything it promised. Nice to also find someone who can serve a liquor coffee as well.

This establishment has a new chef . I would avoid at all costs .my friend and myself visited Sunday for a carvery . It was inedible , vegetables soggy and soaked in bi carbonate roasted potatoes burnt to cinders. As for the beef it was like horse meat . I did not even attempt to eat it . When myself and companion complained we were offered to pay for one meal only , such a disgrace . We have been customers at this pub for a very long time . I was really unwell after the experience my tummy in bits . So I'm writing this review for others to be aware . NEW CHEF RUBBISH.

Had Sunday lunch today very disappointed. Roast potatoes and parsnips were burnt, the mash and veg were bland and the beef was horrible very fatty and appeared to be cheap cut. Had to send the meal back as it made me feel physically sick. Disappointed as had food in there previously which was really good. Maybe time to have a word with the chef.

This place is a great find,booked a table for a birthday, and we were not disappointed. They have cocktails available along with plenty of choice of largers, ciders, and ales, and good range of 0% alcohol drinks. The food is outstanding, all cooked fresh to order and the menu has a very good choice on it, but come hungry as they are large portions, the staff are very polite and service Is good, the bar has a very traditional and homley vibe I loved it 10/10 see you again.

Visited for the first time for Sunday lunch. It was fantastic. I had roast pork with a huge Yorkshire pudding. Good choice of veg cooked just how I like them and loads of thick gravy. Delicious! We were surprised to discover that pudding was included, and chose a hot cross bun baileys bread and butter pudding with custard, so good! Service was friendly and efficient. I'll be recommending The Shipwright to all my friends and intend to return again soon.

Fantastic value two course Sunday lunch carvery style. Lovely staff. Very popular. The also do takeaway which was flying out the door. We would have stayed all afternoon but they needed our table back.

We went for a meal over Easter food was fabulous portion sizes excellent service was very good staff and management very friendly would definitely go again when we are that way

I can not recommend this venue enough. During covid they have been delivering food to local residents and the quality is awesome. They are so helpful, fun and engaging.

Pre booked our evening meal for the Friday night as we were just down for the weekend. I have to say, with the covid situation, everything was handled very well. We try and have a meal here whenever we are in Pembroke. They never fail, we always find the food and service excellent. Gemma our waitress is so professional,informative and friendly, she really is a credit to the business. I had Tempura battered hake with new potatoes and salad, hubby had ribeye steak, chips and trimmings, then we both had a lovely cheesecake for desert. Sadly, I forgot to take pics of mains, the desert was very generous. Oh, and the beer and gin were good too.We would recommend having a meal at Shipwrights if you're in the area but,pre book first in the current climate. ⭐⭐⭐

High quality very tasty food. I get the impression it’s a firm favourite with the locals and tourists. Honest home cooked unpretentious food with friendly welcoming staff and extremely reasonable prices. We will definitely be coming back.

Our first visit to this restaurant has been amazing even though it’s 5 hrs from home I know if we’re in the area again this will be our first stop. Be prepared for large dinner portions and very friendly service x the food was home cooked and amazing. The team were so lovely

We just had a Sunday roast delivered. We had the chicken, pork and beef followed by apple crumble and fudge cake. It was amazing. Lots of tender meat, wide variety of vegetables and gallons (felt like) of rich gravy. The crumble had large chunks of apple in it and just the right amount of topping with a generous serving of custard. The fudge cake was moist and rich. The whole meal was just amazing and thankfully we can just relax now as we are too full to move!

Serving high quality tasty food during lockdown period for delivery or pick-up. Staff really friendly. Food always delicious, have never had a bad meal here. Good choices on menu Also they sell the most amazingly tasty cheesecakes!!

I have been ordering food from the Shipwright for delivery, It has arrived piping hot and tastes absolutely gorgeous, the staff have been very kind as well.

Called in after a recommendation, was a bit weary at first but as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by a bubbly, chatty lovely woman. The food was hot and delicious and well presented. Dessert was equally delicious...we will be back....fantastic, thank you!!

Went here today for Sunday lunch. What a friendly and lovely place. Made us welcome has you walked in the door and loved the banter right up our street. Then the food came out a choice of turkey,beef,pork or lamb and lovely fresh vegetables and proper gravy. Plenty on plates and well cooked.opted for pudding great choice and all homemade just has I like it. Most definitely go here again not just for their superb food but for the great hospitality ❤️

We went for a meal at the Shipwright Inn on the recommendation of a neighbour. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is amazing. I have never before had such a huge Prawn Cocktail (a meal in itself) and the steak I had for the main course was cooked to perfection. This is a very popular establishment (for obvious reasons) even out of season, so it is well worth booking rather than just turning up. I can assure you that if you do have a meal here you won't be disappointed.

