Very welcoming by the hostess however the tables that'd been left were uncleaned and gave an appearance of lazy staff that were not very good at clearing up...

Great ambience,clean,amazing service!Child’s menu very good and dessert for free which was a huge Sundae!My room steak was delicious so were the onion rings(probably the best I’ve had)and the salad bar was yummy.My Nan enjoyed her bread rolls with the Lurpak butter. First time eating at Harvester and it’s on my list already! Keep up the good work with your value-for-money food and excellent staff service👏👏👏

Me and partner popped in for dinner. We were served by someone training but had no issues. Food came out hot and fresh, with plenty of choices. The tables were clean Price was maybe a little more than we expected, but it was worth paying for. Would go again

Not the best experience. I booked a table in the restaurant and was seated in the bar. It was cold so we kept our jackets on. There was no chicken available, the salad bar was empty, there was no bread in the basket and the drinks refill machine was out of order.

I had to wait 10 minutes before they gave me a table, until then I had to sculpt there. After that, I sat down to eat, I had to wait another 30 minutes, then they brought it out, I ate it, but the waiter forgot the dessert I ordered, but I already received the bill. He apologized and brought it out, I ate, paid and left. Unprofessional!!

My glass had lipstick stains on it, the food was quite bland wouldn't of eaten it if I wasn't starving. One member of our party's food was conpletly cold the halumi was solid as a rock. The servers are fine just doing there jobs but for a not very busy time it all did take a while maybe their understaffed? Honestly wouldn't recommend the manger did give us a free round of dessert as an apology which was nice but have no plans of returning

Decent food, lots of veggie choices, although the salad bowls aren't as varied as they used to be, although you probably won't need a starter.

Lack of staff was the problem, Our waitress led us to our table then disappeared. Eventually another waitress came and took our order . We got our salads but had no cutlery, I had to get cutlery and serviettes for us myself by searching around. Eventually our food came which we all enjoyed except the mushrooms were non edible as couldn't get our forks into them .waited a very long time for the bill .mushrooms were taken off but we had no service during our visit due to lack of waitresses.

excellent service from tom took our order and did all we asked for and read it back food was amazing chicken cooked just right and steak was perfect even though well done it was nice and tender accommodated our requirements really enjoyed the meal

Nothing was great! We waited 25 minutes at our table and wasn’t even asked if we wanted a drink let alone what we wanted to eat. Lots of empty tables that were full of dirty plates and staff and manger very rude when we asked if we could order. She didn’t even apologise when we said we was leaving and just replied with ‘ok’ this is the second bad experience at Cardiff bay and we certainly won’t be going again.

The waiting time to order was over 40 mins then had to wait another 45 mins for our food to arrive. You need more staff

It's rather annoying you can't have jacket potato with most meals now,which is a great shame as I dislike mash and rice and would prefer a healthier option instead of chips.

We came to The Harvester for a family event and received a lovely warm welcome from a gentleman (Mike, I believe to be his name) at the front door. We then received a friendly and speedy service from Shayla. She was extremely polite and made us feel very welcome. The food was amazing and a great value for what we received. The premise was clean, tidy and very welcoming. Thank you to everyone who made our experience a pleasant one.

Awful experience at this restaurant. One of the meals ordered was a half rack of ribs with sweet potato fries, the ribs were so small with no meat on them that I’m not sure what animal they came from, these were accompanied by about 10 fries. We couldn’t even turn to the salad bar as this was empty, after about 2 attempts to ask staff to refill it, they obliged and filled the pineapple!!!!! When we had the after meal survey come through we did complain again and highlighted all the above issues, but the response from the restaurant was laughable and an embarrassment to the company. This used to be a nice restaurant but not anymore.

Arrived at 1630 and shown straight to our table with menus. Took a while and they came and asked for a drinks order and shortly after food. We are a family of four and two meals arrived. Ten minutes later we asked where the other two meals were and they eventually arrived with minimal apology. Quite some time after we finished they cleared our plates and brought dessert menu over. After a long wait we gave up with ordering desserts and went to the bar to pay. we left at 1800 and hours and a half after arrival only having had mains. Waitress was working very hard same cant be said for two of the blokes that worked there

Went for Mother’s Day The salad needs to be fresher had to ask for butter, thousand island sauce to be refilled as totally empty… also yours steaks are terrible I had a ribeye this time it was really fatty all the way threw was more left on my plate than I ate… it was rubbish for the cost of it… also came Valentine’s Day 3 times my steak went back was suppose to be sirloin but wasn’t, definitely RUMP so I’m sorry need to sort it as it’s part of main meal cost £123 waste of money!!! Edited…had a reply saying to dont hesitate to contact restaurant manager ?? That’s thing I did !! Going to have to find another restaurant as for £123 is a lot to eat out.

