A family favourite, has food that caters for all 4 of us. Service is always top. Very friendly and attentive. On this occasion the 2 forks on my table were dirty (I didn't tell them about it, just put them in my plate once I was finished). The kids love the build your own sundae. It's quite substantial to be fair.

Food, service and ambience all top notch. There are many options to choose from on the menu and there are always great offers on. The staff were very welcoming and had excellent knowledge of their products. The layout and design makes for a lovely, warming dining experience.

Popped in for late breakfast and no complaints about the food.

We arrived here at just after 6pm. While the food was good, the time it took us to get our food was ridiculous. We were on our 3rd bowl of salad an hour and a half later as the main meals had not come out. The restaurant was not overly busy as there were plenty of empty tables so fail to understand what the issue was. We had our main course and then had to get the bill and leave so that we did not incur the £70 fine for being parked for over 3 hours. Then to add insult to injury when we got home and had time to look at the bill we had been charged for something we didn't have and when calling them was told that we would have to return to the restaurant (17 mile round trip) if we wanted it corrected.

Really outstanding main course of Short Rib from the lunch menu. Starters were somewhat average, nothing special. Kate was excellent providing a great service throughout.

Another good harvester location larger than some but quite busy at lunch times…. Staff were great and catered for our requests so well done to the team there. Down side to this location is the disabled parking is around the back its like the build was built the wrong way round with the main entrance on the busy road with traffic lights instead if with the entrance in front of the car park

Friendly staff. Food cooked to perfection as evidenced by the aftermath. Coffee is nice. Add to that a bluelight card discount. Ambience lovely and cozy as we came on a quiet breakfast time. Defo recommend.

Been coming here for years, don't know what's happened here recently but the atmosphere is dull and so is the food, smaller portions for nearly double the price (shocking) and the quality of food has gone out the window. Either over cooked or undercooked. Service is average. No check backs, apparently no salt or peeper, and management look like they don't care at all and passing the blame to the staff, you're supposed to be a leader and taking responsibility. Joke. Will not be returning and recommend to anyone thinking of coming here to find somewhere else to eat. Waste of money for what they offer

Our server Ashley P was really lovely and he went over and above for us especially with the kids in our party. It made the evening really enjoyable for us. The food was brilliant, the atmosphere was really good and everything came out really fast.

A table was booked for four people for Mother’s Day. It was booked for 2pm. When we arrived our table wasn’t ready so we had about a 10 minute wait. When we were eventually sat down we all decided that we were going to go for the Mother’s Day menu. This was priced at £24:99 per person. We put our order in and before we knew it our starters were there. That wasn’t to bad but then we had about a half an hour wait for our main meals. Two people had the half of chicken and both were ordered with bbq sauce but no sauce arrived. The steak was supposed to be cooked medium but most of it was just too tough to chew. We weren’t even given a call back to check if everything was okay. The empty main course plates were left on the table for about 20 minutes. Then the desserts arrived which were probably the best part of the meal. When we got the bill we paid by car but then when we got back to the car we realised that we had been overcharged. We went back in to question it and were told that that was the price and that was that. My husband then contacted head office with regards to this and was told that a complaint would go into the manager and we would hear by Thursday. Thursday came and no contact from the restaurant. When my husband rang the restaurant he was told that the manager would be in by 6pm and he would then give us a call. Did this happen…not at all. When my husband did phone the restaurant he was being called”darling and love” by the colleague that answered. This is not the way to talk to customers. The head office have been contacted again and they said they would contact the restaurant and get them to call us but yet again this hasn’t happened. I can’t believe the service that we have had from the restaurant to head office it has been a total disgrace. This meal was booked as a Mother’s Day treat for my mum who has terminal cancer and also for me as I have not long got outta hospital with organ failure. To be over charged,totally bad service from everyone and just a total disgrace of the day.

Only had 2x fish and chips, the fish was good but the chips where still white and covered in black bits from dirty oil. Also waited about 20-25 mins for 2x brownies.

