Went in just before 6pm to see about a table for supper, the staff behind the bar were extremely unfriendly and had no customer service skills at all. The barmen were cold and off putting. We were told no availability and left feeling like we were something off the bottom of their shoe. I would have said something however I had my Mum in her 70s and my toddler daughter with me and we were on holiday. Not a positive holiday experience, the chippy opposite did a great job.

We ate here on 2 occasions during out holidays. Food and service was very good. . We tried a mixture of dishes - including Fish and Chips, Curry, Beef Wellington, Lamb Shank, Burgers etc - all excellent. Landlady and other staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant was attached to the Pub (which was warm and friendly) and you could also eat in the pub if you preferred.

Tired from our seven mile walk from Tenby. We found the pub. Sanctuary. The interior is very welcoming and cosy. The ciders whether cloudy or clear are tasty. I had a real ale Doombar?? All good. Nice landlady. Please pay it a visit on the way to or from the castle. Enjoy.

I am here writing the review. I enjoyed the evening with friends and coleagues. No food available but nice terace and garden. Nice old music. Would be recommended to have some snacks at least. All in all good and satisfied, but might be better.

Popped in for an early evening supper, very quiet so no problem with table and despite other people being present it was like entering a library. Should have taken the hint! Staff were polite enough but were more interested in talking to each other than customers. I ordered hot cockles, larva bread to start and what a joke for £8 and the main of mackerel fillets and rice was tasteless and very poorly presented. Wont be back.

We ate here on three occasions during out holidays. Food and service was very good. We were a mixed party of six that included adults and teenagers and everyone's tastes were catered for. Dogs were welcome in the pub but not the restaurant. Pub also had a Space Invaders machine which my granddaughters thought was brilliant. Would highly recommend this establishment.

We ambled in here. We had been looking for somewhere nice to have a decent coffee, hot chocolate and cake... Had not been able to find anywhere so we ended up here. One of our team directed us in there with no knowledge about what we would find. And it was AMAZING! We went upstairs hoping we might get a cup of tea - and we got hot chocolate, apple crumble, bread and better pudding, chocolate cake and so much more! So well designed and such nice people. All of them. From the outside it does not look like this is what you will find - but please go and find it. It will be worth it. One of my highlights of my trip to Pembroke!

The landlady was friendly and so were her staff. She appreciated our business and took time to chat with us. The juke box had a very good, varied selection of music and the speaker system was awesome. We stayed for an extra beer due to the friendly service.

This is a recently opened restaurant and is a huge success amongst the locals and visitors a like. The staff are friendly and give a nice warm welcome. It has seating both upstairs and downstairs along with a nice terrace in sunnier climes.

Recently walking down Pembroke's High Street on a Sunday whim it was decided that a late lunch was 'in order' if available. Nothing had been ordered so we would take a chance & try a restaurant unknown to me but previously frequented by my companion some years ago. The front, although in the picturesque part of the street, was uninspiring with its entrance through a small side alley. However, the welcome as we stepped from the sunshine into the darker interior, was friendly with a positive "yes, we have a free table upstairs & Sunday lunch is still available". Upstairs was quiet with prompt service, both drinks and food ordered and brought to our table by efficient staff. Our meal was excellent. The Inn has retained some of the atmosphere of it's past history with one tableau which was best viewed after a meal but was only light from the corner window behind the scene. I noticed a toddler being introduced by her father to one of the other character models on display but luckily he hadn't noticed the 'grim reaper' nearer to our table. All part of the charm of this Inn which I definitely recommend and will frequent in future during one of my regular visits to Pembroke.

Pub Food.......NO WAY This is probably the best food that we have eaten in a pub, we called in to find the warmest welcome, dog friendly and a superb menu. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome including the dog who was offered treats as well. All the food is home made and the chef should be commended on his menu and ability. We were very suprised at the quallity, quantity and at a very reasonable price, (worth far more than we paid). We can not praise The Casle Inn enough! Very Well Done......You made our day.....Thank you Jane Alex & Simba the dog.

We came here for a birthday lunch and went upstairs. Its all been newly decorated in keeping with the Castle theme. The food was superb, all home made and a better menu option than some places in Pembroke. They have a till upstairs too and you couldnt fault the service. Will definitely go again.

Just had lunch in the newly refurbished (upstairs) restaurant at The Castle Inn. The menu is great. There is a good selection of food and not the usual boring sandwiches/paninnis. We were a table of 8. All of our meals were really well cooked. I had the garlic mushroom & smoked chicken tart, which was delicious. So in a nutshell, great food & fast friendly service. Spread the word!

My partner and I visited The Castle Inn for a soft drink on a hot day. On entering we were greeted warmly not just by staff but also the customers. On seeing you could have meals we opted for the breakfast, it was huge. We sat outside in the large beer garden at the back. What was meant to be a quick refreshment stop turned out to last 2 hours. Recommend to everyone. Thank you Castle Inn and hope to visit again soon.
