Landlady is amazing nothing is no trouble she is always there for everyone. The bar area is a lot cleaner than it was. I have family that travel from Pembroke and they are always made very welcome.

Great place nice people 6+ costumer service if you are happy to visit the place you will not regret it at all!

Awful pub. The woman managing this pub has a mouth like a sewer and drinks too much. Used to like using this pub 2 or 3 times a week but it’s gone downhill, it’s a horrible atmosphere and I’d rather use the Crofts Or the Elms. Staff were ok but Manager always drunk, swans around in a tracksuit all day or pjs. Drink across the road in a proper pub, I’ll never use the place again, dirty disgusting drug den, Brewery scraping the barrel with the person running the pub

Nicola Dearden here on my sons account to review as I’ve been to the Clifton quite a few times but can honestly say under new management it’s a huge difference, cleaner, very friendly landlord kerry and her staff are the most welcoming. They went out of our way to look after us. We travel from Pembroke as great atmosphere in the Clifton. But unfortunately when there is sports on we have to go elsewhere to which is disappointing as we’re leaving a fantastic pub and hotel to go elsewhere which we don’t really want to leave. Travelling up soon so looking forward to seeing you all. Cheers love Nicola 🙌🍺🍻

I love this place. I travel up from pembroke 1/2 month and always have an amazing time here. And since the new land lady Kerry has taken over it,s 100 0/0 improved lovely bar snacks great entertainment and a fabulous welcome from all barstaff and local customers. I would suggest to anyone if your in Cardiff give it a try you would be made to feel welcome. 5 stars from. Me Xx

New management making a huge improvement, colourful parasols hanging baskets make the beer garden inviting. So so much cleaner also. Encouraging to have a tidy local pub again. Sunday bingo a giggle. Only down side no sky so have to leave pub to watch footie elsewhere. Well done kerry keep up the great work.

Can't believe the difference in this pub with in a few weeks. Very clean. Lovely atmosphere always something to look forward too (karaoke,bingo ect). The landlady kerry seems very friendly and confident in running the pub. I Never used to feel welcome or safe in this pub but know I have found my new favorite pub to drink in. Looking forward to the upcoming ladies night 😉

Arrived about 9pm to find live entertainment provided in the form of karaoke. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The premises were clean and tidy. The bar prices were reasonable for the vicinity of Cardiff. Though the evening was marred by two passing female 'chancers' trying to steal a handbag. - Though this was not the 'fault' of the staff or patrons.

I found this pub was mostly where regular customers go as most people seemed to know each other, they were quite friendly and didn't make you feel like they didn't want you there, which is what tends to happen when I've been to other places like this pub. But although the customers were very friendly I found that there wasn't a lot of choice in most of the alcohol sold there & I found it quite boring and really wished I had not gone out at all.

Great public house ideal for locals. Entertainment by way of Karaoke on Wednesday and Saturday evening. 2 dart boards. Pool table and skittle alley. Outside heated beer garden, great staff and management. Also has both Sky Sports and BT Sports