Alex was absolutely lovely, can’t express how courteous and on point the service is here. This fella should be recognised as a star employee - I’m sure he is!!! Xx

We arrived after 8pm on a weekday and we were seated in an area where the other tables were towards the end of their meals. The serving staff waited on us, cleared the other guests and tables and then I think they forgot about us. The other sections were busier and staff regularly checked on the other guests. By the time they cleared our plates it was too late for dessert (which ironically is what we had come for) so we just paid up and left. The food and drinks were ok, pretty typical for Harvester. Plenty of parking though.

Food took ages when did receive was small portions and over cooked chicken chips were hard the Mrs had halloumi fries came out black had to send back then waited for some more waited 30 mins still none had to leave. No bread rolls or butter or spread didn't replace same with salad too. Staff rushing around dropping food and drinks on the floor about 3 times in the space of 30 mins. Mrs got covered in lager whilst waiting at the bar for our table. I wouldn't have gone to there personally as I know what it's like there now gone down hill like all haversters. Kids booked it for mother's day . I would rather go to a hungry horse they all seem be OK never had over cooked chicken

As a family of 4 we arrived late (due to traffic) but were accommodated with another table really quickly. Our server Ashley P was amazing. He was really friendly,chatting to us and checking on us - nothing was too much troubled and we didn't feel rushed considering how busy it was. We all enjoyed our meals and the portion sizes were good. We will definitely visit again.

Having booked a table had to wait 25 minutes to be seated then nearly 3 hours to receive a 3 course meal. Food was nice but took far too long.

Kate was a wonderful server. Friendly, efficient, and really patient and helpful to my elderly mother in law.

Like most places these days, you're looking at £10-25 per person for a main meal. The beef tacos came with more salad than beef. Of course, you do get the free salad on the side too, but good luck getting it, as it is often left empty. The toilets were pretty grubby. The waitress was lovely, friendly, and accommodating. Great place for kids. There were many running around, screaming and shouting. Not a great place if you're looking for a quiet meal where you can hear each other over the noise.

I came with my family and the service that we had was outstanding. Shayla was our waitress and nothing was too much trouble at all for her - she was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and answered all the questions that we had. I will definitely be returning if all the servers are up to her standard!!!!!

Very nice food it left a nice feeling in my mouth. staff are polite and welcoming. Food came out hot and delicious. Bar staff and floor staff was amazing and was ready within 5 minutes.

We went here for a birthday but it was quite busy when we went as it was the 50% off deal . The waitress who served and welcomed us kept on apologizing for the night and reassured our food wouldn't be long but it couldn't be helped. The staff were rushed off their feet. When the food arrived it was delicious. Go here again.

El personal era increíble, la comida era excelente y el bar de ensaladas estaba muy bien surtido. Comimos el viernes al mediodía. El servicio fue rápido y nuestra camarera era tan educado y atento, tuvo dos malas experiencias de comer fuera recientemente en otros lugares de Cardiff y afortunadamente esto realmente lo ha compensado.

One meal incorrect dietary requirements however other meal was very nice

Unbelievable!! Wait 90 minutes for food that was simply forgotten in the kitchen. Ask to leave and pay for drinks to be told that our food is now in the kitchen ready to eat. I may have mentioned that our food should ‘stay’ in the kitchen as myself and my family were leaving. The manager at this location is quite simply an obnoxious guy, who has zero customer service skills. Told me my that attitude wasn’t acceptable for telling to keep his food, after watching many fellow customers who entered after us receive their meals. Simply unacceptable representative for the harvester chain.

Booked a table for 6.30pm Did not have a server come to the table until just before 7. Ordered food. No food brought to the table by 8. We were seeing people come in after us and had finished their meals. Spoke to server who explained they were busy and a gap is usually left between starters and entrees. We explained we hadn't had our starters. Decided we would leave as apparently our food was in the kitchen but couldn't explain why it hadn't come to table. Went to pay our drinks bill and the manager came out. Told us we didn't have to pay but didn't like my husbands attitude ! Fortunately my husband hadn't raised his voice in any way and we were disgusted by the managers attitude. Being busy is no excuse. Errors happen but not even checking in on the table at intervals to make sure everything was OK was not good. Service appalling. Didn't even get to try the food.

