Amazing food and service! What a brilliant place. The food was amazing with loads of veggie and vegan options. Delicious and varied. The service was second to none. We were served by a charming man called Woody who was super helpful and polite. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

The Creigiau Inn have just bagged one of the top chefs in the Country. The food was stunning to look at and the taste, superb. I had slow cooked roast Lamb with all the trimmings. Simply Outstanding.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you and well done to the team here, whilst struggling with an agency chef, the staff were absolutely phenomenal, respectful, polite and caring towards our needs and issues! Even though the food was not up to their usual standards and taking ages the young waiter was very polite and understanding of the situation. It takes a lot for people to admit, To not being their usual standard and for that I hold my hands up! I will definitely be back for their usual level of food and excellent quality x

Very disappointing experience. We went on a Friday lunchtime to try out this venue which has in all the years we've known it undergone several changes of management. It was cold, uninviting and pretty much empty. We ordered a first and second course, fried whitebait, pate, chilli con carne and fish and chips, pretty standard fare. We also ordered a bottle of merlot wine. Well the food was bog standard and was delivered from the kitchen at speed. Tired and unimaginative. The chilli straight from the microwave via the freezer, bright with copious carrot, tasteless, no accompanying sour cream, coriander or dressings it looked like dog food. No care or love in its preparation. The cod was nothing to write home about. The chips commercial oven chips. Commercial tartare sauce and a few tipped on green leaves from a bag of salad leaves completed the plate. The wine was cold and non description red wine, no indication of origin or grape type £17.00 The place was cold unheated and empty. Clearly if no clientele is expected for lunch, it shouldn't be served. We could have gone anywhere, we could have gone to the award winning restaurant down the hill and paid just a little more for a quality meal from its lunchtime special deal, we wished we had!. I don't see many people from the local community people eating here in the Creigiau Inn. It makes one wonder who is writing the positive reviews. £57 paid, we won't be back! Poor.

Went to the Creigiau Inn last night. Delicious meal of pheasant in cider sauce. It was absolutely lovely.

Must say what an outstanding Sunday dinner. Food was amazing! I know this pub is under new management with new chef etc. It’s nice to go into this Pub with life again. It’s has been awful for many years now, but finally this management and chef are a credit to themselves. Bar barmaid was exceptionally good. My only criticism is the speed of service, on the food. A little more experience over the next few weeks I’m sure they will improve and nail it. I would 100% be going back and forth to support their journey to success. I can see it becoming a lovely place to visit with family and friends!! Overall 9/10 soon to be 10/10 fingers crossed for them.

Didn’t look as though much thought had gone into making or presenting the food, and it definitely wasn’t value for money. Expected better.

Sunday lunch is a delight on the tastebuds. Beef to Cooked you your preference, gravy is outstanding and the sweed mash is like no other sweed you will taste. ingredients are quality and an amazing chef. Louise and the team have done an amazing job turning this place around and to top it off it is family friendly with a bunch of toys to entertain the little ones. Highly recommend

Lovely relaxing friendly pub! Had a delicious Sunday Lunch here it was one of the best I’ve had it was such good quality. The customer service here is excellent too. The new landlords are obviously doing an excellent job.

Sept 2023. New owner and what a difference it has made. Nothing is a problem. Great service. And great food. So pleased this pub has been rejuvenated by the new owner.

Haven't been to the pub for years even if I leave 5 minutes walks away Since the ownership changed recently it looks like I can only hear good things about it. I have twice in the last two weeks for the pub quiz. Can't say a lot about the food yet but the chips are really nice 🙂. The ambience during the quiz is really good and it's nice to see the village back in the pub. Will try food soon

I've lived in Creigiau since 1967 so have seen a lot of coming and going of people trying to make a go of it. I live in Canada these days but come back a few times a year. New management is excellent. Louise and Tony are great hosts and new cook is great addition. If you haven't tried for while or never been, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Have just come home from Sunday Lunch at the Creigiau Inn. New folk Tony and Louise are really turning this place round and making it the best it has been in years. The meal was great with frsh veg and yorkshires etc very good and home made. Since they have arrived I have had breakfasts and weekday lunches and can only say very good. They are providing great food and a warm welcomb which ultimately can only be good for them and the village.Keep it up.

My family and I have just had the most amazing Sunday lunch at the Creigiau Inn. The food and service were second to none and the buzz at the pub was the best. People were coming in for a drink, seeing the food and deciding to eat, and even though they were fully booked, they found room for them. Highly recommended and more of the same please. Thank you and you will definitely see me again.

Went here today for Sunday lunch and it was phenomenal! Very well presented, cooked to perfection and tasted outstanding. The service was fluid and very well managed. Kudos to the front of house staff and waiting team. We were made to feel welcome in a lovely family run pub. Hands down the best Sunday lunch I've had in a long long time! Highly recommended and we will 100% be returning.

Hate to write negative views but this place never seems to retain owners. Went there during the early evening for a beer, there is a lovely beer garden and it was just as well we could sit out because the racket from the piped music inside was dreadful, I saw quite a few people walk up to the place and then leave and I'm not surprised, you couldn't hear yourself think inside the bar. I hope this isn't going to be the norm because, whilst people do like background music, this was like sitting in a disco. Beer was good, easy parking although an unfriendly and miserable barmaid served me.

Love beer selection. Popped in for a quickunxh bite. Lovely pizza and quick service. Just what we wanted. Will be going back for more lunches and hopefully the odd evening too.

A warm welcome to Chris and Ally who clearly have plenty of experience it's fabulous to see them working so hard behind the bar as well as the kitchen The pub is spotless and smells clean. We recently ate here for Sunday lunch. We had roast beef dinner and the hunters chicken - genuinely the worst meals our family has ever had. The ambience was not family friendly either. Don't be fooled (like we were) by the social media reviews. Will never return.