First time I have ever been to the shipwright for food! Can't believe I have never been before the food was absolutely amazing. It all came out at the same time, food was hot and all homemade where it could be, the lady that served us throughout the evening was great, always smiling and couldn't do enough for us. Had lunch there today Fri 21 Feb very warm welcome very friendly food amazing garlic mushrooms and prawn cocktail for my wife home made lasagne home made chips and salad and the best home made steak and ale pie chips and peas absolutely superb will definitely returning thankyou

4 people managed to get a late booking atmosphere great service fabulous food excellent we all had steak for mains all cooked differently and not one complaint and that’s unusual as normally one is not cooked correctly would recommend and will definitely be returning

Went to this establishment with some friends for some food. Had high expectations due to the raving reviews on trip advisor. The gentleman behind the bar was somewhat rude , the food was average - the veg seemed over cooked and had a funny taste to it, as if it was gone off.

This more like going out to visit fiends than going to a restaurant made so welcome by the staff and then all four of us had different meals and everyone was excellent. Good banter and food what more ones anybody want?

Having read many positive reviews I was expecting a good Christmas meal but it was sadly okay at a push. Shame. My roast potato was a very strange colour on the outside and grey inside. The meat was dry both the turkey and the beef and the yorkshire puds were way overcooked.

The Shipwright Inn was recommended to us by a local lady on the street when asking directions and advice for a good place to have lunch. She wasn’t wrong. The restaurant is a little blue corner venue on the water’s edge. The couple who run the restaurant could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The food arrived quickly and every one of our dishes was excellent (fresh, tasty, good size). Very reasonably priced and definitely recommended!

Come here often with work colleagues, family and friends! Honestly such a lovely place, amazing food and amazing staff! Always make us feel comfortable! Was disappointed I couldn’t go here for my birthday as they was fully booked. Obviously no fault of themselves. My favourite place to go hands down!. Highly recommended!

We visited the Inn for a family meal this evening. We were made very welcome and the food was first class. The Thai Chicken Curry, Steak and Ale Pie and Vegetable Lasagne were delicious and nicely presented.

Would just like to say what a absolutely fantastic place to good to have food. The food was and the barmaid had us in Stitches what a lovely Person I think her name was Jem or Jemma keep hold of her as she is one in a million.

Sunday dinner is to die for! Visited here a few times with my partner and the food and service has been amazing. The staff are all lovely and chatty and make you feel very welcome! Only down side is the size of the place as it’s very small and limited seating area - an expansion would do the place great justice as it’s always popular and high demand! Keep up the good work!

I visited the RAF museum in Pembroke Dock. I asked if they could could recommend a place for quick lunch.and the Shipwrights Inn was endorsed by several of the staff..It not fancy but just plane good. Parking is available on the street outside. The view is over the harbour. Not outstanding but better than many.

We've eaten here as a family on many occasions. Always given a warm welcome, huge menu with plenty of choice. Meals are all fresh and cooked to order. Home made deserts are delicious.

We had a Christmas dinner here and I have to say it was one of the nicest pubs iv ever visited. The food was wonderful and the owners were very polite and helpful, we had a fantastic night and will definitely be back.

We eat here regularly as the food is always excellent , matched only by the customer service. We booked a surprise 50th birthday Party and it exceeded our expectations. I ordered a buffet style menu for 40 with meats , quiche , salads, potatoes etc and desserts.

Nice atmospheric old pub.p, just across a narrow span of water from a splendid Martello tower. Staff were lovely, food very good. I was really impressed with the vegetarian choices. Not expensive either. Highly recommended.

Had a great evening at the shipwright, my husband & I both had steak. He had the sirloin & I had ribeye, both of them were delicious, he said it was the best steak, he had, had in ages.

We haven’t been here for years because it was not good!! (Previous owners) Gone are the nasty plastic table cloths replaced with lovely linen ones.

Called in lunchtime today whilst out riding our cycles. Needed drinks and some food and as soon as we arrived we received a very warm welcome from the landlord. Had some excellent beer and a lovely lunch. Good was excellent and the homemade steak and ale pie was lush served up with homemade chips. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch Sat outside overlooking the water. Would definitely recommend to others.

Cozy restaurant with large selection of dinner alternatives and everything was delicious. Just next to seaside. Local drinks are available and you are allowed have your beer at the seaside while waiting for your table.

Enjoyable food but they did not seem happy seeing a assistance dog with us. We were only allowed in the cold area by the door.