Pero el buen servicio del joven sirviendo nuestra mesa Pero en general no es una muy buena experiencia Se espera algo mejor en Harvesters

Ran out of steak, and some veg and some drinks. Too busy, they had a half price offer on, which I didn't know before going, but they can't cope with a demand, shame

Came here today and we were served again by Kath. She’s a great lady and always happy and always has a smile. Will definitely be back again when you get a nice server and someone who likes to engage in conversation with customer/guest. Food was great and what’s not to like about a fresh all you can eat salad bar. 🤩

We live a short drive up a dual carriageway from the restaurant but as the delivery driver was on a bicycle he had to come a much longer route hence being so late, not his fault but maybe don’t give bicycle delivery riders such jobs.

Atmosphere was good and friendly staff did wait a while to be served though and steak wasn't cooked at liking. Other than that everything was okay.

I have visited this harvester many times. Although on this occasion the service was slow due to it being half term and they where short staffed, it is normally spot on. Food was great and along with the salad you can eat relatively healthy. Most importantly for me is the fact there is such a good choice for children and they also have healthier options for them. Lunch time reservation is not normally required but during school holidays is recommended

From the moment we entered it was bad, the queue to get in was massive and not a great atmosphere at all. I had booked a table for 2pm, we got there around 1:55pm and was made to wait 20 minutes before getting a table. There was a family of 3 behind us that were very rude and kept pestering the staff to find them a table even though they hadn’t booked. I had told them my reservation and the man at the desk said yes your table will be ready in 5 minutes which I didn’t mind waiting as it was busy but 20 minutes after the family of 3 got their table before us, I went to complain to the man that we were first and had booked a table in the restaurant for him to tell us oh your table is ready, you must have been in the toilet which we hadn’t we had been waiting all that time in front of him, there was no mention of an apology and we were then shown a table in the bar when I had requested to sit in the restaurant which was even more off putting as the family of 3 had their table in the restaurant! We sat down but with 2 young boys that had been waiting for a long time I asked one of the waitresses if we could have the salad bowl so I could get my children some food, to be then told that’s not the rule you have to order first but I said we had been waiting for a long time for no reason and hadn’t been seen yet, the waitress did eventually get me 2 bowls for my boys. We then went on to order our food and drinks, drinks came out fast which was great but me and my husband never had our salad bowls so I had to get them myself again (even though we had followed the rule of ordering first). We got our salad and sat down and found that we didn’t have any cutlery which I then had to go and ask for cutlery as well (not happy at all). We waited for our dinner which by now was around 2:45pm, when it arrived both my sons food was ok and my husband enjoyed his but mine was very over cooked (picture attached) my chicken was black and very dry. I’ve got to say we usually go to Harvesters thinking that we always have a lovely time and delicious food but this Harvester was quite disgusting, rude staff, burnt dinner, laid our own table and no soap in the toilet! I will not be recommending this place to anyone. Very disappointing 😞 Not even an apology or a way of showing kindness!

I visited the Harvester with my partner and from moment I walked in I felt comfortable & relaxed, staff were superb & have to say "Cady" stood out & she went that extra mile - she gave exceptional service with smile on her face & had good product knowledge & despite being busy ensured we were okay throughout and wasn't pushy in any way allowed us to order in our own time, service was great - ordering process was simple & food arrived in good time (I had Dirty Burger+ & my Partner had Original Combo) and sat at Table 35 - food was hot & tasty and atmosphere was great venue was clean and I liked that staff appeared happy and bubbly made the when experience enjoyable for us - genuinely couldn't fault visit & will certainly be back next time I'm in the area "K"

