It's a Beefeater. OK food, service fine, poor selection of beers.

Pretty standard for a beefeater. Air con was on too high unfortunately so we were a bit cold but the staff were very attentive and the food was good value.

Had a lovely afternoon last week at the Longbow Talbot Green. The service was brilliant with Ethan L. He was attentive and knowledgeable. He is definitely an asset to the team.

Food Really disappointing, x 2 steaks very bland, dry and suspect they were microwaved. The steaks were done really quickly. Chicken wings no flavour. Kids meals equally as poor. Never been before, I can honestly say that for the price of the fillet steak (£22) it was the worst meal I've had. The tiniest pot of peppercorn sauce which didnt spread over my steak (and boy I really needed it to add flavour) They really have no excuse for food this bad as it was 21.30 and the restaurant was a quarter full on a Saturday evening so not really busy. Service was decent, a nice young polite waitress. Atmosphere is what you expect from a beefeater. I stayed in the Premier inn next door hence the visit. When I consider that I had an excellent steak from Miller and Carter for the same price I feel quite cheated lol. FYI, this is the first review I've ever posted, I don't consider myself fussy, this should give an idea of how disappointed I am. I noted that most of the diners returned to the Premier inn which is quite telling

Me and my sister were using the tap in the bathroom but we got soaked

Our server Jess was very attentive, with quick service and a smile. Our meals were hot and well presented. Ordered halloumi starters (hot and fresh) and a prawn cocktail plenty of prawns. 2 steak samplers and a chicken for mains. Again hot and fresh. All 6 steaks were cooked perfectly and full of flavour. 1st time in a long time to a beefeater but will be revisiting soon!

We were served by Russell tonight he was doing a few tables so we could see he was always busy but our drinks and water came a few minutes after we ordered them and he ask us a few times if we like any more drinks or water our meals came soon as he could and not a very long wait between each meal too . Russell was very polite and helpful

We popped in this evening, and clearly from the start you could see they are massively understaffed compared to outside school holidays. Only 1 bar man and the waiting staff frantically trying to take orders and clear tables. Although they were under so much pressure they were still very courteous, have to give Rhys a special shout out as he was so apologetic but also an amazing character to have working there Beefeater need to give this venue more staff as they are massively overstretched

It was lovely and clean, with quick service and a nice atmosphere. Our waitress was wonderful, a woman I believe was called Lara, though I may have the spelling wrong, was so attentive and helpful, we were grateful to have had her serving us. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food apart from a small complaint about the steaks quality, though it was nowhere near enough of a bother to actually complain about. I definitely recommend it to those looking for an evening out for food that won’t turn out expensive.

Had a perfect meal here tonight first time we had been , no complaints about me wanting my fillet, and no phone number to talk to anyone steak well done , can't fault the meal, but when we looked at the bill when we had got home we had paid for cocktails we never drank any

We had the most amazing waitress who was wonderful with my 3 grandchildren & elderly mum. Sadly I didn't get her name to give her a shout out on here but she served us on Sunday 14/7 @ 12pm but thank you for a fabulous experience

Booked a table for 6 last night for my daughters Birthday. Staff were amazing from start to finish- so friendly and helpful. The service was fantastic -Nicole (hope that's right) was brilliant. Couldn't ask for better. Everyone enjoyed the food and company. Will be visiting again. Thank you so much.

Lovely setting and very busy for a Wednesday lunch time. 8oz Sirloin steak was good value at £12 on the lunch menu but nothing special. The salmon and rice was from the a la carte menu was very good.

Met a good friend for coffee.. Really nice atmosphere, great coffee and table service which was a lovely surprise We didn’t try the food although from what I saw, it looked nice and good portions

My sister and I stopped here for lunch after a shopping trip. Was served by the lovely Shaunagh who was attentive and cheerful without being too full on. We both had the haddock and chips with mushy peas which was delicious. The place was clean and atmosphere great. Only negative were the uncomfortable seats. Too deep to grasp to pull up to the table unless your arms are twice as long and the actual seat part only accommodates your bottom so you have the feeling of only perched instead of sat. Would still recommend as the food was excellent.

Sadly not impressed. Somewhat overpriced for what was served up. Presentation not great and the tomato was something of a scrap end. Definitely won't be rushing back.

Exceptional service from Ffion. We had a wonderful meal and a great evening. All the family enjoyed themselves. Thank you to all the staff and a special thank you to Ffion once again for going out of your way to make everything perfect.

We stayed at the Premier inn, and had all our meals at the beefeater. The restaurant was very nice , food was good , We were served by a lovely young man called Jordon, who always greeted us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for him, and I feel he is a credit to your company . We were in a party of 4 and travelled from Plymouth., and would definitely visit again.

Usual Beefeater offering. Gets quite busy, so be prepared for that. Staff work hard to keep up. Food and premises as you’d expect. Worth booking ahead.

Was here for my cousin's birthday, the food was delicious! I had the 74 Beefeater Combo with a side of Mac & Cheese. The chicken breast was honestly the best chicken I've had in a restaurant for a long time! (I highly recommend this!) The staff were also lovely, they were very friendly and helpful! I would definitely come here again!

An impromptu visit with family on a busy Saturday evening. Accommodating staff moved tables to fit us all together. Server was amazing...and this isn't the first time with this lady serving me there. We had an over night stay next door at Premier Inn and dinner here The service and food was excellent

Had a brilliant time. Food was first class and delicious.

Had breakfast after a night in the hotel next door. the only downside was that the toaster was broken.

