The best restaurants serving British food in South Wales

We have just been to this little place and it fitted us perfectly. Firstly, lovely people there. Got us a high chair sorted for little man the We had dinner there and it was great. It’s proper pub food. Scampi and chips, chicken curry (homemade) etc… There is a pool table and darts about if you like that sort of thing. We were visiting the village at near by Airbnb so didn’t stay so can’t comment on that but as a little pub, I’d be happy if it was in my village. I would go back for sure but to set expectations, it’s a village pub so if you expect Michelin stars it won’t be the place for you.

Land lady is amazing so welcoming had an amazing time with dj staff friendly and the regulars invited us with open arms if you have a chance pop down

Excellent food & excellent service

Called here this morning for a quick coffee break whilst out walking (keeping our steps up) and just wanted to say we were served by the most lovely young man, I didn’t take his name but he was very tall with brown hair and a beard, he was really kind and so I wanted to leave a positive post for him, he deserves some recognition for being so helpful and pleasant.

Staff Zoe and Lisa were welcoming and dressed up for Halloween we were made to feel at home

Very nice venue, visited for an after work bite with colleagues. Staff were really welcoming, food was great, nice feel to the venue. Definitely pop in next time I am in Swansea

The resturant is usless. I ordered food for delivery, it was delivered 2hrs late and was missing items and stone cold. I spoke to the store and they told me it was waiting in the resturant for over an hour after cooking before being sent for delivery. The manager agreed to call the delivery and orginised a refund and promised to call back, this was lie and I never recieved a call back. They did not care once they had my money.

Visited for the first time last Saturday. Started with drinks outside in the beer garden, then moved indoors for our meal. The setup was amazing, well spaced tables, and the atmosphere was just what we needed to unwind. Food arrived nice n hot.. Especially loved the Sunday roast! One tiny thing, tho-- wish they had a few more veggie options. Overall, we had an amazing time and will surely come back again.

I recently visited Cooper's Carvery, and I was thoroughly impressed! The service was outstanding from start to finish. Mark, the manager, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The staff was attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! The carvery options were plentiful, with everything cooked to perfection. The meats were tender, and the sides were flavorful and fresh. It's clear that the team takes pride in both their service and the quality of the food. Overall, Cooper's Carvery exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

Friendly staff, great food and good value for money