Visité el Harvester con mi pareja y desde el momento en que entré me sentí cómodo y relajado, el personal era excelente y tener que decir "Cady" destacó y fue que milla extra - ella dio un servicio excepcional con sonrisa en su cara y tenía buen conocimiento del producto y a pesar de estar ocupado aseguró que estábamos bien en todo y no fue agresivo de ninguna manera nos permitió ordenar en nuestro propio tiempo, el servicio era genial - proceso de pedido era simple y la comida llegó a tiempo (tenía Dirty Burger + y mi pareja tenía Original Combo) y se sentó en la mesa 35 - la comida era caliente y sabrosa y el ambiente era genial lugar estaba limpio y me gustó que el personal parecía feliz y burbujeante hizo la experiencia cuando agradable para nosotros - realmente no podía culpar a visitar y sin duda volveré la próxima vez que estoy en la zona "K"

Haven't been here for a while but heard good reports so we decided to give it a try. The place is very pleasant and the staff are very friendly and efficient, special thanks to Katie, she was lovely. Out of the 4 of us 3 had the fish and all said it was beautiful, I had a gammon steak and it was disappointing, overdone and chewy. Drinks are expensive and I was surprised that they had no Guinness which is my drink. But the one thing that really annoyed me was the amount of text messages I had regarding my booking. I had the first one which was the booking confirmation, great, then in the space of a few hours I had 4 texts stating that they were looking forward to seeing us, then finally one as we were en route again saying they were looking forward to seeing us but this time we were warned about registering the car which was helpful. But why bombard people with texts? Booking on line was a breeze but I wont do it again as I don't want lots of text messages.

Estábamos celebrando el cumpleaños de nuestro Hijo - suegro - junto con nuestra hija y nietos. Tanto nuestra nieta y yo sufrimos de alergias alimentarias y cuando el servidor vino por nuestro pedido le dijimos que yo era alérgico al huevo y las aves de corral y nieta era alérgica a los cacahuetes. Pregunté por Gammon sin el huevo y ella dijo que estaba bien y que lo servirían con piña. Aparte de que a nuestra nieta le dijeron que no tuviera ninguna de las salsas ya que contenían cacahuete, ella estaba bien con su pedido. El resto de la familia ordenó y el servidor nos dejó. Regresó en unos minutos y dijo que no podía comer el gammon ya que estaba cocinado junto a pollo y huevos en la misma parrilla. Dije, vale, entonces comeré bistec como lo había hecho antes y el chef lo había cocinado bajo una parrilla en lugar de en la parrilla donde se cocina todo lo demás. Ella se fue y luego regresó y dijo que el Chef no podía hacer eso y que la persona que lo había hecho anteriormente había roto seriamente las reglas! Ella me dio el menú para hacer otra elección de comida. Pensé, que para estar seguro tendría la hamburguesa VEGANA. Se lo dije y me dijo: "Pero eso se cocina con pollo, huevos y carne". Le dije que por lo tanto NO era VEGANO. ¡Pero ella dijo que los clientes veganos no tenían problemas con que se cocinara junto con la carne! Así que le pregunté qué podía tener en realidad y ella dijo que realmente solo podía tener las conchas de pasta en salsa de tomate. No me gusta tanto la pasta pero, como tenía hambre, me di cuenta de que no tenía absolutamente ninguna opción. También me sentía muy mal por mi Hijo - suegro - Ley, ya que estaba destinado a ser su celebración de cumpleaños y estaba causando una "molestia". Resulta que incluso la comida vegetariana se cocina junto con la carne y las aves. Seguramente va en contra de la ley afirmar que algo es vegano o vegetariano y no ser completamente. Cuando hablé con el servidor al respecto, dijo que sí declaró en el sitio de alergias para Harvester que esto era así. Envié un correo electrónico a Harvester al día siguiente pero, hasta la fecha - 6 días después, no he recibido absolutamente ninguna respuesta. Obviamente no les importa un higo el servicio al cliente. Por cierto el plato de Pasta Shell era horrible y solo pude comer un par de bocados.