My children wanted to take me out for mothers day 10/3/24 and I chose this harvester, overall the food and service was good but I will say portions has gone very small for the price that you pay. I was very disappointed and a bit angry that my son didn't want his unlimited salad at the restaurant he wanted to take it home and was told he would be charged £2.99 because he wanted to take it out. As far as I'm concerned that is very unfair so my mother's day ended up disappointing because of this harvester. I wont be choosing harvester to go to on mothers day again. My daughter was going to book this restaurant for her passing out parade but has changed her mind.

Our son took us for lunch. Food was good, but service was awful. Understaffed front of house. Took an hour and half to get food to us, then we were given another table's food! When our food finally arrived, they'd left the steak off a mixed grill and had put liquid cheese all over a burger, despite being asked to leave the cheese off. We were told that the delay was due to having to wait for the rotisserie chicken to be cooked! Overall, a poor experience. Avoid this place when it's busy as they are understaffed and incapable of keeping a rotisserie loaded!

The manager greeting us, believe his name was Mike, he was absolutely amazing, interacted with the children, our waitress Shayla was fab, nothing was too much, food was spot on. We will be back, thank you Cardiff bay Harvester.

Great choice for an impromptu late lunch with two hungry children. Buffet starter to keep everyone busy until the mains arrived. Food well-cooked and service warm and friendly. My daughter didn't like the veggie fingers but they seemed okay to me. An absolute bargain. All of us left very satisfied and felt treated. Excellent value, atmosphere cosy and relaxing, environment clean and well presented.

We visited here for lunch on the 21st February. We were served by a lovely lady called Kate. It started off with just me and my husband but then our daughter wanted to join us. I spoke to Kate with regards to this and she was so so helpful. As we had already ordered our food Kate went into the kitchen to see if the chef would hold our food order which they did. Kate was very attentive and even asked us if we knew what our daughter wanted to eat so that it would be ready for when she arrived. When she did arrive her food arrived just as ours did,which was a nice touch and organised by Kate. Kate was a lovely,friendly waitress and nothing was too much trouble for her. We believe that she is a credit to the restaurant.

One of the better Harvesters, staff are great food is good good parking only I criticism is how expensive it has gone now ! Used to be great value for money ?

We visit here often but yesterday was the worst experience we've had at this branch. Whilst we appreciate it was busy due to a rugby and ice hockey match on the same day, the staff were rude and service was poor. We arrived at 6pm - 8 in total having booked, and after being seated waited 45 minutes for drinks and cutlery despite order being taken and salad bowls provided. When we asked for cutlery and the drinks they were eventually brought to, and slammed down on the table, with no word from the waitress. We attended last night for my mother's birthday and it just ruined the atmosphere and was very poor considering how great things are usually. Manager provided 33% off bill but proceeded to laugh with colleague who was also rude as we walked out the door - considering if we'll ever go back to this branch

Went for a family meal for a midweek treat. Unfortunately it was a bit of trial. My wife is walking disabled and I asked for disabled seating in the restaurant area. The disabled parking (and all the other spaces) is situated at the opposite side of the restaurant to the entrance, so we had to walk all the way round the building. The staff couldn't decide which table to give us and we eventually ended up on a table in the bar area (although it was by the open fire, which was quite welcome). We then waited about half an hour before our order was taken. When the food arrived, my steak was so tough as to be inedible. When I went pay, we were ignored at the till until the manager noticed and arrived to scatter the staff doing something else to the till. Don't think we'll be going again soon.

No tables available, I came with no reservation and they managed to clear a table for me for a quick snack. Everyone was rushed off their feet but they did great with the staff they had as they were a bit short. Also the food was decent.

I really like the food was very good but the services poor! We wanted to make a surprise for a friend but was some issues. First of all the table was not ready at 7 pm how we discuss, ballons not ready also! We arrived and wait in looby and was not as we expected! Moreover, after this we are asked to eat the cake birthday from tissues papers??!’ This is was very bad, how we could eat from tissues? Terrible !! I have to beg for plates , all the guests waiting ages to eat the cake while no plates! Very dissapointed! And the cake was also warm, even kept in the fridge as we came earlier and left it ready for the party! I don’t know if I will came again! Is a shame because the food was really tasty but I believe staff needs training with guest interaction! I will mention staff Bianca was very helpful and help us with the plates, very nice girl! As advice from my part, please try to engage the staff in more trainings and manners interactions! Thank you!!