Can't say it was a bad meal it was the portion size I had 14 chips and had to ask for slaw that was supposed to come with the meal! The wife had a few more, don't know if we had the last of a lot cooked but other guests seemed to have more.

Have never had bad food whenever I have been here. The staff are always really polite and very helpful 😀

The restaurant was not full but busy. Food was ordered and arrived in a timely fashion. Food was well cooked and tasty. Don't expect high end food after all it is food produced for a mass market. It was a good visit.

Whilst the food when it eventually arrived was lovely the wait was unreasonable. I had my 8 year old child with me who had ordered a starter as part of the kids meal deal. After a extensive wait and a child who was so hungry I went to find a waiter to ask about my child's starter (it was only nachos so no reason why such a simple dish should take so long) to be told that it had been on the hatch for wait staff to take to the table for some time and it had essentially been ignored The lady was apologetic and took it straight to the table but it shouldn't have took for me to prompt them to take food to the table.

Food used to be a lot better than it is now. As with all restaurants it depends on the staff on your particular visit.

We enjoyed the Gamon meal and went large it was absolutely beautiful, moist, tasty, and highly recommend you try this dish well worth the money.

Lovely place to eat, reasonably priced.

Really good service, food was good and tasty though I'd say a bit overpriced but if you're at the premier inn next door you pay a bit extra for convenience. Cocktails were really tasty, 100% recommend the zombie and 2 for £10 is decent IMO. Breakfast buffet is good, the sort of spread you'd expect from a premier inn all you can eat. Wish the scrambled eggs were a bit better but you get what you pay for I guess. Everything else was good and the cranberry juice was proper tasty not the sharp stuff you can get sometimes.

Steaks were excellent. We had ribeye, and sirloin which where could exactly as requested. Service from front of house and our waitress Lara was excellent too even though the restaurant was very busy.

Sub par overpriced microwave grub. Alright for what it was. But too much cost. Could have done a decent shop with the cost for the 3 of us..nuts money.

We visited February 17th as a group of 12 for my mother’s 60th. There were 3 of us that arrived first, we waited about 25 minutes for our first round of drinks and long waits for other drinks that were ordered in between. The food was about a 50 minute wait also which we wasn’t told about. Food was ok but not all that. On the 19th February I received a phone call from someone at the longbow to advise that the last transaction hadn’t gone through, the bill was spilt in to 3 and the last payment being just under £200, the guy that called, not sure if he was the manage but he asked if I could drive there to pay it. My partner called back as the payment was still pending with his bank and also asked if there was a way of paying over the phone if the money had gone back into his bank. To be told that we can’t pay over the phone but he was happy for us to transfer the money to his bank and he could then pay to the pub. I’m not sure if this guy is aware but he should be being in the hospitality trade that that would be classed as money laundering! Anyway the payment went through after a few days but how many people have they tried doing this to and people ending up paying twice? I could have gone back down that day and paid the amount which would have been a total of just under £400.

A very nice meal here, really enjoyed it. Service was enthusiastic and good. (Downside, it's expensive for what it is, and the meal could have been a better more reasonable size, more chips, less salad leaves!!!) Try finding a voucher or deal before going. We still enjoyed ourselves. Good dinning experience.

Excellent place for a drink and great grub served here. I spent 3 weeks visiting the hospital for my daughter and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Particular thanks go to Armando, Callum, Abby & Rhys. They take customer service to a whole new level - #beefeaterbeststaff

Spent a long weekend at the Llantrisant Premier Inn and ate in the Beefeater on site. The food was great and the service excellent. Would love to recommend three members of staff, Lee, Ethan and Ffion for their friendly and professional service which made our stay very memorable. In spite of the very wet weather we hope to return in the future as we still have plenty to explore in Wales!

The driest food I’ve tasted in all my life, may as well of the sand of the Sahara Desert over the mixed grill. Food must have been stood waiting to be served for ages to get to such a stale dry looking plate, drinks took ages to be served even though the restaurant wasn’t exactly busy. Our waitress was nice but the food was appalling. Thought I was going to break my jaw on how stale the churro was too.

We stayed in the premier inn and always book the breakfast. This pub was the attached restaurant, the greeting was nice and the two members of staff were attentive and nice. I ordered some vegetarian items they were really nice. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn’t up to premier inns usual standards, there was no cranberry juice, no alternate milk (we brought our own)no decaf coffee sachets no fresh whole fruit. The member of staff did apologise he said the delivery hadn’t arrived. Overall a decent breakfast that could be better.

We were told not to expect much, yet we throughly enjoyed our meal. The service was great, everyone left happy and the picture on the menu made our day No complaints at all.

Well over a 40 minute wait to be served. Main meals brought to the table before the starters. One of the Drinks order NEVER brought to the table. Spoke to the duty manager in a calm and polite manner, and was told to “chill” it’ll be sorted by him. Totally unacceptable attitude, spoke over me numerous times. Clearly didn’t want to hear anything I said. Found him very condescending. Did put a £30 voucher on the bill. But never going there again. Shoddy service Shoddy management

Went there to enjoy a 40% off meal only offer. Ordered ribeye and a sirloin. First thing to say the amount of chips were minimal, then secondly and most importantly both steaks had to be sent back. Manager served the replacements, with no word of apology or for that matter any social inter action. He needs to smile and take a leaf out of our young waiter's book on how to look after customers. We'll done Etham! We used to be regular customers but no thanks, we'll not be returning.