Dined here on two occasions recently, the food was tasty, hot, and presented with care. Nice atmosphere with decent spacing between tables. On both occasions we were served by Ashley ( one with hair the other bald) both went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our dining experience there. Would highly recommend this eatery…

I ate here on 5/2/25 with four other family members. The food was fine - I always enjoy the food in Harvesters - but the place was freezing! We asked the waiter if they could turn the heating up but at first he said the temperature was controlled by head office and they couldn't change it and then, after speaking to his manager, he said they were waiting for a plumber to come and fix it. We had to sit there in our outdoor coats and I was particularly concerned about my mother-in-law, who is 94, who said she was feeling unwell. As I said the food was fine, although my wife complained hers was cold but it probably got cold because the whole place was freezing. Many others were complaining as well. Not good enough!

The host, Mike did a fantastic job, so tentative, food was delicious, best scampi, delicious! Mike is a true ambassador for your organisation, Harvester, you should be so proud, he is an asset for your organisation. Thank you Mike!

Visited lunchtime today, Thursday, 6th Feb 2025 with my son we had ribs and scampi, which was delicious, great service, our host Mike was so tentative, hardworking and welcoming. Mike is a true asset and ambassador for your organisation. Thank you Harvester!

Food was great and the service was great

Incredibly frustrating interaction with the host yesterday. We arrived to a quiet venue at 1pm to be told that the next table would be available from 5pm 'if we'd like to wait or come back', we then check online to see if we can make a booking and it's accepted. We asked the host if there was a bar table available or something quick as we had our toddler with us and really just wanted a sundaefor them. I was trying to avoid pointing out around 10/14 empty tables and directly asking for those. His response was 'it's a busier Sunday than normal and they would be soon fully booked with a table of 20 coming soon' Mental.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Elise. Nothing was too much trouble. The food and service was also excellent.

I can't speak highly enough of this Harvester Cardiff Bay. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome from the from the Manager on duty Mike. A special thanks for accommodating us as I wrongly entered the number of guests. Harvester was especially busy on this night as the Cardiff devils were playing in the Viola Area which is very close by. Mike was very attentive and reassured us not to worry, he would have a table within a few minutes. Literally a few minutes later, we were seated and enjoyed our drinks whilst looking at their fantastic choice of menu. We had a very friendly waitress by the name of Cady, who was working her second shift, we would have never guessed that!… Cady was very helpful regarding the menu, very attentive, super fast in delivering our meals even though it was very busy. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals in a great calm atmosphere. All the staff on our visit were very friendly and welcoming. A big thanks to Mike the manager on duty, and Cady our server. We will definitely be back! 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Pretty awful. Probably understaffed so can’t blame the staff, but they seemed tired and so service wasn’t good… food pants. Took ages to arrive.

Food was decent, as you'd expect of a harvester. Service was poor. They were clearly short staffed as the waitress told us she's usually out the back not waiting on. Waited a long time between courses, and so long for desert (20 mins or so after finishing mains to get desert menu and another 10 mins for them to come back and take the order) that we didn't have time for desert at all.

Great meal, great service and great price. Staff all friendly and helpful. Shout out to the young waiter this evening who went out of his way to inform myself and other customers of 50% discount via the Harvester app!

No chicken strips, only chicken fries. Crackerjack prawns off the menu. Only tempura ones not much prawn in them. Rest of meal was usual decent quality. Ribs could have done with a bit longer cooking time.

We come mostly lunch times for their lunch menu and find the place hospitable relaxing and the food especially chicken meals superbly tender. Portions generous. Salad bar tasteful. Staff despite being busy (Kath) attentive. Non alcoholic drinks expensive but water is free!

I took my mother down for some lunch and it was honestly some of the best food we have ever had our lovely waitress Elise was the most delightful person ever always attending to our needs and just being such a help with my mum since she has some allergen requirements Definitely will be coming back for the food and the services.

As far as harvesters go, This was one of the best ones I've been to. Great customer service and the food was great.

Thought I'd treat myself and my son to a harvester but was disappointed. It was nearly 40 mins till our food arrived and for the price we paid it definitely wasn't worth it I expected more than we got. Food was nice but won't be going again I've had better in other restaurants and cheaper to