It's a harvester so don't expect anything crazy, however I will say the staff was lovely and the food came out pretty quick and was tasty. The chicken is where it's at but I would not order maybe the fancy fries as I paid an extra £2 for a bit of sauce, maybe e swap them out for sweet potato if you want something different. My partner had the stuffed pasta which was very nice. The salad bar was pretty standard and personally not my favourite bit. The amount you get was loads but for three of us with only a single starter, 3 mains and 3 refillable drinks it cost £60 but we found if you gift yourself a gift card you can get yourself 11% off, so a little tip for you all. Overall I would recommend this location if you want a good standard experience at Harvester.

After not visiting a Harvester for a very long time we decided to give it a go again. The first time that we returned we were served by a lovely young lady named Elise. She was so so friendly,helpful and answered any questions that we asked her. Me and my husband had the rotisserie chicken and OMG how amazing did it taste. It just fell off the bone and it was so juicy and just gorgeous. Could have eaten more(which is very unlike me). The salad bar was full with plenty of choice and the refillable drinks were well worth the money. After such a great experience at that visit we did decide to visit again. The time we were served by another young lady named Jessica. She was just as friendly,attentive and helpful as Elise was. The experience this time was just as great as the first time even though this time the restaurant was so so busy,the staff didn’t let the service down or the standard of the food. Yet again we both had the rotisserie chicken and it was just as delicious as the first time. Sometimes you can get fed up with the same food again but this chicken I feel I could eat time and time again. We have booked to come for Valentine’s Day due to the fact that we enjoyed it so much on our previous two visits. Thanks again to Elise and Jessica for making our visits so enjoyable. These two ladies are a credit to the restaurant.

You know what you are getting with a Harvester. The premises were clean, staff were very friendly and inviting but most importantly the salad bar was full. Jessica was our waiter today and she did an ace job, she was informative and helpful with a smile and she also engaged with a bit of banter. Food was what you’d expect with Harvester and it all came out very quickly and was all tasty. They offer a variety of different type of sauces to accompany your meal (the bourbon sauce being especially good). I mentioned this to Jessica and she informed me that you can buy the selection of sauces on offer to take home(Upselling I like it). So a good visit 🙂.

The food was really good. Everything was fresh. Usually chain pubs are average but this is a nice modern place with great food. Kath served us and was brilliant. She was on it from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble for her. Thank you.

The internet was tactically non existent and as a consequence it was difficult to retrieve our 40% off voucher. That said two members of staff were extremely helpful and the task was completed in the end.

Big shout out to Jessica, she served us very well and made us feel comfortable, nothing was an issue for her, just got on with the job, keep up the great work. We come here now and again as it's our local one and it was a pleasant visit this time, food came quick and overall really good.

Paid 9.99 for waffle bacon and chicken. What a scam the waffle was a pre made one which you can buy in Tesco for £1.15 two slices of bacon and two chicken breaks certainly not worth more than £3 . Left hungry and annoyed. To add the server was slow to take my order had been sat for 5 minutes while waiting for her. The atmosphere was boring as it was empty . Guess the prices are the reason why

We arrived for lunchtime. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but we had to wait over 15 minutes to be seen to. Service was slow. The chicken was quite dry. ( usually moist and tender) Not sure if we would return. Maybe go to our usual Harvester in llanedeyrn in future.

Me, my partner and our 3 week old baby popped in for lunch on a cold Monday. The staff were very attentive and helpful, making sure we were sat near a radiator for the baby and giving us a larger table to allow for plenty of room. The food was delicious and served with very little wait. I had the half rotisserie chicken and my partner had a burger and both were cooked to perfection. Excellent service and food quality and I will definitely visit again.

Found this place on our way down to visit some family. The food was good but what made our night was our very nice server shayla. 10/10 night thanks to her service.

Booked a table for 4 and were warmly welcomed. We’re given a nice comfortable table next to a lovely cosy fire. We had steak, chicken combo, salmon and scampi. All our food was excellent and our waitress lovely. The bill was very reasonable too. Would definitely return.

One of the best restaurants in this chain that I've visited. Really good food and very helpful and pleasant staff. Varied menu reasonably priced. Free parking. Toilets upstairs but they do have a disabled one downstairs.

Went on Christmas day food was served very quick presentation was great our waiter was very good his name was Steve maid us feel welcomed nothing was to much trouble, if I did have to say a negative it very small would have liked to had carrot 🥕 with our meal apart from that thought it was great value