Friendly people, BIG portions, food hit the spot

Sunday lunch was tasty. Management were very rude when we questioned an over charge on bill. They refused to correct as system wouldn’t allow them to remove erroneous costs.

Very average pub, could be fantastic with a little care and ingenuity. As a rural pub, families will often pop in but I feel that children are not welcome in the pub. It's such a shame.

I recently visited this pub with my wife. After we sat down I went up to the bar to ask how the food service worked. While I waited I could hear the landlady saying to a few regulars “We should just send them back, all those f***ing p*kis.” Just to clarify, my wife is half Pakistani and could hear the landlady’s comments from the bar, as did I. Having previously held my birthday meal at this my local pub before I decided to book a table again . How disappointed was I . We arrived on time and checked in with bar staff and opened a tab . The table allocated was too small so after checking with bar staff we moved to a larger table. So they knew we were there . We were slow to order but at no time did anyone tell us that the kitchen was closing early. We checked with the bar about what was the soup of the day only to be faced with a debate between the staff whether the kitchen was still serving. It wasn’t a busy night so there is no way they forgot we were there . The “ manager” if you can call him that didn’t even have the decency to come across to our table and explain , he just shouted across the bar to our table that the kitchen was closed . The bar tender had more manners about him and came over to apologize. I will never frequent this pub again . We would have spent in excess of £200 in food and drinks . If this is representative of the service at creigiau inn then I am not sure it will survive much longer

Venimos de Swansea para recordar a nuestros nietos y siempre hemos disfrutado de la comida aquí, como dije en la revisión anterior, las comidas que tuvimos fueron absolutamente deliciosas (las mejores scampi de mi vida) mis porciones de los nietos eran muy buenos, realmente disfrutaron. I went with a work colleague for a catch-up on recommendation from friends of his. We were certainly not disappointed. The service quality of food and portion sizes were really good. Would have no hesitation to make a return visit.

En crédito para él, fue educado, pero obviamente estaba enfadado y un poco desconcertado. Ella no lo echó o le pidió que se fuera, pero terminó amenazándolo con violencia si alguna vez regresaba. Nosotros mismos y el grupo de jóvenes 'Clientes que pagan', todos parecían desconcertados y desearon nunca haber separado nuestro dinero en este lugar. Esta es la segunda vez que he estado en Creigiau Inn en tantas semanas, esta vez llevamos a mi madre y mi suegra para el día de la madre y no me decepcionó.

Visited here Friday 11th Jan for a evening meal

Visited as a party of around 20 for Christmas lunch. The pub is a little shabby inside and could do with a makeover, having said that it has not lost its village pub personality. The barmaid was very friendly but the queue at the bar was a little annoying as the rest of the staff seemed more interested in talking to the regulars leaving just one girl to serve at the bar. Good beer and the food is reasonable but make sure you have a large appetite as the servings are enormous. Easy parking but unfortunately they do not allow dogs into the pub which is why I rarely go there, there is a nice beer garden to the rear.

Visited Creigiau Inn for first time today. Food was delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced. First class service from Kira - such a pleasant, friendly young lady.

Fantastic food, great drinks and service, beer garden is great for the kids and they even provide games and books to keep them occupied. Landlady is very welcoming and and friendly. Will definitely be visiting again :)

We go here quite often. Never had a bad meal or drink. There is plenty on offer from their normal menu and ever changing specials. Staff are always friendly. Would recommend this family pub to anyone.

Excellent venue. Food was great value and plentiful with excellent vegetarian options. The service was brilliant and the staff could not have been more helpful or welcoming. The venue was very clean with great facilities.

Definitivamente no vale la pena el viaje.

No es la mejor comida, comida de pub demasiado cara. Sobrecargado y, básicamente, con mala suerte: agregaron mis bebidas hermanas a mi cuenta y cobraron por ellas dos veces. Se le preguntó por el gerente, quien a regañadientes le devolvió la diferencia. La mesa sucia no parecía haber sido limpiada por años. No se hizo ningún esfuerzo con las comidas, el paté podría haber venido con un pan mejor. Burger era demasiado graso. ¡Currys era mucho más picante que madras! Las ensaladas laterales estaban secas y obviamente preparadas y olvidadas. Los baños estaban sucios, uno tenía el rollo de papel higiénico y las cerraduras de las puertas no funcionaba. La puerta del jardín de la cerveza no tenía una trampa ni nada para evitar que se abriera, lo cual no es bueno cuando los niños se topan con los autos.

Food is always plentiful and reasonably priced. We've been several times recently and the Sunday lunch is well worth a try.

Friday night 6 of us booked for food at 8.00 we arrived 5 mins before greeted us with a smile and a friendly hello we were shown to our table ordered our drink food . When our food came I was amazed plenty of good quality food . We come on a Sunday for lunch as it’s amazing i like a good plate of food and you certainly get that best around and trust me we been around I done it for 18 years In a country pub do I know what a dinner should be like oh and the gravy is to die for . Fabulous staff. Linda and Dave honest hard working people who make time for everyone who passed through the door. chef knows how to make the plate look inviting. I read the last review they must have stopped off at the wrong place coz everyone I’ve recommended this place to just sing its praises. It’s traditional pub spotless friendly what more do you want !!’

After walking the Circular Walk, my wife and I arrived on a Monday afternoon - around 3 pm - at the Creigiau Inn.

That's where it ends, good pint but terrible service and miserable staff, pub in need of attention as furniture tatty, not sure how they are still open. Shame.
